The saints of Egypt, al-Awtaad. Is it not like this? There are saints there but they never stand up to support that nation. If the people’s actions were purely for Allah (swt), in one hour all (their troubles) would end. But the objective of the Egyptian nation is this world: they want this world, they are not asking for the Hereafter, or asking for Allah (swt). No! Therefore, let them eat one another! Otherwise, it would be easy for awliyaullah to make everything stop, but they are not interfering nor even supporting the Egyptian people. And that is because they are asking for this world, to be leaders and to satisfy all their egoistic desires.
This is their objective; the mosques are empty! I heard there are twenty-million people in Cairo, and how many mosques, a thousand? Even if there are a thousand mosques, that is not enough. In every alley there are coffee shops and entertainment parks that distract them from worshipping their Lord. People there run after dunya to satisfy their egoistic desires. They do not worry about mosques, prayers or dhikr. How many centers are there to entertain twenty million people? There must be at least 100,000 entertainment places, where people gather and get drunk. They eat and drink, and they backbite each other, and they swear at each other. There are no places for them to learn the Holy Qur’an. Whomever does not listen to recitation of the Holy Qur’an in their homes, their home is cursed! But now they follow the new fashion, dressing up on “New Year’s Eve” to show off. How can the heavenly people support them, to increase their corruption? A`oodhu billah!
Therefore, the matters of Egypt are not easy. In Egypt, Iraq, Sham, Yemen, Libya, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, the Turks, India, Iran and Sudan, this is the cause. Let their scholars observe our words. Their scholars are arrogant and proud, thinking they are something and yet they have nothing to even support a fly! From among those millions, if even one of them was sincere in his faith, he could lead his nation! Moses (a) pulled behind him all the Children of Israel by himself! Allah (swt) opened the sea for them and they passed through it! The others were people for this world and they were for the Hereafter.
May Allah (swt) forgive us and may He send mercy on us. Egypt runs after new fashions of the New Year, saying, “We want money!” Seventy of Qaroon's treasures would not be enough for them! Allah (swt) knows best our situation.
Wa maa khalaqtu‘l-jinna wa ’l-insa illa li-y`abudoo maa ureedoo minhum min rizqin wa maa ureedoo an yut`imoon.
I have only created jinn and men so that they may worship Me. No sustenance do I require of them, nor do I require that they should feed Me. (Surat adh-Dhariyat, 51:56-57)
They should know this, not to run after this world. They must learn the truth of their creation and life on Earth, “And I have not created jinn and men except that they should worship Me!” Tawbah yaa Rabbee, tawbah yaa Rabbee!
There is at least one saint in Egypt whom, were his name mentioned, for his sake the whole world would tremble! The world is not empty (of mercy, bounty), but you reap what you sow. That is the cause of their problems: bad actions. They work for Shaytan and he rewards them with troubles. Madad yaa Sayyidin al-Sultan! Tawbah yaa Rabbee, tawbah astaghfirullah. Allahuma ahdina fi man hadayt. Yaa Rabbee, yaa Allah!
Fatihah.
The worst of people are those who follow their egos and desires. People are following their whims, and each one likes his individual opinion and greediness followed everywhere, so keep yourselves (beware) as this is it; otherwise, this is their punishment. Prophets (a) came to guide people to their Lord, to turn their focus from this world to their Lord, but those people are running after this world. There is no way out. There is not! Astaghfirullah, tawbah yaa Rabbee! O Lord! Guide to the right way!
إِذْ قَالُواْ لِنَبِيٍّ لَّهُمُ ابْعَثْ لَنَا مَلِكًا نُّقَاتِلْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللّهِ
Idh qaaloo li-nabiyyin lahum ab`ath lanaa malikan nuqaatil fee sabeelillah.
Appoint to us a king so we may fight in Allah's Way. (al-Baqarah 2:246)
Prophet (s) said first and foremost about our egos:
رجعنا من الجهاد الاصغر الى الجهاد الاكبر
raji`naa min al-jihaad al-asghar ila’l-jihaad al-akbar.
We came back from the smaller jihad to the greater one." They asked, "What is that, O Rasoolullah?" He said, "The battle of the ego." We returned from the smaller jihad to the greater jihad. (al-Bayhaqi)
The smaller jihad is known to the Muslim world. There is no greater jihad, because everyone is following their desires! Amaan yaa Rabbee, tawbah astaghfirullah, astaghfirullah, astaghfirullah. O our Lord! Correct our steps and make our final destination a good one and send us someone to guide us! Allah, Allah. Amaan yaa Rabbee.
Fatihah.
