Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem. The name of the Prophet (s) has the strongest meaning.
Verily, Allah and His angels send praise on the Prophet. O Believers! Pray upon him and greet him with a worthy salutation! (Surat al-'Ahzaab, 33:56)
His prayers and salawaat are different from our salawaat in the wording. When I was going to make salawaat on Prophet (s), they immediately stopped it. There is someone here who is not in his place, coming only to see what is going on. What is going on is Mahfal Salaat an-Nabi (s). We hope they forgive us, we hope that Allah will accept our prayers and our blessings on Rasoolullah (s).
Allah created human beings to know their reality and to know the reality of Rasoolullah (s). The understanding of who the Prophet (s) is, no one can do that except Allah (swt). What we write, we write something, we recite something, it is minimal respect of the Prophet (s), but this is all we can do. The rest is in the hands of Prophet (s). Even if what we do is not correct, in the end it is in the hands of Prophet (s). If we pray one time on the Prophet (s) or we pray even one letter on the Prophet (s), they take you on a trip all around the Paradises to know the greatness of Sayyidina Muhammad (s).
Yaa Sayyidi, yaa Rasoolullah (s), yaa Rahmatan li ’l-`Alameen. Anta NabiyAllah wa nahnu `ibaadullah. As water gushes out of a faucet, the same way salawaat gushes out of Rasoolullah (s), and every drop of the salawaat has a meaning in his presence. Al-Mustafa (s) reaches these drops and he gives them to the servants. How much he (s) is running after us to correct us, and we are running away! If we had to leave this meeting here, (up to this moment) is enough to take us all to Paradise!
Grandshaykh `AbdAllah, may Allah bless his soul, Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (q), and all other mashayikh reached and understood Realities. How much they help Ummat an-Nabi (s), they are coming with a golden plate and Ummat an-Nabi is leaving that! Grandshaykh, may Allah bless his soul, said seventy years ago, “When Sayyidi Shaykh Sharafuddin called me, I knew what he wanted: for me to be his khalifah. I refused. I said, ‘If it is an order, okay, I will do it, but if it is not an order, I am not going to carry it.’”
At that time, Shaykh Sharafuddin wrote his khilafah naming Grandshaykh, who took that paper which I have, that states, “Shaykh Sharafuddin has appointed the khilafah to Shaykh `AbdAllah”. Grandshaykh said after three days or one week he called him and said, “Yaa waladee, I am leaving this dunya. This is my khilafah and I am giving it to you,” and he gave it to him just as Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (q) taught us.
He said, “It is not necessary to be written with ‘Alif’ ‘Ba’ ‘Ta’. It is written from noor, light, and anyone who looks at it will fall down.” So what did Grandshaykh (q) do? He took the khilafah, kissed it, placed it on his head and said, “Yaa Sayyidi, I accept this, but I cannot carry it,” and then mentioned many points on how he could carry it. I will mention one here.
When he took the khilafah, it consisted of two parts: one part from noor and one from dunya. He took it, placed it on his head, kissed it, and went to read it by himself. After one week, Mawlana Shaykh Sharafuddin (q) passed away and Grandshaykh (q) tore it up and threw it in the river.
The mureeds ran to him and said, “O Sayyidi, why are you doing that?”
He said, “If I do that, I will be asked about what everyone did, and I might go to Hell or to Paradise.”
So to carry the weight of something Awliyaullah have put their fingers on, on one side it is nice and on the other side it is a heavy responsibility. So he took it, threw it in the river and left. Until today it is not known where that khilafah is. So don't run after that! Is Allah going to forgive us or not? That is what we have to run after.
Wa kullun min Rasoolillaahi multamisun, gharfan min al-bahri aw rashfan min ad-diyami.
All of them partake from the Prophet of God, a handful of his oceans or a sip from his continuous rains. (Shaykh Muhammad al-Busayri, Burdat ash-Shareefah)
Everyone is taking from that holy water: some are taking with a bucket and some are taking like they can quench their thirst, but the key of this holy water went to Grandshaykh (q) and then to Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (q), whose name among Awliya is “Mua`aayud ad-Deen”, which he handled with his heart. Up to today, who wants to be khalifah can be. You see how Shaykh Adnan left dunya so quickly. I was there in Grandshaykh's (q) room with Shaykh Adnan and Shaykh Abdus-Salaam, when he said, “I will be leaving dunya, and then Shaykh Nazim, and then Shaykh Adnan.”
We are waiting from day to day. We don’t know what will happen, but we ask Allah to give us a good life, a life with many mureeds of Mawlana Shaykh. It is in their hands, it is not something hidden. May Allah forgive us and bless this meeting. I assure that the same meeting will be at the death of someone who was here; he will find an ocean of shafa`ah because he attended this place, which is not for us, but for Allah (swt):
وَأَنَّ الْمَسَاجِدَ لِلَّهِ
The mosques are for Allah. (Surat al-Jinn, 72:18)
Come one, two, or ten. When Grandshaykh (q) was alone, he took his turban off and spoke to it in order to not allow his time to be empty (wasted); he was always making dhikrullah and salawaat. These days we waste our time watching TV and on different things. Each one here can renew his bay`a with the one who was assigned by Grandshaykh and Mawlana Shaykh (q) to do that.
I feel bad for the ladies who wait here for two, three, four hours, and out of love, when we enter they run to get baraka. We used to run quickly to see Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (q). These days there are too many people and that is why it is difficult (to see everyone), especially when someone is sick and they have to help him. Either you run to be first or you wait until the crowd is less, but everybody wants to be first in line.
When Sayyidina Khwaja Ubaydullah al-Ahrar (q), one of the forty Master Grandshaykhs of the Naqshbandi Golden Chain was passing away, the shaykh has to assign the deputy for his mureeds to know, and they were fighting. Khawaja Ubaydullah (q) said, “Take my turban and make it fly.” It flew around the room and he said, “Whose head it lands on will be my khalifah.” As it was turning, everyone was trying to catch it to become the khalifah, but the shaykh's point is the khalifah.
So they turned their head and turned their head to get the hat of Sayyidina Ubaydullah al-Ahrar (q) to be khalifah. That is the problem today: leave everything and keep what the shaykh said, and for you, do whatever you want. Go to people outside and say, "I walked on the moon." Will they believe it? No. “I walk on the moon, they don't believe,” but really he passed all that. He passed moving on the moon, he can even go to the sun, he can go to the first Paradise! They cannot reach him.
Repent to Allah (swt)! You don't know who is who among these people. There might be a Wali here, there might an angel here.
When people sit to make dhikr, they are encompassed by angels; we were encompassed by an angel tonight. That is the Hadith of the Prophet (s): when people sit doing dhikr angels will encompass them. We were sitting and making dhikrullah, salawat, and Mawlid, so they are coming here, they are inside. Allah (swt) gave power to the Prophet (s) to do that and the Prophet (s) gave the power to dhaakireen.
Behold! In the creation of Heaven and Earth, and in the alternation of night and day, there are indeed signs for men of understanding, those who remember Allah (always, and in prayers) standing, sitting and lying down on their sides, and contemplate the creation of the Heavens and the Earth, (saying), "Our Lord! You have not created (all) this without purpose! Glory to You! Grant us salvation from the torment of the Fire.” (Surat Aali `Imraan, 3:190-191)
We are asking for shafa`ah and for Allah (swt) to forgive us. [Du`a.]
Wa min Allahi 't-tawfeeq, bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah.
