(Translated from Arabic)

As-salaamu `alaykum. The Far East countries are the best Heaven on Earth. May Allah rest the soul of Raja Ashman in peace.

As-salaamu `alaykum, and peace be on our Prophet (s). I would like to thank the ones responsible for this mosque as they have given me the opportunity to speak for even a few minutes about the Prophet (s). Thanks to you and to Allah, for those who have a put great effort into this mosque, this house of Allah (swt), and gave us the opportunity to speak highly of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (s)!

Love of Prophet (s) and his family and friends. In Arabic, the word “love” is comprised of two letters, ‘al-Ha’ for ‘Hayaat,’ which means ‘life,’ and ‘al-Baa’ for ‘Eternity,’ Eternal Life in Paradise. Love of Prophet (s) iand his knowledge is a big ocean that no human can dive in. The highest level of love has been described by Allah (swt), when He says in Holy Qur’an:

إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا

Inna-Llaaha wa malaa'ikatahu yusalloona `ala 'n-nabiyy, yaa ayyuha ’Lladheena aamanoo salloo `alayhi wa sallimoo tasleema.

Verily, Allah and His angels send praise on the Prophet. O Believers! Pray upon him and greet him. (Surat al-Ahzaab, 33:56)

The explanation of some scholars and pious people of this holy verse is that Allah (swt) ordered each angel to pray a different prayer upon Prophet (s) every moment, which they are doing, and it shows how much Allah raised Prophet (s) to the highest maqaam.

Prophet (s) loves his nation and will never leave them, and he wanted Allah to give something special to to them, so on the Last Day, he will ask Allah to grant him intercession on behalf of his ummah! A Holy Hadith says the Prophet (s) will prostrate on the Day of Judgment, pray, and then Allah (swt) will ask him to raise his head, and will promise Prophet (s) that his prayers will be accepted. Prophet (s) will ask Allah that his nation be granted to enter Paradise, and Allah will let one third of the nation into Paradise. And then Prophet (s) will prostrate again, pray prayers he has never prayed before, and Allah will ask him what he wants. Then Prophet (s) will say, “Ummati, ummati! My nation, my nation!” and then Allah will take the entire nation of Prophet (s) to Paradise except one person, about which Allah (swt) will say, “With my Mercy, you too shall enter Paradise!” The entire nation of Prophet (s) will enter Paradise with his intercession and the Mercy of Allah!

Prophet’s (s) life is a mercy for humanity. It is all out of love of Prophet to his ummah and the love of Allah to Prophet (s). Look at the love of Prophet (s) to you! Prophet (s) loves you more...in hadith Prophet (s) said, “I miss my brothers.” So his Companions asked, “Are we not your brothers, O Prophet?” Prophet said, “No, you are my friends, but my brothers are those who believed in me and loved me without seeing me!” Prophet (s) meant our ummah now: Allah (swt), from His Generosty, made us brothers and sisters of Prophet (s) because we believe in him without seeing him!

Prophet (s) asked the Sahaabah (r), “Who has the highest faith?” They said, “The angels.” Prophet (s) said, “How can they not have strong faith when they see Allah and Paradise?” Again Prophet (s) asked, “Who has the highest faith?” The Sahaabah said, “It is the Sahaabah,” and Prophet (s) said, “How can you not have strong faith when you see me? Who has the highest faith is the ummah of the Last Days, because they believe in Prophet (s) without seeing him and they live in a time of difficulty and fitna.”

Now look at the youth of our ummah, how they are holding onto the Religion of Allah (swt) and Prophet (s) and how Allah has honored us with Islam and imaan!

Sayyidina Musa (a) was always travelling and this story is mentioned in several books. While Sayyidina Musa (a) travelled the lands of Allah (swt), he passed by a mountain in which he saw a cave and heard the voice of a man doing dhikrullah. Sayyidina Musa (a) came closer to the cave and heard a man say, “Thanks and praise to Allah for making me better than many of His Creation!” Sayyidina Musa (a) saw the man in prostration thanking Allah (swt) and noticed he had no arms or legs, only a head and torso! Then Sayyidina Musa (a) saw a deer coming to the cave and give the man milk to drink.

Sayyidina Musa (a) came closer to the man and asked, “Why do you say Allah has honored you over many of His Creation when you don't have arms or legs?”

The man said, “Allah has honored me by making me one of the nation of His Prophet (s), who will come and spread Islam!”

So in every moment we have to thank Allah for making us Muslims and making us follow His Shari`ah and to be a moderate nation on the middle way, with no deviation right or left! So what is our duty in front of our Lord (swt) and our Prophet (s)? Prophet (s) said:

انما بعثت لاتمم مكارم الاخلاق

Innamaa bu`ithtu li utammimu makaarim al-akhlaaq.

I have been sent to perfect the best of conduct (your behavior and character). (Bazzaar)

Prophet (s) will change our characters from bad to good so that we have no anger or jealousy, and he wants to teach us that our ego is not to be trusted. So Prophet (s) asked Allah (swt):

اللهم لاتكلني الى نفسي طرفة عين ولا أقل من ذلك

Allahumma laa takilnee ila nafsee tarfat `aynin wa laa aqala min dhaalika.

O Allah! Don't leave me to my ego for the blink of an eye or less.

“O Allah! Don’t allow my ego to control me!” Therefore, he reached the Station of Ihsaan, Perfection. Prophet (s) said he wants a nation that is modest and kind, that speaks and deals with mercy, not anger and hate! He (s) said, “You are the best ummah Allah created!”

We pray to Allah (swt) to make us modest through our Love of Allah (swt), love of Prophet (s), the Sahaabah (r), the Four Righteous Imams of Islam (r), and all awliyaullah! O Allah, please accept from us!

Fatihah.

Wa min Allahi 't-tawfeeq, bi hurmati 'l-habeeb, bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah.
