Suhbah after Jumu`ah
As-salaamu `alaykum! Shaykh Hisham Effendi is tired because he was making khutbah and khutbatu mashaa-Allah, maa bayn al-mashaariq wal-maghaarib yusm`aa. Shaykh `Abdus-Salaam, he did a du`a, maqbool inshaa-Allah! Maa baqiyya, never remaining anything to say, only dancing here. If I am standing up people may be very happy to dance, but it doesn't matter! (laughter)
Ayyuha ‘l-ghaafiloon! Ayyuha ‘l-humaqaa! O idiot ones from east to west! Allah, Allah. We are asking forgiveness from our Lord, our Creator, for the honor of the most honored one in His Divinely Presence, Sayyidina Muhammad (s)! (Mawlana Shaykh stands) Shafa`at yaa Rasoolullah (s)! (Mawlana Shaykh sits)
As-salaamu `alaykum! And we are saying, a`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani 'r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem, humbly asking protection from the Heavenly Presence, as everyone there is an accepted one on their levels. They are making me address people from east to west, from north to south, to wake people up because now people are drunk. By drinking, their physical beings never understand anything; they remain at the level of animals. There is no thinking on the level of animals; they only enjoy themselves by eating and drinking. And now people are coming to the level of animals and their importance is only to eat, drink, and enjoy. That is the common level of Mankind who are living just near the Day of Resurrection, yes. Nothing is more important for them except eating, drinking, dressing, riding, and enjoying their physical beings. All their care is only to make their physical being enjoy as much as possible. To reach that level they are quarrelling and fighting among themselves, so their physical being is going to be happy and they may take as much pleasure as possible.

man tashabbah bi-qawmin fa huwa minhum.
Who imitates a people is from them. (Muslim)
O Salafi `ulama! Marhaban, marhaban! Don't you know that hadith nabawiyyatu ’sh-shareef, man tashabbah bi-qawmin fa huwa minhum? Do you know it or are you saying that it is also false? Oh you are such big `ulama, and you know too much, but you are never giving meanings for such a hadith, man tashabbah bi-qawmin fa huwa minhum. I never heard the Salafi `ulama, or doctors of Shari`ah, or Azhari Shareef `ulama speak about the hadith shareef that gives an exact meaning and shows a Straight Path as mentioned in the first surah in the Holy Qur'an.
Allah Almighty is saying and wants to teach His creatures, Mankind. He wants to give that honor to them, to be His deputies on Earth. But are the Salafi `ulama not reciting Fatihatu ‘sh-Shareefah? What was He saying? How Allah Almighty is saying and teaching, O our Lord, ihdina ‘s-Siraat al-Mustaqeem, “Guide us on the Straight Path,” and that means, siraata ‘l-ladheena an`amta `alayhim, "the path of those with whom You are pleased.” That means there is a group of people who are keeping wasiyat Allah, heavenly advice. Allah Almighty is teaching, "O My servants! Hear, listen and obey. Ask Me to make you on the ways of siraata ‘l-ladheena an`amta `alayhim, the ways that I granted as a heavenly grant, and no one can grant what I am granting."
That holy hadith shareef, man tashabbah bi-qawmin fa huwa minhum, is for people that are asking to do everything as those chosen ones are keeping. The Seal of Prophets (s) was saying, man tashabbah bi-qawmin fa huwa minhum. They know we are weak people and can't do as chosen ones of Mankind are doing, keeping the full rights and most praised ways for their Lord. But at least we must try to do something as those ones are doing. Therefore, “Who imitates a people is one of them.”
Man may make himself happy temporarily by trying to imitate what the people of western countries or the non-Muslim world are doing. From the Muslim world also, if you can find one percent (who are keeping an Islamic lifestyle) you would be happy. But mostly people are trying to imitate the non-Muslim world. That is forbidden for Muslims! This point is so important and our `ulama are never taking any care to wake up the Muslim world or teaching how Muslims should be; not to imitate the non-Muslim world! It is not an honor for Muslims to try to imitate the lives of the non-Muslim world.
I never heard Salafi `ulama, other `ulama, or doctors of Shari`ah say, man tashabbah bi-qawmin fa huwa minhum. They are leaving Islamic sources and going to learn Islam from universities like Sorbonne, London, Toronto, Berlin, or Cambridge. For what?!! Are they putting Islamic flags on their buildings? What are their flags? Are they flags of Islam? Why are you going to ask for honor by belonging to them and saying, "We have a Sorbonne certificate." What is the value if they are not saying la ilaaha illa-Llah Sayyidina Muhammadun Rasoolullah (s)? (Mawlana Shaykh stands and sits) If they are not saying this then what is their value?
People now are without any mind! The “learned” Muslims have never really learned. If they were learned, then first they must learn about the unreachable distance, the honor of Islam; it is not on Earth, it is on a distance up to the skies. The honor that can't be reached with any means, it is only a grant for Muslim servants. Yes! It is an ocean! If we are going to speak on it, I think they will say, "Oh, my head aches." Tomorrow when you are entering your graveyard, you will know what is suda. When angels are coming and putting you in an iron coffin that is hot like fire, then you will know what are the graveyard’s conditions. You are going learn what is coming to you at that time.
Don't shout here, but you must say, “O People! man tashabbah bi-qawmin fa huwa minhum.” And `aalamu ‘l-Islam, the Islamic world is just following the steps of the non-Muslim world. If Allah Almighty asks you, "O useless one! What did you teach My servants?" Are you not ashamed to make people run after non-Muslim lifestyles? Say! That is a very important point, man tashabbah bi-qawmin fa huwa minhum. Now all the people are running to be like western people, and that is baatil, false, never accepted! It can't be accepted! If they are placing their left foot first, you must step with the right foot, in everything.
But now we are finished. Everyone is happy to be muqallid, to imitate European, American or Russian lifestyles. Tomorrow you will find a Russian style, Chinese style, European style, and then American style in your graveyard.
And the imaam will call, "Qul, yaa man kharajta mina ‘d-daara ‘d-dunya ila ‘d-daari ‘l-akhirati shahaadatan an laa ilaaha illa-Llah wa anna Muhammadun `abduhu wa habeebuhu wa Rasooluh.” (Mawlana Shaykh stands and sits)
And angels will say, kadhibta, "You are a liar!"
The two angels that are recording everything for you, the Kiraam al-Kaatibeen will come as witnesses. They are coming, if not today then tomorrow; if not this month, then next month. If not this year, then next year or the end of your life, where you will be taken to the graveyard and angels will be waiting for you, asking.
O People! Be Muslims and follow the ways of Muslims that the Seal of Prophets (s) brought from Heavens as your lifestyle. Where is your lifestyle, O Salafi `ulama, O mulook, kings? Where is the Islamic lifestyle in your palaces? Allah Almighty will ask! May Allah forgive us.
Today is the first Jumu`ah, first Friday for holy month Rajabu Shahru-Llah. Try to come, step-by-step, back to the ways of Islamic life, and you will be saved here and Hereafter. If not, you will be punished before dying, in your graveyard, on the Day of Resurrection, and in Hell. May Allah forgive us. As-salaamu `alaykum!

Allah, Allah. Tawbah yaa Rabbee. Tawbah yaa Rabbee. Tawbah, astaghfirullah! Fatihah.
Yaa Rabbee.
Therefore, I am trying to bring horses and not to ride on American cars or English Ford cars or German Mercedes or, what’s that name, VW? They are not finding any other name, only saying WC! Tawbah, astaghfirullah, Tawbah, astaghfirullah! (Mawlana Shaykh laughs.) Marhaban, O Salafi `ulama.
