Shaytan Buys Akhirah From Whoever Wishes Dunya

Shaykh Nour Mohamad Kabbani

27 September 2024 Fajr Salah Montreal, Quebec Canada

A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytaani 'r-rajeem.

Bismillaahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem.

I can chop that half into half and I can chop that half into another half, another half, another half, another half. What happens? You keep getting chopped up, cut, cut, cut, until you reach what? If you cut it so much, you have to reach zero because one divided by infinity is what? Who went to high school here? Nobody? I heard it from Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (q). Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (q) had external knowledge and internal knowledge. If you cut one by infinity, what do you reach? Zero.

You are divisible. You can be divided, so your end is zero. That’s why we die. Allah (swt) shows you that your end is zero. All of these big shots, their end is zero. Where is the Queen? We don’t see her anymore. It’s finished. Now the King also might get his turn soon. Everybody who claims to be the one or a one or a big one, your end is zero.

Allah (swt) is Mutlaq, Unlimited. He is not a body or a physicality. SubhaanAllah. Where were we? I forgot. Come to Him. The sustenance in the Heavens is physical and the sustenance in Heavens is spiritual. Turn your hands `Arsh because the treasures are up there.

ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ عَلَى ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱسْتَوَىٰ

Ar-Rahman `alaa ‘l-`Arshi ‘s-stawa.

(Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority). (Surah Taha, 20:5)

Sifatu ‘r-Rahman, not Himself but the Attributes of The Compassion, The Merciful, The Beneficent. The Attribute of Rahman comes on `Arsh. `Arsh has surrounded all creation. You have the earth, the Seven Heavens, the Kursi, the eight orbit and you have `Arsh, the ninth orbit and Who is around `Arsh? Who has settled on `Arsh? The Attribute of Ar-Rahman. That Mercy has surrounded all creation. Allah (swt) with His Greatness said, “I come down to the first sky,” as He knows. It doesn’t mean that He comes down. It means that you become closer to Him at that time.

People are busy sleeping and then they come to the shaykh the next day, “Pray for us. Eat for us. Walk for us. Work for us. Play for us. Entertain us,” or whatever. But if you wake up at that time 10 or 15 minutes or even 5 minutes and say, “Yaa Rabbee. Rabbana atina fi ‘d-dunya hasanah.” Don’t explain. We explain, “O Allah (swt). Do You know that I am in deep trouble today. Yaa Allah. Do You know what happened to me yesterday?” Don’t put Allah (swt) in the place of a jaahil. Allah (swt) is not jaahil. Astaghfirullah.

This du`a sums up all of the du`as. This du`a has all of the du`as in it. Say, “Yaa Rabbee. Give me the best in this world.” “Hasanah” is “the best.” Rabbana atina fi ‘d-dunya hasanah. Wake up for two minutes and say it. Wa fi ‘l-Akhirati hasanah. “Grant me the best in Akhirah.” Wa qinaa `adhaba ‘n-Naar. “Shelter me from the fire in dunya and the Fire in Akhirah.”

The fire that is basically the worst fire is you becoming veiled from Allah (swt), hijab. In Surat al- Mutafiffeen Allah (swt) said:

كَلَّآ إِنَّهُمْ عَن رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّمَحْجُوبُونَ

Kallaa innahum `an Rabbihim yawma’idhin la-mahjoobun.

Verily, from (the Light of) their Lord, that Day, will they be veiled. (Surat al-Mutaffifin, 83:15)

They are on that Day veiled from Allah (swt). There are veils in between. That is Naar. That is the Fire. They say `adhabu ‘l-qatiyya, the fire of cutting you off, disconnection wa ‘l-b`ud, and distance or being far away. Wa ‘l-harmaan, to be deprived and to not be given.

The punishment of not being given from Allah (swt), the punishment of being far away from Allah (swt) and the punishment of being disconnected or cut away from Allah (swt). That is the worst `adhab, not the fire that will touch the skin. Allah (swt) knows what that fire is.

But that is what you need, Rabbana atina fi ‘d-dunya. If you say, “I don’t know what to pray for. I’ll ask the shaykh to pray for me. I will sleep today. He is up, let him ask.” He asks but Allah (swt) likes you to ask, so you say, Rabbana atina fi ‘d-dunya. O Rabbee. “Give us,” also includes your wife, your children, your neighbors, your cousins, your family. That is why Allah (swt) uses the plural form in the du`a, not only you. Don’t say, “Only me, me, me. Yaa Rabbee, it’s only me. I don’t care about anybody. I care only about myself. Me here and in Akhirah, me too. I go to Jannah and everybody goes to Hell. I don’t care,” as they say nowadays.

They curse others. They ask bad things for others. “Yaa Rabbee. You know my neighbor, take care of him. Burn his house down.” Why do you ask this? They do. “Give him a disease or an illness. Take him away.” Why do you do that, O insaan? No, “Yaa Rabbee. O our Lord, atina, give us.” Always use that form and include your family with you, and include your brothers and sisters and parents and cousins--immediate and extended family. Include the Ummah with you.

Include the Ummah that has not accepted the message yet. That invitation has been extended. The RSVP is there. Inshaa-Allah, in due time they can look at the mail that has come to them and ar-risalah, the message and inshaa-Allah, they can accept. May Allah (swt) give them hidayah.

Wa min Allahi 't-tawfeeq, bi hurmati 'l-habeeb, bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah.
