A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytaani 'r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem.

Nawaytu 'l-arba`een, nawaytu 'l-`itikaaf, nawaytu 'l-khalwah, nawaytu 'l-`uzlah,

nawaytu 'r-riyaadah, nawaytu 's-sulook, lillahi ta`alaa fee haadha 'l-masjid.

As-salaamu `alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh. Alhamdulillahi Rabbi 'l-`Alameen, wa ’s-salaatu wa ’s-salaamu `alaa ashrafi 'l-mursaleena Sayyidina wa Nabiyyina Muhammadin wa `alaa aalihi wa sahbihi ajma`een.

We have to thank His Excellency, the Ambassador of Mongolia, who came and gave us honor from his coming. Alhamdulillah he is a strong Muslim and works for the benefit of both Muslims and non-Muslims equally in his country, like in Singapore they work for both, alhamdulillah You like to say something? Perhaps a little about Mongolia, I want to hear also.

Mongolian Ambassador: A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani ‘r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem. As-Salaamu `alaykum dear brothers and sisters and Your Eminence (Shaykh Hisham).

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham: Astaghfirullah…

Mongolian Ambassador: Thank you for the invitation. I came only for two days to the OIC Conference here in Singapore. My country, as you know, is north of China, a very big ground, 1.5 million square kilometers, only just a small population and about 350,000 are Muslims after 70+ years of Communism we are now [free to live and worship as Muslims]. We built more than thirty mosques, we are praying, working, and we are trying to run a country. I pray for all Muslims, all in Singapore and South East Asia, and I am inviting Shaykh Hisham to visit us one day. (...)

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham: We like to thank him for this short presentation and although it is short, it is full of knowledge because many people don’t know about Mongolia. Mongolia (Magnolia) is also the name of flower, a very beautiful flower, that means a flowery country, but in winter it is -35 to -45. So you have to prepare yourself if you want to go to Mongolia; go only in summer, not winter!

Allah (swt) gave a place for everyone to live in and stay in. I went to Uzbekistan and Central Asia, and other Central Asian countries in winter like Mongolia, but I was telling His Excellency yesterday that it is a dry snow that goes in the bones, if you are not covered well it goes through the bones and you feel the pain. That's why it is dangerous for you to visit, but you have to make intention to one day visit Mongolia in summer. Allah knows what they have of relics there, must be many old relics there. Thank you, and we thank him very much for blessing us tonight.

So tomorrow is 15th of Sha`baan and Laylat al-Bara`ah, the Night of Innocence, the Night of Wisdom, the Night of the Heavenly New Year in Paradise. It is the night Allah descends to the First Heaven, blessing His servants and informing His angels and His Prophet (s). It is the night Allah (swt) descends, in His, not in our, understanding. But in Heavenly Powers that Allah created, He descends to First Heaven and looks at what His servants are doing and He blesses them.

Since the heart of Holy Qu'ran...Islam is based on Holy Qur’an Allah’s Ancient Words. It is Allah’s Words, it is a book that speaks, it is alive, it is Allah’s Words! So Islam is based on His Holy Qu'ran and everything around the world is based on Holy Qu'ran, Creation is based on Holy Qu'ran, because it’s the living, Heavenly Words of Allah (swt). 

Prophet (s) said, “The heart of Holy Qu'ran is Surah Yaseen,” and Yaseen is the name of Prophet (s), which means the heart of Qu'ran is Prophet (s). And the heart of Yaseen is al-Fatihah, so when you are reciting Surah Yaseen in this night, you will blessed and Allah manifests His Beauty and His Noor and His `Ilm, Knowledge, on everyone that is observing this night because it is a very important night, it is the beginning of the Heavenly Year!

Allah will tell all His angels what is going to happen for the next year, what will come on the Preserved Tablets, Lawh al-Mahfooz, what will be happening for the coming year. Allah blessed Prophet (s) and blesses him with all these knowledges in this night for what is going to happen in the coming year. Also, the inheritors of Prophet (s), awliyaullah, are inspired in this night with what is coming this year. Allah is The One that moves and we hope that we will be blessed in this night with the barakah of Sayyidina Muhammad (s) and all prophets and with the du`a of `ulama al-ummah and especially of awliya al-ummah.

It is said in hadith:

?????? ???? ??? ????? ?? ?????? ????

Awliyaa’ee tahta qibaabee, laa ya`lamuhum ghayree.

My saints are under My domes; no one knows them except Me. (Hadith Qudsi)

This means that awliuyllah are not only sitting eating and drinking, but they are drinking and quenching their thirst from Hawd al-Kawthar, they quench their thirst from the heart of Prophet (s) and they give to their followers!

Bal ahyaaun `inda Rabbihim yurzaqoon.

Nay, they live, finding their sustenance in the Presence of their Lord. (Surat Aali `Imraan, 3:169)

“They are alive in the presence of their Lord,” in the hayaat al-Barzakh, the life between dunya and the Day of Judgment; there is a life there and either your grave will become rawdatan min riyaad al-Jannah, a Paradise, or hufratun min an-niraan, a grave from the fire of Hellfire! So that life there for pious and sincere people, for awliyaullah, will be like a Paradise for them and their spirit is free, as Prophet (s) said. And especially in this night, their spirit will take from Prophet (s) whatever he wants to give to them, and as we know, there is coming in future a big change on Earth. A big change, Mr. Ambassador.

We are Muslims and we believe in what Prophet (s) said of the Signs of the Last Days and we are in the Last Days, because all the ahadeeth that Prophet (s) has mentioned about the Signs of the Last Days, most of the Signs have appeared and we are seeing. I give an example: Prophet (s) said in a long hadith about the Five Pillars of Islam, the Six Pillars of Faith and Maqaam ul-Ihsaan.

Sayyidina `Umar (r) said:

While we were sitting with the Messenger of Allah (s), one day a man came up to us whose clothes were extremely white, whose hair was extremely black, upon whom traces of travelling could not be seen, and whom none of us knew, until he sat down close to the Prophet (s) so that he rested his knees upon his knees and placed his two hands upon his thighs and said, “Muhammad, tell me about Islam.” The Messenger of Allah (s) said, “Islam is that you witness that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and you establish the prayer, and you give the zakaat, and you fast Ramadan, and you perform the Hajj of the House if you are able to take a way to it.” He said, "You have told the truth," and we were amazed at him asking him and (then) telling him that he told the truth. He said, "Tell me about imaan." He said, "That you affirm Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, and the Last Day, and that you affirm the Decree, the good of it and the bad of it." He said, "You have told the truth." He said, "Tell me about ihsaan." He said, "That you worship Allah as if you see Him, for if you don't see Him then truly He sees you." He said, "Tell me about the Hour." He said, "The one asked about it knows no more than the one asking." He said, "Then tell me about its signs." He said, "That the female slave should give birth to her mistress, and you see poor, naked, barefoot shepherds of sheep and goats competing in making tall buildings." He went away, and I remained some time. Then he asked, “'Umar, do you know who the questioner was?" I said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said, "He was Jibreel who came to you to teach you your deen." (Muslim, Bukhari)

Then Jibreel (s) asked him, “Yaa Rasoolullah, mata sa`a? When is the Day of Judgement?”

He (s) said, Maa al-masoola bi `arafa min as-saa’il, “The one who is being asked is not knowing more than the one asking,” which means, “You, Jibreel (a), know better.”

And then Jibreel (a) said, “Give me a sign, yaa Rasoolullah.”

Then 1400 years ago, Prophet (s) said, “One of the Signs of the Last Days is when you see the barefooted, naked Bedouin competing with high rises,” the one who is going to build the highest skyscraper and who can build it higher than any other. And now we are seeing in many countries everyone is competing to build higher than the other and this is what the Propeht (s) said 1400 years ago. The naked, not “naked”, but naked shoulders or...you see them rich and building high rises. Do we see that? [Yes.] That is a Sign of the Last Days.

There is going to be a change on Earth. People might not be aware of it, because people don’t think except dunya thinking, they don’t think about Akhirah. And it says in Holy Qu'ran:

????? ?????????? ????????? ???????????? ???????????? ????????? ???????????? ??????? ??????????? ??? ?????

When the Earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion and the Earth throws up her burdens (from within).

(Surat al-Zalzalah, 99:1-2)

“When the Earth begins to shake and becomes an earthquake...when the Earth will shake and what is inside will come out, what is hidden will come into appearance.” Allah exposes everything to see who did bad and who did good and the Earth is going to speak and say, “Yaa Rabbee! This one was walking over me in a good way and this one in a bad way.” May Allah protect us from all this! So reciting Surah Yaseen will attract the blessings that Allah (swt) is blessing His Prophet (s) and His awliyallah, saints.

I am very happy to be here on 15th of Sha`aban in Singapore! I never imagined I would be here this long time, but for certain reasons out of my hands I have been delayed here and the most important wisdom of it is not why I stayed here, the most important wisdom is to see the Ambassador with us. [Ambassador thanks Mawlana and kisses his hand.] If I had gone, I would never have met him, but Allah, with His Heavenly Knowledge, and as it is coming to my heart, that to meet the Ambassador in order to visit Mongolia. I don’t know why, what is there or why the Ambassdor is insisting. It might be good to visit Muslims, to go there and see Muslim brothers, and we don’t know what will come out of it, as it has happened when we visited many places and the outcome was very good. So suddenly I met him in OIC Conference yesterday, and I don’t want to say too much, but he has a heart like a child: his heart is pure, his love is strong, and his love to his country:

Hubb al-awtaan min al-imaan.

Love of your countries is from faith.

“The love of countries is from faith,” Prophet (s) said, and the ambassador wants people to know about his country so, inshaa-Allah, we will visit them there and we will see the Muslims, how they live there and that wisdom that they delayed me here to meet him and to meet some other people, especially Dr `Ali Gomaa (former Grand Mufti of Egypt, and professor at al-Azhar University), whom I haven’t seen for a long time. He is a very close friend and yesterday we were able to meet with him and spend one hour and it was very informative what he told me, about his going to Egypt and I decided to visit him in December to Egypt with the archbishop of Egypt, which all of North Africa is under him. So we will meet him to bring interfaith dialogue between Muslims and non-Muslims. So I believe that is why I was delayed here, to meet them, for that reason, which I was not able to see, but now I am seeing it after these two meetings with the Mongolia Ambassador to Egypt and Dr `Ali Gomaa, so it’s building up better for Muslims in Singapore and everywhere. And now, so we don’t lose time. [Khatm Khwajagan] [Reading of Surah Yaseen three times.]

We read Surah Yaseen: first reading is asking for long life with complete `ibaadah, inshaa-Allah. O Allah! Second reading is to remove all difficulties and calamities from all Muslims’ lives. Third reading of Surah Yaseen is with intention of rizq and not to be dependent on people, but to be dependent on Allah alone. O Allah! You are the One that can provide us with everything, all the ones that are fearing run to You! O Allah! If You have written for me in your Book to be in Hellfire or to be taken away or fired away or having less rizq, take it all, yaa Rabbee, and change it to plenty of rizq and support me, yaa Allah, to be happy, to be supported, to be doing what You like, and to to erase all my sins, and to keep me, yaa Allah, in the Preserved Tablet as a servant of You, yaa Allah! 

Inshaa-Allah, after the tahleel, we can bring the Holy Hair of Prophet (s) for ziyara.

Inshaa-Allah we make taleem for Mawlana Shaykh Nazim, Allah bless his soul, and Grandshaykh (q), and all the way up the Golden Chain to Prophet (s) and Allah accepts it. And for all brothers and sisters to see good.

RECITE DAILY

There is du`a that you say Surah Fatihah for your grave and all what you do, they will come and represent it to you in your grave on a platter of gold! So every day, say, “I am sending this Fatihah to my grave.” So at end of du`a or prayer, or at the end of the day, say, “Yaa Allah! If I did something You like, send this to my grave and send Fatihah to my grave, and if You see something You didn't like, remove it and send the Fatihah to my grave.”

[Tahleel.] That tahleel is a gift for Mawlana Shaykh Nazim, he passed away forty days ago. We have made a charitable society, the Hajjah Naziha Charitable Society, to feed the poor. We have slaughtered around 150 goats in Kenya, Nairobi, and Somalia, and offered food for thousands and thousands of people. Tomorrow they will slaughter 20 goats for the soul of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (q) and for the 15th Sha`aban and they distribute the meat and cook and will feed 2000 people and recite Yaseen. In Somalia and Kenya, we will be slaughtering 100 goats until Ramadan. Anyone that likes to participate, they can for the price of a goat or a lamb on the Internet, they go to sufilive.com/zabiha, they can put their name and pay there, and that will be for Hajjah Naziha's Charitable Society as she wanted to do for this her father, and she insisited on that and she will give whatever she has of money for that reason.

AT-TARIQAT NAQSHBANDIYYA-NAZIMIYYA

The other thing is that I spoke with Mawlana (q) in March before he left dunya, three months ago, that we have trouble with the name “Naqshbandi-Haqqani” because there are black-listed people called “Haqqani”, some of them are terrorists, so it is giving a bad name for the Tariqah Haqqaniyyah. So I asked Mawlana (q) if we could change our name to the Tariqah Nazimiyya, because I would be proud, be honored, to call it after Mawlana Shaykh Nazim’s name, like it was called “Siddiqiyya” after Sayyidina Abu Bakr as Siddiq (r), “Tafooriyyah”after Sayyidina Abu Yazid al-Bastami (q), and “Naqshbandiyya” by the name of Shah Bahauddin Naqshband (q), then “Uwaysiyya” between Sayyidina al-Khidr (a) and `Abdul Khaliq al-Ghujdawani, and then “Mujadidiyya” in the time of Sayyidina Ahmad al-Farooqi (q), then “Khalidiyya”, then it was “Daghestaniyya”, because it went to Daghestan, and now we like to call it “Naqshbandi-Nazimiyya.” Those who like are welcome to use this name and those who don’t like it, it’s up to them, but we are going to use that name, because it is said:

When the names of the pious are mentioned Allah’s Mercy descends.
