Kalimataan khafeefataan `ala 'l-lisaan thaqeelataana fi ’l-meezaan, subhaanAllah wa bi-hamdihi subhaanAllah al-`Azheem. Alhamdulillahi Rabbi 'l-`Alameen wa ’s-salaatu wa ’s-salaamu `alaa ashrafi 'l-mursaleena Sayyidina wa Nabiyyina Muhammadin wa `alaa aalihi wa sahbihi ajma`een.
As awliyaullah say, every day is a different tajalli as Allah doesn't repeat, He gives new and what He gave before is for before and in every moment Allah gives a new tajalli, heavenly manifestation! It is not that He has only one tajalli, but in every moment Allah showers different manifestations on His servants. What is the benefit of these manifestations? We don't see them, we cannot see because we are averre, blind, but the tajalli can be felt. If you cannot see it you can feel it and if you cannot feel it you can speak about what you have learned and heard from awliyaullah.
It is simple, like if you buy silver-plated trays or silverware from the flea market that has damage, dented and has scratches, if you dip it in silver it becomes ‘silver-plated’ and we see it as silver. When you do hasanaat, good `amal, Allah (swt) covers your bad `amal. He will dip you in silver oceans and, for example, you become a silver man, clean. Similarly, Allah will dip you in another ocean and you become like that ocean you have been put in, as He manifests on everyone from His Beautiful Names and Attributes. Also, not everyone receives the same tajalli, every person receives a different manifestation in the same moment!
Like you use silverware that has been dipped and becomes silver-plated or gold-plated, in every gathering of dhikrullah there are different situations Allah will dip you in. Allah will not sit with someone that is dirty, where He said to Prophet (s) in a Holy Hadith:
أَنَا جَلِيْسُ مَنْ ذَكَرَنِي
I sit with him who remembers Me. (Hadith Qudsi. Ahmad, Bayhaqi)
Allah does not sit with a dirty person. He dips you in a solution that is even more valuable than silver or gold, platinum, to compensate you for the good you have done. That is why Allah (swt) said in Holy Qur'an:
وَقَالُواْ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا غُفْرَانَكَ رَبَّنَا وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ
And they say, 'We hear, and we obey. (We seek) Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the end of all journeys. (Surat al-Baqara, 2:285)
“Forgive us, O our Lord and to You is the movement!” Grandshaykh (q) said when you recite an ayah of Holy Qur'an, whatever noor is in that verse will be dressed on you! In Shari'ah we study that there are 500 orders, commands we must fulfill, and 800 forbiddens. When you read, “atee`ullah, Obey Allah (Surat an-Nisa, 4:59),” as soon as you read that ayah you will be submerged and diving in the ocean of full ita`aat, obedience, as if you have completely fulfilled that from its beginning to its end! In that moment what Allah is manifesting of obedience from his servants, He will dress you as if you have performed that `amal, and He will assign angels to follow up as if you fulfilled complete ita`aat, all 500 orders, maamooraat, and left behind all 800 manhiyaat, the forbiddens!
Then you are like gold-plated or platinum-plated. [After that level] there is another ocean, so no need to be ‘plated’. When they separate gold from different elements to bring it out, the gold goes to one side and the minerals go to another side in a process that can only be completed by water that cleans the gold. Water cleans everything as Allah made water tahoor, pure. When you take that shower (ghusl) in the morning or evening and pray two raka`ts of ghusl, all the bad manners will be taken away and you will be [figuratively] dressed in 24 carat gold, with full `ibaadah. You can hear it, but there are others who can see it. We cannot see because we are still silver-plated or gold-plated, we are not yet pure silver or pure gold, that will come through this kind of dhikrullah.
To obey Him fi 's-saraa'i wa 'd-darraa, in secrecy, means even when you have pain or difficulties you remember Him, as Allah likes His servant to remember Him! People come and say, “I have this or that problem,” and what can you tell them? “Make du`a.” What Allah sent on all people He sent on the Prophet (s): in spreading the Message of Allah, Prophet (s) saw a lot of offense, especially when he (s) went to Taif and they sent children to throw stones at him. Allah sends problems on everyone, everyone has a problem and you cannot find anyone who does not have a problem. If you are patient on your problems and remember your Lord, then Allah will prepare for you Jannatu `adnin, Paradises. Of Allah's Ninety-nine Beautiful Names and Attributes, what is the last one? It is as-Saboor, The Patient. [Allah is telling us], “O My servant! I am sending on you all kinds of lights because I am patient with everyone.” When you are patient with each other and submit to Allah, your problem will be solved.
I see it happen many times, someone comes to you and says, “My brother (sister, father) has cancer. Will you pray for them?” There are many examples of all kinds of difficulties and you make du`a and ask madad from awliyaullah, from the Prophet (s) and from Allah (swt) and nothing happened, and sometimes you make du`a and that person is cured. Why is it the first one you made du`a for nothing happened and the second one you made du`a for is cured? Because at that moment, if your du`a is clean and pure, when you say, “Yaa Allah!” Allah says, “Yaa `abdee!” at that moment inaayatullah is descending, then any du`a you are making will coincide and intersect with inaayatullah and be accepted! It's like a code: when you miss one number it does not do anything, but when you put the correct numbers the lock or the ATM opens.
With your du`a, Allah's Beautiful Names and Attributes are arranged in a certain way and that is why in Holy Qur'an there are the muaqata`at fee awaa'il as-soowar, letters [at the beginning of surahs] that are codes, such as Alif. Laam. Raa. and Alif. Laam. Meem. or Qaaf. Haa. Yaa, `Ayn. Saad. These are heavenly codes that open the meaning of the ayats you are reading. Also in du`a there are special codes, even when you recite Surat al-Fatihah, and there are different ways of reciting, if that recitation comes from the pure breath of a wali then it coincides with inaayatullah. So the important thing is when the du`a coincides and intersects with inaayatullah, then it is accepted. If there is no inaayatullah, even if you make du`a for 100 years it will never be accepted.
That is why awliyaullah say to their followers be persistent in your du`as, to keep asking and asking and asking. For example, if you need money from someone rich, you go and ask and ask and ask, then at the end he will give it to you. Like a child crying and crying and crying, at the end the mother and father will give. We are like that, like children, so we have to keep asking and asking and asking, If Allah sees you persist in your asking, He will never say no:
ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ
Supplicate to Me and I will give you! (Surat al-Mu’min, 40:60)
“Call on Me and I will respond!” Allah will always respond: He might respond in one way you don’t see. For example, He might make a bigger problem a smaller problem or give you benefit of the du`a in Akhirah. So ita`atullah, obedience to Allah of the 500 orders is an order, but the most important obedience is to keep the prayers, to pray your five daily prayers. Then you will be saved in dunya and in Akhirah. When will you be saved in dunya? When day of death comes you will not be punished at that moment, but Allah will make your grave like part of Paradise!
رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
O our Lord! Give us goodness in this life and goodness in the Next Life, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire. (Surat al-Baqara, 2:201)
Allah gives hasanaat, plural, not one hasanah. May Allah make us obedient to Him and to keep the prayers, because the salaat tanhaa `ani ’l-fahshaa wa ’l-munkar, salaat prevents us from doing something bad like fuhsh, adultery, stealing, all kinds of bad manners are in it. If you see you are not improving, it means you have something wrong in your salaat because Allah said salaat prevents you from falling into the trap of fahshaa and munkar. Then your prayer is far away from you. May Allah keep us on Siraat al-Mustaqeem and obedient to Allah (swt) and to His Prophet (s) and also ooli ‘l-amri minkum, to the leaders among us. How to obey the Prophet (s)? Make salawaat on him (s)! So choose: silver plate, gold plate or platinum, and if you want platinum ask for it, but there even is better than platinum. Yaa Rabb! If you give us platinum, gold and silver [character] in dunya, then in Akhirah give us diamonds, give us jewels! Forgive us, our children, our friends, our communities, our countries, our rulers and our `ulama.
Today we are under the tajalli that is coming of Surat al-`Asr: we are losers! Allah is giving an oath that His servants are losers. He is giving an oath by al-`asr, which is the time of `Asr or the century or the life of the Prophet (s), 63 years. Now we are in the year 1437.
اذا صلحت أمتي فلها يوم واذا فسدت فلها نصف يوم
If my Ummah does good then it will live for a day, and if it does bad then it will live for half a day.
وَإِنَّ يَوْمًا عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ كَأَلْفِ سَنَةٍ مِمَّا تَعُدُّونَ
Verily a day in the sight of Your Lord is 1000 years. (Surat al-Hajj, 22:47)
So if the Ummah is good 1,000 years and if it is bad 500 years.[1] So subtract 1437 from that and you get 63 years, what remains of 1500. So that is why we are seeing so many of the Signs of the Last Days.
Add 1500 [1+5+0+0 = 6] and, as we said many times, that number is so important. Allah created Heavens and Earth, all skies and planets, everything, in 6 days. Also the verses of Holy Qur'an are 6,666 [6+6+6+6 = 24 = 2+4] and that adds up to 6. The suras of Holy Qur'an are 114 [1+1+4] and that adds up to 6. May Allah give us the benefit of the number 6. May Allah bless you and us.
Wa min Allahi ‘t-tawfeeq bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah.
