Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani

2 October 2014 Fenton Zawiya, Michigan

As-salaamu `alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh. Kullu `aamin wa antum bi khayr. Inshaa-Allah Hajj mabroor wa sa`eean mashkoor wa tijaaratun lan taboor, yaa `aalima maa fi ‘s-sudoor, yaa Rabbee al-`izzati wa’l-`azhamati wa’l-jabaroot. Ighfir lanaa w ’arhamnaa bi jaahi habeebika al-Mustafa wa bi jaahi asraari kull man muhibban laka yaa Allah, wa muhibbun li-habeebika al-Mustafa. Al-Habeeb al-Mustafa, al-Habeeb al-Awhad! Yaa Rabbana, yaa Allah, ash-hadu an laa ilaaha illa-Llah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan `abduhu wa Rasooluh.

Salaam `alaykum viewers and lovers of the Naqshbandi Order, and every Muslim and Mu’min around the world. We are a group of Muslims in the West sending salaams to all Muslims in the East, North, South, and to the West also. And we say greetings for `Eid al-Adha, for the holy days, to the Day of Sacrifice, the day of going against your ego for the love of Allah (swt) and his Prophet (s), to step on your ego for the sake of love of Allah and His Prophet (s).

Every one of us is not ma`soom (infallible) except Prophet Muhammad (s)! All of us we make mistakes, sins; we are not protected except by the shafa`a of Prophet (s). We are asking Allah (swt) to dress us from the tajalli, manifestation of this day which began on the Hijaaz time, which is (over there) 4 o’clock in the morning, near Fajr time, where everyone is rushing toward Arafat to stand there and to be ready there, because Allah (swt) descends to the First Heaven, granting His servants who are saying:

لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ، لَبَّيْكَ لاَ شَرِيْكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْكَ، إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ وَالنِّعْمَةَ لَكَ وَالْمُلْكَ لاَشَرِيْكَ لَكَ

Labbayk Allahuma labbayk! Labbayk laa shareeka laka labbayk!

Here I am at Your Service, O Allah! Here I am at Your Service! Here I am Allah at Your Service, and You have no partner! Here I am at Your Service! Yours is (all) praise and favor and dominion! You have no partner!

He (s) is dressing them with the secrets of that tasbeeh, the praises that we just mentioned. Awliyaullah are gathered there every year, they go there by order, physically and spiritually, some physically, some spiritually, through their spiritual channels, through their hearts, because the heart can reach anywhere faster than the intelligence, faster than the brain. The brain has a very high speed of movement, more than the speed of light, which is 300,000 km per second. The speed of the heart to reach anywhere is faster than the speed of the light. We hope that Allah (swt) forgives us for the barakah of this day, where 3 million this year have officially been mentioned, but in reality it might be 5 or 6 million because it is Hajj al-Akbar, when Arafat is on a Friday.

So all these hajjis, why are they there, to do what ? For only one thing: all wearing white, men mostly, and women. White signifies the purity of the heart. All of them with pure hearts are asking Allah (swt), praising Him and glorifying Him, asking Him to forgive them. It means to forgive every one of us, inshaa-Allah. We say, “O Allah! Prophet (s) was the real `abd, we are only imitational `abd. He is the real one, he is the real muwwahid, the real one who did `ibaadah and still he is doing `ibaadah! We are asking you, yaa Rabbee, to share with us his prayers, with his fasting, with his Hajj, nawaafil and his obligations, with all the prayers that he prays to You and praises You, and with every kind of du`a that he asked of You and requested from You, share us with him yaa Rabbee, yaa Allah, share us with all prophets, with all awliya, share us with every person who stood on Arafat and observed that day from Sayyidina Adam (a) until the Day of Judgment and dress us from their Realities, from the rahmah that You have put on them!

My Mercy encompasses everything. That (mercy) I shall ordain for those who do right and practice regular charity and those who believe in Our Signs. (Surat al-`Araaf, 7:156)

Your Mercy has encompassed everything! Allah dresses us with that rahmah that Allah will write for the Believers who have taqwa of Allah (swt)! Yaa Rabbee, make us from them and accept from us our shortcomings, what can we do? Turn it into strong prayer, not imitational prayers, but real prayers! And Yaa Rabbee, for one inch, one millimeter, give us millions! His treasures never end, His giving never ends, His Mercy never ends, His Greatness never ends! Yaa Rabbee, dress us with all these Beautiful Names and Attributes that You praised Yourself with! Wana naqoolu yaa Rabbanaa, yaa Allah:

Labbayk Allahuma labbayk! Labbayk Allah shareeka laka Labbayk!

Here I am at Your Service, O Allah! Here I am at Your Service! Here I am Allah at Your Service, and You have no partner! Here I am at Your Service! Yours is (all) praise and favor and dominion! You have no partner!

Wa sall-Allahu `alaa sayyidina wa nabiyyina muhammadin wa `alaa aalihi wa sahbihi wa sallam. Subhaana rabbika rabbi ‘l-`izzati `amma yasifoon wa salaamun `alaa mursaleen wa ‘l-hamdulillahi rabbi ‘l-`alameen.

Those who can fast tomorrow, do it, because it takes away all the sins of the past year, and inshaa-Allah past years, and what is in the coming years also inshaa-Allah, as Prophet (s) mentioned, one year before, one year after. But we ask, requesting from Prophet (s) to request from Allah not one year, but years before and years after! bi hurmati’l-Habeeb bi hurmati ‘l-Fatiha.

This `Eid is `Eid al-Adha, the Day of Sacrifice, and Allah ordered Sayyidina Ibraheem (a) to sacrifice his son Isma`eel (a) for Him. It is the `Eid of Remembrance of how Isma`eel (a) was:

وَتَلَّهُ لِلْجَبِينِ

And he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice). (Surat as-Safaat, 37:103)

He put him on the stone and, by Allah’s order, and Ibraheem (a) was sacrificing him. Then Allah changed that sacrifice from a child to a ram, and that’s why this `Eid is about sacrifice, which means not to spend on yourself, but what you can save from spending on yourself. Whatever you save give to the poor, to give them food, to give them shelter, to give them a home, anything. Remember on this day that there are poor people there, everywhere, who need your help. May Allah (swt) enable us to help each other and to be with those who help, and those whom their du`a are never rejected, which is Sayyidina Muhammad (s)!

Bi hurmati 'l-habeeb, bi hurmati ‘l-Fatihah.
