Shaytan Wants to Destroy the Unity

A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytaani 'r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem.

Nawaytu 'l-arba`een, nawaytu 'l-`itikaaf, nawaytu 'l-khalwah, nawaytu 'l-`uzlah,

nawaytu 'r-riyaadah, nawaytu 's-sulook, lillahi ta`alaa fee haadha 'l-masjid.

Alhamdulillahi Rabbi 'l-`Alameen, wa ’s-salaatu wa ’s-salaamu `alaa ashrafi 'l-mursaleena Sayyidina wa Nabiyyina Muhammadin wa `alaa aalihi wa sahbihi ajma`een.

Brothers and sisters, wherever you are. May Allah (swt), astaghfirullah al-`azheem, may Allah keep us always united, not only here but everywhere, because unity brings strength; disunity brings miseries and war and problems and confusion and fitna. And Allah said in Holy Qur’an:

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍ وَأُنثَى وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ شُعُوبًا وَقَبَائِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوا إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِندَ اللَّهِ أَتْقَاكُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ

O Mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes that you may know one another, (not that you will despise each other). Verily the most honored of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you and Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things). (Surat al-Hujuraat, 49:13)

Li ta`arafoo means “to know each other,” which means to keep respect and not to spread fitna and confusions. Fitna and confusions are the instruments of Shaytan, love and happiness are the instruments of Heavens. So it depends: if you are from the People of Heavens and you are using today the worst possible Shaytanic technology--the Internet, the Whatsapp, the Facebook, the Twitter--in a wrong way, it becomes an instrument of Shaytan, but if you are using it in a good way, it is an instrument of spreading Heavenly messages and spreading nice things to fill people with happiness and respect and tolerance, acceptance and love. So you choose which way you want to go: if you are going to go with fitna and use instruments to spread fitna, that is a Shaytanic way that wants you to destroy the unity. That is not going to go anywhere except to harm people and to speak bad about each other. I am not defending anyone, but speaking in general, that is for me and to you, for people who are here and for people who are listening.

Fitna is not going to end. From Adam’s (a) time where two brothers, Qaabeel and Haabeel, they were not in good terms and Allah (swt) wanted from them to give sacrifice, and Haabeel gave the best of what he had and Qaabeel gave the worst of what he had, and Allah accepted what Haabeel gave and did not accept from Qaabeel. Then what happened? War. What happened? Bloodshed. So from that time until today, there is a war between good and evil, there is a struggle between good and evil. So let us be good and not evil: evil is for Shaytan and good is for Rahman, so you choose. If you see something wrong from your brother, don’t put it on whatsapp and make fitna from nothing. That is why we say whatsapp is a way of Shaytan. Shaytan made technology in the minds of people to invent computers for people to do in an instant harm that Shaytan cannot do in hundreds of years!

Now the biggest devils, I heard from Grandshaykh, may Allah bless his soul and bless the soul of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim, I heard that there is a taaifa, a group of muradat al-jinn, `afareet al-jinn, the worst of jinn, called Huzq az-Zanaadeel, and Grandshaykh (q) said 40-50 years ago that they found a way, because before Prophet (s) left dunya he blew on them and kept them imprisoned above the atmosphere of the world. Grandshaykh said they found a way (to penetrate the Earth’s atmosphere) because of too much darkness and fitna. And the Prophet (s) mentioned:

إِنَّ بَيْنَ أَيْدِيكُمْ فِتَنًا كَقِطَعِ اللَّيْلِ الْمُظْلِمِ يُصْبِحُ الرَّجُلُ فِيهَا مُؤْمِنًا وَيُمْسِي كَافِرًا وَيُمْسِي مُؤْمِنًا وَيُصْبِحُ كَافِرًا الْقَاعِدُ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْقَائِمِ وَالْقَائِمُ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْمَاشِي وَالْمَاشِي فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ السَّاعِي ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالُوا فَمَا تَأْمُرُنَا قَالَ ‏"‏ كُونُوا أَحْلاَسَ بُيُوتِكُمْ ‏"‏

Before the Hour comes, there will be a tribulation like patches of dark night. A man will get up a believer and go to sleep a kafir, or will go to sleep a believer and get up a kafir. The one who sits will be better than one who stands and one who walks will be better than one who runs. Break your bows, cut their strings and strike your swords against stones. If someone comes to kill any of you, then be like the better of the two sons of Adam. (Narrated Abu Musa al-Ash`aree, Abu Dawud.)

Satakoona fitanatun ka-qit`ata al-layli ’l-muzhlim. There is going to be a time that fitna is going to be so much, so many around the world, like big chunks of dark nights and it is going to cover dunya. And, of course, these `afareet al-jinn, maraadat al-jinn, the bad ones of jinn, not the good ones, who is their commander? It’s Iblees, Satan. So we must not use this technology in order to make fitna from nothing. So what Prophet (s) said there is going to happen this kind of fitna that is so huge that it is difficult to cover. If one person, if someone says one word it becomes like--you blow in a balloon once it doesn’t expand, but as much as you blow in the balloon it becomes bigger and bigger and bigger. So Allah said:

وَاعْتَصِمُواْ بِحَبْلِ اللّهِ جَمِيعًا وَلاَ تَفَرَّقُواْ

W `atasimoo bi hablillaahi jamiyy`an wa laa tafaraqoo.

Hold fast to Allah's rope and don't separate. (Surat Aali-`Imraan, 3:103)

Those who are sending texts, emails, Whatsapp, whatever they are sending, and they are, yan `atoonanaa, “describing” people in the worst way and trying to put the reputation down of those people who are successful or humble, those are going to be a group who have to fix their problem themselves. Read what they post and you will understand how much fitna there is going on.

We are students of a great shaykh and we must represent his greatness everywhere! A shaykh that has perfect manners and we must express his perfect manners everywhere. We have to learn from him! Why did we go to him and were with him for many, many years, so many people around the world? In order to learn from him good adab! What did the Prophet say? O mu`mins, Muslims, he (s) said:

‏انما بعثت لاتمم مكارم الاخلاق

Innamaa bu`ithtu li utammimu makaarim al-akhlaaq.

I have been sent to perfect the best of conduct (your behavior and character). (Bazzaar)

“I have been sent to perfect the best perfect manners of you people.” So the bi`that an-nabi, sending Prophet (s) as a Messenger is to perfect and discipline our behavior, not to criticize each other. What is the benefit? If you want to bring someone down, Allah will bring him up.

إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُدَافِعُ عَنِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا

inna ’Llaaha yudaafi`u `ani ’Lladheena aamanoo.

Allah will always protect and defend the good ones. (Surat al-Hajj, 22:38)

Allah defends those who are the believers, those who are have good faith, inna ’Llaaha yudaafi`u `ani ’Lladheena aamanoo, He always protects and defends the good ones, He does not defend the bad ones! Be good ones is better than bad ones, so let us be good ones altogether! What is the benefit to fight with each other and we are under one shaykh? Take `ibra, an example, how these mashaykh, these shuyookh are ones that showed us lot of good manners. Always when you come, when Mawlana was alive, may Allah bless his soul, when someone comes to him saying something against someone else he says to him, “I don’t want to hear it, I don’t believe you;” he cuts him directly.

I asked him one time, “Yaa Sayyidee, that man was correct.”

He said, “I don’t want to hear it as I don’t want to give his Shaytan a way to attack another person. I stopped him; even though he is good, I stopped him from doing something wrong and then someone else comes to me and say, ‘This person said this or that.’ I want to stop this nameema, this fitna, to stop that, not to put fuel on it.”

[Mawlana speaks directly to the camera, live streaming.] I know you are hearing me and watching me, and my words are for myself and for you. Let us rejoice in rahmatullah, in Allah’s Mercy, that is what is needed, nothing else, and let us unite, to be one voice, to be one soul and to judge people according to what awliyaullah have taught us. First, what they taught us--one time I was asking Mawlana Shaykh something and he said:

فَاذْكُرُونِي أَذْكُرْكُمْ وَاشْكُرُواْ لِي وَلاَ تَكْفُرُونِ

Fa ’dhkuroonee adhkurkum wa ’shkuroo lee wa laa takfuroon

So remember Me and I shall remember you, and be grateful to Me and don’t deny Me.

(Surat al-Baqarah, 2:152)

فَلَا تُزَكُّوا أَنفُسَكُمْ

Fa laa tuzakoo anfusakum.

Don’t praise yourself. (Surat an-Najm, 53:32)

Don’t praise yourself, even if you have the right, don’t give an excuse to yourself or praise yourself. Even if they have to praise you because you did something good, but in Allah’s Eyes, in Prophet’s eyes, in awliyaullah’s eyes it is not enough, so don’t praise yourself, don’t give excuse to yourself to think to yourself that is good. If that is for a good cause, what about for a bad cause, what about fitna? Fitna is everywhere: in your homes between families, brothers and sisters, father and mother there is fitna and they fight. Today there is no place empty from fitna, confusion, and we must, since we lost a great, sincere person to us that we love, we are not going to be part of that fitna that you are speaking about! We are people that consider our love to Mawlana Shaykh (q) is holy and it is required and whatever he says we accept! But don’t try to teach us, teach yourself! You are doing the fitna you teach yourself.

I don’t like anyone to interfere between the family; the family of Mawlana Shaykh (q), no one can touch! They are children of a holy man and no one can make a dispute. We are united and we are together. Those who are playing games to make a dispute, they are going to be losers! Don’t think what you are writing on your computers or iPad or Whatsapp that Mawlana (q) doesn’t know what is in the hearts. You are the first one to be considered responsible for what you have written. We are not responding. All those who don’t respond are the ones who are safe and the ones whom Allah will bless. The ones who respond and put fuel over the fire to make a bigger fire are going to be asked by Allah (swt) and His Prophet (s).

Prophet (s) said and don’t be, don’t feel...this is hadith of Prophet (s). He asked the Sahaabah (r):

Man al-muflis? “Who is the bankrupted one?” You like to be bankrupt? No one likes to be bankrupted and the biggest for someone to lose something that he loves is bankruptcy, because everyone likes to have wealth, to have money, like to have homes, like to have cars, whatever. They said, “The one who has nothing.” And Prophet (s) said, “No, wait! The one who is bankrupt is not because he doesn’t have homes or cars and he lost them and he is bankrupt; he might have all that, Allah will give. But the one who is bankrupt is the one with no `amal.” You want to be bankrupted with no `amal? The Sahaabah (r) were surprised [and asked], “What kind of no `amal? We are all praying and fasting.” They asked Prophet (s), “Yaa Rasoolullah! Is the one who has no `amal even though he prays and fasts wa in saama wa in salla?” “Yes, wa in saama wa in salla, he has no `amal even if he fasts and prays he has no `amal,” because of the fitna he is throwing around the others, gheebah and nameemah. No one can thank Allah enough.

الحمد لله الذي لا يحمد على مكروه سواه

Alhamdulillah laa yuhmadoo `alaa makroohin siwaah

“Even if something bad happened to you, you have to thank Allah (swt).” (A common Arabic idiom)

He is The One that can take and can give: you cannot give if Allah does not give and you cannot take if Allah does not take. What is written is written. Awliyaullah gave their life for their followers to unite and sometimes they give their life for their students to unite, and I think if someone is intelligent they can understand what I mean! Ajal is ajal, “in Allah’s Hand,” but there are causes that Allah might cure. I don’t think in the current era, in these days that we are living in, that someone has been, that people [have been] as sad for his sickness. Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim `Adil al-Naqshbandi al-Qubrusi al-Haqqani (q), the one that the whole dunya was sad for him, for whom in one day in one school in Indonesia, one thousand recitations of Holy Qur’an were completed in three hours by three thousand students, all of them sitting in groups and reciting. Millions and millions of Surat Yaseen were read. And he was, for all that, Allah (swt) gave him a choice. Allah loves His awliya. Allah can give anyone a choice. He gave Prophet (s) a choice if he wants to stay or he wants to go and Prophet (s) said, “La, yaa Rabbee, I want to go to be with You.” And he told the Sahaabah, “My death I will be stronger than me living between you, I can do more for you [after I pass from this world].”

Awliyaullah inherit from these perfections of the characters of Prophet (s)! They prefer to go and he preferred to go, he did not want to stay, we know that! Don't ask how we know that; it is not your responsibility to ask how we know that, me and some others. Allah gave him a choice, he preferred to go, because with his going there will be a unity. They work for unity of Mankind and especially the unity of their followers, not disunity. The hospital he was in, they never saw, even the government never saw someone visited from around the world day and night by thousands of people, sitting on the floor, sitting outside in the parking area, going/coming 24 hours from around the world. Look how they bring unity. They are living shaykhs! So Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (q) wants unity, so work for unity, don't work for disunity! We, from our side, you are not going to hear any response for whatever these shayateen are trying to say, those who make fitna, and those who make fitna are few, I don’t want to name them; I know them by name one by one.

Me personally, I can say, as I just received a message from my brother Shaykh Adnan, full of unity and love, which I appreciate his love and I know how much he loves me and he knows how much I love him, so don't try to enter in-between! Even if you want to try to enter in-between, he is stepping on what you are saying and on your fitna and I am stepping on your fitna! Me and my brother have a great love to the one with whom I spent 57 years, Mawlana Shaykh Nazim, may Allah bless his soul, and we were under his tarbiyyah, me and Shaykh Adnan. We raised, and it was the honor for us for many years that his two sons were living with us and I raised them as a father. I love both of them the same, and their sister Ruqayya, and my wife Naziha, who is their eldest sister, so no one try to enter between us! No one try in any way to speak fitna in the ears of them, because they are not going to listen to you. They know my love to them and my respect to Mawlana's family!

I am part of that family. If you are attacking me, you are attacking Mawlana Shaykh. If you are attacking me you are attacking Shaykh Bahauddin and Shaykh Muhammad; Shaykh Baha and Shaykh Muhammad, you are attacking both of them and you don't know what is between me and Mawlana Shaykh (q). You are the people of today, those trying to make fitna, outsiders, and they are trying to say, “Oh! We love you Shaykh Muhammad and we love you Shaykh Baha,” and on other side they are stabbing the others. [Adhaan sounds from a computer.] Allahu Akbar! You don't know what is between me and Shaykh Muhammad, so don’t try to touch on that! You don’t know what is between me and Shaykh Baha of love and relationship, between me and the two sisters, between me and my brother!

So finally, I say that I was honored and supported by Shaykh Baha and Shaykh Muhammad to lead the `Asr prayers in the big masjid in Nicosia, not the mufti, but me. This is because of the support of Shaykh Baha and Shaykh Muhammad. I had the honor and the privilege to wash Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (q). I had the honor to lead the Janazah prayer on Mawlana Shaykh (q) after `Asr, and this was due to the honor and support of Shaykh Baha and Shaykh Muhammad. And I had the pleasure and the honor and the support from both of them to put Mawlana (q) in the grave, and to see what I saw that until today makes my head dizzy and thinking everywhere I move my head in prayer--standing, qiyaaman, rukoo`, sujoodan, I see Mawlana's (q) face. When I go to bed at night I see Mawlana’s (q) face and body, because it was extraordinary!

You are trying to make fitna. You don't know this: Mawlana's (q) grave was dug from the wall of the masjid all the way to the garden, 4.5 meters if you measure from the wall to the end, but in reality, in the ground it is about four meters. When they handed us the body of Mawlana Shaykh (q) it was lighter than the feather of a bird. You didn’t feel that, but I felt it! I felt it because I have the privilege to be in the grave with Shaykh Bahauddin and his son, Shaykh Muhammad Nazim. Then Shaykh Bahauddin went up and we, me and my two sons, were putting the body and [my son] `Umar said, “I cannot put the head well, pull him down a little bit.” I could not pull him down as his feet were hitting the end of the grave and his head was by the wall of the masjid, like four meters long, and Mawlana was not even 1.70 meters in length, about five feet 7 inches. He was four meters covering the grave from one side to the other! Did you see that? You did not see that, so stop your fitna!

And enough to speak, that is enough. And I want to say don't try, for Allah’s Sake, I can say anything for Allah’s Sake. For Allah’s Sake stop that fitna, because it is not good for you. You cannot bring me down! If you go to the tape of Mawlana (q) in 1993 in Palo Alto, California, Mawlana (q) said to the people who were there, and you can hear it on Sufilive and YouTube, he said, “Shaykh Hisham does not need anyone’s support: I am his support and Prophet (s) is my support and Allah is supporting Prophet (s).” Mawlana (q) is supporting me, so you cannot bring me down! If you think you want to bring me down, you are mistaken. If Mawlana (q) wants to bring me down, okay, that is something else.

Don’t try to go to the family and try to bring disunity. I just spoke to Shaykh Bahauddin this morning; he had a meeting, it was the first day he went to work. No one can disturb that relationship between me and Muhammad and Bahauddin, so consider this finished, completed here. And what I said to Shaykh Muhammad three years ago he knows, you can ask him. I am not going to repeat it, what I said, two years ago. He is living between you now; he can talk. I want him to say what I said to him. So don't try to play with fire as you are not going to gain anything.

May Allah forgive us, may Allah bless us and may Allah unite us. That is what we want, we don’t want anything else. My respect to Mawlana's (q) family, to Shaykh Muhammad and Shaykh Baha and to Hajjah Naziha and Hajja Ruqayya. May Allah forgive all of us and support all of us and keep us together in dunya and Akhirah.
