When the Lord sees His servant is happy, He (swt) is never angry with him, so they should be happy with the Lord's mercy! Inshaa-Allah we are not among those whose names are written as miserable ones, disobedient ones or sinners, inshaa-Allah we are forgiven. Yaa Rabbee, forgive us!
Allah (swt) loves that His servants are happy. The state of happiness, is accepted by Rasoolullah (s) and his Companions (r). For Allah's Mercy they should be happy. Does Allah laugh or cry? (He laughs but does not cry, hasha!) It is a sign of Greatness from the Divine Attribute, “al-Haqq.”
وَأَنَّهُ هُوَ أَضْحَكَ وَأَبْكَى
Wa annahu huwa adhaka wa abkaa.
And it is He Who causes laughter and causes weeping. (an-Najm, 53:43)
Crying is the sign of destruction, but laughter is fit for Allah Almighty. When the Almighty sees that His servants are laughing He is happy, but when they are crying He doesn't like it. They are permitted to cry about their sins. The measure of our sins compared to the ocean of His Mercy is nothing! He is our Lord (swt) ands alhamdulillah, we are His servants. SubhaanAllah!
قُلْ بِفَضْلِ اللّهِ وَبِرَحْمَتِهِ فَبِذَلِكَ فَلْيَفْرَحُواْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِّمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ
Qul bi-fadlillaahi wa bi rahmatihi fa-bidhaalika fa 'l-yafrahoo huwa khayrun mimmaa yajma`oon.
Say, "In the bounty of Allah and in His Mercy, in that let them rejoice that is better than the (wealth) they hoard.” (al-Anbiya, 10:58)
“Let them rejoice:” fa ’l-yafrahoo is one word and it is an order! Allah (swt) says, “fa ’l-yafrahoo,” so be happy within the limits of adab.
In Islam, is there a murshid (guide)? What do the scholars say?
مَن يَهْدِ اللَّهُ فَهُوَ الْمُهْتَدِي وَمَن يُضْلِلْ فَلَن تَجِدَ لَهُ وَلِيًّا مُّرْشِدًا
Man yahdillahu fa-huw’ al-muhtadi wa man yudlil falan tajida lahu waliyyan murshidan.
He whom Allah guides is rightly guided, but he whom Allah leaves to stray, for him you will not find a protector to lead him to the Right Way. (al-Kahf, 18:17)
That's it: they gave me a sign last night for those who are not accepting a murshid, a rightly guided one. “Murshidan” is one word and it is enough, meaning that for every human being there must be a guide. The one who does not have a guide, this is a sign that he has gone astray. [It means:] “The one who is guided by Allah is truly guided and who has gone astray cannot find a saint to guide him.”
SubhaanAllah, the Holy Qur'an! How do they deny the rightly guided ones? Allah (swt) says, “For every human being there must be a guide to guide them,” because the rightly-guided one is like the sun. "Waliyyan murshidan" means the attributes of the murshid must be of a saintly station. Not just anyone can be a guide. The nation now is denying everything in the Holy Qur'an, which says for every servant there must be a saintly guide, waliyyan murshidan.
وَالْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاء وَالْوِلْدَانِ الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْ هَـذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ الظَّالِمِ أَهْلُهَا وَاجْعَل لَّنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيًّا وَاجْعَل لَّنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ نَصِيرًا
wa ’l-mustad`afeena mina ’l-rijaali wa ’n-nisaa’i wa ’l-wildaani alladheena yaqooloona rabbanaa akhrijnaa min haadhihi ’l-qaryati al-zhaalimi ahluhaa wa ’j`al lanaa min ladunka waliyyan. wa ’j`al lanaa min ladunka naseera.
And for those weak, ill-treated and oppressed among men, women, and children whose cry is, "Our Lord! Rescue us from this town whose people are oppressors and raise for us from You one who will protect, and raise for us from You one who will help." (an-Nisaa, 4:75)
وَقُل رَّبِّ أَدْخِلْنِي مُدْخَلَ صِدْقٍ وَأَخْرِجْنِي مُخْرَجَ صِدْقٍ وَاجْعَل لِّي مِن لَّدُنكَ سُلْطَانًا نَّصِيرًا
Wa qul rabbee ’dkhilni mudkhala sidqin wa akhrijnee mukhraja sidqin wa aj`al lee min ladunka sultaanan naseeran.
And say, “O my Lord! Let my entry be by the Gate of Truth and Honor, and likewise my exit by the Gate of Truth and Honor, and grant me from Your Presence an authority to aid (me).” (al-’Israa,17:80)
Without a saintly guided one, waliyan murshidan, there cannot be victory. That word, subhaanAllah, can change the whole world altogether. Laa ilaaha illa-Llah Muhammadan Rasoolullah (s)! We understand, actually I am ashamed to say “I understand.” Make us understand! O Lord, I am ashamed to ask, because a saintly servant is sufficient 1000 times to make us understand, to save the servant by means of the light of his sainthood. The servant is in darkness and the wali is like the sun. We understand. I am ashamed to say “I understand.” One saint can make us understand. So why ask from the Lord? But it is to magnify our Lord, Allah (swt), it is permitted, in order not to forget our Lord. First manify Him (swt) when addressing Him.
Yaa Rabbee! Grant me some strength to be victorious on the enemies: apparent and hidden. Sadaqa Allahu ‘l-`Azheem, SubhaanAllah! The People of the Cave, what did they say? They prayed:
إِذْ أَوَى الْفِتْيَةُ إِلَى الْكَهْفِ فَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا آتِنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدًا
Idh awaa ’l-fityatu ila ’l-kahfi fa-qaaloo rabbanaa aatinaa min ladunka rahmatan wa hayyi lanaa min amrinaa rashada.
Behold, the youths betook themselves to the Cave. They said, "Our Lord! bestow on us mercy from You, and dispose of our affair for us in the right way!" (al-Kahf, 18:10)
This always comes to my heart. Allah also inspired them to ask, wa aj`al lee min ladunka sultaanan naseeran, "Grant me from You a power favored (by You)." It has so much power, because every person must be able to get out from any difficult situation by saying “rabbanaa aatinaa min ladunka rahmatan wa hayyi lanaa min amrinaa rashada.
“Rashada” is from ar-rushd, for guidance. Allah said:
الَيْسَ مِنكُمْ رَجُلٌ رَّشِيدٌ
Alaysa minkum rajulun rasheed.
Is there not among you a single right-minded man? (Hud, 11:78)
Therefore, the one who used to say to Pharaoh and his nation:
وَمَا أَمْرُ فِرْعَوْنَ بِرَشِيدٍ
...wa maa amru fir`awna bi-rasheed.
...and the command of Pharaoh was no right guide. (Hud, 11:97)
Allah bless you ya Shaykh. The person is happy when he consults a person who is authorized, someone who understands. He mashaa-Allah is swimming in the ocean and we are on the shore, we are looking at what the Qari brings, (from afar) and the Qari Abdur Rahman brings from here and there. Allah bless you and increase you in knowledge and insha-Allah you will recite before the presence of the Prophet (s). Insha-Allah you will recite in the time of Mahdi (as) and he will be happy. At that time pray for me.
Allah Almighty may grant us happiness, which is coming soon as victory is at the doors! May Allah open for you and forgive us.
Don't blame us (for mistakes in Arabic) because you are Arabs and we are not.
