A`udhu billah min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem

Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem

Nawaytu'l-arba`een, nawaytu'l-`itikaaf, nawaytu'l-khalwah, nawaytu'l-riyaada, nawaytu's-salook, nawaytu'l-`uzlah lillahi ta`ala fee hadha'l-masjid  

Anyone going to hear this from Grandshaykh lectures, notes, you have to go always to the previous association in order to connect them. You cannot come now and say, “I heard something [strange].” You have to go back to what was said before because this is a series that connects with each other. You have to be careful because if you hear one separately it might not give the correct meaning.

So a little bit we say what we said before - that Allah swt saying to Muhammad (s), “I created creation and I forgave them.” Because Allah swt, as awliyaullah say, there is no time. We did time, we invented time in order to understand and according to our understanding. Allah gave us the right configuration of time: He gave us the moon to give us the month; He gave us the earth, turning around its axle, to give us the day and the night; and He gave us the moon to give us the month. He gave us the sun, with the earth, with the moon, to give us the year.

So Holy Qur'an described that:

تَعْرُجُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ إِلَيْهِ فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ

inna i`ddata ash-shuhu `inda—allah ithna `ashar shahra.

The angels and the spirit ascend unto him in a Day the measure whereof is fifty thousand years. [Al-Ma'arij 70:4]

Quran came to correct back what had been changed. When he created creation he created 12 months, but later through many different times they tried to make the months to make it 13 or 15 months during the year. Do you know why they tried to do that? In order to coincide with the solar months. In order to make Ramadan in the same time, in order to make Rajab in same time, in order … to have in same time. But Allah wants them to move to check our patience. That is called an-nasi, changing the time of the months in order to make it 13 months to make the month come in the time they like. In any case this is another subject. But in any case Allah gave us earth to show us day and night the moon to show us the month the sun to give us the year.

The months are counted on the lunar system, Ramadan, Rabi`al-Awwal, Safar and so on. Are counted on the moon. What is counted on the sun from the five pillars? [hajj] no. hajj is on the moon. But prayers according to the sun. Why are prayers according to the sun and fasting and hajj according to the lunar system that is something question mark?

Why is that on the sun and that is on the moon. We will see next time.

So Allah swt created for us time and showed us how to calculate time but for Him everything is one. Fee `ilmillah la yujid azman.

One time in the Holy Qur'an Allah said:

وَإِنَّ يَوْمًا عِندَ رَبِّكَ كَأَلْفِ سَنَةٍ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ

Verily a Day in the sight of thy Lord is like a thousand years of your reckoning.  [22:47]

One day to Allah swt is like 1000 years and in another verse khamsoon alf sannah. The angels and the ruh ascend to Allah in a day which is 50,000 years. From 1000 to 50K. Allah can stretch whatever he likes.

One day here equals 1000 years one day there equals 50,000 year. Might be one year is 1 million year. Might be the whole life is in one day [kafir say we stayed only one day]

When we die, except for prophets and awliyaullah, the whole body disappears and goes. Allah to show us his Mercy brings us back. That soil that Allah turned to soil, Allah brings it back to meat, flesh, bones and blood in order to bring it back. And when Israfil blows in the trumpet, everyone coming up from where their graves were. Is that correct? [yessir]

All holy books, the Holy Qur'an and Torah and Bible say that there is a resurrection day when Allah brings everyone back. When Israfeel blows in the trumpet souls go back. Israfil cannot blow in the trumpet without Allah giving him back his soul back to him and he send it back to human beings. so what do you think when Allah says, to Allah we belong and to him we return, when we go back we go back in the ocean of power and with nafas al-ilahi, the Lordly breath, that He blows, he gives to Israfil and Israfil blows back to human beings. That holy breath what do you think that is? Is it pure or dirty? That means everyone comes back pure. That means when Allah gives that Lordly breath when Israfil will blow in the trumpet with Allah’s permission that Lordly breath after we went back to our origin, he blows us back in our new bodies that had already been eaten by worms and earth and you had been completely annihilated in the earth, as the earth is in complete submission to Allah then it is pure.

So when you want to make wudu what do you do? You make tayyamum. That means dirt will clean you. According to many madhahib, and according to Islmaic tradition, if you touch a dog you have to wash hands six times with water and one time with dirt, in order to be clean. Or completely with dirt to clean your hands. What does dirt make? It cleans you. So why go back to grave? To be clean. To annihilate. That is why they say awliyaullah are like earth. They carry everyone. Earth carries everyone inside. It annihilates human beings. If that person is good he doesn’t need to be annihilated but his grave will be a piece of Paradise because he already annihilated himself in dunya. So what happened to him in grave? It goes back to dirt - his body goes back to earth and his grave is clean. The one who is not good in dunya in his grave is in punishment and he will be annihilated. So in both cases they are gone. So one will be clean because he already annihilated himself in dunya, and the earth doesn’t bother him, and the other one it will bother him, what he goes through in the grave, and then he will be annihilated in order to be clean. Than Allah sends the soul back to the body after it has been with its Lord.

So when you are pure and come back on day of resurrection clean…?

You have to go back to the previous lectures in order to understand these lectures, this is continuation.

So when you are clean what will happen?  Where is the sin?

That is why awliyaullah their teachings,… Because they say that only Prophet is the one  ordered to be basheeran wa nadheeran. He is the only one, that as a prophet,  Prophets have the authority to give good tidings and to warn people. Awliyuallah and people they have no right to warn people. They only have right to give good tidings- to make people happy. Allah didn’t make you a messenger, didn’t make you a prophet. So look at your own problems. So look at people and give good tidings. That is why the Prophet (s) prohibited backbiting, namima, rumors and ghiba.

Then when Israfil blows in the trumpet from the breath that Allah gave to him, dhaalika an-nafas at-tahir -  that breath is pure. Is there any dirtiness in it? He is asking a question. Impossible. If Allah gave that nafas al-ilahi  to blow, is there any filthiness in it? No. then there is no dirt or filth in it.

That means “O Muhammad, I am forgiving your Ummah. Before they were born.” That doesn’t mean you have to go and do bad things. No Allah is showing us His love and mercy so now you have to do more to show back to Him that you are thanking Him. Not to leave the prayers and say, “I am forgiven.” That is to encourage us to do more.

He said, "I forgave your Ummah before I created them. When My Will came to create creation I forgave them. Because I knew they would not do the right thing. O Muhammad, your Ummah will never get tired of making sins and I never get tired of changing their sins to hasanaat.” Does Allah get tired? No.

That is on top of forgiveness. When you are making sins, on top of that forgiveness, He gives you hasanaat because you made these sins. He is changing your sins to hasanaat. When you get forgiveness your get into Paradise and when your sins get turned into hasanaat you get the seventh level of Paradise, with the Prophet (s). That is why the Prophet (s) said, "My Ummah is ummatun marhooma. Allah sent His Mercy on my nation. Forgiven Ummah.”

Grandshaykh is saying that Allah is saying, “O Muhammad! My judgment is finished, before I created them I put My judgment on them. O Muhammad, Ya Muhammad, law ya`rifu `ibadee law ya`rifoon ummataka madha u`amilo lahum ma kuntu qad wajadtu ahadan minhum ya`budanee -  O Muhammad! if I let your Ummah know what I am going to give them and how I am going to raise them, I would not have found any of them worshipping Me!” This is Grandshaykh.

“No one will worship Me, no one will make sajda for Me.”

Grandshaykh said, "All these secrets I am taking from heart of the Prophet (s). The Prophet didn’t open these secrets before. He opened these secrets in the last two, three, four decades, 50 years ago to hearts of awliyaullah.”

He said, “I am pulling these secrets for the heart of the Prophet (s).” He said, "these secrets I am taking from heart of the Prophet (s) and addressing to you are above the knowledge of awliyaullah and this knowledge is above the knowledge of the four imams and even it is above the knowledge of all imams that came before, except for the knowledge of Imam Mahdi , this knowledge is above that and it is from his heart also, I am taking. All knowledge that Allah opened to humanity, until the last century [50 years ago], is from Sayyidina Jibreel and below.”

He said, "from Sayyidina Jibreel and above was not opened.”

It was opened in that Sha`ban of that year in which Mawlana was giving that lecture. Sha`ban 1391. Now we are 1429. Around 40 years ago. He said, "From that Sha`ban Allah opened that secret, that secret coming down.”

What do you think then about now, 40 years. It is not 40 years yet, it is 2 years from now. In 2 years there will be big change in the understanding of awliyaullah. As in 40 days of seclusion, then things change so after 40 years, again things change.

It means Mawlana Shaykh Nazim was 46 years and Grandshaykh was above 80 years old.

He said, "what I am speaking to you is from level of Jibreel and above; no one has been before that able to take anything from there.  Now it has been opened and awliyaullah can take from there. Now if ibn `Arabi were to take from that level, then what he wrote before will become like a drop in the ocean of what he were to write it today.”

He said, "They say that Allah will be seen in Paradise; that believers will see Allah in Paradise.” He said, "This is far that Allah will enter Paradise. Allah doesn’t enter something that He created. How is Allah going to ‘enter’ creation?! When Allah sent the manifestation of one of His Beautiful Names and Attributes to the mountain, when Musa asked to see Allah, what happened? The mountain shattered into pieces. If Allah will manifest with his Beautiful Names and Attributes on Paradise the whole Paradise will shatter to pieces.”

So what will Allah send. He said, "If people like you going on the journey and following the highest level of tariqah and following the highest level of tariqah when you die you will enter the maqam al-fana. Only awliyaullah can enter in that in dunya. So every wali is very well known and they know each other. But for those common people who are following the azeemat ash-shariah and azeemat at-tariqah, when we die Allah will open for us the maqam al-fana, the station of annihilation. So when we pass to akhira, we will not pass to Azraeel, but a white hand will appear in which Allah’s Name is written and immediately the soul will jump to that hand. Then Allah will dress you with the Beautiful Names and Attributes and then you will be sent to Paradise. And when others see you in Paradise they think it is Allah but in reality it is not.”

So those who have been dressed with these Beautiful Names and Attributes, Allah doesn’t give them Paradise. Paradise is for common people. When common people see these ones in Paradise they believe they are seeing Allah. These people, Allah will give  them maqa`di sidq, these are paradises that are 50,000 times stronger and better than the Paradise that is given to common people. There you take pleasure 50,000 times more than those who are in common Paradise. See the level of those who are common and those are the azeemat of praying and fasting. Their level is 50,000 times stronger.

They will be dressed from these paradises that are 50,000 times stronger than the common Paradise, when they are dressed with the 50,000 times pleasure they are in reality being manifested from Allah’s Beautiful Names and Attributes and they are becoming 50,000 times stronger in every moment. And to the common people, it is as if Allah is appearing to them more and more and more strongly, and they are being ascended. But in realty the common ones are not ascending but the ones ascending are the ones who are in the maqam of maq`ad sidq, and they are taking them with them.

O students of Mawlana and Grandshaykh. May Allah show us these blessings and mercy.



[You say common people and you are talking about Jannat al-muhammadiyyoon.]             

No, there it is different, for those who are observing the Shariah and tariqah and ma`rifah. So he is speaking about his own students whom he passed to Mawlana Shaykh Nazim. He is expressing what Allah gave to them in a very small way and he is only giving drops from an ocean. So those people along with those mureeds some of other shaykhs as well.

Azeema here means one who is trying to and struggling to do azeemat ash-shariah and azeemat at-tariqah. There are levels in that also. Those who struggle more, consider Grandshaykh and Mawlana as those who struggled the most. Their level might be 50,000 and their level might be 30,000. But still he will bring you with him in that paradise.

The others are the common people. They have nothing to do with tariqah even.

[common level is those who say, "I am Muslim” but don’t observe the practice.]

That is different levels also. Those for example who don’t pray have to pray on the lid of Hellfire unless they are forgiven. And as Grandshaykh said, " they are forgiven.” But you cannot take it for granted and say, "O I am forgiven.” No - when you are forgiven you have to do extra. Don’t sit and say, "O Allah is going to destroy for me Fira`un.” When Allah said to Musa , “tomorrow I am going to destroy Fira`un.” And he told Fira`un, “tomorrow I am going to destroy you.” Finished. And Fira`un knows that Sayyidina Musa is a prophet. So people believe they are Muslim but out of arrogance they don’t pray. They don't want to cover, wear like they are naked, but they are very strong on belief. They argue with you even about Islam. So Fira`un went all night saying, "O Allah I believe in you, but my people are stupid, so I have to say like that. So don’t let Musa to win on me.”

So Allah let  him to stay 40 years.

What happened that he was finally destroyed.?

Grandshaykh said, "when he eats with people he used to eat the crumbs. He didn’t throw the food.” Today we even throw away food in bags.

So that one he ate from the garbage and even got sick against his ego. Not like this one.

And one day Iblees came to him and said, "how do you say you are God and you pick up crumbs. That is the work of slaves. You must show them ‘step on the crumbs!’” So he stepped on the crumbs. With that Allah destroyed Fira`un.

How much we throw on the floor? What Grandshaykh is saying is to show the greatness of the mercy of Allah. He cannot control his heart from giving out these fountains of knowledge that are coming to him in every moment. But in reality in his life he never left one prayer, the Sunnah and the fard. He did the highest level of Shariah and of tariqah. But he wants to give us good tidings in order to encourage us to do more.

But in reality if Allah wants to judge us according to what we have done, then we are in hellfire. But Allah will judge us with his mercy.

وَلَوْ يُؤَاخِذُ اللَّهُ النَّاسَ بِمَا كَسَبُوا مَا تَرَكَ عَلَى ظَهْرِهَا مِن دَابَّةٍ وَلَكِن يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ إِلَى أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى فَإِذَا جَاء أَجَلُهُمْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ بِعِبَادِهِ بَصِيرًا

Wa law yuakhidhullahu ’n-naasa bima kasaboo ma taraka `ala dhaahriha min daabbatin wa laakin yuakhkhiruhum ila ajalin musamman faidha jaa ajaluhum fa-inna Allaha kaana bi`ibadihi baseera.

If Allah were to punish men according to what they deserve. He would not leave on the back of the (earth) a single living creature: but He gives them respite for a stated Term: when their Term expires, verily Allah has in His sight all His Servants. 35:45


So Allah showed Sayyidina Musa a lesson. Don’t say you are a messenger of Allah. Prophet was in hardship all the time. Relaxing in the way of Allah in praising the Prophet (s). he was carrying difficulty.

So the verse says. Wa la’in shakartum la-azeedaanakum. Is that thinking only by alhamdulillah. No, it means to do something for Allah more. Like this one dong nothing. Taking all newspapers and reading instead of taking Qur’an and writing what comes to his heart from inspirations. That is a test for you.

Go buy vegetables with that money you are wasting. Give to poor people. And this one, comes 12 o’clock, goes 4 o’clock, where are you with his wife.

Be like this one in Indonesia, running in Indonesia. From place to place. Even when I come I don’t see him. Before he was running away in the wilderness. Now he comes. Be a hard worker.
