May Allah (swt) accept you among Awliyaullah, inshaa-Allah. Ameen. Why not? May Allah (swt) accept us all with Awliyaullah, in between them, among them, around them. Inshaa-Allah, we can always be here and here after.
A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytaani 'r-rajeem. Bismillaahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem.

As-salaamu `alaykum wa rahmatullaahi ta`ala wa barakaatuh.
Mashaa-Allah, again we have a lot of people from different places. We have Maryland here, we have Bolingbrook, Chicago here, we have Montreal and we have the locals. May Allah (swt) increase their love to Mawlana. May Allah (swt) increase our love to Mawlana, our love to Awliyaullah.
We are a group of people out in the forest, not too much into what happens around us. We have another thing to do. We have our own ways, our own things to do and I can explain what it is, inshaa-Allah. What do people of tariqah, mureeds, do? As we said, tariqah is the `azeemah of Shari`ah. Tariqah is not outside of Shari`ah. We always said that you have to start with Shari`ah first. You have to do what Allah (swt) ordered you to do and you have to leave what Allah (swt) ordered you to leave. There is no question about that. The minute you don’t do that, you have gone out of the way of Rasoolullah (s) and taken the way of Shaytan. You have to know that.
If you do what Allah (swt) forbade you to do, you are not obeying Allah (swt), you’re obeying somebody else. Who is that somebody else? Shaytan. Shaytan tells you, “Don’t obey Allah (swt). Don’t obey Rasoolullah (s).” The minute you do something that Allah (swt) did not order you to do, you have taken khutuwaati ‘sh-Shaytan, the footsteps of Shaytan. Shaytan did not obey what Allah (swt) ordered. Did he? He did not obey. The one who does not obey the Orders of the Lord of Heavens, does not avoid the forbiddens, he has taken the footsteps of Shaytan. Allah (swt) said, asta`eedhubillah, wa la tattabi’u khutuwaati ‘sh-Shaytan. Don’t follow the footsteps of Shaytan.
O ye who believe! Enter into Islam whole-heartedly; and follow not the footsteps of the evil one; for he is to you an avowed enemy. (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:208)
Shaytan is a disobedient servant. In tariqah first you have to make sure you always do what Allah (swt) ordered you to do and stay away from what He forbade you to do. Once you master that, that is the way of Rasoolullah (s). That is the way of Awliyaullah. That is the way of Anbiyaullah. There is no other way. Follow what the Lord of Heavens ordered. Once you’ve mastered that then you start going deeper into the meanings.
One of the things that came to my heart--I say “heart” but my mind. People say, “It came to my heart.” Where is the heart? This thing that goes, “Dub, dub, dub, dub”? What comes inside of it? Blood. You’re not supposed to drink the blood. What comes inside of it is not supposed to be taken because it’s dirty. Blood is dirty. It pumps it up to the lungs to clean it. What comes to one part of the heart is dirty.
Asta`eedhubillah. I think it’s in Surah Ma’idah, verse four.
Forbidden to you (for food) are: dead meat, blood, the flesh of swine, and that on which has been invoked the name of other than Allah. that which has been killed by strangling, or by a violent blow, or by a headlong fall, or by being gored to death; that which has been (partly) eaten by a wild animal; unless you are able to slaughter it (in due form); that which is sacrificed on stone (altars); (forbidden) also is the division (of meat) by raffling with arrows: that is impiety. This day have those who reject faith given up all hope of your religion: yet fear them not but fear Me. This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. But if any is forced by hunger, with no inclination to transgression, Allah is indeed Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful. (Surat al-Ma’idah, 5:3)
It was made forbidden, haraam, for you. Don’t go there. What? Al-maytatu, the dead flesh, the dead carcass. It has no life again, finished. That is made haram for you, and the blood and the flesh of swine. We stay away from dead animals, blood and pork. That is the outside of Shari`ah but it has an inner meaning too. That’s what tariqah teaches.
Hurrimat `alaykumu ‘l-mayta. What is dead? Awliyaullah have said the dunya is dead. So many times our teacher has said, ad-dunya jeefa, dunya is a dead carcass. Dunya has no life after this. It’s going to finish. Dunya will come to an end. What happens after dunya? Akhirah. Dunya is going to die. Allah (swt) is telling you, “O mu’min, the one that has gone deeper into the meaning of Allah (swt)’s Word. Dunya is haraam for you. It is dead. It’s going to die. You have to leave that.”
Mu’mins, the ones who have believed in Allah (swt) and followed the path of Rasoolullah (s) and the path of Awliyaullah, believe that this dunya is nonsense. It does not weigh the wing of a mosquito. That is the Hadith. It has no weight in the eyes of Allah (swt). The wing of a mosquito is better, not even the whole mosquito. Ba`ooda in Arabic means “mosquito.” Ba`ad in Arabic means “some.” It is a little bug. Dunya is not even worth the wing of that bug. For us dunya is haram.
“Ad-damm wa lahmu ‘l-khinzeer” has other meanings. I won’t go there but Allah (swt) continues the verse: famani ‘dt-turra, the one that has to. Because we have to secure our food. You have to secure your home. You have to secure your clothes, otherwise you cannot pray, you cannot worship, you cannot cover yourself, you cannot be in a home. You have to secure that stuff.
Allah (swt) says, famani ‘dt-turrah, the one that has to go into dunya and get his rizq. Ghayra baaghin wa laa `aadin, not being unjust to others and not taking more than what he needs, fa laa ithma `alayh, there is no sin for him. Allah (swt) has allowed the mu’min, the Muslim to delve into dunya as much as he needs from it, not more by not committing injustice to others while seeking your share from dunya. You are not unjust, bhaagin. It’s from bhaagi, unjust. Mu’mins are allowed to go into dunya to take what they need but without being unjust to others and ‘aadin, without taking more than you need.
Mashaa-Allah, now they hoard. On the highways all you see are storage units. They have no more room in their homes, especially in Chicago. When I used to live in Chicago, I heard so many stories. No more room in the garage. The whole house is full. They filled up the garage. There are no cars in there, just stuff. When there’s no more room, what do they do? They get a storage unit to hoard. They are taking more than what they need. That is not allowed for those who have gone deeper into Islam. The ones on the surface, Allah (swt) has promised them thawab. If you do this, you will go to Jannah. No problem. But we are seeking more than Jannah.
We are seeking the Creator of Jannah. Jannah is a creation like you, a beautiful creation of course, very fancy, everybody wants to be there, but it’s still a creation. Do you want to see the beauty of creation or the Beauty of the Creator? If someone has created such a beautiful thing then how Beautiful is He? Artists have good imaginations. They say, “What a piece of work.”
The people who have followed Tariqah have gone deeper into the meanings of the Qur’an. Yes, we don’t eat dead flesh or dead animals but this dunya is also dead. One of the dead entities is this dunya, so we don’t approach it. We take what we need from it, not being unjust to others and not going overboard. Allah (swt) says, fa laa ithma `alayh. In Surah al-Baqarah He (swt) says:
فَمَنِ ٱضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ وَلَا عَادٍ فَلَآ إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
But whoever is forced [by necessity], neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], there is no sin upon him. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful. (Surat Al-Baqara, 2:173)
Allah (swt) says, no sin. You can go. You have to know that you are not into this dunya. Leave it. Take from it what you need to secure your Akhirah and the Creator of Akhirah.
Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (q) told a story. This will explain everything to you. I did not know what was going on. Nobody knew what was going on and, Allahu Akbar, Mawlana shaykh nazim (q) explained everything 20 years ago. When I heard that I said, “SubhaanAllah. I have to share it with others.” I heard it two or three days ago. I usually go on my YouTube feed and click the first suhbah that comes up. If it’s Jon Stewart, I skip it. Sometimes I click Jon Stewart. He makes me laugh. But I click the video of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (q) or whoever is coming.
What did Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (q) say in that suhbah? One time there was a crook who said, “I want to cheat the king of this kingdom. I want to cheat the rulers of this kingdom. How can I cheat them?” Supposedly he was a worse cheater than those living nowadays. He said Shaytan taught him what to do, because Shaytan whispers in your ears and gives you a great idea. He said, “I have a great idea. Get two big barrels. Empty the septic tank into these two big barrels.”
Out here we have septic tanks. In Chicago you are very posh. You have your own things. Here we have septic tanks. He said, “Empty the septic tank into two big barrels and close the mouth of these barrels very tightly. Load them on a horse and on top of the barrels put the best rose oil. Make sure you put so much rose oil that people will smell it from an hour’s distance.” This was Shaytan teaching the crook. Shaytan is a good teacher. He said, “I want to deceive the ruler of this kingdom.”
So this man loads the horse or the donkey with two big barrels of septic tank contents and on top is very nice rose oil. He comes to the entrance of the city and soldiers are waiting there.
They said, “Stop. Where are you coming from?”
“I am coming from this faraway land.”
“What do you have?”
“I am coming with a present for the king. It is a very special present only for the king and I’m here to deliver it. Here, you can sample it.”
He opened the top layer and all of the soldiers smelled it and said, “Oh, what is this?”
He said, “This is the best gift that we can offer the king. It’s rose oil and these barrels are full of it.”
They said, “Wow. This is great. Tell the palace.”
They sent somebody to the palace. “There’s a man with gifts for the king, rose oil that we never smelled before and it’s full to the bottom of the barrel.”
The message came, “Allow him to enter and take the barrels to the warehouse.”
They were taking the barrels and the man said, “I don’t think the warehouse is a good idea because anybody can open them and steal it. This is a special rose oil. It has to go to the treasury.” He opened the top layer again and now the new soldiers said, “Oh yeah, this is perfect. Open way for the man.” They take it to the treasury.
He puts the two barrels down there and says, “This rose oil is still fermenting. It is not ripe yet. Leave it for one week and don’t touch it. At the end of one week, bring them out and then open them with the king, with the cabinet ministers and all the officials. Everybody can enjoy it one week from now.” They said, “Okay.”
The king was happy. He sent a gift to the man and he left. What did he sell them? The content of a septic tank, but they had to wait one week. When the day came and they attended the ceremony, they brought the rose oil outside. The king came out first with his wife, the prince and princess and children next to him and then all the officials and ministers. Everybody was waiting to open those barrels. It was a special day with a ceremony and everything.
Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (q) said the contents of that septic tank, the gas and everything was waiting to explode. The minute they opened it, everything came out on the king, the queen, the prince, the princess, the officials and everybody in their suits and ties and nice make up. The septic tank contents spilled all over them, into their noses, their mouths, their ears, their clothes. The king was trying to clean himself. The queen is saying, “What is this problem that we have gotten into?”
He said, this is the example of the 21st century man. Do you understand? There Is no need to speak more. Whatever is in the barrels will come out. It’s going to spray everybody. It’s not going to spare anyone. On that ceremony day, that dirtiness, that filth, that disgusting stuff spilled over everybody. That’s what’s happening. This is the example of the 21st century man.
I said, “Mashaa-Allah, Sayyidee, very true.” Until this day that story is very true. He said, on the outside they look so nice and glamorous but on the inside they have the characteristics of septic tanks. Once you open it, what’s on the inside is what is found in septic tanks. On the outside it smells very good and looks very good but once they open themselves up, that garbage and disgusting filth is going to spray everybody.
That’s why mureeds, the ones who have taken the path, don’t get involved too much in that stuff. We take what we need from dunya. We do not oppress anybody. We are not unjust to anybody and we don’t go overboard. That’s the best way. That’s what we learned from our masters. Those septic tank contents are going to splash everybody that Day.
May Allah (swt) forgive us. I think it’s enough suhbah. Now you get the idea, you get the picture. May Allah (swt) forgive all of us and protect us from that filth. He says, be with the clean ones. Don’t be with the dirty ones. If you are with the clean ones, you will be clean like them. If you are with dirty ones, whatever is on them is going to come to you. If they have a disease, it’s going to jump to you. Leave the sick ones, those with sick hearts, sick minds and sick understandings. Leave them alone. Be with those who have sound hearts, sound minds and sound understanding. These are the saadiqeen, the truthful ones. Who are the saadiqeen? Awliyaullah. Be with them. Inshaa-Allah, we are with them here and Hereafter.
Wa min Allahi 't-tawfeeq, bi hurmati 'l-habeeb, bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah.
