ASIM

Alhamdulillah

O Muslims, alhamdulillah that we have today Eid, because it is a blessing that Allah swt wants His servants to celebrate after their fasting. "Everything is for you," the Prophet (s) said, "except for fasting. "What ever you do you will be rewarded and angels will write your rewards. For fasting angels cannot write the rewards. For fasting Allah himself will write the rewards.

And the Prophet (s) said, "up to 700 times." If you give one dollar in the way of Allah, Allah will give up to 700 as a reward and His rewards are not one dollar.

So count the rewards. No one can count the rewards done for even voluntary worship.

"kullu `amalin abna adam yuda`af al-hasanatat bi- `ashara amthaliha ila saba` miya d`af  ila ma’ sha’-Allah. Qala Allah `azza wa jall illa as-sawm fa innahu lee wa ana ajzee bih yada` shahwatahu wa ta`amahu min ajalee, li’s-sa’imi farhatan: farhatan inda fitrahu, wa farhatan inda liqa’ rabbah. Wa la-khaloofa fama’s-sa’im atyabu `inda-Allahi min reeha ’l-misk.

“Verily Allah has made the rewards for the Children of Adam from ten times to 700 times except for fasting. Fasting is for Me and I will reward it.”

Except for fasting. [it means:] “don’t ask Me how much I am giving. Fasting is for Me and you don’t know how much reward I will give you.”

It might be 700 million. It might be 700 trillion. Allah when he opens ocean of mercy it is not a tsunami, but Allah will be in tsunami and the whole universe will be in tsunami. Why. Because the one fasting is not running after your desires. There is no time to run after the halaal desires that Allah permitted you. You are fasting all the day and you praying taraweeh and getting home at midnite and you are waking up for sahoor. So what is left?

The hadith continues: “and he leaves his desires for Me. He leaves his food for Me. For that reason for the fasting person are two joys. One is when he breaks his fast.”

When is that? When do you break your fast? Either you break fast daily or you break fast at the end month when it is complete. That means Allah gives you happiness when you reach the end of the month of Ramadan. You go back to easy worshipness after difficult worship.

There are many sick people they are strong to fast even though they are sick. And there are others who say, "O I have a headache, I cannot fast. Or I have a cut on my finger.”

So he said, "for the fasting person there will be two times of joy, one on breaking his fast and one when he sees his Lord.” You see how the Prophet (s) made happiness equivalent to seeing our Lord.

Then the Prophet (s) said, "There is a gate in Paradise named Rayyaan, (which means "the one that quenches thirst,") and Allah on Day of Judgment will have an angel call out “where are the fasters? Let them enter through that door called Rayyan and no one enters through it excep them. And after they have entered it is closed and no one else is allowed.”

And anyone who fasted Ramadan, will enter through that door. And Allah knows best. There are many people in some countries who don’t fast Ramadan. And then they repent and they pay the missed fasts and they make them up.

No one will enter that door except those who were fasting. Ayn as-sa’imoon, … where are the ones who were fasting? They were fasting for Me. No one will enter except them and when they enter, the last one to enter the door is closed.

O people you must be happy. That is why Allah said you have happiness when you break your fast. That means you will be sent to paradise with no account. There is no judgment, you will be told ot enter that door without any account.

`An Abi Sa`eed al-Khudree, ma min `abdin saama yawmin fee sabeelillah illa ba`ad allah bidhalika’l-yawm wajhahu `ani’n-nar  saba` een khareefa.

Anyone who fasted voluntary fasting in the way of Allah, Allah will make for him a distance between and hellfire so far, as 70 years. If you fast 2 days 140 years. It is enough is it not? I don’t think you will be so near to hellfire. We ask Allah ot forgive us and to take our fasting and turn into real fasting and to share our fasting with the fast of the Prophet (s). Our fasting is weak on and not up to the level. We ask Allah to share with us the Prophet (s)’s fasting.

Man sama Ramadan imanan wahtisaban ghufira lahu ma taqadama min dhanbih - anyone who fasted Ramadan and didn’t try to go to forbiddens and didn’t miss any day, then Allah will forgive him all his sins.

That means you are celebrating Ramadan Eid with all these other Muslims in all these other countries, what do you think will happen to you if you fasted Ramadan and tried to avoid all kinds of mistakes? Then you will be forgiven your sins. That means now you are clean. That hadith is in Bukhari and Muslim.

In Ramadan and at the end. The first ten days is forgiveness, the second ten days is mercy and last ten days is freedom from hellfire. Be happy that Allah has forgiven us. We believe in what the Prophet (s) said. For the sake of Your Prophet, O Allah, forgive us.

Wa `ani ’n-Nabi (s) idha ja Ramadan futihat abwabu jannah wa ghuliqat ababwabun-nar wa sufidat ash-shayateen.

That means that in Ramadan Allah opens His mercy to everyone and closes His hellfire from everyone and chains every devil. So what do you expected at the end Ramadan? Allah will forgive.

May Allah bless us on this Eid and give us good time and take all our problems from us and all our bad behavior and change to a good behavior.
