May Allah never deprive us to be in Sham, yaa Rabbee, yaa Allah, from our share to be in Sham ash-Shareef, SubhaanAllahi 'l-`Aliyyu 'l-`Azheem. Grandshaykh lived on the plain area close to Shaykh Hasan (q). There was a mosque of Sultan Selim, a tekkiya where they gave out food, then they stopped and then came the time of Shaykh Muhiyuddin (q). They gave a big bowl of soup daily. Grandshaykh went there for years; he added water to that soup and boiled it, and we ate that. Every day he had at least five or seven people and at times ten people sitting at the table eating that. For one kg. of tannur bread the price was twenty piasters.
Mawlana Shaykh never complained, never! He recited Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmaani ‘r-Raheem a hundred times on food and there was nothing to worry about. For years we ate like that in the plate; they brought green olives and sometimes zaatar, and he also put olive oil. We would sit with Grandshaykh, eat and be satisfied. Pay attention! I never complained to Mawlana Shaykh `AbdAllah for any reason as alhamdulillah, haadha min fadli Rabbee, this is from my Lord’s favors on me. The mother of my children, Hajjah Amina, may Allah bless her soul, used to cook a pot over a simple fire for those who came after Maghrib, and that pot was enough for all of us. Hold your tongue (Mawlana says to a mureed), even though I never complained even once to my master!
Du`a:
Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem. O Allah! Make our gathering a blessed meeting. Bless us after we leave this meeting and don’t leave a bad person amongst us. And give to us and don’t deprive us from Your blessing! Honor us and don’t let people humiliate us! Bless us and accept from us, and forgive us and have mercy on us, pardon us and guide us! Correct our situation and the situation of the Muslims, and make us victorious over the opposers of faith, and bring out the Sultan of Muslims, the Sultan of Men and jinn, Sayyidina Mahdi (a)! May Allah bring him to appear, honor him and glorify him, support him and make him appear. Bi jaahi man anzalta `alayhi, Suratu ‘l-Fatihah.
Kiss the threshold of every saint and prophet, and beg from them that Allah forgives us, supports us and gives us strength, so that we may never be humiliated amongst people and that we may be at the service of Sayyidina Mahdi (a)!

Once I entered (the house of) Shaykh Yahya Sabbar and he said to me, “O Shaykh, who is your Shaykh?” I told him, “I am a servant of Shaykh `AbdAllah ad-Daghestani.” He said, “Be with him, O young man because he is the only one who meets physically the Master of all messengers, Sayyidina Muhammad (s), not while sleeping but awake!”
This is the true power; Mawlana was the only one subhaanAllahi ‘l-`Aliyyi ‘l-`Azheem. Fatiha. Enough.
Mureed tells Mawlana about a dream: When you brought me into your service in the year 1966 I saw in a dream that some people brought me to the holy maqaam of the Prophet (s) and at the head of the meeting was Shaykh `AbdAllah ad-Daghestani (q). they asked me, “Did you see the Prophet (s)?” I said, “No,” so they took me to see him and they pointed to Grand Shaykh and said, “He carries the inheritance of the Prophet (s),” and I kissed his honorable feet and legs and he let me sit next to him. This meeting was at the diwan of the Prophet (s). I saw this when I was in the first month of service and now it is you Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (Mawlana beats him) Grand Shaykh said this to me and not us.
Mawlana Shaykh: Now I am going to swear at you for saying this.
Mureed: Don’t worry Shaykh, we are used to it. They said Grand Shaykh reached the maqaam of the inheritor of the Prophet (s).
Mawlana Shaykh: yes, he is the one.
Mureed: no, no Grand Shaykh (q) presented you to the whole gathering in the Umayyad Mosque and he said, “You know who gave that association? That person (Mawlana Shaykh) is at the station of the Prophet (s).” He said in good and clear Arabic. Don’t forget us in your prayers
Mawlana Shaykh: Send my salaams to all the beloved brothers and friends in Halab, Sham ash-shareef.
