As-salaamu `alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh. Alhamdulillahi Rabbi 'l-`Alameen, wa ’s-salaatu wa ’s-salaamu `alaa ashrafi 'l-mursaleena Sayyidina wa Nabiyyina Muhammadin wa `alaa aalihi wa sahbihi ajma`een.
Every matter in this dunya has a beginning and an end, and those who are at the beginning accepting Allah’s Order and Shari`ah go to Paradise. Those who do not accept Shari`ah, which is the Holy Qur’an and Holy Hadith, will be asked many questions on the Day of Judgement. Alhamdulillah, we are a group of people, now very few around the world, that complete the Shari`ah of Islam, like many other scholars who are completing Shari`ah, is love and peace, caring for Ummat an-Nabi (s).
Grandshaykh, may Allah bless his soul, said that when you say “Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem,” it has a tendency to pull you towards Paradise with no account. Anyone who wants to go to Paradise with no account, let him read “Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem.” Wa khuliqa ‘l-insaanu ajula, Allah created human beings that they are always in a hurry over matters that concern them and don’t concern them. If you are in a hurry you have to recite “Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem” to cool down.
All prophets were worried about their Ummahs and how they were going to be questioned on the Day of Judgement, and if so, they will be judged according to Allah’s Judgement or Prophet’s (s) Intercession. We have to be careful; without Prophet’s (s) Intercession nothing will happen. Everyone will go somewhere, like Prophet (s) said to Sayyida `Ayesha (r):
من حوسب عذب
(Yaa `Ayesha!) Who will be judged will be punished for sure. (Bukhari)
Not punished because he is asking for judgement, but when Allah selects someone for Judgement, all that one's deeds will be thoroughly scrutinized. There, there is no wali, no prophet, except Sayyidina Muhammad (s). I would like to mention this Hadith, then I will finish.
Abu Hurayra (r) narrated that the Messenger of God said, “When Allah created Adam He stroked his back and then every soul of his offspring that Allah would create until the Day of Resurrection fell from his back. He made every person among them into whiteness and light in between my eyes. Then He showed them to Adam. He said, ‘O Lord, who are these people?’ He (swt) said, ‘Your offspring.’ Adam saw a man among them that he liked who had whiteness between his eyes, and he said, ‘O Lord, who is this?’ He (swt) said, ‘Dawud.’ Adam said, ‘Lord, how old have You made him?/ He (swt) said, ‘60 years.’ Adam said, ‘Lord, give him 40 of my years.’” The Messenger of God Said, “When Adam’s years were up, minus 40, the Angel of Death came to him, and Adam said, ‘Do I not have 40 years remaining?’ He said, ‘Did you not give them to your son Dawud?’ Adam denied it, and his offspring denied it. Adam forgot and he ate from the tree. His offspring forgot and they sinned. (Bukhari, Muslim)
Out of love, when your son or daughter goes to school, you pat them on their back, is it not? Especially on the back. When Allah (swt) created Sayyidina Adam (a), he patted his back and did not stop until all human beings, dharra, were created from it. He said, “When He created Adam He ordered His angels to pet his back,” ikraaman li ‘n-Nabi (s), for the honor of Prophet (s), not anyone else, no other prophet.
So Allah pet his back, and when you pet you show mercy. It means, “Yaa Muhammad, I am dressing you with My Mercy.” We are from Ummat an-Nabi (s), we are being petted by Sayyidina Adam (a), by Prophet (s), and by Sayyidina Jibreel (a).
I heard an `alim shouting yesterday, as this is their way to convince people, but they don’t need convincing: keep them not responsible, don’t tell them everything. If you want to tell them something, first you must tell them Shari`ah and at the same time the Haqiqah. And that’s why Prophet (s) is everywhere as `abd: if Allah pet on the back of Adam he created Creation, so all this Creation is coming from the pet on the back of Sayyidina Adam (a). This is a big mercy to humanity! Everything came out from his back, after this petting: everything that breathes, even stones can breathe, all of them are created from the back of Sayyidina Adam.
From every creature that He created from the back of Sayyidina Adam (a) He created a light that comes from the Noor of Sayyidina Muhammad (s), like lasers that shoot lights. Lights were being shot into that association in the presence of Prophet (s), and Adam (a) was receiving that Noor, and also everyone here is receiving that Noor because you are in a gathering that speaks about it. If we say, “Muhammad,” it will be written for us until the Day of Judgement, “Muhammad, Muhammad, Muhammad,” and every time it’s mentioned more and more benefit comes to that person.
Now this association is mercy to you, alhamdulillah `alaa kulli haal. If you write “Muhammad” in a book, it will be written for you until the Day of Judgement. That’s why when Orientalists say “Muhammad,” they know there is a secret in it and they try to find out what it is. Some of them found it and became Muslim.
So from between the eyes of every human being ever created, a ray of light came out and then Allah presented them to Sayyidina Adam (a), who said, “O Allah, who are these people, You created from me worshipping You?” That light made them very clean, the black became white, ultra-violet light like jewels, and they are Ummat an-Nabi (s). I say another time, everyone sitting in this association will receive that level in the Day of Judgement and this session will not end here, it will continue to the Day of Judgement.
Allah answered, “They are your children.” Adam was surprised, Hawa (a) was not there yet, so he looked at them, wondering how they are his children, and we cannot say why or how, but what Allah likes, that is how it is. And he saw one of them whose beauty and form he liked; he saw a very nice person and asked about him, and Allah told him, “That man is one who will come from My Creation at the end, and his name is Dawud.”
Sayyidina Adam asked, “How many years have You given me to live in dunya?
He said, “I gave you sixty years.”
And Adam said, “Yaa Rabbee, I love that handsome man with light coming from his face. How many years of life did you give him?”
Allah said, “Sixty years.”
Then Adam said, “O my Lord, give him sixty years from my life,” so He gave Dawud sixty years.
When Dawud passed sixty years, Adam said, “What happened?” and Allah said, “That is Dawud; you gave him sixty years from your life (and some scholars say forty years).” That is where Allah reminded Adam that he had given forty years to Dawud. So Allah deducted from what He had, written for Bani Adam to die in a shorter time, as He had written 120 years for them, so cutting their full-length term of life, Allahumma salli `alaa Sayyidina Muhammad. And Adam was sad and said, “Yaa Rabbee, forgive me.” He was sorry about that.
May Allah forgive us, may Allah bless us, may Allah support us. There was someone who made calligraphy, copied to be as the original, or he copied books for people, which in Arabic is called nassaakh. So there was a nassaakh whose job was to copy books for people. They gave him a special book to copy and it had the name of Sayyidina Muhammad (s) on the outside. Look how Prophet (s) is merciful for his ummah. And the nassaakh saw Sayyidina Muhammad (s) in the dream, who told him, “I will give you something that, if you do it, you will be given Paradise.”
The nassaakh asked, “What is that?”
The Prophet (s) said, “In every book you write, if you pause every time you see the name “Muhammad” and say salawaat on the Prophet (s), on the Day of Judgement you will be with him.”
This means any book you copy for someone or print, and you make salawat, however many books are in the universe, then you will be given that benefit.
Sometimes they take you away to do something for Akhirah and it is not easy, not easy, it is very difficult. And alhamdulillah you can pass through. I passed through a big whole of time in order to sit here today, alhamdulillah with Mawlana's baraka, I am. We need to make sure we are on the Right Path, and on the right track and on the right way, and don't worry.
Man qaala laa ilaaha illa-Llah Muhammad Rasoolullah (s), “Who says there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah,” it has the name of Allah and the name of Muhammad, behind me. The benefit of that is as if everyone in this room read what is written there, “Allah” and “Muhammad” (s) (calligraphy directly behind Mawlana): they will get the benefit of Allah and get the benefit of Muhammad (s).
I will not keep you too long, this is going to be a big discussion about the benefit of mentioning the name of Muhammad (s), this is now just the beginning, and we want to keep that in our hearts.
Now it is time to make dhikr.
Wa min Allahi ‘t-tawfeeq, bi hurmai ‘l-Habeeb bi hurmai ‘t-Fatihah.
