India and Pakistan

Sultan al-Awliya

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani

3 January 2011 Lefke, Cyprus

(...) Pakistan people play cricket. They never play football, what is the reason? One first-class, clever one is saying, “Because, anywhere that Pakistan people find a corner, they open a shop; therefore, they never play football!” (Laughter)

(...) They are learning from the Indian empire and their English is good, but their pronunciation is so bad! (Laughter) You think they are speaking Urdu! They are not using, “No,” (rather they say,) “Yes sir.” The first teaching for children is that if anyone calls you, you must always say, “Yes sir. Yes sir. Thank you, sir.” Therefore, England is accepting Hindustan people because they are just taught to say, “Yes sir. Yes sir.” Arabs are difficult, but they (Hindustan people) are easy, “Yes sir.”

Pakistan people think that they are the most clever ones and they also have Quaid-e-Azam. Why are they coming and standing at the door? “It is for honoring our first president, it is a salute,” and I am saying, no! They fear that maybe that Quaid-e-Azam may ask to get out and they are preventing him, keeping him inside, “Don’t come outside!” (...)

I don’t there like to be Pakistan and Hindustan (separate), no! Hindustan is from the old times, it is a Muslim territory, so many kings and maharajahs were there. Don’t forget this, no. It is not for non-Muslims, no, it is for Muslims! Kashmir, mashmir, all of this should be for you also. May Allah forgive us.
