Yaa Rabbee, dastoor. (Mawlana Shaykh stands) Laa ilaaha illa-Llah, laa ilaaha illa-Llah, laa ilaaha illa-Llah, laa ilaaha illa-Llah, laa ilaaha illa-Llah Muhammadun Rasoolullah `alayhi salaatullah. As-salaamu `alaykum, thumma as-salaamu `alaykum yaa `ibaadAllah as-saaliheen, min yawmina haadha `ila Yawm ad-Deen. And we are saying, a`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani 'r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem. (Mawlana Shaykh sits)
As-salaamu `alayka yaa Sahib az-Zamaan, as-salaamu `alayka yaa Qutb al-Mutasarrif, as-salaamu `alayka yaa RijaalAllah, many Rijaal. Who are RijaalAllah? Madad, yaa RijaalAllah. ‘A`eenuunaa bi`awnillah, give us spiritual support, O Men of Allah! Support us with Allah’s support!
O our Attenders, who are happy to come. As-salaamu `alaykum! Why are you leaving the treasures of this dunya to come and listen? That is a sign of Qiyamah, that common people will leave their work and business to come and listen. Such a thing never happened before. I mean to say it is a sign of Qiyamah. How come you left dunya? Take much more of dunya! Make another business, make new companies. And run to buy some new shares because the price of oil is rising.
"O my brother, oil is okay, but we must try to reach much more gold, because oil prices are average, but gold prices are super, super. Oil prices are like an old-fashioned plane, but gold prices you can’t imagine. The price of gold is going up like missiles! Therefore, we must try to run after gold."
"Yes, sir. What can we do? We are working on our simple share, but you are kings on Earth, carrying gold from everywhere, piling it up."
"Yes sir, I think so. And I am planning to build a golden pyramid."
"Very, very good. Excellent! Oh, you are so busy, you have no time to attend."
"But today by chance I am sitting with you and looking at that old person speaking, and I am really interested because something new is being addressed, something that is true."
"But what shall we do? We must use a scale to keep both sides balanced, yes."
And I am laughing that our attenders have left their business and have come to listen. Bravo! Capital to you! Marhaban! Where are our never-smiling Salafiyoon, always-angry people? Towards whom are they angry? To common people, because, as they say, "They are not giving their full attention to follow our ways! Still they are running after old customs, old schools of ideas, schools of old ones! They run after those who claim, ‘We are Sufi people!’ That is taking the rest of our lives from those people! Every time we think of them our hearts' light goes away! Therefore, the shaykh says we are never-smiling people. How can we smile when common Muslim communities are not following us, not even listening to our speeches and lectures?" And when they begin to make a lecture all of them have an effect like taking ten sleeping tablets.
One says to another, "I heard with my ear."
"O sir! Does anyone hear with their nose? Why you are saying this? How you can say this?"
"It is a normal thing, yes, I heard by ear!"
Another one is saying, "O my brother, last night I took so many sleeping tablets but couldn't sleep. But today I came here for Jumu`ah and one of the Salafi `ulamas gave the khutbah, and such sweet sleep came to me until my neighbor said, ‘Oh! You slept enough. We are praying Jumu`ah. Stand up!’ It is so effective that I must advise you that if you can’t sleep, please come and listen to them. And in that moment you will go to sleep, perhaps up to the morning prayer. They have such a power. I never understand it."
O our Attenders from Salafi `ulamas! Marhaban! Kayfa ahwaalikum, how are you? I think you are happy because when you are listening you are beginning to smile a little bit. Laugh! Don’t worry. Laugh! It is free, without paying money, so laugh! Laughing is better than crying. Allah likes it when His servants laugh! That shows that he is happy with events, but crying shows that he is under oppression. Allah Almighty never likes this. Smile when you are getting up on the minbar. Don’t sit down on the third step. Go up 13 or 14 steps that people may look at you to see if you are happy or angry. Why are you getting up on the minbar angry? Why are you angry with common people? Because you are teaching people to leave everything and to follow their egoistic desires. If your main reason was to give people hope and call people to be happy with heavenly beings, they would never be unhappy.
O Salafi `ulamas! Say, there are so many ahadeeth ash-shareef. I don’t know them all, but sometimes they make me remember. There is one hadeeth ash-shareef, a well-known hadeeth of Prophet (s), but it is hadeeth al-Qudsi, meaning Allah Almighty is speaking and putting in words for the Seal of Prophets (s). What did the Lord of Heavens say? (Mawlana Shaykh stands) He is saying, Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem.
سبقت رحمتي علي غضبي
Sabaqat rahmatee `alaa ghadabee.
My Mercy precedes My Wrath. (Hadith, written above the Holy Throne)
Allahu Akbar! Shukrulillah! Shukrulillah! Shukrulillah `ilal abad! (Mawlana Shaykh sits) The holy command to the Seal of Prophets (s): (Mawlana Shaykh stands)
وَبَشِّرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
(O My Habeeb!) Wa bashshiril-mu'mineen!
And give good tidings to the believers. 2:223
That is Qur'an al-Kareem. (Mawlana Shaykh sits) It is a warning for those people who are cutting the way of the Lord of Heavens, His endless rahmah, mercy. Say, and teach people to love Him! SubhaanAllah! That is perhaps the most important mission of prophets and holy ones. What is that? Misriyoon, Egyptian people know it more than others. Therefore, Egyptian people are always happy, but Hijaaz people are always, `aboos al-wajhi kareeh al-mandhar, frowning faces, disliked appearance. Why? Allah gave everything to you, and your faces are sour. Why are you so angry? Because Allah gave to you so many oil wells and so many gold mines and therefore, you very angry, `aboos al-wajhi, never smiling, never granting to people anything to make people laugh? Allah!
O Salafi `ulamas! How are you? You are saying, "We are `ulamas." What does the Lord of Heavens, Rabbuna wa Rabbu 'l-`Alameen, say? What was His wasiyah, advice to Sayyidina Musa (a)? (Mawlana Shaykh stands) Saying, yaa Musa, habib `ilayya al-`ibaad, "Make the servants love Me." Habib `ilayya al-`ibaad, habib `ilayya al-`ibaadi. (Mawlana Shaykh sits) Mashaa-Allah, for the honor of Ramadan al-Kareem where Allah Almighty’s Mercy Oceans are pouring and asking to reach everywhere. That is a grant, habbib `ilayya al-‘ibaad. Allah Almighty ordered Sayyidina Musa (a), "Don’t make My servants to run away from Me. I like that they love Me." Allah! Allahu Akbar! Subhaan sen Allah! Subhaan sen, yaa Rabb! Subhaan sen, Sultaan sen.
Be happy, particularly in this holy month. Holy months are also happy or happiest months. Give more, O mulook, kings, and make `ibaadAllah, the servants of the Lord, happy. Give! Don’t save, because Prophet (s) said:
من تشبه بقوم فهو منهم
man tashabaha bi-qawmin fa huwa minhum.
Who imitates a people is one of them.
That is a heavenly message reaching to people. Why you are going to be like Qaroon? Why are you not giving naseehah, advising all mulook and shaykhs and rich ones? Why are you not saying? Allah Almighty is warning, "O My servants! Don’t be like Qaroon, who was only collecting and not giving." And Allah Almighty made the Earth swallow him. Why are you not giving? Give and don’t fear! Don’t fear! So many millions of people cannot find anything to eat, or clothing to wear, or homes to live in. Why are you not running to help them? It is a big chance for you to reach high levels of Paradise, Jannatu 'l-Firdaus. Who is preventing you? Your ego. Who is teaching your ego? Shaytan. Don’t follow madhab ash-Shaytan, the school of Shaytan.
O Salaafiyoon! Tell! Which of you is sending anything to needy people here and there? May Allah forgive us. This is the holiest month, about which Sahaabah (r) said the Seal of Prophets (s) was always generous, but in this holy month he was so generous, such generosity was from him that you can’t imagine.
O Salafi `ulamas! Why are you not advising mulook, shaykhs and rich ones, to follow the way of the Seal of Prophet (s)? If anyone claims they are Salaaf as-Saalih, they would be giving everything for Allah, leaving nothing for their egos.
O People, `ulamas, `umarras, mulook, everyone! Think about it is the first day of Holy Ramadan. Open your doors, open your treasures! Give to people, because none of you know if you will reach another Holy Ramadan! May Allah forgive us for the honor of the Seal of Prophets (s).

Mashaa-Allah. They will be happy. Tomorrow our attenders must come and hear, and leave dunya a little bit more, and come and try to be servants of your Lord, Allah Almighty.
