Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: Tornado! I am fearing it will completely engulf them and toss them in the air, including everything inside it. There is no safety! This is new information coming to me. I am a zero person, but when I’m distressed or irritated, there it is. Do you think awliyas are there in vain? Tornadoes! I am fearing. Today is the 3 Jumada al-Akhir, and in these past few months, particularly beginning in America, tornadoes hit various places around the world, which was never seen before.
Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem. Now even if we say there must be khayr in these events, those living on Earth have such dirty lives that it incites Divine Anger. On the face of the Earth, there no longer remains a person who lives a clean life; they know neither halaal nor haraam. That is why (punishment) is coming from above like a whip. Allah Almighty destroyed the People of `Ad with a tornado. How much did He open of punishment? There was an angel overseeing those tornadoes, and he sent the wind of punishment through a single point as small as a needle’s eye. How much can pass through a needle’s eye? From the place of the treasure of storms, the angel who is responsible opened a hole only as small as a needle’s eye over the Nation of `Ad. The People of `Ad were big, and tall like minarets, but it carried them up from below, then slammed them to the ground!
It is a must to fear Allah. Amaan, yaa Rabbee, what punishment this is! Now the time we are living in is such that from amongst all people living on Earth, these are the most sinful, violating Allah’s commands and living their lives as sinners.. They have become worse than the People of `Ad, the People of Lut, and the People of Thamood! We seek refuge in Allah! Blatancy (in committing sin) has reached an extreme. Therefore, the tornadoes occurring now in various places are not a good sign. There are reports, “Two-hundred people missing.” If He Almighty sends one tornado, it is enough to pull them up like a forceful pump and toss them at random, because shamelessness has reached its limit and is unprecedented; past nations did not do all this. Therefore, the news of tornadoes is dangerous and frightening.
There was also a recent tornado in New Zealand. Allah Almighty is showing us, saying, “We are not blind! We see all that happens on Earth, and for sure We will discipline you. Build yourselves up (in obedience) or, if not, in an instant I will blow away this whole world!”
This is the case and this is very important. Even here in our tiny island of Cyprus, how many tornadoes were there this year? A tornado took them along with their animals, all destroyed. This carries a deep meaning: you are not worshipping and on top of that you are listening to Shaytan’s every word, you are not following any of your Creator’s commands.” Therefore, He Almighty is saying, “I will discipline you!” This has nothing to do with the “economical crisis;” that is something which remains as a zero on the left side. Having houses and people wiped out is not something that can be defined as an economical crisis.
As dunya is running toward its Final Hour, many different things will manifest. We seek refuge in Allah.

أَمْ أَمِنتُم مَّن فِي السَّمَاء أَن يُرْسِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ حَاصِبًا فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ كَيْفَ نَذِيرِ
Am amintum man fee ‘s-samai an yursila `aalaykum haasiban fasata`alamoona kayfa nadheer.
Or do you feel secure that He Who is in Heaven will not send against you a violent tornado (with showers of stones) so that you will know how (terrible) was My warning? (Al-Mulk, 67:17)
Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: What He Almighty is referring to by “haasiban” is something that comes from the skies. This is haasib `alaykum, coming from above.
فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُّبِينٍ
fasata`alamoona man huwa fee dalaalin mubeen
And in time you will come to know which of us was lost in manifest error. (Al-Mulk, 67:29)
You will soon come to know who is on the Right Path and who is swerving from it. He will pick and choose whom He doesn’t want to punish and Earth will hold them tight. The rest will be like autumn leaves; He will take and throw them like leaves. You must fear Allah! Tawbah, yaa Rabbee! Finished! He will sweep them away. HafazhanAllah. I am also fearing.
May Allah protect us from falling into the hands of our bad egos and keep us away from following Shaytan. He who follows his own egoistic desires will not be in good shape. Prophet (s) said, “If you see people following their desires, then look for Judgment Day.” (Hadith Qudsi).
Everyone is in their own ways; no two people have minds aligned on the same point. Everyone is attacking each other like hungry wolves.
