As-salaamu `alaykum wa rahmatullaahi ta`ala wa barakaatuh. A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani ‘r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem. Alhamdulillahi Rabbi 'l-`Alameen, wa ’s-salaatu wa ’s-salaamu `alaa ashrafi 'l-mursaleena Sayyidina wa Nabiyyina Muhammadin wa `alaa aalihi wa sahbihi ajma`een.

Alhamdulillah we are in the last ten days of Ramadan, inshaa-Allah we complete the fast of holy Ramadan bayna yadayy ar-Rahman, between the Hands of Allah (swt), in Allah’s Qudrah. Imagine yourself an ant: if you ask an ant to move from here to the end, it’s rizq is there. You can see the ant go all the way, then stop, pick something up, because Allah guides the ant to its rizq.

If He guides the ant to its rizq, what about human beings? Awliyaullah say an ant is more sophisticated in technology than us, it has many eyes, many cameras. I read it has 164 eyes and sensors like a bee to locate things from far away. They say a bee can fly like 400 kilometers to find nectar and reach its destiny. Li-anna ‘Llahu `azza wa jall huwa ‘r-Razzaq. All that in the Name, ‘ar-Razzaq,’ yarzuqu man yashaa’u bi ghayri hisaab, He will provide anyone with anything with no account! You can be anything, a janitor, and when inaayatullah, Allah’s Care reaches you, in a moment it can make you a Wali!

The importance is inaayatullah, Allah’s Care. If the `abd cares for Allah (swt), Allah cares for him. That’s why we have to learn how to care for each other. If you look at the ant moving forward until it reaches somewhere, picking something up, carrying it to Allah knows where, to the house of the ant, with all that Allah gave them senses to know who is coming and not coming, who is that one and not that one. The evidence is in this ayah:

قَالَتْ نَمْلَةٌ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّمْلُ ادْخُلُوا مَسَاكِنَكُمْ لَا يَحْطِمَنَّكُمْ سُلَيْمَانُ وَجُنُودُهُ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ

One of the ants said, "O Ants! Enter your homes unless Sulayman and his armies unknowingly trample you." (Surat an-Naml, 27:18)

In deserts there are colonies of millions of different types of ants. How can they hear, how do they speak? We know they speak as Holy Qur’an mentions it. Qaalat namlatun, one ant from among all of them spoke, which means they have adab: one speaks and the rest listen. You cannot have everyone speaking in an association, especially after Friday Jumu`ah where, instead of making istighfaar, people stand at the door of the masjid shouting, selling, talking, doing this and that. They don’t give the importance of Jumu’ah that they just now prayed. This is in every place, even in the sacred places: as soon as people finish the prayer they begin to discuss dunya.

What did the ant say? Who informed her that Sayyidina Sulayman (s) is coming? The ant knew he was approaching. Is the ant female or male? An-naml dharr, and from it came ‘dharrah, meaning the smallest that there can be of a creature, that moves and walks, the smallest one, adh-dharr,’ that smallest animal was able to know Sayyidina Sulayman (a) will pass through its colony with his army. Do they have defensive barricades or spies to know who is coming and going? How did the ant know to address all ants, and how were all of them able to hear her at the same time?

Qaalat namlatun yaa ayyuha 'n-naml, “One ant said, ‘O ants!’” It means one ant is speaking to all the ants and all of them are listening. Udkhuloo masaakinakum, “Enter your homes, run to safety!” If an ant is looking for safety, what about us? We must also run to safety, but we aren't. Safety is when Allah is happy with us, to reach His Happiness on Judgement Day! Safety for dunya is also necessary, but to achieve safety in Akhirah is even more important. Safety in dunya means you will live in a decent life, but a worshipper builds safety in Akhirah.

That ant knew Sayyidina Sulayman (a) was coming with his army and before he would crush the ants, she asked them to move away quickly from this way, la-yahtimannakum Sulaymaanu wa junooduhoo, “before Sayyidina Sulayman and his army crushes you!” We have to run away from any issue that might disturb us, run for something eternal because it has no end, it is open. Dunya has an end, it will stop one day. What are we going to do on that day, you, me and everyone? Allah (swt) said, as Prophet (s) mentioned:

لو كانت الدنيا تعدل عند الله جناح بعوضة ما سقى كافراً منها شربة ماء

If the value of this dunya weighed the wing of a mosquito, Allah would never give a cup of water for the unbelievers to drink.

To Allah, this dunya, with all its entertainment and fancy life, doesn't weigh as much as the wing of a mosquito. He created Creation without looking, He looked at Prophet (s) only. The one being addressed is Sayyidina Muhammad (s). He created Creation from Adam (a), Khalaq al-khalq min `adamin faa `adamahu, He created Creation from nothing: between the two letters Kaf and Noon the Creation came out. Then He sent them back to `adm, non-existence. ‘Time of approaching’ means He created Creation in the same moment that has been stretched millions of years, which is only a moment for Allah (swt), between Kaf and Nun He created Creation and in the same time He ended Creation and He will judge them in that moment of Heavenly Time. We know for us it is 7000 years from time of Adam (a) and scientists say that it is millions and billions of years for this universe. Allah knows best but that shows `Azhamatullah, the immense greatness of Allah: that He created these universes for millions and billions of years.

One day Sayyidina Jibreel (a) was asked by Sayyidina Khidr (a) about Adam (a), “Since when did Allah create Sayyidina Adam?” He said, “Which Adam are you speaking about?” Is there any other Adam than us? Of course, there are other Creations than us. Allah is The Creator, al-Khaliq, it means in every moment He is creating, non-stop. If we say He stops it means something wrong there, we cannot say that. Creation is continuous: He creates you, thumma `adamak, then He ends you. The moment between Kaf and Noon is the time that we are living in, a moment that has been stretched by Allah.

A day to your Lord is like a thousand of the years you count. (Surat al-Hajj, 22:47)

“One day to Allah is like a thousand years, ” and in another verse:

تَعْرُجُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ إِلَيْهِ فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ

The angels and the soul ascend to Him in a day the length of which is fifty thousand years. (Surat al-Ma’arij, 70:4)

They say the ruh, soul, is an angel, but it takes 50,000 years to reach Heaven. One day is 50,000 years and Allah can make one day into billions of years and all of that in the limits of Creation, `abd, not more. That moment will come and as soon as it connects, when Allah says, “Kun,” it connects Kaf and Noon, a rose came out, which means a Creation came out, Adam (a).

When Khidr (a) asked, Jibreel (a) said, “Which Adam?”

“Are there any other Adams, yaa Jibreel?”

“Of course, Allah has many awaadim, Adams.”

If we say that Allah has only one Adam, that is placing a limitation on His magnificent power to create. There is no limitation to Allah’s Knowledge: Allah is continuously creating, you cannot stop Allah's Creation. On Earth there is a Creation, but it has an end. In the universes there are Creations, they will have an end.

They say you cannot live on the Moon, it is too cold. When they want to transplant a heart or kidney, where do they put them? In ice, freezing, -20 or -30. To restore those organs, transplant them and make operations on other people’s organs, they give them that heart or kidney from ice. How was it living?

There might be creatures on the Moon, but you are not seeing them; might be under purple light, ultraviolet light, that you cannot see but the bees can. That’s why they to eat they follow their destiny, Allah directs them through ultraviolet light. There might be something on Mars or the Moon that we cannot see. Here on Earth we cannot see any Jinn; Allah gave them the power to see us, but didn’t give us power to see them except some.

Here if they ask us , “Can you see anything?” we say, “No, we cannot see,” but some can see. Prophet (s) used to speak with them, Sayyidina Sulayman (a) used to speak to them. Since Sayyidina Sulayman (a) can see them, since prophets can see them, it means they are existing. There might be creatures existing on the Moon. On the Sun there might be creatures that Allah created that can accommodate the Sun’s fire, the explosions and chain reactions. They say it is 50 million degrees Centigrade at the center of the Sun and still it doesn’t shatter: it is in its place since the moment Allah created it. So could there be creatures there? Maybe.

Where do they store your blood? In a centrifuge, to produce a very high level of heat to separate everything and check your blood sample. So after centrifuging under high heat, how are molecules, viruses, bacteria they found in you able to live and move. How can they see them? They are able to live, they are moving, are they not? So can’t Allah create creatures on the Sun that are moving? We are not seeing, because we are limited!

First of all, the teaching of our `ulama must be love of Prophet (s), but also the Greatness of Allah (swt), `Azhamat al-Khaaliq. These should be the topics for `ulama to teach their students: the Greatness of Allah and the Greatness of Prophet (s). All this, and we come back to the ant, the smallest animal. You cannot see it, sometimes you see something moving very small, but very strong with its specialities. She was able to understand that Sayyidina Sulayman (a) was coming and she knew it was Prophet Sulayman (a) and she said to the ants in one voice and all of them listened. And how did they hear her, with headsets, wireless? With heavenly technology.

Allah is giving an example in the smallest ant:

إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَسْتَحْيِي أَن يَضْرِبَ مَثَلاً مَّا بَعُوضَةً فَمَا فَوْقَها

Allah disdains not to use the similitude of things, lowest as well as highest. (Surat al-Baqarah, 2:26)

Allah does not feel ashamed or shy to give examples, even in a small animal. That example is for us: the ant can see us as giants and we can see the ant as a midget, but in the eyes of the art it is a giant and we are the midgets! Tahqeeraan li l-`ibaad, not to belittle the servants of Allah, but one ant was able to speak and all the ants were able to listen and carry out that order! The Prophet (s) came from Israa’ and Mi`raaj to carry out the order Allah gave him there until the Day of Judgment. We have to execute that order, which is itaa`atullah wa itaa`at rusoolih, to obey Allah and to obey His Prophet (s).

Obey Allah, obey the Prophet, and obey those in authority among you. (Surat an-Nisaa, 4:59)

Astaghfirullah, people don't believe in our rizq coming from Allah ar-Razzaq, we run to find our rizq! But Allah (swt) will bring it to you like He brought it to Sayyida Maryam (a), in her room! What kind of rizq? There are two different explanations, like maraj al-bahrayni yaltaqiyyaan, spiritual and physical food, two oceans, a physical and a spiritual ocean. The spiritual you cannot see, the physical you can see. Like the atom, you have the mass and the electrons: the mass you can see and the electrons are circumambulating the mass (nucleus), in complete tawaaf. Even the smallest atom can make tawaaf in itself. We must do tawaaf every time Allah provides us to go to Mecca and to visit Prophet (s). Mass and electrons make up the atom. Maqaam al-Islam and Maqaam al-Ihsaan and in between Maqaam al-Imaan, make one atom of Heavenly Message to every human being, planted in the heart to execute in dunya. That means you have to follow the order, if not you jeopardize what Allah has given you.

One day, Sayyidina `Abdul Khaliq al-Ghujdawani (q), one of the great saints[1], was given a heavenly order to go to Merv, Bukhara, near Samarqand and in the mountains[2]. He felt an inspiration in his heart, Tawajjaha nahwa ‘l-jabal, “Go towards the mountain.” This story shows Azhaamatullah, Allah’s Greatness! When He gives, He gives bi doon hisaab, without account. He gives to Awliyaullah without account. As-sulha lamha, “To make peace is a glance of a moment,” when you are in a good mood, in a glance of a moment you make peace with everyone. So Awliyaullah made sulh, peace with Allah `Azza wa jall by obeying His orders, as Prophet (s) mentioned to them. So he was ordered to go to that mountain and when he reached a certain level, inspiration came, “With your stick, hit the stone.”

It is Sunnah to carry a cane, with which he hit the stone. Immediately the stone exploded and water gushed out like a waterfall. In a vision, he heard a voice tell him, “Yaa `Abdul Khaliq, from every drop of that water Allah is creating an angel until the Day of Judgement. With the knowledge I gave you, `allama adaama ‘l-asmaa’a kullahaa, ‘And He taught Adam all the names,’[3] I am opening for you that secret of names. I want you to assign a name to every angel that emerges from this water and laa yukarrar marratayn, it cannot be repeated, each name must be unique until the Day of Judgement. I am creating all these angels for Ummat an-Nabi (s), for everyone, and their tasbih will be divided among the entire Ummah of Prophet (s), so everyone will have a tasbih of a certain angel written for him continuously until the Day of Judgement! This is why I am appointing you to lead Khatm al-Khawajagan[4]. Such an Ummah I have created for the honor of Prophet (s) and I am dressing all of them like I am dressing you, from the Sirr al-Wilayah, but they will not get it in dunya, they will get it in their graves.”

You were the best of Nations evolved for Mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong and believing in Allah. (Surat Aali-`Imraan, 3:110)

Sayyidina `Abdul Khaliq al-Ghujdawani (q) trembled! He said, “Yaa Rabbee, help me.” Allah granted him 124,000 Wali that are following, as they say under every Wali there are many more connected to the main Wali like a pyramid. For every Tariqah, Allah assigned one Wali to help the main leader of that Tariqah. The Naqshbandiyya is coming from Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (r) and Sayyidina `Ali (r), merging in Sayyidina Ja`far as-Sadiq (r).

May Allah keep us under their wings, under their arms, to be with Prophet (s)!

Wa min Allahi 't-tawfeeq, wa s-salaamu `alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh.

May Allah bless all of you wherever you are and give you a happy life and a happy Ramadan. Wa ‘s-salaamu `alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh.

[1] Even Ibn Taymiyya accepted that kind of sainthood, he even mentioned many miracles of Awliya in his Fatawa al-Kubra about Fanaa, spiritual annihilation. There is a story about Maqaam al-Fanaa, that every Wali is running for.

[2] Until today the sign is there and the door of Ka`bah is at the mazaar of Sayyidina `Abdul Khaliq al-Ghujdawani (q); that also has a story.

[3] Surat al-Baqara, 2:31.

[4] The dhikrullah recited here and around the world by Naqshbandis and other Tariqahs.
