You Must Be Ready When Your Lord Calls You ~Shaykh Hisham Kabbani ~21 July 2016 Fenton Zawiya, Michigan ~ ~ ~ ~ ~A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytaani 'r-rajeem. Bismillaahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem. Alhamdulillahi Rabbi 'l-`Alameen, wa ’s-salaatu wa ’s-salaamu `alaa ashrafi 'l-mursaleena Sayyidina wa Nabiyyina Muhammadin wa `alaa aalihi wa sahbihi ajma`een. ~????????? ??????? ?????????? ??????? ?????????????? ~"Remind people because by reminding believers, people get benefit.” (Surat Az-Zariyat, 51:55) ~ ~ ~Remind people, refresh their memory because refreshing or reminding is important in our life. We have to be ready. At any moment they call you, you have to do your job. What is your job? It is to go to where the voice is coming from. Someone who wants to meet with a president or a king, for example, is kept alert, waiting to receive a call. So what will he do? That person will be alert, ready to answer because they want to get some information from him. That is why they make the appointment, to discuss. ~ ~ ~So everyone has to be ready, in his dunya and in his Akhirah. To be ready is to make sure that you are dressed completely, not only for dunya; you have to wear clothes, but to dress for Akhirah is more subtle, you have to dress with the manifestations that Allah (swt) has prepared for everyone. By being dressed with that, Allah gave you a chance to develop this readiness. ~ ~ ~Like a mother is ready when she gets pregnant: there is a cycle in her body for nine months and ten or twelve days, then the baby is ready to come out. So Allah gave us a chance to come innocent and clean to the womb of the mother, then to be delivered, in order to prepare that baby to become a man or a woman and do whatever makes him ready to be called at any moment in his life. That is why He gave you to live for hundred years, and this one ten years. He gave everyone different lifespans in order that you get ready; if you use it you will be ready to answer when they call you. That is why Sayyidina Bayazid al-Bistami (q) said, “I respect the young one because he has less sins than me, and I respect the elder because he has more `ibaadah, worship.” ~ ~ ~During the life Allah gave you in dunya, you have to prepare yourself for when they call you, which is Yawm ad-Deen, Day of Judgement. Everyone has a yawm, day, in dunya when he will be called. Check yourself now! The baby in the womb of the mother is ready to come, the mother is counting the days, one, two, three, nine months and she is ready, preparing for the delivery, for happiness in her life. What about Akhirah? Allah gave us life of hundred years, seventy years, twenty years; whatever life Allah gave you is enough to prepare you if you use it the right way. If He gave you fifty years and He gave me seventy, although fifty years is less, it is a compact package, it is enough for you to get ready to be called and Allah assigned everyone what he is to see and to answer. ~ ~ ~Are we ready? [No.] We are not ready. That is what is important, to audit yourself daily, to ask, “Am I ready or not?” If not, you have to do what will make you ready. You come to pray and you wait for the adhaan and at that moment you are ready to enter prayer. Similarly, Allah gave you an age to get ready to answer the call when it comes; if you are ready you will be in happiness. ~ ~ ~So that moment of death is Yawm ad-Deen for you. Everyone has a day in his life when he will go to the Voice that will call. You will not listen to anyone other that that Voice; you will follow that noor, light, until you reach and your soul is taken. If the Hoor al-Ayn or the most beautiful man or woman of dunya comes to you, you will not look at them at all, as if they do not exist as the pleasure of dunya will be gone completely and your sole focus will be to reach that Voice! ~ ~ ~Are we ready? If that Voice comes and asks us, what are we going to answer? “I cheated, I deceived, I did something wrong.” Allah is Arhamu ‘r-Rahimeen! He will not ask you about what you did to punish you, but Allah (swt) is Merciful: ~ ~ ~??????????? ???????? ????? ?????? ??????????????? ?????????? ?????????? ??????????? ??????????? ??????????? ??? ??????????? ??????????? ~My Mercy embraces all things; therefore, I grant it to those who ward off (evil) and pay the poor due, and those who believe Our Revelations. (Surat al-A`raaf, 7:156) ~ ~ ~His Mercy encompasses everything, He will bring you your good `amal, He does not look at the dirty `amal. With the shafa`ah, Intercession of Prophet (s), He will bring up your good `amal. The bad `amal is dirty by itself, leave it alone. Your good `amal appear in that moment, which is why He said: ~ ~ ~???? ??? ????????? ????????? ?????????? ????? ??????????? ??? ?????????? ??? ????????? ??????? ????? ??????? ???????? ?????????? ???????? ??????? ???? ?????????? ?????????? ~Say, "O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah, for Allah forgives all sins for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Surat az-Zumar, 39:53) ~ ~ ~Yes, we are not ready, but we are not losing hope in Allah's mercy, which means that if we don’t lose hope, that mercy will make us ready! May Allah (swt) make us ready! This is an introduction on how we are going to prepare ourselves, to be ready. ~ ~ ~Wa min Allahi ‘t-tawfeeq bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~http://sufilive.com/You-have-to-be-Ready-When-Your-Lord-Calls-You-6243.html ~© Copyright 2017 by Sufilive.
