Monthly Grand Mawlid, Dhikr and Ziyarah at CSCA

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani

26 August 2017 Feltham, London, UK

Suhbah at Centre for Spirituality and Cultural Advancement (CSCA)

[Du`a.] Al-Fatihah. Taqabal Allah.

As-salaamu `alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh. Now we have two, we took barakah from both of them (tabarruk, Holy Hairs of Prophet). May Allah (swt) forgive us. That’s why they brought us here tonight: to have that barakah is better than a hundred or hundred-thousand suhbahs. Suhbah is the words of human beings, but the Holy Hair of Prophet (s) is Allah’s Creation for Prophet (s). So does it carry Manifestations, tajalli and knowledge? We saw Shaykh Ahmed al-Khazraji in Abu Dhabi has the big one; what knowledge is in it? It is something Divine that we cannot understand. We look at it as a piece of “Holy Hair,” but in reality, every part of that Hair, even millions of its atoms can speak on behalf of Prophet (s) because he is hayy, alive, not dead as they say! Hasha!

My life is a great good for you: you relate from and narrations are related to you and my death contains good for you as well, for I observe the `amal of my Ummah. If I find good I thank Allah, and if I see other than that, bad, I ask forgiveness for you. (al-Bazzaar in his Musnad)

He sees and knows everyone by their name, not your name here, but the name Allah gave you in Heavens, because you have seven names. Prophet (s) looks at you under the name Allah gave you on Yawm alastu bi-rabbikum qaaloo balaa, the Day of Promises.

[Allah asked] “Am I not your Lord?” They said, “Yes!” (Surat al-Araaf, 7:172)

The tongue is frozen when we want to speak about Prophet (s) and doesn’t have the capacity or power. What we are saying is like drops of rain on an ocean! How these drops come to the ocean is nothing compared to the ocean itself, they are nothing. Compared to Prophet (s), no one is anything, not even Awliyaullah. No one can compare to him. Allah (swt) created him wahidun fareedun, you cannot find anyone like him, it is impossible.

Come, come, we sit together--alhamdulillah, we get the barakah and go, but what kind of barakah are we taking with us, what did he (s) give us? We didn’t expect to have two ziyarah of the Holy Hair, but Allah (swt) brought those people with the ziyarah for us to be rewarded. We are all running to see the Holy Hair, and can someone who looked at Prophet (s) be thrown in Hellfire? When they told him the Prophet (s) was born, Abu Lahab, Prophet,s uncle, freed his slave Thuwayba because he was so happy, and he was kafir. He ignored Prophet (s), but a kafir was happy with the birth of Prophet (s), although he didn’t know about Prophet’s mission, as soon as he heard about this birth he was so happy! That’s why Allah (swt) stops adhaab on him every Monday, because he was so happy with the birth of Prophet (s). This is not from us, it’s from the Sunnah, narrations of Prophet (s).

Allah made Muslims and non-Muslims. When Allah created Creation, He brought us all together, asking them, “Who am I and who are you?” We all said, “You are our Creator and we are Your servants.” That’s why insaan, human beings, are born on innocence, without sin. A child born to a non-Muslim mother is Muslim:

يولد الانسان على الفطرة ، فأبواه يهودانه أو ينصرانه أو يمجسانه

Man is born upon fitra (innocence), but his parents make him a Jew, a Christian or a Magian.

(Bukhari, Muslim)

Either his parents will make him Zoroastrian, a Christian, or a Jew, but Allah gave birth to that servant, and when the baby comes he is in a state of fitra, innocence: the noor of imaan is there. But the deeds of the parents slowly cuts down until he goes completely out of the realm of Islam. However, on the Day of Promises Allah asked, “Who am I and who are you?” And we said, “You are our Lord and we are Your servants.” When Allah asked that of Ummat an-Nabi (s), can anyone erase it? No one can erase that, it is a stamp that you said, “Laa ilaaha illa-Llah Muhammadun Rasoolullah.” Can anyone take that away? No way!

When Awliyaullah look at their followers, they look at that stamp. Everyone has it: some have big stamps, some have small; some are under the skin, and some are under the thumb. How many billions of people did Allah create on Earth from Adam (a) to the Day of Judgment, we don’t know, we cannot count, it is a big list. Today we have six or seven billion people living on Earth. Over the centuries, how many were there? If we say to people now, “Take this paper and draw a thumb,” how many different types of thumbs can you draw? Maybe ten, twenty, one-hundred, because all of that is so small and you cannot see that fingerprint except under a microscope, so you cannot draw more than a hundred or thousand different ones. By Kun fayakoon, Allah (swt) makes billions of unique stamps completely different from each other, which is why they take fingerprints today, because each one is different from the other. How?

Can you imagine all of Allah’s Creation with unique fingerprints? See Allah’s Greatness! And He gave it all to Sayyidina Muhammad (s). Allah doesn’t need to look at us. He sent His Prophet (s) with us. Allah doesn’t need to look at the Earth.

If the value of this dunya weighed the wing of a mosquito, Allah would never give a cup of water for the unbelievers to drink.

In Allah’s view, dunya doesn’t weigh more than the wing of a mosquito, but it gives us knowledge and secrets. We all have a fingerprint, not one is the same, and there are billions now and billions more to come, all different. Awliyaullah look at that fingerprint and know who you are and what is written for you in your DNA, your blueprint. From one to another they differ. Now they found the iris is also unique like a thumbprint and no one has an iris like yours. When Allah orders the angel to bring punishment, it will come with your name that it reads on your thumb, and your iris, and any cell of your body.

And yet, still we are proud and arrogant! How many years will you live, seventy, eighty? What will happen in the end? They are going to put you in the grave. What will you take with you? This, this meeting, which is so valuable because it has the Holy Hair of Prophet (s)! You don’t know which barakah comes to you from these kinds of Circles of Remembrance. Prophet (s) told the Sahaabah (r):

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: إذا مررتم برياض الجنة فارتعوا. قالو وما رياض الجنة؟ قال "حلق الذكر"

Ibn `Umar reported that the Prophet (s) said, "When you pass by the Gardens of Paradise, avail yourselves of them." The Companions asked, "What are the Gardens of Paradise, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "The circles of dhikr.” (Tirmidhi)

“If you pass by the Gardens of Heavens on Earth, sit there,” so we are sitting. Yaa Sayyidi! Yaa Rasoolullah! He called him from here. Yaa Rasoolullah! Yaa Habeebullah!

If they had only, when they were unjust to themselves, come unto thee and asked Allah's forgiveness, and the Messenger had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah indeed Oft-returning, Most Merciful. (Surat an-Nisaa, 4:64)

From here we are asking, “We are sitting in a Garden of Heaven as you said, Yaa Sayyidi! Yaa Rasoolullah! Turn our sitting to be for dunya and Akhirah, to save us from Hellfire!”

Qaaloo wa maa riyaadh al-jannah, yaa Rasoolullah? “What are these Gardens of Heavens?” There is a garden on Earth, Madinatu 'l-Munawwara. When you sit for dhikr, everything will turn into Madinatu 'l-Munawwara in your heart. When you sit and make salawaat on Prophet (s) and dhikrullah, Allah will dress you with the mercy of Madinatu 'l-Munawwara, of Rawdat ash-Shareefah, and you will be in the wajhah of Prophet (s), that’s certain! It’s easy to sit like that every day. Alhamdulillah, come every day or do it at home: sit by yourself and remember Allah, make dhikrullah, read Qur’an and Hadith. It will turn your life from upside down to goodness, because all of us have sins and we are sitting here to erase them. This circle of dhikrullah is a washing machine that cleans away all your sins. Just like you wash your clothes, there is a heavenly washing machine.

Say "Allah," then leave them to plunge in vain discourse and trifling. ( Surat al-An`am, 6:91)

It is very simple. Allah said in Holy Qur’an, “Say ‘Allah’, and leave them to play what they like, don’t care, leave them, but say, ‘Allah!’” We are saying, “Allah!” We are following Prophet (s). We are saying, “Allah! Yaa Sayyidi! Yaa Rasoolullah!

Say (O Muhammad), "If you (really) love Allah, then follow me! Allah will love you and forgive your sins, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Surat Aali-'Imraan, 3:31)

With our weakness and helplessness, what can we do? We are saying ‘Allah.’ Take us into your arms, hug us! Does Prophet (s) hug his Ummah? Yes! He hugs them and cares for them, that’s why he asks for shafa`ah. Shafa`ah is to hug you and what Prophet (s) hugs doesn’t go to Hellfire, it goes to Paradise. The way of Paradise is open. Everyone’s hug from Prophet (s) is different. Sayyid Ahmad ar-Rifa`ee Kabeer (q), one of the big Awliya from Egypt, often recited this poem:

في حالة البعد روحي كنت أرسلها تقبل الأرض عني وهي نائبتي

وهذه دولة الأشباح قد حضرت فامدد يمينك كي تحظى بها شفتي

I used to send my soul, yaa Sayyidee, yaa Muhammad, yaa Rasoolullah, to kiss your threshold, and it represents me on my behalf. Now that kingdom of spirits has appeared before you. Extend your hand, that my lips will be lucky to kiss it!

He made salawaat on Prophet from far away in Egypt, and when he came to Madinatu 'l-Munawwara he was inspired to recite that verse when he was facing Prophet (s), in which he described himself as dawlat al-ashbaah, “country of ghosts.” “I came to you, yaa Sayyidi, yaa Rasoolullah. Extend your hand for my lips to kiss it.” It is narrated that when he recited that, Prophet’s holy white hand came out of his grave and Sayyidina Ahmad kissed it!

Grandshaykh, may Allah bless his soul, said in the time of Mahdi (a), Ummat an-Nabi (s) will be given an advantage over all other Nations to kiss Prophet’s hand. Every person will kiss it, and immediately from twelve-thousand up to twenty-four thousand oceans of knowledge will open to his heart. Some Awliya and some from Ummat an-Nabi (s) will kiss it twelve-thousand in the same moment, like a chain reaction that moves exponentially. If he likes, Prophet (s) can make it a hundred thousand!

Yaa Sayyidi! Yaa Rasoolullah! We love you, we adore you and we hope to be at your threshold! Forgive our sins. You are the one who can ask, we cannot! He (s) can ask on our behalf, wa law annahum izh-zhalamoo anfusahum jaa’ooka f’astaghfaroollaaha w’astaghfara lahumu ‘r-rasool.

May Allah (swt) turn this event into a heavenly event by barakat an-Nabi and barakah of the Saaliheen. Bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah.

May Allah forgive us. This dunya is moving towards the end. No more, it’s going. There is too much bloodshed. We understand there can be bloodshed anywhere, but within your religion? Islam is fighting Islam, Muslims are fighting Muslims. Is that what Prophet wants for us? They stepped on what Prophet (s) left us and they are Muslim but are killing each other. What is the reason, who knows? Awliya know what is going to happen. May Allah protect us from what is coming soon!

Bi hurmati 'l-habeeb, bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah.
