As-salaamu `alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh. Alhamdulillahi Rabbi 'l-`Alameen, wa ’s-salaatu wa ’s-salaamu `alaa ashrafi 'l-mursaleena Sayyidina wa Nabiyyina Muhammadin wa `alaa aalihi wa sahbihi ajma`een…. ( Opening du`a of khutbah.)

O Muslims brothers and sisters, I would like to apologize to you because the second floor is not yet finished so you have to squeeze a little bit.

O Muslims brothers and sisters! Salaamu `alaykum jamee`an. Allah granted us salaam:

Idhkuloohaa bi ’s-salaam dhaalika yawmu ’l-khulood

Enter this (paradise) in peace; this is the Day on which life abiding begins! (Surat al-Qaf, 50:34)

To enter with peace and safety, but enter what? Allah spoke with Sayyidina Musa (a) to enter Egypt safe, bi ‘s-salaam. Allah made the fire that Nimrod wanted to burn Sayyidina Ibraheem in safe:

Qulnaa yaa naaru koonee bardan wa salaaman `alaa Ibraaheem.

O fire! Be cool and peaceful on Ibrahim. (Surat al-Anbiyaa, 21:69)

He was sitting within fire--fire from the right, fire from the left, fire from the front and back--and Allah made the fire safe for Ibrahim (a) because anyone who goes to Allah (swt), Allah makes him safe. Allah said about Ashaab al-Kahf, the People of the Cave:

Fa-firroo ila-Allah.

Flee to Allah (from all that is false and evil)! (Surat adh-Dhaariyaat, 51:50)

There is no one whom can save you except Allah (swt), by giving shafa`ah to Prophet (s), to ask forgiveness on behalf of his ummah! So Allah wants us to run to Him, not to our ego or our self or our desires. When you run to Allah, what He says, as He said to the People of the Cave in Surat al-Kahf?

Take yourselves to the cave. Your Lord will shower His mercies on you and dispose of your affair towards comfort and ease. (Surat al-Kahf, 18:16)

Allah will dress you with His Rahmah. When Allah dresses you with rahmah, finished, you are safe in dunya and Akhirah! Allah dresses you from that rahmah, and who is that rahmah? Sayyidina Muhammad (s)! Allah will open a way to reach. Our goal is to reach Prophet (s). Why do you take a guide, why do you follow a guide? To guide you to Way of Rahmah, to guide you to the Way of Mercy! When you enter mercy, you are swimming in that ocean and you are finished!

Awliya run to Allah and Allah opened that rahmah. As long as you do your `amal with no arrogance, Allah is happy with you. When you do `amal and want to tell everyone about what you have done, Allah does not like that. Allah likes what you give with your right hand that the left hand doesn’t know (give freely, without accounting). Allah likes you to hide; He hides our sins. If Allah exposes us in Akhirah what will happen? We are lost.

Prophet (s) said to Sayyida `Ayesha (r), the wife of Prophet (s), and is there better? All wives of Prophet (s) are the best that were created of women, and they are the best over all the men Allah created. Can anyone say, wali or not wali, “I am better than Sayyida `Ayesha or Sayyida Khadija." No way! Allah made you, O women, who are always criticizing and complaining! Allah raised your level through the wives of Prophet (s) and Sahaabah (r) used to learn from them. Allah made people to be in need of them, to tell them what Prophet (s) used to say; they are being given a big honor. If you get that from the wives (r) and daughters (r) of Prophet (s), what do you want better than that? Your honor ladies today is from the honor of the wives of Prophet (s) and daughters of Prophet (s)! What do you want better than that? So what he said to Sayyida `Ayesha (r), “Ask Allah (swt) something important,” because people have to express their difficulties and inshaa-Allah Allah solves their problems and take away all our difficulties. He said, “Yaa `Ayesha! ask Allah an important thing: that Allah will not judge you on the Day of Judgment.”

That is Sayyida `Ayesha (r) wife of Prophet (s) and for the honor of Prophet (s) everyone can enter Paradise. For the honor of Sayyida `Ayesha (r), it is for her sake that everyone can enter Paradise! Sayyida Fatima’s (r) dowry was the ummah; she will not enter Paradise until the ummah enters, that was her dowry. She said, “Yaa Rasoolullah! You are my father and I want Sayyidina `Ali on one condition that if you grant me, then I will marry.

Prophet (s) said, “What is your condition, yaa Fatima?”

“I want like all your life you asked for the ummah” when you were born you asked for your ummah, on the day of your death you asked for your ummah, on the Day of Judgment you ask for your ummah, and I want that ummah (to be saved) as my dowry. Give me that and I will accept to marry.”

Jibreel (a) came and said, “Allah is happy with that; give them to her.”

So we are already in the dowry of Sayyida Fatima (r), and she is woman or a man? See the honor (Allah has granted them) and still they complain! Don’t complain as Allah doesn't like people to complain.

Prophet (s) said to Sayyida `Ayesha (r), “One thing you need to ask is important.”

You have to keep your ear hearing that word in order that you say that word and every moment remember to say that word or you will be a loser. We are losers. What is that? To say “astaghfirullah.” Are we remembering it every moment? No, we are not. So Prophet (s) said, “Ask Allah not to judge you, because if He judges you will be punished." And he (s) mentioned this authentic hadith:

Man hoosiba `udhdhib.

Who will be judged will be punished for sure. (Bukhari)

Anyone will be judged, as for sure angels will find something wrong and he will be punished! They open your books checking. Now in Arabic they say bahath, aw ibhath, “search.” Computers have search, it looks for you all this big engine searching through the whole books that are available in the world and even one word, not hundreds, in every page might be. Is there no heavenly search engine? Is there no engine that an angel can search? An angel doesn’t need to search; he points immediately where the sin is and even it is hidden under seven Earths he will bring it up. If we believed in Google and Yahoo search engines, why we are not believing in Prophet’s hadith? He is telling, “Yaa `Ayesha! I know there will be one day coming that people can search a word among millions of words, but heavenly angels can find a word for punishment of something hidden and you forgot about it completely.” Allahu Akbar! It is dangerous. So what we have to ask Allah? Not to judge us. If He does, we are lost! What Prophet said?

Akhwafu maa akhaafu `alaa ummattee ash-shirk al-khafee.

What I fear most for my ummah is hidden shirk.

‘Hidden’ means even under seven Earths or even hidden in this universe, which is bigger than seven Earths and this universe is part of our galaxy which has no beginning, no end! This universe has 6,000 galaxies according to physicists and if it is hidden anywhere, that shirk al-khafee angels can bring it out!

Fa firroo il-Allah.

Flee to Allah!

Flee from that hidden shirk. Are we falling? Yes. When you think your `amal is great, saying, “I did that,” that is hidden shirk. So what we have to do? To run to Allah, because if He orders an angel to find our mistakes, as Prophet (s) said to Sayyida `Ayesha (r) what about us:

?? ???? ?????? ??? ??????? ??? ???? ?? ???? ?? ????? ?????? ???? ?????? ?????? ????? ??? ????

`An Anas Ibn Malik (r) `ani ’n-nabi annahu qaal man faraq ad-dunya `ala ’l-ikhlaas lillaahi wahdahu laa shareeka lahu wa iqaami’s-salaati wa eetaa’iz-zakaati faaraqahaa w’allahu `anhu raad.

Whoever leaves this dunya on sincerity to Allah Alone without partner, and establishing the prayer and paying the zakaat, leaves it with Allah pleased with him. (Ibn Maajah and al-Haakim)

‘Who leaves dunya’ means who dies on sincerity, only for Allah (swt) that person, who leaves on sincerity and his worshipness to Allah and no shirk, and he made his prayers and did zakaat, he will die and Allah is happy with that person. So it is so simple to say, “Ash-hadu an laa ilaaha illa-Llah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadu ‘r-Rasoolullah.” You are saying, “Yaa Rabbee! I am not making shirk. If I did in the day, I am sorry and I am saying, “Ash-hadu an laa ilaaha illa-Llah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadu ‘r-Rasoolullah."

How many are saying Shahadah before sleeping? Are we remembering? Some yes, some no. Those who don't, try to do the Shahadah before you sleep, and don't let your prayer to be lost, pray to Allah and make sure you give in Allahs’s Way. You do everything for your way and when it comes to Allah's Way, people’s hands shake, although this is for your Akhirah, not dunya! For yourself you don't mind, you go to movies and buy popcorn and spend a lot of money, but when it comes to a masjid and they say give in Allah's Way, he looks, “How many pennies do I have and if I don't have, pass the bucket.” Why? How much does the movie cost? Easily ten pounds, with popcorn. Where is the sincerity to Allah? It is lost. Allah says “have sincerity to Allah (swt).”

When you have ikhlaas, you don't speak bad about each other. That is important.‘Ikhlaas’ has many meanings, one is sadaqa and support in Allah’s Way, some have money, so help them to continue doing it. So give as not everyone has that ability to do that by themselves, to do something for Allah (swt), to build a school or mosque or a hospital, so help them, be sincere! Don't build hate between brothers.

O Believers! Avoid suspicion as much as possible, for suspicion in some cases is a sin.

(Surat al-Hujuraat, 49:12)

O mu’min! Avoid doubting people because there will be a sin in it, don't spy on each other and don't backbite each other! Sincerity is not to backbite or spy or doubt your brother, give him the good doubts (benefit of doubt) and make him feel okay, if he makes a mistake try to hide it. Innahu as-Sattar, Allah is The Veiler. If Allah exposes our mistakes, what will happen? We have to be careful. Prophet (s) said, “If you have sincerity, and you have no shirk and you do prayer and give charity, Allah is happy and sends you to Paradise,” so what better do you want? We have to be happy that when we do that we enter that category, as Prophet (s) said:

?? ??? ?? ??? ??? ???? ??? ?????

Man qaala laa ilaaha illa-Llah dakhal al-Jannah.

Whoever says ‘Laa ilaaha illa-Llah’ enters Paradise.

What better do you want? Say, “Laa ilaaha illa-Llah Muhammadun Rasoolullah.” Now we are written from the People of Paradise, because Laa ilaaha illa-Llah Muhammadun Rasoolullah is a sword cutting all sins and when we say that, whatever we have done until today, all our sins are gone! I didn't say this, Prophet said it! Make your ijaazah to make (recite) “Laa ilaaha illa-Llah Muhammadun Rasoolullah” 100 times a day. Are you losing anything? When you sit watching the news for one hour, say 100 times, “Laa ilaaha illa-Llah Muhammadun Rasoolullah,” it is better. That is the problem. Shaytan is after us, he does not let us do. When we do it, it means Shaytan is running away. When you say, “Laa ilaaha illa-Llah Muhammadun Rasoolullah,” Shaytan runs away, and that is why you are in a Paradise. What is the difference between Paradise and not? It means no Shaytan! You want your day to be Paradise? Say, “Laa ilaaha illa-Llah Muhammadun Rasoolullah,” in the morning and in the evening, you enter Paradise and Allah will be happy with you! And I will end with this, it is really important. May Allah (swt) forgive us because we are not doing as it should be. We are losers, me and those like that.

Abu Hurayrah (r) said that Prophet (s) said:

?? ???? ???? ??? ????? ?? ??? ???? ?? ?????? ??? ????? ?? ??? ?????? ?? ??? ??? ????? ??? ???????

man ta`allama `ilman, mimmaa yabataghee bihi wajhallah laa yata`allamahu illa liyuseeba bihi `arada ad-dunya lam yajid `urfa’l-jannata yawm al-qiyaamah.

Whoever studied knowledge from what is sought for Allah’s sake but he does not teach it except to benefit from this world he will not find even the scent of Paradise on The Day of Rising. (Abu Dawood)

“Anyone who learns and studies a knowledge and from it he wants Allah’s love and forgiveness,” which means learning fiqh, hadith, tafseer and for Allah's sake he learned it, laa yat`allamahum illa yuseeba bihee `arada ’d-dunya, “but if that person who learned `Ilm al-Fiqh or tafseer or hadith and from that he wants only to get the benefit of dunya, to get money,” as now you have lots of websites where you register and they teach through Skype, are you making money or is it free? Some are free and some are not, and the hadith says, “for those that are free, if they don't charge for Allah’s sake they go to Paradise.” The other side is, who learned and he becomes a scholar, or it is not necessary that he becomes a scholar but he speaks to people and he charges something from dunya, of which you can find many, what Prophet (s) said? Lam yajid `urfa ’l-jannati yawm al-qiyaamah, “He will not find the nice smell of Paradise on the Day of Judgment,” `urfa ’l-jannati, he won’t find “the smell of Paradise.” It means you have to understand, the others who learn and do for Allah’s sake will find the nice smell of Paradise on the Day of Judgment.

May Allah bless us and guide us towards His Door and not to judge us!
