Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem
Alhamdulillahi Rabbi 'l-`Alameen, wa ’s-salaatu wa ’s-salaamu 'alaa ashrafi 'l-mursaleena Sayyidina wa Nabiyyina Muhammadin wa `alaa aalihi wa sahbihi ajma`een.
alhamdulillah Who has made us to come together with you at this wonderful invitation
Don't take me to task for my low voice because my voice is very low.
Alhamdulillahi Rabbi 'l-`Alameen, Who has gathered us with you and has gathered us with the good folks, and I have discussed with Shaykh Hassan the possibility of visiting Pakistan and it it would be an honor to visit you in your country when the chance comes. Insha Allah I will be your guest there.
Knowledge is of two types: `Ilm al-awraq, Knowledge of Papers and `Ilm al-Adhwaaq, Knowledge of Tastes. The importance is the Knowledge of Taste because `Ilm al-Awraaq can be read by anyone through books.
But the Knowledge of Taste is very hard to be read by anyone, that is why the Prophet (s) kept it hidden and only gave to specific persons of the Ummah from the Sahaba and the Awliya. Those who have eyes can see it and hear it through the Aqtaab, Poles of this Era: Qutb, Qutb al-Aqtab, Qutb al-Bilaad, Qutb al-Irshaad, Qutb al-Mutassarif are the ones who receive from Awliyaullah these kinds of knowledge.
The Prophet (s), no one can say that he (s) died! His secret is through these Awliya, and in every moment the Awliyaullah are looking at us and they can see what we are doing - especially those who have a murshid, they can see through the murshid what the Prophet (s) wants to show them.
The Sahaba, this knowledge was taken from the Prophet (s) by them and Awliya can be seen. That is why I said to Shaykh Hassan that he is one of the Awliya. The father, the sons and the family by making the khidmah to them and to the mureeds. They received this privilege from the Prophet (s).
I am someone who does not know anything, but what comes to my heart I speak it.
Qutb al-Aqtaab, the Pole of Poles, is responsible for these kind of events. Qutb al-Mutassarif, the Pole of Arrangement, is the one responsible for such kind of knowledge to be spread between the Ummah.
When I came to America the first place I put my feet was in New Jersey in a big mosque there and it was Jumu`ah. And I looked at the imam and I did not like him. He is an Egyptian but that does not mean anything special, he just looked like everybody else. At first I was looking and in his khutba he was cursing the Prophet (s) and Mawlid an-Nabi (s). I decided to attack him and from then I began my work. And by the permission of Awliyaullah, my murshid, they kept me there and I did my work until the people began to change [their `aqeedah] with respect to the Prophet (s) and to accept [love of] the Prophet (s) through Mawlid an-Nabi (s).
I got many threats and lately I got a death threat with five people and the government asked me to stop and I said, "No! I will not stop, until [I reach] my goal to [make everyone] to love the Prophet (s)."
Mawlid was banned in all America until we were fighting with them and negotiating until it was accepted. I wrote a book about it titled "Mawlid an-Nabi (s)" and now it is accepted and well-celebrated throughout the country. From that Milaad an-Nabi (s) which we did the first time when we made a conference attended by 20,000 people in America. And from that time til today Mawlid an-Nabi (s) is honored in every mosque, not only in America but all around the world. If you don't celebrate Mawlid today they call you 'kaafir'.
It is called Milaadu 'n-Nabi (s). That is how we have to know that respecting the Prophet (s) will open the hearts. Such events will open the hearts of the murshid to the students and the students will be connected with their murshid daily. Don't say, "I am not seeing anything during my Dhikr." No, everything will be written for you and slowly, slowly everything will be opened for you.
That is why `ulama said al-`Ilmu `Ilmaan, knowledge is of two types: `Ilm al-Awraq, Knowledge of Papers and `Ilm al-Adhwaaq, Knowledge of Tastes.
Knowledge of Taste is important because it is like someone who is eating and tasting, while the person who has `Ilm al-Awraaq is like someone watching a person eating but only seeing, not tasting.
The one eating tastes the food and is happy but the one watching gets no taste. The work of your murshid is to make the reading to be tasty. So connect more with your murshid you will see a lot of benefits.
This night is the night of the Prophet (s) because this meeting's only intent is to show love of the Prophet (s).
We seek from Allah that He guide us to what He likes and what pleases Him.
Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem
Alhamdulillahi Rabbi 'l-'Alameen, wa ’s-salaatu wa ’s-salaamu `alaa ashrafi 'l-mursaleena Sayyidina wa Nabiyyina Muhammadin wa `alaa aalihi wa sahbihi ajma'een
Praise be to Allah, a praise such that is equal to His favors, and is accepted to increase (His favors); a praise which is adequate to the magnificence of your Countenance and Grandeur of Your Kingship. O Allah! Grant us the favors of the mighty one before Allah, the blessing of the intimate friend of Allah, the intercession of the Messenger of Allah (s). Oh Allah honor the host of this dinner and those who eat from it. Oh Allah increase for them and us, and do not diminish for the sake of His Honored Prophet, upon whom be Allah’s peace and blessings.
Grant the reward of this gathering to the soul of the Prophet (s), to his family and his companions; and to our venerated teachers in the most distinguished NaqshbandI Tariqa and in all other distinguished Tariqas, and to the veracious ones.
We request Allah guide us to what He likes and what pleases Him and bless this food to be the nourishment of love and intimacy and establishing family ties between brothers and sisters and Allah is the Disposer and human beings are at His behest, and Allah is the One Who Destines all good. May He make us among those whom He favored and gather our hearts in love to each other.
All praise to Allah and prayers on His Prophet the Nabi (s) al-Mustafa and on his Family and Companions, bi-hurmatil-habeeb bi-hurmatil-Fatiha.
