Greetings of peace, mercy and the blessings of Allah be upon you O lovers and beloved ones of the Prophet of Allah (s), and O lovers and beloved ones of the Companions and the scholars and reciters of the Holy Qur'an and the Righteous Saints and the scholars and reciters of the Holy Qur'an who practice what they know, the reading and recitation of the Holy Qur'an.
Alhamdulillah, glory, praise and thanks to Allah who has made us part of the Nation of His Elect the Prophet (s) Sayyidina Muhammad (s), a nation that is truly beloved on the part of the Truth, Allah swt and a Nation that is truly beloved on the part of the Prophet (s), and a nation that is truly beloved from within the blessed chest of the Prophet (s) and in his heart.
Glory, praise and thanks to Allah. We glorify Him and we seek His Help and we seek His Guidance and we seek in refuge in Allah from the evil of our own selves and from the evil of our deeds. Whoever Allah guides there is no one to lead astray and whoever He leads astray there is no one that can guide him aright.
We have spoken much in the past and every moment elapsing is in the past, because time is passing quickly for the Nation and is spent quickly in the teaching of the Holy Qur'an. Insha-Allah we love the Holy Qur'an and we have been guided through the guidance of the Holy Qur'an. There are huge and momentous events taking place, aimed at the stopping of the teaching of the Holy Qur'an. But the Prophet (s) is the carrier of Holy Qur'an by the virtue of the Power and Might of Allah, Most High.
We are passing through a time that is rife with problems and obstacles, and we say:
إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ
Unto Allah we belong and to Him do we return. (Surat Al-Baqara, 2:156)
Whoever dies as a Muslim then forgiveness of their sins is their lot and theirs is the love of the Prophet (s).
The year 1442 has arrived and we are now in the era where the Awliyaullah obtained blessings from the era of the Prophet (s) and the great message of the Holy Qur'an came to the Prophet (s) filled with news of love of the Friends of Allah and love of the Companions of the Prophet (s). The Companions obtained blessings by means of the Prophet (s) and we are hoping to obtain the blessings of the Prophet (s). The Prophet (s) is our heart, the Prophet (s) is our love, the Prophet (s) is our might and our honor and the Prophet (s) loves his nation.
Therefore we must make ourselves tread the Path according to the sayings and ahadith of the Prophet (s). We ask and hope from Allah most high that He accept this from us and that He will cover us and our faults with His beautiful concealment.
Glory, praise and thanks to Allah swt, the Lord of the Worlds. Twenty years ago was a time they rejected celebrating the birth of the Prophet (s) and I faced forceful opposition to my efforts to renew its celebration after it had been suspended due to some people who were paid to prevent its remembrance in the US.
Glory, praise and thanks be to Allah, we have reached the brink of a pit and that brink is very short indeed but despite that there is a huge strength in it.
So take on the religion of the Prophet (s). When the Prophet (s) ascended on the Night of Mi`raj the Companions and the Awliya were singing and their recitation was a staggering miracle of beauty, and they learned the well-known power that is known as Mawlid an-Nabi (s) the celebration of the birth of the Prophet (s).
There would be no mosque in existence if not for our Prophet (s). He is our exemplar and he is our paradigm and our beloved and for him is our passionate longing. Insha-Allah we hope this festival of the new year is a festival among the brethren and between the Prophet (s) and the Muhammadan Ummah.
Many among the sayings and actions of the Prophet (s) are spreading far and wide at this time, and they are mentioned in the nasheeds, and our duty is to hold fast to those nasheeds after reading the Holy Qur'an in our schools and with our children and with love among our brethren. After that we recite Tala` al-Badru `Alayna, "The full moon rose over us from the Valley of Wada`" [reference to the entrance of the Prophet (s) into Madina.] Every such recitation and reading bears a share of staggering miracles and miraculous gifts so open your eyes and your hearts and insha-Allah you shall find many things.
And glory, praise and thanks be to Allah the Lord of the Worlds.
Celebrate the most Noble Holy Qur'an. Celebrate the Love of the Prophet (s) and the Companions, and glory, praise and thanks to Allah the Lord of the Worlds, al-Fatiha.
اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ أَوَّلَ سَنَتِنَا هَذَا صَلَاحاً وَأَوْسَطَهُ فَلَاحاً وَآخِرَهُ نَجَاحاً.
اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ أَوَّلَهُ رَحْمَةً وَأَوْسَطَهُ نِعْمَةً وَآخِرَهُ تَكْرِمَةً وَمَغْفِرَةً.
الحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِي تَوَاضَعَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ لِعَظَمَتِهِ وَذَلَّ كُلُّ شَيْء
ٍ لِعِزَّتِهِ وَخَضَعَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ لِمُلْكِهِ وَاسْتَسْلَمَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ لِقُدْرَتِهِ .
وَالحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِي سَكَنَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ لِهَيْبَتِهِ وَأَظْهَرَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ بِحِكْمَتِهِ وَتَصَاغَرَ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ لِكِبْرِيَائِهِ.
اللَّهُمَّ أَيْقِظْنَا فِي أَحَبِّ السَاعَاتِ إِلَيْكَ يَا وَدُودُ يَا ﴿ ذُو الْعَرْشِ الْمَجِيدُ فَعَّالٌ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْجُنُودِ فِرْعَوْنَ وَثَمُودَ بَلِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فِي تَكْذِيبٍ وَاللهُ مِن وَرَائِهِم مُّحِيطٌ بَلْ هُوَ قُرْآنٌ مَّجِيدٌ فِي لَوْحٍ مَّحْفُوظٍ.﴾
O our Lord! Make the beginning of this year goodness, its middle happiness, and its end success.
O our Lord! Make its beginning mercy, its middle bounty and its ending generosity and forgiveness. All praise be to Allah who humbled every-thing before His Greatness, made all things subservient before His Honor, brought low all things before His Kingship and made all things submit to His Power. And all praise to Allah who made all things tranquil before His Majesty, and made everything appear through His wisdom, and humbled all things before His Pride. O our Lord! Wake us in the time most beloved to Yourself, O Loving One, O Lord of the Throne of Glory, Doer (without let) of all that He intends.
Has the story reached thee, of the forces Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! But Allah doth encompass them from behind! Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! (Surat al-Buruj, 85:15-22)
اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا وَ لِجَمِيعِ المُؤمِنِينَ وَ المُؤمِنَات، وَالُمسْلِمِينَ وَ الُمسْلِمَات، اَللأحيَاءِ مِنهُم وَ اَلأَمْوَات، وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِالْإِيمَانِ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ فِي قُلُوبِنَا غِلًّا لِّلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ رَؤُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ يَا أَرحَمَ الرَاحِمِين
O Allah forgive me my sins and my parents’ just as they raised me when I was small and to all the believers, men and women, and all the Muslims, men and women, both the living among them and the dead. And “Forgive us, and our brethren who came before us into the Faith, and leave not, in our hearts, rancour against those who have believed. Our Lord! Thou art indeed Full of Kindness, Most Merciful.” (Surat al-Hashr, 59:10) O Most Merciful of those who show mercy!
و صلى الله على سيدنا و نبيينا محمد و على أله و صحبه أجمعين. سُبْحَانَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ الْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ وَسَلَامٌ عَلَى الْمُرْسَلِينَ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ رَبَنَا تَقَبَل مِنَّا بِحُرمَةِ مَن أَنزَلتَ عَليهِ سِرِسُورَةِ الفَاتِحَة.
Blessings upon our master Prophet Muhammad and upon his Family and all his Companions. Glory be to Your Lord, the Lord of Power, above what they describe! And peace be upon the Messengers. Praise belongs to God, the Lord of the Worlds. O our Lord accept from us for the sake of the one on whom You revealed secrets of the Opening Chapter of the Quran.
