Ati`oollaha wa ati`oo 'r-Rasoola wa ooli 'l-amri minkum.
Obey Allah, obey the Prophet, and obey those in authority among you. (4:59)
As-salaamu `alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh.
We wish to listen to qasidas, as they are better than my words. We ask Habib Shaykh, the Noble of Nobles, to entertain us with his beautiful qasidas in the love of our Beloved Muhammad Mustafa (s), and with the manifestations with which Allah (swt) has dressed him. He is beautiful with the beauty of Prophet (s), pious for the piety of Prophet (s), and great from the Greatness with which Allah (swt) has dressed him. Good tidings to the ones who are with him, as he is from the lovers of Prophet (s)! We ask from Allah (swt) that He make us from the lovers of the Prophet (s), and from the lovers of Habib Shaykh, the Shaykh of Shaykhs for the iridescent, pure laser Light that manifests itself with his qasidas to all brothers and sisters!
Bushraa lanaa Yaa ma`ashara al-insaani inna lanaa min al-inayati ruknun ghayri munhadimi. Good tidings to us, O People of Islam (and to all mankind and all creation)! Verily we have from Allah’s Care a pillar that can never be destroyed!” Islam, mankind and creation are all different from one another: Islam, the religion, is different from mankind, insaan, and mankind is different from creation, khalq. Every one of them has a meaning, and the highest meaning of “al-khalq” indicates the Light of Muhammad (s). I don’t read much, nor am I a scholar, but I wish to be at the threshold of Prophet (s)!
Yaa Sayyidee! Yaa Rasoolullah!
Look upon us, Yaa Rasoolullah! Yaa Habeebullah!
A gaze from you to us that will heal our hearts!
A gaze from you to us that will heal our thirst!
A gaze from you to us, to guide us to the Truth and to the Straight Path!
Yaa Rasoolullah! You loved your Companions (r) and said to them, “You are my Companions, but there will come a people after me who will believe in me even though they did not see me; those are my brothers.” Yaa Allah! Make us to be from the “brothers” of our Beloved, Muhammad al-Mustafa (s)!
Yaa Sayyidee! Yaa Rasoolullah! We beg you! Do not leave us to the states of our egos, but manifest upon us with the Light of Allah (swt) that He manifested upon you! You are the Light of Existence, of all Creation! You are everything outside Allah’s Divine Self, Yaa Sayyidee! Yaa Habeebullah! You are the one to whom Allah (swt) has given everything of creation from His Light. Look at us, as even one glance of your Light is enough to illuminate this whole world!
Yaa Sayyidee! Yaa Rasoolullah! As the sun shines and the moon reflects its Light, you are the Light within us that is reflecting to us your love, and the Light of your passion, and the Light of your manifestations, and the Light that filled up this world with appearances, and the universes with existence, and the heavens and earths with clear Truth!
Yaa Sayyidee! Yaa Rasoolullah! You are the one about whom Allah said, “Be!” and you were. Allah created you and your Light before He guided and created creation. Yaa Sayyidee! Yaa Rasoolullah! Yaa Rahmatan li’l-`Alameen! The kaaf in the word “kun” is indicating the Hidden Treasure, about which Allah (swt) said:
كنت كنزا مخفياً فأحببت أن أعرف فخلقت الخلق
Kuntu kanzan makhfiyyan fa ahbabtuhu an u`rafa fa khalaqtu ‘l-khalq.
I was a Hidden Treasure (and) I wanted to be known, so I created Creation. (Hadith Qudsi)
Yaa Sayyidee! Yaa Rasoolullah! You are that Treasure! Allah does not need treasure as there is nothing whatsoever that compares to Him, so it is impossible that we describe Him as being a Treasure. Hence, that Treasure is you, Yaa Sayyidee! The command is between the two letters, kaaf and noon in the word kun, “Be.” The kaaf is that treasure of Lights that Allah (swt) made as a dress for His Prophet, and the noon is the Light of Muhammad (s) that Allah created before He created anything. So His command is between the kaaf and the noon. It means His Will appeared, so the Treasure was sent forth to the Light of Muhammad (s), and all creation in heavens and earth came into existence.
Allah, Allah! Yaa Allah! Yaa Allah! Yaa Allah! O Lord! We beg you from here, from this place, for You said, as Your Speech is Truth:
لَّهُ نُورُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ
Allaahu nooru 's-samaawaati wa 'l-ardi
Allah is the Light of the Heavens and Earth. (Surat an-Noor, 24:35)
Truly You are that Light, and from that Light emerged the Light of Muhammad (s), and thus, the earths and heavens came into existence, as Prophet (s) said in a Holy Hadith:
ما وسعني أرضي ولا سمائي ولكن وسعني قلب عبدي المؤمن
Maa wasi`anee ardee wa laa samaa'ee wa laakin wasi`anee qalbi `abdee al-mu'min.
Neither My Heavens nor My Earth contain Me, but the heart of My believing servant contains Me. (Hadith Qudsi, Al-Ihyaa of Imam al-Ghazali)
So the heavens and the earths cannot contain the Light of Allah (swt); however, what can contain it is the Light of the Prophet (s) that can encompass the earths and the heavens, and for this reason all the worry of the Prophet (s) went into making the hearts of his Companions thrones for the Lights and Manifestations of his Lord! What Allah (swt) granted to His Prophet (s) was to grasp a handful of His Light and say to it, “Be Muhammad!”
O Muhammad! O Sayyidee, my Master! Yaa Rasoolullah! Manifest upon us with the manifestations of your Lights that were manifested upon you from Allah (swt) so you can reach us in every moment and every time! When Allah created the Light of Muhammad (s), everything came into existence because he is the Mirror of the Divine Presence, because he is the Mirror of reality that reflects from it everything that was present on the Day of Promises, when Allah (swt) said, “Am I not your Lord?” and the gathered souls answered, “Verily, you are!” It reflected from the mirror of the Prophet (s), so it came into existence by means of the mirror of the Prophet. So he is the Mirror of the Truth (swt) and now we are here as images while our realities are in the Divine Presence!
So the Divine Presence is the Presence of Realities and the saints of Allah (swt) are the ones that connected between their images and their realities so when the person’s image and his reality are superimposed one on the other, then that person became a saint. So if we want to be a saint of Allah Almighty, we must superimpose the reality on the image; we have to put our image into our reality. At that time, it will become as the Prophet (s) said in a Hadith Qudsi:
ولا يزال عبدي يتقرب إلي بالنوافل حتى أحبه، فإذا أحببته كنت سمعه الذي يسمع به وبصره الذي يبصر به، ويده التي يبطش بها ورجله التي يمشي بها،
My servant continues to approach Me until I love him, and if I love him, I become the eyes that he sees with, and the ears that he hears with, and the tongue with which he speaks, and the hands with which he senses, and the legs with which he walks. If he asks anything, I will grant it to him.
So we ask you, Yaa Allah!
So we ask you, Yaa Allah!
So we ask you, Yaa Allah, to grant us this and to dress us with the Light of Your Prophet, al-Mustafa (s)!
Thousands and thousands of salawaat upon you, Yaa Sayyidee! Yaa Rasoolullah!
Thousands and thousands of salawaat upon you, Yaa Sayyidee! Yaa Habeebullah!
Thousands and thousands of salawaat upon you, O First of Creation! O Seal of Messengers!
Thousands and thousands of salawaat upon you, from Allah to you!
Thousands and thousands of salawaat and Mercy of Allah and His Blessings!
May Allah overflow you with His Manifestations and His Bounty!
And His Holy Lights and the Lights of His Love!
And with the holy angels and His Treasures and His Realities!
And may Allah overflow you with His Essence!
Yaa Sayyidee! Yaa Habeebullah!
O Noble of Nobles!
O Light of all that exists!
O Refuge for anyone who was touched
By difficulties and miseries and pain!
O Closest of Means to Allah Almighty!
O Most Powerful of Support!
O our Beloved! O Messenger of Allah!
Yaa Rasoolullah!
We beg of you from here,
And you hear us and see us,
And you are present with us,
And to you we say,
Yaa Sayyidee! Yaa Rasoolullah!
We say to you, Yaa Rasoolullah! Don’t leave us to the states of our egos, not even for a moment! You said, “Yaa Allah! Don’t leave me to my ego for the blink of an eye or even less than that.” If you said that, then what are we obliged to say? We are helpless! We are a group of people that has no power, nor strength except by your means to present us to the Divine Presence of Allah Almighty, pure and purified, as He said in Holy Qur’an:
أَلا إِنَّ أَوْلِيَاء اللّهِ لاَ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
Alaa inna awliyaaullaahi laa khawfun `alayhim wa laa hum yahzanoon.
Behold! Verily on the friends of Allah there is no fear, nor shall they grieve. (Surat al-Yunus, 10:62)
Yaa Sayyidee! Yaa Rasoolullah!
You are the Ship of Safety!
You are the Safety!
You are the Rescuer!
You are the Rich One
Enriched with Allah Almighty’s Beneficence,
So your richness is from the Light of Allah Almighty’s Richness!
O my Lord, Yaa Allah!
Enrich us with what You have permitted,
Rather than what You have prohibited,
And with our obedience to You, not our defiance of You.
And by means of Your Favor,
Enrich us to be free from all that is other than You!
O Lord of Honor, Might and Omnipotence! Yaa Sayyidee! Yaa Rasoolullah! Allah Almighty called your reality, “YaaSeen.” It means “yaa” is not only a letter followed by the letter “seen,” but it is “yaaa” with elongation, which becomes a calling, like “O Muhammad!” and “seen” is a description of you, Yaa Rasoolullah! It means, “O Saabiq! O the One Who Precedes! The One Who Opened What was Closed and Who Sealed What had Gone Before!” So you are the beginning of everything that ends and you are the ending of everything! With you a thing begins and with you a thing ends. So you precede every completion and you precede everything that has a day (that ends).
And it is for this the saints say that in every moment there is a new creation being created, and the Prophet (s) is their Messenger from Allah! And in every moment there is a creation that has reached its Day of Judgment, so their deeds are ended and either they reach Hellfire or Paradise!
So you, yaa Rasoolullah, precede all! O Who Precedes, Yaa Saabiq, Yaa Habeebullah! And you are the ending of what came before, Yaa Rasoolullah, so make our ending a happy one by means of you, Yaa Rasoolullah! Let our ending be in the manifestations of your Lights, Yaa Sayyidee! Yaa Rasoolullah! O Beloved of Allah (swt), who never rejects anyone who comes to you and wept at your door, as Allah Almighty says:
وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ إِذ ظَّلَمُواْ أَنفُسَهُمْ جَآؤُوكَ فَاسْتَغْفَرُواْ اللّهَ وَاسْتَغْفَرَ لَهُمُ الرَّسُولُ لَوَجَدُواْ اللّهَ تَوَّابًا رَّحِيمًاِ
Wa law annahum idh zhalamoo anfusahum ja’ooka f ’astaghfaroollaaha w ’astaghfara lahumu ‘r-rasoolu la-wajadoo ’Llaaha tawwaaba ‘r-raheema.
If they had only, when they were unjust to themselves, come to you and asked Allah's forgiveness, and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah indeed Oft-returning, Most Merciful. (Surat an-Nisa, 4:64)
We came to you, yaa Rasoolullah! We say “astaghfirullah” in your presence and you ask for forgiveness on our behalf from our Lord, O our master, O Messenger of Allah, so that He can forgive our huge sins from which absolution is impossible except with your intercession, Yaa Sayyidee! Yaa Rasoolullah!
Muhammad al-Bakri (r), author of Salawaat al-Faatih, wrote, “Yaa Allah! Send salawaat on Muhammad, the Opener of What was Closed, and the Ending of What Came Before.” “The Opener of What was Closed” means whatever was closed, verily His Prophet (s) opens! And when Muhammad al-Bakri was asked, he said, “I did not write this form of salawaat, but Prophet (s) told me what to write in a vision, and this is a form that the Prophet poured forth into my heart, so I wrote it.”
Yaa Allah! Send salawaat on Your Prophet, Muhammad (s), who opened what was closed and who sealed what had gone before! “The Opener of What Was Closed,” means he (s) is the one to whom Allah granted the key to everything closed, and this universe was closed, and these creations were stored in the cave and treasure, where Allah (swt) informed:
كنت كنزا مخفياً فأحببت أن أعرف فخلقت الخلق فبه عرفوني
Kuntu kanzan makhfiyyan fa ahbabtuhu an u`rafa fa khalaqtu ‘l-khalq fa-bihi `arifoonee.
I was a Hidden Treasure (and) I wanted to be known, so I created Creation, and by it they knew Me. (Hadith Qudsi)
“I was a Hidden Treasure and I wanted to be known, so I created creation, and by it they knew Me.”
So these realities were brought out through the creation of Rasoolullah (s) by the Will of his Lord, and it is for this reason they say a huge explosion appeared in the universe, which they call “the Big Bang.” They don’t know that His Command is between the kaaf and the noon, when the letter noon was connected to the letter kaaf, and when the letter kaaf came to connect with the letter noon there was a big explosion between them. His Command is between the kaaf and the noon, and from there this universe appeared. It was the Attraction of The Lover to the Loved One! From Allah (swt) to the Prophet (s), the Lover of ar-Rahman (swt). So when the Will of Allah (swt) became connected to love Rasoolullah (s), when these loves were combined, this universe exploded and all creation came into the existence with the Light of Prophet (s)! And this knowledge has no end although this dunya is ending, while realities are never-ending! So we beg of Allah Almighty to gather us with His Beloved, al-Mustafa (s), in this world and in the Hereafter, and that He gather us with him (s) and:
وَمَن يُطِعِ اللّهَ وَالرَّسُولَ فَأُوْلَـئِكَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَالصِّدِّيقِينَ وَالشُّهَدَاء
وَالصَّالِحِينَ وَحَسُنَ أُولَـئِكَ رَفِيقًا
Wa man yuti`i Allaha wa ‘r-rasoola fa’oolaaika ma` ’Lladheena an`am Allahu `alayhim min an-nabiyyina wa ‘s-siddiqeena wa ‘sh-shuhadaa’ wa ‘s-saaliheena wa hasuna oolaa’ika rafeeqa.
All who obey Allah and the Prophet are in the company of those on whom is the grace of Allah, of the prophets (who teach), the sincere (lovers of Truth), the witnesses (who testify), and the righteous (who do good). Ah, what a beautiful fellowship! (Surat an-Nisaa, 4:69)
I speak these words and I seek forgiveness from Allah (swt) for me and for you, and for all that
seek forgiveness, and what a reward to those who seek forgiveness! Astaghfirullah. And the best arrangements are the Words of Allah (swt), The King, The Teacher, Who said in the Holy Qur’an:
وَالنَّجْمِ إِذَا هَوَى مَا ضَلَّ صَاحِبُكُمْ وَمَا غَوَى وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَى إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحْيٌ يُوحَى
Wa ’n-najmi idhaa hawaa maa dalla saahibukum wa maa ghawaa. Wa maa yantiqu `ani 'l-hawaa in huwa illa wahyun yoohaa.
By the star when it goes down, your companion is neither astray nor being misled, nor does he say (aught) of (his own) desire. It is no less than inspiration sent down to him.
(Surat an-Najm, 53:1-4)
O Possessors of Wisdom! Fear Allah, as He said:
فتقوني يا اولي الالباب
Fatakoonee ya ooli ’l-baab.
So fear Me, O you that are wise. (Surat al-Baqara, 2:197)
If you wish to love Allah (swt), then follow the Beloved, al-Mustafa (s)!
Was-salaamu `alaykum rahmatullahi Ta`ala wa barakaatuh.
