Laa ilaaha illa-Llah, laa ilaaha illa-Llah, laa ilaaha illa-Llah Sayyidina Muhammadun Rasoolullah, Habeebullah, Shafee`ullah, Nooru `arshillah, zidhu ya Rabb `izzan wa sharafan, nooran wa soorora. Absolute Greatness, Absolute Glorification, Absolute Praising is only for You, our Lord, Allah Almighty! Only You may grant. No one else can grant anything! (Mawlana sits.)
Madad yaa Sultan al-Awliyaa. O lend us your support, Qutbu 'l-Mutasarrif! You are responsible for everything relating to Mankind on this planet, you are responsible for every living creature. O Qutbu 'l-Mutasarrif! He is responsible for humanity, he is the representative of the Seal of Prophets, Sayyidina Muhammad (s)! (Mawlana Shaykh stands.)
Show him respect and this will bring you respect. Give honor and become honored. Give pleasure and be pleased. Give enjoyment and take enjoyment. We are advising people to take honor from the heavens, and heavenly ones are saying, a`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytaani 'r-rajeem. By reciting this we are able to run away from all of Shaytan's dirtiness, and are asking cleanliness and safety from Shaytan's trips and traps. Therefore, you must say, a`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytaani 'r-rajeem at least forty times daily. Say it for every occasion, say, a`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytaani 'r-rajeem. Then you will be servants of the Lord, not servants of dirtiness!
Dirtiness extends to our physical being but its aim is not our physical being. Shaytan’s target is to disquiet our spiritual beings. Yes, that is it. Our real aim is to connect to our spiritual being. Although our physical being is always being thrown around, Shaytan’s target is not our physical being, no. His aim is to disturb our spirituality. Therefore, we must say at least forty times a day, a`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytaani 'r-rajeem. When Shaytan disturbs our spirituality, darkness comes upon us. Therefore, Allah (swt) says, (Mawlana Shaykh stands.) Fasta`idh billah min ash-Shaytaani 'r-rajeem. (Mawlana Shaykh sits.) Fasta`idh billah. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem.
O `ulama of Azhar, those Azhar `ulama who are ashshar, most famous ones from east to west. And then there are the `ulama of the Saudi Kingdom who control everything throughout the Saudi Kingdom, all the holy places, and they are not happy with the Azhari `ulama. They question the credibility of the Azhari `ulama, saying, "Who are they, those Azhar `ulama? We are `ulama, because we are the Salafi." Aah, you are Salafi, because you are khalafi (later). Yes `Adnaan Effendi, it is a good translation. You say of yourselves, "We are Salafi." We say, "Khalafi `ulama" (late-times scholars). Which is more important?
If one makes, hakamun `adil baynahuma, just judgment between the two groups, in order to find the hakamun `adil, people of sound judgment, then we must seek out the Azhar ash-Shareef `ulama, because they are truly Khalafi. They are with the `ulama of the Sahaabah (r). The Salafi `ulama do not call themselves “Salafi Shareef,” they just call themselves “Salafi.” The Salafi Shareef are Khalafi, they are those with the `ulama of the Sahaabah (r). The title “Khalafi” belongs to the Azhari Shareef `ulama. We however say, Azhari Shareef are thousands and thousands and each one may swallow all the Salafi `ulama in one luqma, bite! May swallow like Salafi `ulamas hundreds, like fuhool. That saying Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem.
Fuhool, fuhool means rijaal, strong men, that thousands and thousands of fuhool, high level `ulamas that each one of such a `ulamas can bring from their pockets hundreds of Salafi `ulamas. Fuhool, really we are saying meaning whom they are able to ride on such `ulamas, that bibla` swallowing hundreds of Salafi `ulamas. Aferin to Azhar ash-shareef `ulamas, masha-Allah. I am now something from waaridaat, inspirations we must speak.
Ashkur rabbukum we are not drinking (smoking) nargheela (hookah), but I need something for my cold. Ya Rabbee shukr, bismillah.
One of them I may speak that he is `Abdal-Wahhab ash-Sha`raani, `all-Allahi ta`ala darajatihi daaiman, that he can bring from one pocke all salafi ulamas. he was so tawada` humble one, and you must know about him, Imam `Abdal-Wahhab ash-Sha`raani, saying, "I am never putting my name when manshoor sultaani, reaching to my madrasah, school, asking me to write the names of `ulamas that they are in my madrasah." He was saying that "Allah Almighty granting to me such a big grant that I am never writing my name through manshoor, declaration, that I am one of the `ulamas. Look how they are. How they are. Egyptian, Egypt, thousands and thousands of `ulamas bringing, masha-Allah, he was saying through his Kitaab al-Minan, saying, "I am never writing my name through `ulamas that I am there teaching them or going to be with them. Only I am the chief, the head." Bi 'l-`arabi, the mudeer the madrasah they are teaching people, the principal. Never writing. Why they are asking. Why? I am saying if anyone asking to me 'why are you not writing your name through `ulamas'?" And he was saying, "O my prince! O my shareek fi 'l-`ilm, colleagues. Because I have learned, it is reaching to me some happenings, waqi`a, events which happened in Baghdad in the time of the Abbassiyyeen."
Once happened a big fire in Baghdad and just burned kutbuhane, the library of Nizam al-Mulk and putting hundreds of books there. Hundreds or thousands of books there. Fire coming and burning. Then khaliphati 'l-muslimeen... Listen well, O mulook al-`arab. You must learn, because talabu'l-`ilm min al-mahdi ila 'l-lahd, (seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave). You must learn. You must use time by time majlis, mulook, qudamaa, khulafa, they have majaalis al-`ilm (circles of learning), where they were inviting learned people and making majlis al-`ilm for mubaahatha, to make discussion among `ulamas and khalifatu 'l-muslimeen, hadar fi 'l-majlis, wa law haadir fi 'l-majlis yantafi` wa yuraghghib ahl ul-`ilm (the caliph was attending that circle and if attending the) people of knowledge learn more and are urged to teach more and more. And where are our kings now, mulook al-`arab, to make such a majaalis al-`ilm, meetings for knowledge. Where are they? Why are they not calling from east and west `ulamas that are well-known ones or well-known people. Call and listen and discuss with them and give their rights, give to them honor, because you are mulook. YOu are kings of Arabs, sultans of Arabs. Why are you not keeping this way? I never heard anywhere, bayn al-mulook, among sultans and mulook al-`arab. Malik, calipha, that through that time of Abbassiyyeen, he was so sad and he was crying. This is a big museebah, disaster that coming through khilafatee, my caliphate, through my time. I am so sorry I am crying. And his wazeer was saying, "O Khalifatu 'l-muslimeen. Don't worry. Through your territory there are so many `ulamas that they may bring all the books that burned from their memories dictating every book from their library that burned and you will be happy."
He said, Hal yujad abu ishaqa? hakadha `alim. Na`m, yaa ameer al-mumineen, ya khalifati rasoolullah. yujad wa ziyadah. hadhihi ummatu muhammadun, his order (Commander of the Faithful). Yazid sharafahum wa laa yanqas (May their honor increase and never decrease). but today in our days, people asking honor for following ahl al-kufr, ahl al-irhab, ahlul-bida`. Don't worry yaa ameerul-mumieeen. Yujad bi bilaad al-bukhara `alim mulaqab ibnu 'l-Haddad. Scholar. You may bring him here and he can yumli, dictating every book through that library that burned and you should be happy. Hal yujad hakadha (does there exist such a one)? Na`m yaa ameer al-mumineen (yes, O Prince of the Believers). Sajad li rabbihi jalla wa `aalaa, li anna yujad (He made prostration to the Lord of the Worlds because such a scholar existed), wa amr ameerul-mumineen his order is on, send,"You may invite him to come here and to do what you ask." And the Ameer al-Mumineen sent to Bukhara, Taskhkent, and Samarqand and finding that `alim, big scholar ibn al-Haddad mulaqab and coming and saying, "That is my Lord's grant to me, for the honor of the Seal of Prophets, Sayyidina Muhammad (s)! (Mawlana Shaykh stands.). Don't worry, O Ameer al-Mumineen, anaa lahaa, I am for that purpose." And he was, subhaanAllah, sultaanAllah, bi amrillah, by the order of Allah, bi shafa`at rasoolillah (by the intercession of the Prophet) and that one sat, muddata sannah, just for one year. In that year he dictated all the books to the kutaab, scribes, beginning with the first book right through to the last. In one year he completed this task. And Imam Sha`raani, imaamiyya b'il-haqq lahu, said of himself, although he was such an `ulama, "How I can write my name under the manshoor amongst them? If the Sultaan asks for the names of `ulama, I would be ashamed to count myself among them."
Those people just growing up, only with Azhar ash-Shareef and, laa hadd, they had no limits from Islamic world from that time up today. Now where are the Salafi `ulamas? Do not make any claims about your knowledge! [Imam Sha`raanee said: ] "Your knowledge is not even one drop compared to such, fuhool, that they are oceans of `ilm, knowledge. Ana astahee, I am ashaming, but they are instructing me to put people in their place."
Since our people are on point zero, I am enough for them, more than enough.
`Ilm. Al-`ilmu bahrun mush bahr muheet. Ataaullah muheetun nukta min `ilmu rabbuna jalla wa `alaa subhanahu wa ta`ala. (Knowledge. This knowledge is a sea, not even an ocean. This is not even a point from the knowledge of our Lord, glory be to Him.) Nukta, that point, is an ocean.
O People! Leave those da`wah baatilan, false claims. Leave that and come and accept the truth, that this honor is for Egyptians and Muslims, and for `ulama maa waraa an-nahr. (scholars of Bukhara). This is Islam. Do not think knowledge that is antashar, spreading through Islamic world; do not think that is dried up. No! No! No!
O People! Be proud of your `ulama! Do not say, "Salafu aw malafu." (Malaf is “file.”)
Salafi `ulama! Close it down and come and learn! That is `ilm. They must know why they are using me to swear at people. No one remains except that shaykh whom they call, kharfaan. Ma laysh, bas yasubun, hal yatajaawaz `ani 'l-haqq, my sword is cutting! I have a sword.
Marhaban, marhaban `ulama Azhar. Yaa `ulama Azhar itrak dhaak al-anwaan ilee huwa bida` an taqool doctor (leave this innovation of calling oneself "doctor".) I do not like the title, “doctor.” Allah Almighty says,
"Inamaa yakhsh-allah min ibaadhi al-`ulama."
How then are they inventing "doctor" and saying, "doctor"?
May Allah forgives us. It is for today, our association! May Allah forgive me and forgive those who have attended our association. As-salaamu `alaykum.

Tamat amru illatee nahnu tahta arjul in-naas.

Even the Azhar Shareef `ulama do not accept this.

I am not young enough to dance and play,
yet I am here and therefore I sing only
Dome, dome, dome, dome.
It gives your hearts pleasure! Do not worry, if there is any mas'uliyah, responsibility, I can carry it, qalam marfu` `annee, and because I am 90, the pen is lifted from me! And even the Seal of Prophets (s) is laughing, as I am making him happy! I bring a little theatre here, not like the Azhar Shareef `ulama, they are so dry!
