Kings and Leaders: Be Generous with Allah's Servants!

Sultan al-Awliya

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani

25 August 2010 Lefke, Cyprus

Dastoor yaa Sayyidee! (Mawlana Shaykh stands) Laa ilaaha illa-Llah. Laa ilaaha illa-Llah. Laa ilaaha illa-Llah Muhammadun Rasoolullah `alayhi salaatullah, `alayhi salaamullah, `alayhi rahmaatullah! Allahuma zid wa baarik habeebika Sayyidi 'l-awwaleen wa ’l-akhireen,Sayyidina Muhammad (s) , `izzan wa sharafan nooran wa suroora, ridwaanan wa sultaana . Wa `ala saa'iri'l-anbiya wa 'l-mursaleen wa man tabi`ahum bi ihsaan ila yawmi 'd-deen. Ya Rabbee zid wa baarik w 'a`fuw `anna fee ridaak, yaa Rabbi 'l-`alameen. Subhaan sen! Sultaan sen! (Mawlana Shaykh sits)

A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani 'r-rajeem. O our Lord! Save Your weak servants from Shaytan and its helpers. I am sorry to address Allah Almighty with this. Astaghfirullah! I am saying this hundreds and thousands of times, "Forgive me yaa Rabbi 'l-`alameen, O our Creator!" But it is a holy order to ask protection from Shaytan from our Creator. Therefore, as a heavenly protocol, we must use it as He orders. And when we are saying, `aoodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani 'r-rajeem, an answer is coming from heavenly ones dictating to servants, (Mawlana Shaykh stands) "O our Lord's weak servants! Say, Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem, and don't worry." (Mawlana Shaykh sits) That is a heavenly protocol, therefore we must say, "`aoodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani 'r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem," as the Seal of Prophets (s), the most glorified one, is also saying this.

O our Attenders! Take care, be a quiet believer, and your belief must be full of contentment. When you are saying, Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem you must feel full contentment, without any doubt. If the weakest servant says, Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem, if all Creation were comprised of Shaytan's agents attacking you, still that weakest servant is going to be victorious! It is so powerful to say, Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem. If you are fearing from something, say, Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem, and that one will not only tremble but may fall down. And according to your faith, imaan, according to your certainty you will be supported.

O our Attenders! Don't be heedless ones. Open your eyes before closing down. A Day is coming in which your eyes are going to be closed and will never open, and your ears are never going to hear anything from anyone in this dunya. Your ears will be locked, your eyes will be closed, and your power will reach the point of zero, finishing. You are going to be like a statue, not seeing or not hearing as before. An opening will appear in which your connection to this life will be cut off, and you will find yourself in another Creation, in another world that you have never seen. Everything you know will change. That Day is coming for everyone, attenders! That time may come any time, any moment, any second. There is no amaan, not any guarantee. When it will come, no one will give you knowledge of it, and no one living on this planet can give you a guarantee. They are not saying, "O our king, don’t worry! Our president, don't worry! The richest one, don't worry! The strongest one, don't worry!" None can give you a guarantee.

O our Attenders! Beware of passing away from this world at any time. Our life is between two breaths, one inhaling and one exhaling. Beware! Don't be cheated by Shaytan and its agents. Common people, come and listen, and take your care! Your care! Any time we may leave and no one can bring us back again. Therefore, every day they are making me shout at common people, and also for those who are making a show of themselves, who think, "We are with our kingdom, our sultanate, our treasures. We are not like common people, to be taken away so quickly!" Shaytan is teaching them.

O People! One of the sultans appointed one person, who he ordered to say often, "O your Majesty! Don't forget that you are going to die!" And when that sultan was walking with greatness and pride, when he heard that reminder, he held his head low, in humility. All majestic ones are attacked by their egos, and Shaytan urges them to proclaim, "I am such a king, emperor, sultan, so great!" It is given that way to the hearts of kings or sultans, to make them fall down. They claim when they look in the mirror, "I am such a majestic one, yes!" Shaytan is blowing on such sultans or kings to make them think they are important ones. Leave it! That sultan was clever and ordered that one to remind him, "You are going to die!"

The last Ottoman sultans followed Holy Shari`ah, and that is a high level for anyone to reach and to make his highest ta`zheem, glorification. Ordinary people are not taking care, so Shaytan comes to top-level people, saying, "Look, all these continents are for you! Look, all those people salute you, giving their high respects! You must see your importance, that no one is reaching your level." The Ottoman Empire emperors came to Jumu`ah prayer and their soldiers shouted, Padishaham guroorlanmaa, "O our Sultan! Don’t be proud of your sultanate! You must know that a heavenly sultanate is covering you, and there are thousands, millions, billions, and trillions of kings and sultans in the heavenly sultanate. All of you are going to be less than an ant. Don't be proud! (Mawlana Shaykh stands) Allah is Greatest, Most Majestic, and Most High!" That reminder made the sultan lower his head in humility.

Now in our time, there are so many imitated-title people who claim to be something, and they are nothing! That is the cause of all trouble that 21st-century people are falling into, the endless problems, endless sufferings and miseries! Shaytan is telling them, "You are the biggest one, the greatest one among people." Leaders are trying to put people under their feet. The most dangerous bad characteristic is to say, "I am something," and to be proud!

O our Attenders, especially Salafi `ulamas! You must say in every Friday khutbah, "O Jalaalatul Malik, O Majestic King! Don’t think that you have reached a level that no one can be above. That is from Shaytan!" That will make Shaytan fall down, because he was so proud. And so many kings and emperors just fell down and were cursed from Heavens because they were saying, hal hunaka ahadun mithluna, "Is there anyone higher, more majestic than me?" Shaytan tells them, "Look, can anyone can be like you? You are the king and they are your servants." Hasha, never! Kings, first of all, must say, "O our Lord! We are Your weakest servants. You are putting that honor, that crown on our heads because we are the weakest ones, not the most powerful ones!"

Pride is the fountain of trouble and suffering that Mankind is falling into and there is not any treatment for them. Therefore, particularly`ulamas, from that level you must stand up in front of your malik or your sultan or your emperor and say to him, "O `AbdAllah, Servant of Allah! Leave meaningless titles!" You can't say, "O our Lord's sultan," because Absolute Sultanate is only for the Lord of Heavens!

There are so many stories about causing people's heads to fall down. There was a famous khalifah, Haroon ar-Rasheed of Baghdad, may Allah (swt) bless him. Blessings come on people according to their good services. Man is offered just two things that the Prophet (s) and all prophets taught. "Try to be the most high ones in glorifying your Lord, to be on the first level. Take care for glorifying your Lord, Almighty Allah." And second, "Try to be a good one for all people so that people may say that you are a good one." Those are two pillars: one, to give your highest praisings to your Lord, to glorify His Majesty; and second, to be good to your Lord’s servants. Nothing else, that’s all the prophets were teaching.

Sultan Haroon ar-Rasheed was a good one for his Lord, Allah Almighty. He was trying to make good things for his nation as well, and to help the nation of Muhammad (s), Sayyidi 'l-awwaleen wa ’l-akhireen, (Mawlana Shaykh stands and sits), to be happy. One day there was a person, "Bahlul Daana," who was never interested in dunya and its pleasures; his heart was always asking to be with his Lord Almighty Allah. Once he went to the palace of Haroon ar-Rasheed, looked around and said, "O Haroon," not, "O Majesty," as such titles are all imitated. "Haroon ar-Rasheed, this palace is very ornate."

"What are you saying?" Haroon addressed Bahlul Daana.

"O Haroon, here in this is dunya, you are living in such magnificent ornamented palaces. This is good for you only in dunya, but you will be so happy and lucky to find such beautiful palaces when you pass away! But what if you do not find them? Think on it."

"O Bahlul! ansah lee, Give me some advice." He spoke so sweetly.

"Look, O Haroon, that is my advice to you. If you find such beautiful palaces there, you will be so lucky. If not, bad tidings for you. You will be the most lost one because you have been granted such things in this life that you cannot carry with you after your death. You will be unlucky."

"O Bahlul! zidnee, Say more for me, some good advice."

Bahlul stood and said, "O Haroon ar-Rasheed! These are your ancestors' palaces and their tombs. It is enough for you. Yesterday they sat here, now they are sleeping under the Earth. Don't be cheated by shaytanic ideas. Today you are here as your ancestors once were, and tomorrow you shall be as your ancestors are lying there now!"

O Salafi `ulamas! Do not ignore the Lord's Command, fa dhakkir, "Remind everyone!" Particularly remind your kings, 'Don’t be cheated! You are going to be in that cemetery that is full." They were building something on their graves, but now your people, O Salafi `ulamas, are saying it is bida`. You are not leaving any stones, saying, "This is King Faisal, jalaalatu." There is nothing written (to mark the grave), so suddenly you will find yourselves under heaps of sand. Beware of Shaytan! You should always be a reminder for your kings and sultans, so they may give more charity before leaving this life and their wordly treasures.

May Allah forgive us. As-salaamu `alaykum.

(47 minutes) (880 viewers) Mashaa-Allah, Allahu Akbar! Allahu Akbar al-Allah. Yaa Rabbee, shukr!

(Mawlana Shaykh speaks with Shaykh Hisham Effendi on the phone.)

(Shaykh Hisham: Suhbah jameelah, beautiful suhbah! Every day in Kenya they are feeding 600 or more poor people in the name of Mawlana Shaykh and in 40 different villages in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, they are sending food to eat. (Mawlana sent money with Shaykh Hisham to create a system to help them by distributing food in Ramadan.) They are digging wells for water in villages as well. Nine are being dug, three are complete and water is coming out at 30 meters with strong pressure. They have put a place for prayer next to each well. There will be coming soon from there a man with photos to show Mawlana Shaykh the work. It was unexpected, to find water at shallow depths; that is not normal for that area.)

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: These will be named, "Shaykh Hisham Kabbani's Fountains!"

(Mawlana Shaykh prays two raka`at Salaat ash-Shukr.)
