(Mawlana Shaykh stands.) Allahu akbar kabeera walhamdulillahi ‘l katheera wa subhaanAllahi bukratan wa aseela. La ilaaha illa-Llah. La ilaaha illa-Llah. La ilaaha illa-Llah. La ilaaha illa-Llah Sayyidina wa Nabiyyina wa Mawlana Muhammadun Rasoolullah, Habeebullah, Noor ul-`Arshillah. Allahuma zidhu `izzan wa sharafan nooran wa surooran sultaanan wa ridwaana. Wa man tabi`a tabi`ahu min `ibaadika min al-Awwaleen wa’l-Akhireen yaa Rabb. (Mawlana Shaykh sits.)
As-salaamu `alaykum yaa `ibaadAllahi as-saaliheen. As-salaamu `alayka yaa Sahibu 'l-Waqt. As-salaamu `alaykum yaa Budala, Nujaba, Nuqaba, Awtaad, Akhyaar ma bayna al-mashaa`riq wa' l-maghaa`rib.
As-salaamu `alaykum our attenders from Mankind and from jinn, because there are some ones appointed for protecting Mankind from bad souls from jinn and shaytans. From Mankind and jinn, some are appointed to look after all Mankind so that bad souls and Shaytan can't touch and injure them, because Shaytan and its armies have poisoned arrows, not ordinary ones.
O People! Say, a`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani 'r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem. Run to Allah! That means run to those ones who are representing holy ones from heavens. They must be on this planet as this planet can't be without guardians from jinn and Man also. Huuuuuu. O People! Say, bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem. It is your protection when you are saying, a`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani 'r-rajeem; and also say, bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem. It is your protected area that Shaytan can't step on.
O our Attenders! When I was in childhood there were the days of festival, and so many people were coming and enjoying, selling and buying so many things for children to make them happy. like riding on horses and coming around and such things. I was perhaps 9-years-old or 10-years-old and the `Eid festival place was nearby. I was going and once I met a person sitting. His tarbush, fez was tilted. He was an old Ottoman with old-style customs (clothing), and he was sitting. I was looking that so many children were around that one. I was coming and looking at what that one was saying. "O my attenders, look, who gives half-piasters will take three piasters (old Victorian coins). I am putting here. You give half-piasters, and I am giving to you three piasters.” They were making like this (pulls hand back quickly) and they did not know what was happening. So many children were coming, "Give half-piaster, it is for me, this (in the water) is for you, take and go, I will put another one in." There was a small box with water and a silver coin in it and he was asking them to take it. He was doing, (turning a handle) brrn, brrn. (like an electrical noise). “Take! Take, why you are not taking?! You put half piaster, and take.” He was making like that, brrn, brrn, and we were not knowing what is happening. He was saying, “This half-piaster for me, and this for you. Take it and go away. I will put another one.”
When Shaytan is asking to approach us and we are saying, a`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani 'r-rajeem, the angels are going brrn, brrn, brrn, and Shaytan can’t come and is escaping. Shaytan thinks Mankind is left haphazardly and it is easy to touch Man. And so many are trying this (referring to electric box) and are not giving their piasters and taking them away. If a person is saying, a`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani 'r-rajeem, Shaytan tries to touch and runs away. Therefore, say, a`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani 'r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem, and then don't worry if it is asking to touch you, it will escape. From east to west, from north to south, Shaytan is more than Mankind and fills everywhere, but they can't do anything if a person is taking his guard. Don't forget to say, a`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani 'r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem. That is important for every time that Shaytan is trying to touch people or to send its poisonous arrows.
Once I was going to the market and I asked Grandshaykh, "Anything to say, O my Master?"
"Nazim Effendi, go as you are going, with salaamaat; safely go and safely come." What does that mean? When I came back, he asked, "What happened, Nazim Effendi?"
"As you are saying, I did."
"Did you understand what I meant to say?"
"As you said, I understood it, or is it difficult to understand what you said, 'Go safely and come safely'?"
"O Nazim Effendi, Shaytan is everywhere. If a Man goes out of his house, seven shaytans are around to make him do something that makes Allah Almighty unhappy with him."
If there are seven shaytans for men, what about women? Seventy shaytans are waiting for women with arrows on them! Therefore, when they are going out, half their mind is left in the market and the other half comes back. (Mawlana Shaykh laughs.) And the Lord is completing their mind until they are going out again. That means, don't leave Shaytan to throw its arrows on you. Some arrows are ordinary and some are poisoned. Poisoned arrows make a person ill. The illness may be for their physical being, it may be for their hearts, it may be for their minds, or it may be for their understandings. That is dunya. Therefore, to guard people, Allah Almighty is ordering, "Say, a`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani 'r-rajeem, then say, bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem, and you shall be protected." And now, everywhere is 100% full with poisoned arrows. People think their illnesses are only from their physical beings and some wrong things in their physical being. No! Poisoned arrows are touching people and making them ill and no doctors or medicines can treat them. Doctors are saying, “Up to tomorrow, you are going to be okay. If so, we have hope you are going to be healthy.” Mashaa-Allah. So quickly you are understanding? Mashaa-Allah.
O People! Our attenders, beware! You are writing, "Beware of dogs," and you should write, "Beware of Shaytan." First, O Salaf us-Saalih `ulamas, and second, Azhari 'sh-Shareef `ulamas, and then doctors of Shari`ah, I am saying, are you going to say to people that they should beware anything? If you say that you are not understanding, how can you claim you are doctors? Laa hawla wa laa quwwata illa billahi 'l-`Aliyyu 'l-`Azheem. Allah (swt) is ordering His servants, "You must have someone that warns you against the most dangerous thing." And the most dangerous thing for Mankind, physically and spiritually, is Shaytan or following Shaytan, nothing else. Therefore, Allah Almighty says, a`laanu 'l-harb, ordering in His holy book, al-Qur'an al-Kareem, that you must declare war between you and your dangerous enemies. A`laanu 'l-harb, Allah (swt) is ordering the nation of Muhammad (s). (Mawlana Shaykh stands and sits.) Standing up is good sometimes because most of the people are falling asleep, and when they stand up sleep goes away! (laughter) Therefore, I am advising Salafi `ulamas and doctors of Shari`ah, stand up from time to time. People are saying, “What is going on? Did something happen that he is standing up?" Yes, if standing up for five minutes they may hear. Stand up! That is a good way to take away heedlessness from people. Salafi `ulamas are saying, “We know everything,” but I am teaching you something you don't know! You must come to me for teaching you. You must come! (Mawlana Shaykh stands.)
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ اتَّقُواْ اللّهَ وَكُونُواْ مَعَ الصَّادِقِينَ
Yaa ayyuha 'l-ladheena aamanoo ittaqullaha wa koonu ma` as-saadiqeen.
O you who believe! Fear Allah and be with those who are true (in word and deed). (9:119)
Stand up a little bit to leave your heedlessness and not be sleepy. (Mawlana Shaykh sits.) Some of them are thinking, "What is happening? For what are we standing up? We are standing up but I am not understanding. We must look at what the doctor of Shari`ah is saying. If he is standing up, we must stand up also." This is a good style for addressing people, particularly for khutabah, Friday preachers, because they are making it so long and people are sleeping; they are even dreaming! (laughter) When you say, "Stand up," people are thinking someone is attacking the mosque, then standing up! (Mawlana Shaykh laughs.)
Someone asks, "What happened?"
"O my brother, one snake just appeared that they are asking to get out. Therefore, our speaker is warning us to look after it."
"Where is it?"
"Just passed."
"We must take much more care!" Then they are awake and listening.
Allah Almighty is saying, "O My servants! Keep My orders with the most high respect. I am the Creator and you must try to be as I like. If you are not going to be as I like, I am sending you away, throwing you out!"
O `ulamas! You must declare it to people to be careful, not to be thrown away from the Divine Presence. The one thrown away from the Divine Presence is finished! That is important; to be with your Lord, Allah Almighty. (Mawlana Shaykh stands.) Some people are sleeping, perhaps our attenders, so many of them. Therefore, I am making them stand up. (Mawlana Shaykh sits.) "O my brother, I was just dreaming and Shaykh says to stand up. I lost what I was dreaming!" Better.
O People! Give your high respect and take high respects from heavens; don’t take imitated respects from Earth. That is nonsense! Try to take real respects from heavens. When the Lord of Heavens, the Creator, is happy with you, He is granting respect from heavenly ones. That is better. Don't ask for respect from common people. Respect from this life doesn't have any value but asking high respect from the Lord of Heavens allows you to take real respect. Allah, Allah. SubhaanAllah. Sultan Allah. People are not interested in such things because they have not been taught. The Holy Qur'an gives life to peoples' spirituality and their physical being. Those who follow heavenly teachings never say, "O my head, O my stomach, O my feet." No, a good life has a good end. A good life in this world will be an excellent life in the next, Eternal Life.
O People! Try to prepare yourself for an excellent, most sweet, most joyful, most pleasing and satisfied life! Ask for that life and try to reach it before you leave this dirty life. Our physical beings are always becoming dirty, outside and inside. Beware of being dirty. What does it mean, O Salafi `ulamas, وَثِيَابَكَ فَطَهِّرْ wa thiyaabaka fa-tahhir? “Clean your clothes.”Are you understanding what is thiyaab? This physical being is covering our spiritual being and that is our clothing. Keep that physical being clean and you will be happy, here and Hereafter. Your physical being will be taken away in the Hereafter because you will be dressed with another dress that belongs to Eternity. Don't waste your time to this very short life, but try to reach that Eternal Life in very clean clothes. If you are not cleaning your dress, you will be cleaned when you are dying or when you are in the graveyard, or the Day of Resurrection, or when you are going on the bridge of hells. If not enough, you will be falling down to be cleaned. It is so simple to clean ourselves in this life, for Eternal Life. May Allah forgive us.
O People! Try to be clean ones. O our `ulamas! What is cleanliness, what do you understanding about it? You say that you are doctors, then say what is cleanliness of our selves? We are not making our souls on one hand and our material being on the other but both must be observed. What does it mean, tahir? Washing with so many things? No. Wa thiyaabaka fattahir, make your material being so clean that you will not be taken away to a cleaning place. Clean ones are going to a clean place and dirty ones are going to a dirty place. Keep your way. Dunya is making people dirty. Try to make it down. Don't make reaching large sums of money and treasures your last target. They are not giving you any cleanliness. Throw away what is in your hands and come to Allah Almighty, to His Divine Presence, so that He may grant you what no one can imagine, what no one has seen, and what none among people may understand. And that opening may come to you on the Day of Resurrection, يَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ الْأَرْضُ Yawma tashaqqaqu 'l-`ard, “The day the Earth shall be cleft.” The whole of heavens and Earth will just open and give what is in it. That means you, yourself, everyone has a special world. Your dunya belongs to you, His Highness' dunya is something else. That will just open and you may look inside it. May Allah forgive us.
Allahu akbar wa li-Llahi 'l-hamd! Tawbah yaa Rabbee.

Some music is making you dirty, and some music that belongs to heavens gives you cleanliness, happiness and enjoyment. Look to that heavenly music!
