[Partial transcript]

Allah (swt) tests His mukhlis, sincere servant. That's why we say:

ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِى هَدَىٰنَا لِهَٰذَا

Alhamdulillahi' Lladhi hadaanaa li-haadha,

All praise is due to God, who has guided us unto this. (Surat al-A`raf,7:43)

We are thanking Allah (swt) that He has guided us to the Right Path. What do you do when Allah tests you or Allah sends difficulty, hardship in your way? Shaytan comes right away and starts to tell you different things in your ear, whispering all kinds of doubtful, bad thoughts about Allah (swt), Rasulullah (s), and Awliyaullah. He keeps putting all these thoughts in your head because you don't know exactly what to do.

A hardship came your way, what do you do? Shaytan starts to tell you, "Allah (swt) is punishing you. All your life you were good, but look what He is doing to you!"

Do you say, "Ah, forget it. I'm not going to be good anymore, what's the point?"

Shaytan comes in your heart, tells you to leave the worship of Allah (swt), the love of Allah (swt), the company of Allah (swt), leave listening to Allah's (swt) Words. He also puts doubt in your heart about the Messenger, about Rasulullah (s), and about the deen, religion.

Allah (swt) is looking at you, that's why He sends difficulty, because if you are made of gold, you will just get purer with fire. But if you are made of tin, you will melt and go away. So Allah (swt) is testing. He will send balaa, difficulty, hardship.
