(Mawlana Shaykh stands) Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem, SubhaanAllah, alhamdulillah, laa ilaaha illa-Llah, Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, wa lillahi 'l-hamd! Allahuma thabitna `ala 'l-Haqq. Allahumma thabitna `ala 'l-Haqq. Allahuma thabitna `ala 'l-Haqq. Yaa Rabba 'l-`izzati wa 'l-`azhamati wa 'l-jabaroot! (Mawlana Shaykh sits).
A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytaani 'r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem, bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem! When we are saying, bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem, those holy words may take everything that gives trouble to people. And we are asking from Allah Almighty His endless blessings, to grant us a power, a capacity or ability to speak to His creatures, those that have been chosen to be deputies of the Lord of Heavens on this planet. We are not deputies on endless dominions of Allah Almighty; we have been granted to be deputies on this planet only. (Mawlana Shaykh stands.) You must understand:
وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلاَئِكَةِ إِنِّي جَاعِلٌ فِي الأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةً
wa idh qaala rabbuka li 'l-malaa`ikati innee ja`ilun fi 'l-`ardi khalifah.
And remember when your Lord (O Muhammad) said to the angels, "Verily I am placing in the Earth a Deputy." (2:30)
(Mawlana Shaykh sits).Yes, it is clear for understanding. O our holy one (Sayyidina Muhammad [s]), who supports weak servants of Allah Almighty on this planet, grant us some heavenly grants! And he (s) is saying, "I am responsible and I am that one who just chosen and granted to reach Mankind on this planet, to make them on their real aspects, to show them the ways of holy ones that are following bi qadami sidqin, the footing of Truth."
O Salafi `ulamas! Marhaban! We shall come now to you because you are claiming to be `ulamas. And we are first-level people, in need to understand something from Holy Qur`an. And we are taalib (seekers) asking from muhtawa, content, that includes Holy Qur`an. Sometimes they are asking some things and making this zero one to speak on it, and we are asking what does it mean? Something that is important, they are throwing in my heart, giving some lights that are showing some never-changing realities that you may see. Therefore, we are in need to have such a person who is carrying in himself a torch (flashlight). And fully people have a torch. But as an example, we may say everyone may have a candle, but it is not awakened. With which thing is a candle awakened?
When I was a small one--people think I was never a small one--but when I was seven or eight years old, among our neighbors there were so many Armenian brothers and sisters. Armenian people, subhaanAllah, they are so filled with dhu 'l-himmah, high efforts, aspirations. Aspirin? They are so serious ones to do what they have intended to do. In their dunya work they were first class for making so many arts and crafts, and never running to be an officer in government. They like to work with their hands and to eat fruits of their efforts. And their neighborhood also was a good one, and excellent one nearby. I was living in my house in Nicosia, "Nicosia arwahdan" is the name of that area. They have a church and sometimes, because they are so good believers in their religion, we are not going to discuss with them. They are happy with their religion, with their beliefs and they may do, and no one can claim that if person is keeping really their belief's aspects to be a bad one, no.
They can't be a fanatic person or they can't be a bad person or they can't be an oppressor or they can't be a killer, murderer. Sometimes they are making every social practicing, social works in their churches. And one of them was a wedding ceremony. And they are coming from church and each one carrying a candle. Only one, who was carrying candle that awakened, lightening. Whom their candle just extinguished, they are coming quickly from that one whom his candle enlightened, coming and taking. Look. You must take from everything some benefit for yourself. Yes, they are taking and going on. One candle was enough to awaken 1,000 candles. Yes? And it was not getting less by giving that light to others; it was the same. And heavenly ones that have been sent with heavenly lights are coming to give Mankind heavenly lights to make them enlightened!
O People! If they are asking for lights, they should find it in enlightened people, not in doctors, specialists or academicians; they are not granted those heavenly lights! Heavenly lights may be in one old person, a weak person. But he may give a light from his heart to extinguished hearts. Therefore, all people are always objecting on prophets, saying, "These people are shepherds!” People of so many nations are saying, "Who is that one saying, 'We are coming from heavenly levels, and come and listen to us.' Who are they?" They are always looking from outlooking. But heavenly levels are not for our physical beings. And the biggest mistake is that people are not believing that someone can be enlightened from heavens, and they are refusing.
Our Salafi `ulamas, they know so many hadiths, and what we are saying now in in a holy hadith (Qudsee):
رب اشعث اغبر لو اقسم على الله لأبره
rubba ash`ath aghbara law aqsama `ala allahi la-abbarah.
There may be a disheveled, dusty person who, if he swears an oath by Allah, Allah will fulfill it. (Muslim)
What is the real words, they know well. But now people, they have mareez, ill. What is illness? Illness, physical illness you can treat, but what belongs to our egoistic illness you can't bring a treatment easily. You can find such a treatment through an unknown person or you may find through a thrown-away person, through his heart. Allah, Allah. Allah, Allah. subhana alladhee awdah sirrihi bayna `ibaadihi haythu huwa yakhtaar. “Glory be to the One who puts His secret between His servants as He chooses.” Allah Almighty may give such a speciality without looking at your outlooking (appearance), but people now are looking at only outlooking, not inside. And insaan, Man, is honored through his real being that is veiled.
O People! Therefore we are saying now, people are never taking care for servants of Allah (swt)! Allah Almighty, through His Divinely Wisdom, is keeping or hiding treasures through a destroyed place, whose out-looking (appearance) is in ruins. But you can find in that one what you can't find with uniforms or such a beautiful appearance, no. You can find treasures through ruins. Therefore, prophets came and they were never using their outlooking with such a magnificence, no! I am sorry to say that chiefs of Christianity are using so special, valuable, expensive uniforms and putting on their heads so many things. Why? Which prophet used it? From whom they are taking that inspiration? From where they are (taking this practice)? Therefore I am sometimes addressing to Salafi `ulamas, because they are taking so much care for their dressings to be seen by people, so when people look at them, they are thinking that person just coming from heavens and heavenly books just ordering them to use such a uniforms!
One of most popular stories among Mankind is of Nasruddin Hoja. Once he was invited for a wedding feast. He went there, and he was dressing in the market. They put him at the end of table.
He said, "Just a moment, I am going and coming. Please keep my place."
"Yes, you may do."
He went to dress in his (robes) for holy ceremonies, festivals. And when he is coming, he is dressing so beautiful dress. When waiters looking, carrying him and making him to sit at the first seat, where no one is dressing in such a beautiful costumes. And saying to him, "O please our guest, please (sit) and eat." He was making like this (rolling up sleeves) and saying, "Eat! Eat! Eat!"
"What you are doing Hoja Effendi?"
"Nothing, because I came before and you are putting me near the steps. I am dressing in my honorable dress and you are making me like such a big one, and I am the same one. But you are giving a value to what I am dressing. Therefore I am saying, 'You eat! You eat! You eat! (to his robe)!'"
Yes, because people now are looking only to our outlooking. And now our Salafi `ulamas are dressing in best dressings. No one is going to be happy to dress in a common-people dressing. That is an illness coming east and west, through nations, through religions, and through religious people. It is not true, it is not true, but people are giving care only to their outlooking and they are never interested to do for their hearts. Those people are dressing in such magnificent dressings, uniforms, thinking that people should give so much respect to them, when they should be giving respect to heavenly ones!!

"O Jesus Christ, peace be upon you, where are you sitting?"
“O Shaykh Nazim, ask my nation where I am sitting. To whom you may ask? You may ask bishops, popes, you may ask patriarchies where am I sitting."
"O Jesus Christ, I am seeing a history of outlooking, and your followers are claiming, making you dressing only one piece of cloth and saying you are going up to your Lord. You haven't such a clothes to go up to your Lord, only one piece of clothes?"
That is logic? How that can be? And (they claim) the Lord is accepting him naked and saying to him, "Sit at My right hand?" How can it be true? I am asking from my Christian brothers. And Pope Benedict is asking to visit this humble place in the Mediterranean Sea, and just reaching to me so many stories that he may come for a visit that one who is every night addressing to people. But he is not yet giving his last decision to come for a visiting to an old one here. And I am saying, he and I are servants of the Lord. And I am inviting His Holiness through east and west. Pope, he may hear this, and he is welcome. We are welcoming everyone, only Shaytan I am not welcoming! No! But from Mankind everyone may come, I am welcoming. Even if I have enough possibility to make welcoming for him, I can do. Because I am a zero person, but he has an honor. I am a poor one, an old one, but I like coming to His Holiness' heart to visit, he is welcome. Even I will come out of my house and welcome, saluting him. He must not be in doubt that one, “What is his deal with me?” No, we are respecting, we are respecting. Salafi `ulamas, what you are saying?
Hadith an-Nabi: (Mawlana Shaykh stands.)
إذا أتاكم كريم قوم فأكرموه
Idha aataakum kareema qawm fakrimoohu.
Give a warm welcome to heads of tribes.
(Mawlana Shaykh sits). Give your respects to a person that is honored and respected in his nation; that is an order. If he is coming, I am giving honor and respect for his honor in his nation. We are not making him down, no; that is not good manners in Islam. Who came, we must give our respect. I was thinking to try and write a letter for inviting His Holiness, but holy ones are telling me no need; you may give an inviting from east to west and I may be very happy to invite and to honor him. He is welcome. This broadcast may reach to His Holiness, he must not be fearful from anyone, and he may come, even in spite of the Christian ones on this island, if they are not asking. But I am a zero person; if he is giving an honor to me for coming, Allah (swt) grants to him what He is wanting to grant.
All Christian world, all Catholic world may hear and understand that we are on the steps of prophets. Welcome! If he is not coming, he is responsible. Yes, I have also, for giving a tray. Jesus Christ, just he had been granted a tray and on it was twelve kinds of foods. I may find olives, bread, fish, not chicken, but twelve kinds of Allah Almighty's lutuf, grants, to offer to His Holiness. Welcome to you!!
And also, our Salafi `ulamas, if they are asking to come, welcome. If jalalatu maalik, the king of Arabia, is not so proud, he may come here and I may do my best for him also. If Dalai Lama, no need, every day he is eating such a things. American President Obama, if he is asking to come, I may make istiqbaal, welcoming. If he is asking to come, if he should be so mutawaad`a, humble, he may come! I am happy for welcoming, (and will serve) twelve or more kinds of fruits and foods. He may, his Excellency, President Obama, or Her Majesty the Queen, if asking to come, welcome! We (in Cyprus) were once upon a time her grandfather's citizens. If Her Majesty is asking to come, welcome!
Sometimes I am an easy one and sometimes I am very difficult one, because my heart hangs to heavens; I am not speaking on behalf of my ego, no. Welcome, welcome to Her Majesty also.

Only our Turkish government people never like to come! If they are coming, I am welcoming them also, particularly generals. If they are coming, I am taking all generals out and closing all judgments, finishing. And Her Majesty teaching us to say “Hip Hip!! Hooray!! Hip Hip!! Hooray!! Hip Hip!! Hooray!!” Sound the cannons, seven talqas! Yes!

Too much? Because, they are saying for my birthday. For Her Majesty's birthday they are drinking whiskey, and for my birthday I am drinking water!
