Baseless Theories Create Unbelief

We are saying, A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani 'r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem.

Prophet (s) said, al-waqtu naqtun, “Time is a valuable jewel.” That is from the Prophets’ knowledge oceans, because they have been granted so many jewels, valuable minerals they are keeping for Mankind, for their nations. It is free and anyone asking may take it freely, not paying anything; however, if you do not appreciate that valuable jewel it will go to waste.

All prophets (a) brought jewels, but we are losing such treasures that help us and will be forever for us; we are neglecting it.

(Mawlana Shaykh speaks about a specific guest.) Now our honorable guest came from far distances to visit a person whom he thinks is a very important person, and we are saying, “Welcome.” He thinks, “That person has so many jewels, I may visit for an occasion and perhaps I may hear from him.” He thinks I have a mountain of jewels! What did Prophet (s) say?

`Umar b. al-Khattab narrated that the Prophet (s) said: innamaa al-`amaalu bi ’n-niyyaat wa innamaa li-kulli imrin maa nawaa. faman kaanat hijratuhu ila’Llahi wa rasoolihi fa-hijratuhu ila’Llahi wa rasoolihi wa man kaanaat hijratahu li-dunya yusbeebuhaa aw’imraatin yankihuhaa fa-hijratuhu ila maa haajara ilayh.

“Deeds are [a result] only of the intentions [of the actor], and an individual is [rewarded] only according to that which he intends. Therefore, whosoever has emigrated for the sake of Allah and His messenger, then his emigration was for Allah and His messenger. Whosoever emigrated for the sake of worldly gain, or a woman [whom he desires] to marry, then his emigration is for the sake of that which [moved him] to emigrate.”

(Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim; the first hadith in Imam Nawawi’s Forty Hadith.)

Our guest’s intention is to reach a mountain of precious stones, or he thinks that he is coming to a treasure; that is his intention and the Lord of Heavens will never leave him when he is asking Him and intending for a visit. What he intends to reach the Lord of Heavens grants; therefore, he must find some jewels asAllah Almighty never leaves that one empty-handed. Our guest always has this intention and he has an honorable rank. He remembers that so many times he came here and found some precious jewels. Therefore, every time he visited us and returned to his honored home and honored family, he was happy.

Now he is visiting again and perhaps he is thinking, “I may reach a new heap of jewels!” Therefore, we are welcoming Sayyid, from the line of the Holy Prophet (s), and we are trying to give our high respect also, for the honor of the Seal of Prophets (s).

That is a preface, and I am a weak servant, but it may be that Allah Almighty is giving some precious stone to our honorable guest because of his intention. He is not thinking to come and make a picnic here, but he is really asking to know something, to find some jewels.
