Atee`oollaha wa atee`oo 'r-Rasoola wa ooli 'l-amri minkum.
Obey Allah, obey the Prophet, and obey those in authority among you. (Surat an-Nisa, 4:59)
As-salaamu `alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh.
It is a great honor for me to be here between Habib Shaykh and Habib Lutfi, with the additional great honor to also be between the Chief of Police and the Chief of the Army, and among you all.
I begin by saying Hamd and Salaam on Prophet (s), who was sent as a Mercy on all the Worlds and the Intercessor for Sinners! So our Master, we call on you O Prophet (s), from this place, for you to look at us with the gaze of grace, the gaze of love, with your gaze upon those whom you love! These are your lovers, the lovers of guidance, the lovers of Islam, the lovers of light, light upon Light! O our Master and the Master of all the Worlds! O Mercy for the Worlds! I ask you to pray for us, for I am but a weak man, and I hope that Habib Shaykh and Habib Lutfi, and all of you will pray for me and our beloved ones here, for we want to learn from them how to sing poems that make the hearts happy, and to give speeches like Habib Lutfi, whose speeches make the heart happy, too!
May Allah (swt) bless you, O our Master, O Messenger of Allah (s)!
One of the great scholars and saints of whom all the scholars and everyone knows, even Ibn Taymiyya, whose views differed from Ahl al-Sunnah, said Abu Yazid al-Bistami (q) was one of the great, well-known awliya.
It is related that once Abu Yazid saw his Lord in a vision and said, “O my Lord, how to reach you, what is the door and the key?”
Allah (swt) replied, “Abu Yazid, leave your self and come to Me, and I will open the door!”
Abu Yazid said, “O my Lord, how?”
Allah (swt) said, “Turn yourself into a garbage-heap for My Servants, carry their abuse and harm, and bring happiness to the hearts of My Servants,” because the holy hadith says, “To bring happiness to the heart of a servant is from faith.”
And here we are with the lovers of the Prophet (s), Habib Shaykh and Habib Lutfi, who cause happiness to enter the hearts of the servants. We are between these two qutbs sitting humbly with us, so what a great success for us and for you to be with them!
Allahumma salli `alayk, yaa Muhammad, yaa Rasoolullah! Yaa Allah! May He bless you, O Messenger of Allah, you who said that you were sent only to complete perfect high manners, so complete our high manners!

Innamaa bu`ithtu li utammimu makaarim al-akhlaaq.
I have been sent to perfect the best of conduct (your behavior and character). (Bazzaar)
We hope that you will perfect our manners, yaa Rasoolullah! I will not be long, but wish to briefly explain this hadith. Prophet (s) said, “Verily I was sent only to complete the high character of my ummah.” That means the reason for his coming to us is to perfect the good manners of his ummah, so if he does not complete the good characters then his mission is incomplete, and that is not possible! It means he never leaves any single servant of his ummah except that he completes their character and religion before that servant leaves this world, so that in the grave when the two questioning angels Munkar and Nakeer come to that servant, they will see he has left dunya with sound faith and his excellent character was already completed, as Allah (swt) ordered the Prophet (s) to complete for his ummah.
This is huge good tidings for us, that without tiring ourselves, but just by loving the Prophet (s), he has taken it on himself to perfect us and fix our manners, knowledge and religion, without the hardship of having to accomplish such a task or any other burden upon us, except that we love him and follow the Shari`ah of Allah and His Prophet (s)!
Sayyidina `Ali (r) narrated, “If a servant praises the Prophet (s) with this salawaat I recited, one recitation will be equal to all the salawaat of mankind and angels.” One recitation of this particular salawaat encompasses all of them!
The order to send praise on the Prophet (s) is timeless, endless and binding on every angel ever created and yet to be created: it applies to the past, the present and the future, and also upon us human beings. All the angels are ordered to make endless salawaat on the Prophet (s) and it is an obligation on the nation of the Beloved of Allah. Sayyidina `Ali (r) said this salawaat is:
???????? ????? ????? ????????????? ???????? ????????? ??????? ???????? ??? ????????? ???? ??? ?????????? ???? ??????? ????????? ????????? ????? ?????? ???????????
Salawaatullaahi wa malaa’ikatihi wa anbeeyaaihi wa rusulihi wa jami`ee khalqihi `alaa Muhammadin wa `alaa aali Muhammad `alayhi wa `alayhimu s-salaam wa rahmatullaahi ta`aalaaa wa barakaatuh.
Blessings of Allah Almighty, of His Angels, of His Prophets, of His Messengers, and all Creation be upon Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad; may the Peace and Mercy of Allah Almighty and His Blessings be upon him and upon them!
Prophet (s) said about Sayyidina `Ali (r):
??? ????? ????? ? ??? ????
Anaa madinatu 'l-`ilmi wa `Aliyyun baabuha.
I am the City of Knowledge and `Ali is its Door (or Gate). (al-Haakim, Tirmidhi)
He is the one who knows the secrets of the Prophet (s); he gives us the glad tidings and benefits of praising the Prophet (s). The benefit of that salawaat is, for one (recitation) Allah saves all the rewards of all the salawaat of all creation to give its reward to the servant who recited that salawaat on Judgment Day! That servant will see his place in Heaven with the Beloved Mustafa (s),

ma`a alladheena an`ama Allahu `alayhim min an-nabiyyeena wa ’s-siddeeqeena wa ’sh-shuhadaai wa ’s-saaliheena wa hasuna oolaaika rafeeqa
“with those whom Allah favored from the Prophets, the Siddiqeen, the Martyrs and the Righteous, and what a good company they are!”
I conclude with a question: what are the first and last letters of the Arabic alphabet? ‘Alif’ and ‘Ya.’
All sciences and types of knowledge are brought by the Qur'an, and the language of Paradises is Arabic, and all that is contained within these letters that are in the Qur'an is between the Alif and the Ya, without exception, no more and no less! And the continuous connection between these two letters is in every moment or in even less than a moment! In every atom there is a connection between the Alif and the Ya, and the connection between them is described in this verse:
????????? ????????? ????????? ??? ??????????? ?????? ???? ?????????? ??? ??? ???????? ??????????? ????? ???????? ??? ???????? ?????? ??????????? ????? ??????? ??? ????????? ???????? ????? ?????? ????? ??????? ?????? ??? ??????? ????????
And with Him are the keys of the Unseen; none knows them except Him, and He knows what is on the land and in the sea; not a leaf falls but that He knows it. And no grain is there within the darknesses of the earth and no moist or dry [thing] but that it is [written] in a clear record.
(Surat al-An`am 6:59)
This means every creature, every name, every action is in the Qur’an and cannot be outside the Qur’an, so from the Alif to the Ya, they are connected with these secrets. And the first letter of the Arabic alphabet, Alif, is the first letter of the Name of Majesty, “Allah.” And the last letter, Ya, is the first letter of the name of Prophet Muhammad, when Allah (swt) called him in the Qur’an:
?? ???????????? ?????????? ??????? ?????? ?????????????? ????? ??????? ????????????
Yaseen wa ’l-qur’ani ’l-hakeem innaka lamin al-mursaleen `alaa siraatin mustaqeem.
Yaseen. By the wise Qur’an, verily you are of the Messengers on the Straight Path.
(Surat al-Yaseen, 36:1-4)
Yaseen and the Holy Qur’an, the Ya is the first letter of the name of Prophet (s). So this knowledge is continuously flowing to the heart of the Prophet (s) and is flowing from the Alif to the Ya, from Allah to Muhammad (s)! These are the secrets of the awliya, and the secrets of the pious people and the saints. And the Prophet (s) pours it into the hearts of the awliya, first into the hearts of the Prophets and then to the Companions and their followers, without end until Judgment Day. And he pours it in the hearts of the awliya so that they can sing his praise and they can write their writings about his love.

Bushraa lanaa ma`shar al-islaami/al-insaani fa-inna lanaa min al-`inayati ruknan ghayra munhadimi.
Where Allah addressed Sayyidina Muhammad (s) in Holy Qur'an as “Yaseen,” good tidings for us, O throngs of human beings, for we have of an indestructible pillar of support (in Prophet Muhammad [s]).
Glad tidings for us Muslims, since as a favor we have a cornerstone which cannot be demolished! One wali said this verse, “Glad tidings for all humanity and all creation (not just Muslims), for as a favor we were given a cornerstone which cannot be demolished.” The cornerstone is the Prophet (s), whom each of us wishes to see in every moment of our lives, in every moment in our graves and on Judgment Day when we are questioned by our Lord, and as-salaamu `alaykum wa rahmatullaahi ta`ala wa barakaatuh.
Wa min Allahi 't-tawfeeq, bi hurmati 'l-habeeb, bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah.
