The Secrets of Shahadah

Shaykh Hisham Kabbani

17 November 2020 Fenton Zawiya, Michigan

[Suhbah in progress.] ...narrating to us the secrets of the Holy Qur'an by which this created universe moves. The secrets of Holy Qur'an are a big thing. All of the types of knowledge and the sciences are subsumed under it.

Question: So Sayyidi, will all the sciences of Holy Qur'an be opened up in the time of Sayyidina al-Mahdi (a)?

They are being opened now for the Awliyaullah, and for the whole Ummah, shukr alhamdulillah to whom has guided us to this, for we would never have been guided if Allah had not guided us. Glory, thanks and praise be to Allah who made us Muslims. Had we not been Muslims—had we been Christians—we would not have benefited from all of this.

The blessing of the Holy Qur'an is the first step in Islam. Allah gave us the strength to make that step and He (swt) has forbidden us (from sinning) by means of the greatest primordial disposition, fitrah. By His Speech, may Allah bless Sayyidina Muhammad (s), and his Family, and give us the strength of faith through the Testimony of Faith, Kalimat ash-Shahadah. Secrets of the Holy Qur'an are all placed inside the Testimony of Faith, that, "There is no God but Allah, the One God, and Muhammad is the Messenger of the One God."

Upon and with that word we live and die, and meet Allah.

Question: So if someone recites Kalimat ash-Shahadah, is it as if Allah has given them all the secrets of the Holy Qur'an?

This is correct. Shukr alhamdulillah, I gave a suhbah on this subject from my place here about the powers of Holy Qur'an and La ilaha illa-Llah.

There is nothing found in Kalimat ash-Shahadah except magnificence and greatness, that The All-Magnificent is Allah, The Almighty and All-Glorious! So everything great and magnificent comes with the power of Holy Qur'an in Kalimat ash-Shahadah. Thus, the mureed is brought before Mahdi (a) by its power of and by invoking blessings upon the Prophet (s).

"Two words that are light on the tongue but heavy on the Scale are: 'SubhanAllah wa bi-hamdihi subhanallahi 'l-`Azheem. May Allah be glorified and exalted and praised, Allah The Magnificent. Istaghfirullah, I ask forgiveness from Allah.'"

Upon that we live and upon that we die and upon that we meet Allah!

Question: If I understand well, if someone reaches death and recites Kalimat ash-Shahadah, they die a martyr. Is that correct?

Yes, that is correct.
