Suhbah After Khatm (before Maghrib)

A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytaani 'r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmaani 'r-Raheem.

Nawaytu 'l-arba`een, nawaytu 'l-`itikaaf, nawaytu 'l-khalwah, nawaytu 'l-`uzlah,

nawaytu 'r-riyaadah, nawaytu 's-sulook, lillahi ta`alaa fee haadha 'l-masjid.

Allahuma tahhir qalbee min ash-shirki wa 'n-nifaaq.

(Khatm)

(Suhbah after khatm)

Qaala an-Nabi (s) yassiru wa laa tu-`assiroo.

Prophet (s) said, “Make things easy and don't make things difficult.”

And Allah said in Holy Qur'an:

إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا

Inna ma` al-`usri yusra.

With difficulty comes ease. (Surat al-Inshirah, 94:6)

Immediately after every difficulty it turns to ease. May Allah (swt) turn our problems and difficulties to ease, and also we have to make people's difficulty into ease by giving advice. Prophet (s) said:

الدين نصيحة

Ad-deenu naseeha.

Religion is advice.

Don't look here or there, as you can learn from young people and from elders. Don't be stubborn in your opinions, but follow the middle way as we are a middle nation. nahnu ummatan wasatan, don't go to extremes or excessiveness, being either too liberal or too conservative, but be in the middle, not in ghuloow, extreme.

If you see someone falling into a problem, give him advice, but if he doesn't want it don't give it. jaadilhum billatee hiya ahsan. Speak to them in best way. There are people who say, “O my brother, I have to give you advice.” They see it as a duty, which it is, from the Prophet (s). They might see you praying incorrectly and advise you, “Don't pray like roosters pecking the ground, but give the prayer its rights.” That is an advice; if you want to accept it, accept it, but in matters of religion don't say to that one, “I know better than you!” Don't say, “I don't want to obey;” rather say, sami`na wa a`taa`na, “We listen and we obey.” Allah didn’t say “sami`na” only but, “We listened and obeyed.”

Like Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (r) who, whatever he heard from Prophet (s), always said, sadaqta yaa Rasoolullah, “You have spoken the truth, I accept.” We hope to be under whatever Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (r) replied to the Prophet (s). We cannot do it, but he is our spiritual, roohaani father in Naqshbandi Tariqat, so we say, “May Allah (swt) share us with his prayers, his advice, his `ibaadah and what the Prophet (s) did of `ibaadah, and what Sahaabah (r) did of `ibaadah and what awliyaullah did of `ibaadah. Share us with them, that is enough!

Wa min Allahi 't-tawfeeq, bi hurmati 'l-habeeb, bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah.
