A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani ‘r-rajeem. Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim.
(Suhbah in progress)...we want to make people happy, not fearful. Allah will give mu’min and Muslims Paradise for coming to masaajid, that is for sure, but there is still a big question mark. May Allah (swt) forgive us. When your ajal comes, it is finished, there is no way to stretch it more or less; no one can change it, what is written is written. If you are meant to live for a certain amount of time, that is how much you will live.
Rajab is Allah's month, Sha`baan is my month and Ramadan is the month of my Ummah.
(Abul-Fath ibn Abi Fawaris in his `Amalee from al-Hasan)
In Rajab, Allah (swt) orders angels to write only hasanaat, as Awliyaullah say, they don’t count sayyi`aat, only hasanaat, they write whatever good you have done, not the bad. That’s why Allah said, “Rajabun shahrullah.” No one can say anything about the month that belongs to Allah (swt), as no one has any right to interfere, not even angels. They do not write the deeds of Bani Adam, but by Kunfaya kun, Allah (swt) Himself gives hasanaat to Ummatun Nabi (s) as long as they are on the Right Way.
Wa Shabaan shahree, “Shabaan is my month,” means anything you do in that month, Prophet (s) will present you to the Divine Presence or he will make istighfaar on your behalf, because you are remembering him in his month. There are many good tidings for Muslims who observe the month of Shabaan in which there is one night, Laylat al-Bara’ah, the Night of Innocence, when Allah will erase all sins. He bestows Himself on the First Paradise, sending mercy to everyone who is remembering Him and His Prophet (s) especially on that night.
Also in that night, Allah will show His Prophet and angels what will happen in the coming year, everything will be known. Awliyaullah look at that night, when everything on Lawh al-Mahfooz appears for the benefit of the Ummah. Those who can see are prophets, angels, and those whom Allah is happy with from human beings, Awliyaullah can see. Allah didn’t put the Lawh al-Mahfooz to veil it from you, He wants you to see.
May He dress us with that night! No one on that night can wear a dress that is not applicable. So when Prophet (s) says, “Sha`baan shahree,” it means he will prepare you to be in the circle with Awliyaullah and they will guide you:
أَطِيعُواْ اللّهَ وَأَطِيعُواْ الرَّسُولَ وَأُوْلِي الأَمْرِ مِنكُمْ
Obey Allah, obey the Prophet, and obey those in authority among you. (Surat an-Nisaa, 4:59)
Obey their guidance and they will take you to Bahr al-Amaan, the Shore of Safety. Allah made Sayyidina Musa (a) go to Khidr (a) for guidance. Sayyidina Musa (a) is from the Oolu ‘l-Azham , the Five Highest Prophets, and yet Allah sent him not lowering his level, but to see what Khidr (a) has:
فَوَجَدَا عَبْدًا مِّنْ عِبَادِنَا آتَيْنَاهُ رَحْمَةً مِنْ عِندِنَا وَعَلَّمْنَاهُ مِن لَّدُنَّا عِلْمًا
So they found one of Our Servants on whom We had bestowed Mercy from Ourselves and whom We had taught knowledge from Our Own Presence. (Surat al-Kahf, 18:65)
“If we need to be taught from Heavenly Knowledge, follow a guide.” You cannot go from here in Maryland to Washington DC without a guide, so how can you go from here to Heavens without one? You need a guide. Prophet (s) said:
My Companions are like stars (on a dark night); whichever of them you follow, you will be guided.
(`Abd ibn Humayd, ad-Daraqutnee, ibn `Adiyy, ibn `Abd al-Barr, with unsound chains but the meaning is sound.)
It means you follow one of them who knows just one Hadith and that is enough to take you to Paradise! The Hadith of Prophet guides the whole Ummah and to read it is happiness, because it sends everyone to Paradise!
[Allah said to the Prophet], I sit with him who remembers Me. (Hadith Qudsi. Ahmad, Bayhaqi)
So the best thing to do is to remember Allah (swt) and He will be with us, not literally sitting with us, but He sends His Mercy on us. Prophet (s) will take you, as Allah (swt) said:
وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ إِذ ظَّلَمُواْ أَنفُسَهُمْ جَآؤُوكَ فَاسْتَغْفَرُواْ اللّهَ وَاسْتَغْفَرَ لَهُمُ الرَّسُولُ لَوَجَدُواْ اللّهَ تَوَّابًا رَّحِيمًا
If they had only, when they were unjust (oppressor) to themselves, come to you and asked Allah's forgiveness, and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah indeed Oft-Returning, Most Merciful. (Surat an-Nisaa, 4:64)
It is Allah’s Order: He didn’t say, “Come to Me,” He said, “They come to you (Prophet).” Do you know why? Because you are not pure yet to reach that Presence; that’s why you go to your Prophet (s) and he prepares you to reach Hadrat al-Haqq. You cannot pray if there is dirt on the carpet, you have to remove the dirt for the prayer to be accepted. Our hearts are dirty, mixed with rubbish: that one speaks bad about this one, that one curses this one. Our hearts are full of many sins and Allah said, Wa law annahum idh zhalamoo anfusahum jaa’ooka, “When they are oppressors to themselves they come to you,” to do what? “F’astagfarallah in your presence, yaa Muhammad (s).”
So when someone comes to Allah and asks for shafa`ah from Prophet (s), for sure he is relieved from his sins. “F'astaghfarullaha jaa’ooka, they come to you and make istighfaar.” Who will bless him at that time? They will find Allah bestowed His Mercy on them. In another reading there is a waqf, thus meaning, “they find Allah.”
[Arabic du`a.] Difficult days will soon come on Earth. Awliyaullah are on the night shift now awaiting Laylat al-Bara’ah, very concerned about what Allah has ordered to happen, which is not something relaxing, it is horrible. We are in a time that is dangerous. Many of Prophet’s Hadith explained the timeframe we are in now, a`lamaat as-sa`ah, as, “Wherever you direct your face you will see chunks of dark nights.” You cannot see. Ibn `Arabi (q) said in the big war the Hour will not arise until there is a huge fight, wa da`wahuma waahidah.
Prophet (s) said 1400 years ago, “Both their claims will be the same and they will fight.” Ibn `Arabi (q) said, “These days are coming and from every seven, six will die and one will stay. Those who stay will step on dead bodies (that will fill the streets).” How did Prophet (s) know that? If a nuclear war happens, this is what Prophet (s) said. We have to be serious now, not relaxed. We must be more strict about what we and our children, wife or husband are doing. We have to care. Even Allah can make it happen without war.
By al-`Asr (the time)! Verily, Mankind is in loss, except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and exhorted each other to truth and exhorted each other to patience. (Surat al-`Asr, 103:1-3)
He can or cannot? He can! I’m not saying these things to frighten you, but to make sure you are on the right track. If we are exiting from the right way, let us quickly return and make istighfaar.
Wa law annahum idh zhalamoo anfusahum jaa’ooka f ’astaghfaroollaaha w ’astaghfarallahumu ‘r-rasoolu la-wajadoo ’Llaaha tawwaaba ‘r-raheema: there you will find safety, He will send forgiveness and mercy on you. May Allah send mercy and forgiveness on us as the ayah says. If we can memorize it and recite it 100 times a day, it will give us protection and balance in our `amal, it will throw the bad `amal in Hellfire and send the good `amal to Paradise.
Awliyaullah are busy these days because there are too many issues they have to present to Prophet (s). Don’t think that Prophet (s) is not with us! Allah’s Words are with us for all times, and applied 1400 years ago as much as today. Allah (swt) is saying people will come to Prophet (s) and if we want Him to forgive us, we must come to Prophet (s). We are seeking Your guidance. [Arabic du`a.]
There are two words that are very easy to say, yet very heavy on the Scale, most beloved to The Merciful, “SubhaanAllah wa bihamdihi subhaanAllahi ’l-`Azheem.” (Bukhari and Muslim)
Awliyaullah say when Malak al-Mawt, the Angel of Death (a) comes to take the mu’min soul he will show him his hand and the mu’min will see ‘Allah’ written on there, then immediately that soul doesn’t look at anyone and runs to reach that hand, which means your Jannah is open for you. They take the soul of the mu’min to Paradise, that’s why the soul is jumping immediately to go. Alhamdulillah we are lucky that Allah created us from Ummat an-Nabi, which requires our thanks!
If you thank Me, I will give you more. (Surah Ibraaheem, 14:7)
Call on Me, I will answer you. (Surah Ghafir, 40:60)
If you don’t get it here, you get it there. It is better to get it there, it will be safer for you. In dunya you might lose it, but in Akhirah you won’t. May Allah guide everyone to the way of Islam, Shari`ah and mahabbat Allah. [Arabic du`a.] Wa min Allahi 't-tawfeeq, bi hurmati 'l-habeeb, bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah.
