(Translated from Arabic)

Salaam `alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh! Tonight up to Fajr inshaa-Allah we continue. Staying up to Fajr is for the People of Great Determination. As for the common people, they are allowed to sleep and the blessings go to all. Bless the Prophet (s) (salawaat).

Tonight's gathering is for love of the Chosen One (s) and for the presence of the Governor of Madina and for the presence of al-Habib `Abda ‘l-Qadir as-Saqqaf and the presence of many other Habibs and mashaykh, and for the presence of you lovers of the Prophet (s).

Don’t forget that the rain is mercy! What did one of the great walis do during dhikr? I will tell you a story of one of the great saints who used to do dhikr under the rain, Khawaja `Abdu ‘l-Khaaliq al-Ghujdawani (q), one of the great saints who took from Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (r) and from Sayyidina `Ali (r), and so he is the Combiner of the Two Oceans. From Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (r) and from Sayyidina `Ali (r) he was combining the two oceans of knowledge of these two Sahaabah (r). He was from Merv (Central Asia). His wird was 470,000 times “Allah, Allah” and 10,000 “laa ilaaha illa-Llah” and 24,000 salawat `ala an-Nabi (s).

He used to make dhikr under the rain as rain is mercy, and the kaafir jinn cannot stay under rain as it will burn (shaytans), so in order to prevent the presence of evil jinn, he did dhikr under the rain. Jinn are from fire, so water (rain) puts out fire. And now we have the rain and Shaytan is not here! This is a blessed gathering. For every drop of rain there is an angel who glorifies Allah up to Judgment Day and that is all written to you! So good tidings to you lovers of the Prophet (s)! The rain puts out the fire. So rain is mercy that will pour on us until it puts out the fire of Hell for us. Good tidings to you, Brundun (Bahasa word), ameen yaa Rabbi ‘l-`Alameen! If that wali did not find rain, he used to go down into a well under the water and make dhikr, then came up to get air, then went back down to make dhikr...every day and those shaytans are unable to enter the water as if they enter they will they will burn.

So with that power, Allah ordered to him and a Divine Voice came to his heart, “Yaa `Abdu ‘l-Khaaliq! Go to a place far away and you will find a huge stone and turn your gaze to that stone and from it will pour forth water from that stone. And you are responsible before Me, as I will create for each drop of that fountain of water one angel up to Judgment Day, and you are obliged to give a name to each of those angels and no one name of any angel can be the same as any other angel, you must not repeat any name a second time.”

And each angel, his tasbeeh is written to one of the servants of Allah of Ummat an-Nabi (s) and all this is due to the blessing of dhikrullah! Allah (swt) said:

Behold! In the creation of Heaven and Earth, and in the alternation of night and day, there are indeed signs for men of understanding, those who remember Allah (always, and in prayers) standing, sitting and lying down on their sides, and contemplating the creation of the Heavens and the Earth, (saying), "Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without purpose! Glory to You! Give us salvation from the torment of the Fire.” (Surat Aali `Imraan, 3:191-192)

“Those who remember Allah standing, sitting and lying down and ponder on the creation of Heavens and Earth,” that knowledge will be given to them, knowledge of what is in the creation of Heavens and Earth!

And the Prophet (s) said:

إِذَا مَرَرْتُمْ بِرِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ فَارْتَعُوا ‏"‏قَالَ وَمَا رِيَاضُ الْجَنَّةِ قَالَ ‏"‏ حِلَقُ الذِّكْرِ

Ibn `Umar reported that the Prophet (s) said, “When you pass by the gardens of Paradise, avail yourselves of them." The Companions asked, "What are the gardens of Paradise, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "The circles of dhikr. There are roaming angels of Allah who go about looking for the circles of dhikr and when they find them they surround them closely." (Tirmidhi)

And this is one of the circles of dhikr, where we are praising the Prophet (s) and remembering Allah (swt)! Shaykh, you here are praying on the Prophet (s) for one hour or two with Habib Shaykh and then it ends and you stop praying on the Prophet (s), but from every salaat `ala an-nabi (a), Allah creates an angel that will praise Allah up to Judgment Day and that blessings will be written for you and for every gathering of dhikr up to Judgment Day, and angels don't get tired!

Today is a day of `Eid, for praying on the Prophet (s). For that reason, Habib Shaykh came dressed in his best clothes and all of you came with the finest clothes you have, and what is more beautiful than what you have? Allah (swt) said:

يَا بَنِي آدَمَ خُذُواْ زِينَتَكُمْ عِندَ كُلِّ مَسْجِدٍَ

Yaa Banee Adama khudhoo zeenatakum `inda kulli masjid.

O Children of Adam! Wear your beautiful apparel at every time and place of prayer. (Surat al-A'raf, 7:31)

“Wear your best apparel to every mosque,” and this is a masjid now, so wear the best to the masjid in order that the masjid will be blessed and dressed with ornaments. And what is the ‘Decoration of Paradises’? He (swt) decorated them with the praise and greeting of the Prophet (s) and you are here making salawat on the Prophet (s)!

Pay attention to what Allah said in Holy Qur'an, “Wear your best ornaments to every mosque.” And who is the greatest Ornament of the Creation? Who has decorated everything, even Paradise with his Ascensions? It is the Chosen One (s) who decorated the Paradises with his presence and his going to Maqaam Qaaba Qawsayni aw Adnaa! (…)

With whom did Sayyidina Adam (a) make Intercession after he had eaten from the Forbidden Tree? Then he went into sajda and asked forgiveness ‘for sake of Muhammad (s),’ and Allah asked, “From where did you know the name ‘Muhammad,?” and he (a) said, “I saw his holy name written on every part of Paradise!”

And Allah (swt) said to the Pen, "Write!" and the Pen asked, “What should I write?" and Allah said, "Write ‘laa ilaaha illa-Llah’" and the Pen wrote ‘laa ilaaha illa-Llah’ for 70,000 years, then it stopped. And Allah said to the Pen, "Write!" and the Pen asked, “What should I write?” and Allah ordered it, “Write ‘Muhammad rasoolullah’" and the Pen asked, "Who is Muhammad that you put His Name with Your Name?" and Allah replied, "Muhammad is the one for whose sake I created everything!"

And Allah ordered the angels to pray on the Prophet (s) when He said:

إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا

Inna-Llaaha wa malaa'ikatahu yusalloona `ala 'n-nabiyy, yaa ayyuha ’Lladheena aamanoo salloo `alayhi wa sallimoo tasleema.

Verily, Allah and His angels send praise on the Prophet. O Believers! Pray upon him and greet him him with a worthy salutation. (Surat al-Ahzaab, 33:56)

Let us return to the previous verse: Allah said, “Wear your best ornaments to every mosque.” It means that take ghusl and pray two raka`ats and then make salawaat on the Prophet (s) and take that salawaat with you to the masjid in order to complete it in the masjid. And there are many other meanings: one of the meanings of ‘wear your best ornaments to every mosque’ is to make your murshid your companion and your guide to the Prophet (s); take him with you to the masjid. Also, to make the Prophet (s) in your heart, always looking and hearing you and he is the sincere, pure-hearted, devoted servant of Allah.

Don’t forget to gather in circles of dhikrullah in masjids or in homes or in fields like this, and this rain is pouring down for love to the Prophet (s) and coming down on us! O Allah! Forgive us for the sake of Your Beloved Chosen One, Sayyidina Muhammad (s).

Salaam `alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh. May this year be full of goodness for you….
