A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani ‘r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem.
Nawaytu 'l-arba`'een, nawaytu 'l-`'itikaaf, nawaytu 'l-khalwah, nawaytu 'l-`uzlah,
nawaytu 'r-riyaada, nawaytu 's-salook, lillahi ta'ala al-`Azheem fee hadha 'l-masjid.
Atee`oollaha wa atee`oo 'r-Rasoola wa ooli 'l-amri minkum.
Obey Allah, obey the Prophet, and obey those in authority among you. (Surat an-Nisa, 4:59)
As-salaamu `alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh.
Allah (swt) has revealed the Qur'an to His Prophet (s), and He said:
لَوْ أَنزَلْنَا هَذَا الْقُرْآنَ عَلَى جَبَلٍ لَّرَأَيْتَهُ خَاشِعًا مُّتَصَدِّعًا مِّنْ خَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ وَتِلْكَ الْأَمْثَالُ نَضْرِبُهَا لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
Had We sent down this Qur'an on a mountain, verily you would have seen it humble itself and cleave asunder for fear of Allah. Such are the similitudes that We propound to men that they may reflect.
(Surat al-Hashr, 59:21)
These are Allah's Words, “Had We have revealed this Qur'an to the universe, the whole universe will shatter, go into pieces,” which means this universe sees itself in front of the Holy Qur'an as nothing; it means this universe is alive, everything in this world is alive.
Wa in min shay’in illa yusabihoo bi-hamdihi wa laakin laa tafqahoon tasbeehahum.
There is not a thing but celebrates His Praises, and yet you don’t understand how they declare His Glory! (Surat al-’Israa, 17:44)
These planets, the galaxy, everything Allah (swt) created is glorifying Him! The life of the Creation is by Allah’s secret that he has put in that soul, put that body to move that we cannot see. For a dunya example, if you have a car you cannot move it, you need patrol to move it. Also, this fan or this lamp you cannot move it except by electricity. Can you see electricity? No, you cannot see electricity, that is hidden energy. Everything of hidden particles is making tasbeeh, glorifying Allah (swt). In Allah's Words, “If I reveal the Holy Qur’an on a mountain, that mountain will become powder as it cannot carry `Azhamat al-Qur'an, the Greatness of Qur'an!
But Allah wants to show love to His Prophet (s) and that is holy love; no one can understand it, and that is because Prophet (s) was able to carry the Qur'an, but the whole universe was not able to carry it! Allah (swt) revealed it to the heart of Prophet (s) and his heart did not shatter. In every word of Holy Qur'an, Allah blessed us with Holy Qur'an. Don't think Qur'an doesn't speak, Qur'an can speak, it is Allah's Words, it is alive and it can speak! Every letter has a meaning, every letter has a Light. We cannot say that Holy Qur'an is not alive, it affects every person.
When Jibreel came with Qur'an to Prophet (s) they used to study, reading the Holy Qur'an to each other! Look how much Allah has made the relationship between Jibreel (a) and Prophet (s) and not every prophet was able to make that relationship. And they were talking about `Ilm al-Awwaleen wa ’l-Akhireen.
That is when Jibreel (a) said “Kaaf,” and Prophet (s) said, “`Alimtu, I knew it.” It means every knowledge behind Kaaf, Prophet (s) knew. When Jibreel (a) said “Saad”, Prophet (s) said, “`Alimtu.” That means he knew, and every letter has lots of meanings behind it. When he was speaking about Kaaf, behind the letter Kaaf are 24,000 Oceans of Knowledge that genius scholars, not like scholars of today but past ones, knew 24,000
meanings of Kaaf! Today, who can bring 24,000 meanings of Holy Qur'an?
When Jibreel (a) revealed to Prophet (s), Prophet immediately knew all the meanings. Allah (swt) will not prohibit you from carrying the meaning of the Light of those letters, and if you read it tomorrow Allah will dress you from that, and if you read it again Allah will dress you with more, different dresses!
Companions of Prophet (s) when reading Holy Qur'an, different meanings came to their hearts. Today when we are re reading we don't understand anything, we only read and understand literal meanings. How many tafseers of Qur'an are there? From every tafseer you can find different meanings of Qur'an. That is for Holy Qur'an. What is for Sahabah (r)? Sayyidina Umar (r) took that paper from his sister on which was written Surah Taha and immediately he wanted to become Muslim, and Allah gave his sister courage and put noor in her words when she said, “You cannot read it or touch it because you are not pure!” Who can tell Sayyidina `Umar, “You are not pure!” but Allah gave her courage, and immediately he took a shower because Allah guided him, and immediately he wanted to become Muslim and he ran to Prophet (s) to become Muslim.
When he was knocking on door, the Sahabah (r) were afraid as it was (the legendary warrior) Sayyidina `Umar (r), and Prophet (s) said, “Open the door,” and he came saying Shahadah to Prophet (s)! Who is our Shahadah to? Alhamdullilah, our Shahadah is accepted, but I’m sorry to say it is not like someone taking Shahadah in front of Prophet (s). How much do we have to do to be at the threshold of Sahabah (r)?
The Prophet (s) was sitting with his Companions and said, “Who are the ones with the most imaan, that astonishes and stuns me?” He asked the Sahabah (r), “Did you hear about them or can you figure out who these people are?” They looked at him and thought, “Who can be of the best imaan?” They said, “The angels, who are always under Allah's Order in everything; it must be the angels.” The Prophet (s) said, Wa kayfa la tumin al-malaaikata wal-amru fawqahum yarawnahu, “How can the angels not have strong imaan when they are in the Divine Presence and they see what they see? Of course they have the best imaan. No, they have imaan, but there are others with the best imaan.” The Sahabah (r) thought some more and said, “If it is not the angels, then it must be the Prophets.” The Prophet (s) said, “How are the Prophets not going to have imaan when Allah (swt) reveals to them morning and evening and they hear Allah's revelation through Jibreel (a), who brings them the message, or Sayyidina Musa (a), who talks directly as Kaleemullah? How can they not believe when it is being revealed to them?” Then the Sahabah (r) looked at each other and said, “If not the angels and not Prophets, then it is us. How is it not us and we are following you?” And the Prophet (s) said, “How do you dare to say ‘us,’ and how can you not have imaan when you are among the Prophet (s) and see what he is bringing to you? No, there are others who have the best imaan. The people with the most imaan are those coming after me, who believe in me although they did not see me, and that means coming after you, O Sahaabah! Those are in truth my brothers!” ( Related from Ibn Abbas )
Who has the most astonishing, extraordinary imaan, Prophet (s) asked. They said angels. And Prophet (s) said, how they cannot have strong faith, highest level of faith when all the time they are glorifying Allah (swt)? Then they said prophets. Prophet (s) then said, how can prophets not have faith when they're receiving revelations? Then they said to Prophet (s), it must be us. But he said how can you not dare to have strong faith when you are with me all the time? Then Prophet (s) said, "These people are believing in me without seeing me. They are loving Allah (swt) and Prophet (s) without seeing me. Angels see Allah (swt), prophets have Jibreel (a), and you see me, but these people never saw me, and then there are also people who are always making salawaat, imitating the angels!”
Verily, Allah and His angels send praise on the Prophet. O Believers! Pray upon him and greet him with a worthy salutation. (Surat al-Ahzaab, 33:56)
Every atom must have in it Noor Allah `azza wa jall, existing in Allah's Divinely Light that no one can understand, in Bahr al-Qudra, where Allah created these souls. They have machine today (ultrasound) with which they can detect the child inside of the mother, is it not? How many children have been born in this world? How many, thousands, hundreds of thousands? Imagine, think with your mind, with your heart, with everything you want to think. When Allah sends the soul to the womb, they don't make a mistake, they don't mix up; rather, souls go to the one to which they're assigned. Imagine Allah's `Azhamat, Greatness! Everyone goes to its target with kun fa-yakoon!
Today we know that the space shuttle maximum goes to Mars, and how many years to reach Mars? Six months to reach Mars and they say this galaxy is one-billion light years old. What about other galaxies? That soul is coming from somewhere beyond this Creation, we don't know from where, from Heavens. But Heavens is not in this universe, so at what kind of speed is that soul moving? Now they are finding a speed that is faster than speed of light, but that soul reaches that womb with no mistakes; in a moment, in a glance it is in that womb!
Look at yourself, let’s look at ourselves. One day we're going to stand in front of Allah (swt), and we're saying, “We are sinners, yaa Rabbee! Forgive us for the sake of Prophet (s)!” whom He brought to Qaaba Qawsayni aw Adnaa. But aren't we ashamed that we hate each other, we fight with each other, we envy each other, we make strategies against each other. So what are we going to say? No one can say he is free of anger, no one can say he is free of hate, no one can say he is free of this or that, and that is why...we go back to the beginning: “If this Qur'an was revealed to Prophet (s) he was able to carry it.” Look at the power of Prophet (s)! He went to Qaaba Qawsayni aw Adnaa, and Prophet (s) went and he went, and when we think like that then we understand how small we are in front of Allah (swt) and His Prophet (s)!
And We shall turn to whatever deeds they did (in this life), and We shall make such deeds as floating dust scattered about. (Surat al-Furqaan, 25:23)
O Muslims! “We come to their worship on the Day of Judgment, and we throw it in their faces.” We are asking to not be like that on the Day of Judgment.
O Muslims! This is a meeting not for business, not for anything else, but for love of Allah (swt) and love of Prophet (s). Follow that Sunnah: sit together, invite each other to your homes and make relationships. Muslims need relationships wherever they are in order to be one strong body against any problem that they might face, they need strong unity! May Allah (swt) unite us and make us to love each other and take away all kinds of envy and jealousy from us.
Bi hurmati 'l-habeeb, bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah.
