Dastoor yaa Sayyidee. (Mawlana Shaykh stands.)
Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Subhaan Allah!
Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Allah Allah, Sultaan Allah!
Subhaansen, Sultaansen. Zid habeebika Sayyidina Muhammad (s)`izzan wa sharafan nooran wa surooran sultaanan wa ridwaana wa man tabi`ahu bi ihsanin ila yawm id-deen. (Mawlana Shaykh sits.)
Thumma salaamu `alayk yaa Sahib az-Zamaan yaa man huwa mansoorun for everything through Mankind. As-salaamu `alayka yaa Qutbu ‘l-Mutasarrif. As-salaamu `alaykum yaa RijaalAllah. As-salaamu `alaykum, yaa `ibaadullah.
Salute on you, our attenders.Today is dunya and tomorrow will be akhirah. No one from Mankind can be fearless. If they are going to be heedless, forgetting death and after death, they will be drunk ones. Who is awakened, will be fearful because no one knows after one minute what will happen. Yes.
As-salaamu `alaykum our attenders. Listen and hear! Hear and listen! And all of us should try to obey and to be all obedient ones. Who is going to be obedient will find satisfaction. And we are saying, a`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani 'r-rajeem. O people, don't be cheated by Shaytan and don't give a way for Shaytan to come and to cheat you. Run after true ones; don't run after Shaytan and its agents. As-salaamu `alaykum yaa `ulama ahlu ‘l-Islam from Azhar `ulamas or other `ulamas in the Islamic world, particularly those `ulamas who are claiming, "We are Salaaf us-Saalih." They are saying, "We are following the ways of Salaaf us-Saalih," which is a big claim, and all that their egos are asking greatness to come on them, yes. If they are saying this, it is a claim. They mean to say, "We are something," or, "We are some ones," meaning that their level is different than others and learned peoples' levels.
O people and O `ulamas who are claiming they are learned ones, yes, from Muslim world or non-Muslim world or learned people from the Old Testament and New Testament and Psalms. They are trying to give a level for themselves without taking any ishaarah, without taking some authority from heavens. It is much more for understanding, they are thinking that they have authority from heavens to say this. No, no! To give something to your being, that one being is a material and a physical being, and you have another being that is a spiritual being. Always, our physical being is asking something that they may touch, and they may reach it. Therefore, when a person is claiming, "I am something," that one is speaking on behalf of their ego's physical being. Their egoistic desires belong to the material world and to their physical being.
Man now living on Earth from the beginning up to today are always running after their egoistic beings, and their material beings represent their egos. And the ego is representative of Shaytan in everyone. Therefore, our egos are asking that we may reach something, even a little bit. Occupied something, this as a fuse, just cut. Laa hawla wa laa quwatta illa billahi 'l-`Aliyyu 'l-`Azheem. That ego is just representing Shaytan in us. And the ego is related to Shaytan and ego and our rides are always asking something from material demands, never getting to be happy if nothing is appearing on himself.
Therefore, soow al-adab, the worst manners from our egos is asking something for itself. They are never going to be happy with something that they can't touch. They like to see or to hear or to do something from material aspects. Therefore, people are running quickly for what? To reach something that may be seen, may be heard, maybe said and may be understood. That was Shaytan's bad manners and that is the reason everyone is running to reach something from material aspects for their egos.
O `ulamas! You are saying, "We are Salaafi `ulamas, on the ways of Salaaf us-Salih," which means you are also from those people. But no one is taking a manshoor, none of you have reached a heavenly declaration and authority to say, "I am this one or that one." That claiming is going to be stamped from heavens. All of them are just trying to reach aspects to see, hear, and touch.
O Salaafi `ulamas! O Muslim learned people, and all those ones who have been granted holy books! You are seeing, you are claiming so many things that your prophets never said. We are speaking to the Muslim world and their `ulamas. Do you think, O `ulamas of the Muslim world, as some of you are saying, "We are followers of Salaaf us-Saalih." That means, "We are also from their representatives." Some of them are saying, "We are belonging, our knowledge is from Azhari 'sh-Shareef." Some of them may say, "We have a diploma of Shariat ul-Islam from Sorbonne or from Berlin or from Oxford or from Toronto or from Paris." Why are you saying this? Do you think that what you are seeing, or what you are claiming is giving you honor? That means that you are asking for something that you can touch, and that is never going to be inheritance, from Prophet (s)!
O Saudi `ulamas who are saying, "We are followers of Salaaf us-Saalih!" You are saying, "We are the real Salaaf us-Saalih," but no one genuinely from Salaaf us-Saalih is claiming, "We are on the ways of Salaaf ul-Saalih." Look, listen, and try to understand prophet's teachings, particularly the teachings of the Seal of Prophets, Sayyidina Muhammad (s)! (Mawlana Shaykh stands.) I standing because they are asking. The Seal of Prophets, Sayyidina Muhammad (s) said, akrimu kareema qawm, “Be hospitable, generous with a nation’s hospitable leaders.” You must give respect to that one whom Allah (swt) has honored in his nation, in his tribe, in his community. (Mawlana Shaykh sits.) The Seal of Prophets (s) was teaching all people.
They are making this weak servant to speak on some points that cause ummat ul-Habeeb to lose their haybat, glory, because they are not following what the Seal of Prophets was saying, teaching
اجلس كما يجلس العبد وآكل كما ياكل العبيد
Ajlisu kamaa yajlisu'l-`abd wa aakul kamaa yaakul al-`abd.
I sit like the servant sits, and I eat like the servant eats.
What do you think, O learned people? Do you think that the Seal of Prophets (s) was madah, praising himself? Where are such people saying, "I am a weak servant." And I am doing as the Seal of Prophets (s) was saying, الدين النصيحة ad-deenu naseehah, “Religion is advice.” I am speaking as the Seal of Prophets (s) was ordering and giving advice, not to say when I am speaking, "I am going to be something." That is enough for learned people not to say, "I am a doctor," or, "I have graduated from Sorbonne," or, "I am a follower of Salaaf us-Saalih." No, it is enough to say, "We are servants," who is working for people or helping people. Khaadim, servant, as the Seal of Prophets (s) taught his nation, "You must try and be like a servant."
Therefore, our speech is never going beyond our ears, just finishing in its place. I may ask our Christian brothers and their top-level religious people if they heard from Jesus Christ (a) to appoint cardinals, popes, bishops, or to bestow titles? Jesus Christ, peace be upon him, had twelve disciples. Did he say to one of them, "You are cardinal, you are bishop, you are patriarch, you are pope." No, he did not! Say from the nation of Jesus Christ, peace be upon him. And I may ask Israeli people and their holy people, did Sayyidina Musa (a) say, "You are a rabbi, you are up, you are down." They have so many steps to show themselves more and more to people. Religion is not to show people, "I am this one, I am that one." jihad ma`a an-nafsu, "Those preoccupied with the self," who are with their egos, everything they speak or write is smelling with egoism. The Lord of Heavens is saying that the ego is the worst one that has been created. It is always against heavenly orders.
O People! Don't make religion a show! A show is only satisfying and enjoying and giving pleasure to our egos. Leave that and you will be a servant. If not, Allah Almighty is never accepting your imitated titles, imitated claims, yes.
Now people are on the worst way because everyone is asking to be someone in their community. They are never accepting to be a smooth field. They are always asking to be high mountains. High mountains are only carrying snow. Smooth valleys are going to be green and are giving benefit to people. All battles, all fightings all troubles are after that egoistic desires. If anyone is saying, "I am a weak servant," how are you not saying that if Allah Almighty is saying, (Mawlana Shaykh stands.) jalla jallaluh, وَخُلِقَ الإِنسَانُ ضَعِيفًا Wa khuliq al-insaanu da`eefah, “For Man was created weak.” (an-Nisaa 4:28) Sadaq Allah ul-Adheem. Is it true? (Mawlana Shaykh sits.) What does it mean, Salaaf us-Saalih `ulamas, and doctors in the east and west? Sadaq Allahu l-`Azheem or not, when He is declaring to His servants, Wa khuliq al-insaanu da`eefah? We are weak ones, if there is no heavenly support, no one can step one step.
You must know that our movements on Earth, are they from our physical powers? Don't believe it. Don't think that what you are eating, one cup or two cups of food makes you able to know, to do, to see. This is also dark jahaala, ignorance. Everyone, even when I am making my hand like this (moves arm), don’t think that what I am eating is giving this power to my muscles to take move them, no. Every moment must be from heavenly powers reaching. We cannot speak if we are not related to heavenly powers. People think, "We are living, we are moving, we are able to do this through material foods that are making us in such a a way." No, Man's ability is not from their eating or from material causes, no. Man's ability is from heavenly power! I cannot move this up (raises arm) without heavenly power here. And how we are claiming we are something?
May Allah (swt) forgive us, for the honor of that most honored one in the Divine Presence, Sayyidina Muhammad (s)! (Mawlana Shaykh stands and sits.) And we are trying to break down our ego's idols. That is the biggest ibtilaa, curse, to say, "I am doing, I am moving, I am running, I am thinking." No! When that power is taken from you, you will only be a shape, then you are going to be dust.
May Allah (swt) give us an understanding. This, if we can understand, we may give our respect to everyone and we will be running after peace. If not, trouble will be never-ending, fighting will be never-ending, crises never-ending, and whole troubles are never-ending, finished! That is the reason now our planet, dunya, is running into hells. Everywhere you are finding troubles, and no peace. For peace to come, you must understand your real beings and you must put everything in its original state, then heavenly peace is landing and this dunya is going in peace, or people are going to be slaves of Shaytan, in never-ending trouble. Tawbah yaa Rabbee. Tawbah yaa Rabbee.
Fatihah.
(Mawlana Shaykh prays two raka`ats shukr.)
