Sit, sit. [Mawlana Shaykh Hisham remains standing.] I was coming here, and Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (q) inspired me to say, “I am not happy: I don’t want my mureeds after me fighting.” There is a hidden fight and we want to keep it down, so everyone has to renew his bay`a with Mawlana Shaykh by raising his hand. [Mawlana recites the Naqshbandi bay`a.]
بَلْ أَحْيَاء عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ
No, they live, finding their sustenance provided in the Presence of their Lord. (Surat Aali-`Imraan, 3:169)
We receive all kinds of rizq and they give that, so what have the people done? Why did they become sad, and why are they fighting with each other? We don’t want to stand in front of Prophet (s) feeling ashamed, we want to stand in front of Prophet (s), Grandshaykh, all of them, and Awliyaullah happy: we don’t want Awliyaullah to turn their faces away from us. So I’m not pointing to who, but yaa Sayyidee, yaa Sultan al-Awliya, yaa Shaykh `AbdAllah ad-Daghestani, Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Haqqani … qul laa ilaaha illa-Llah Muhammadun Rasoolullah `alayha nahya wa `alayha yumeet wa alayha, and you, will you accept? [Yes!] Fatihah.
This is the sweat of Prophet (s), do you see it? This is going to witness for us on the Day of Judgement, and Allah will forgive everyone's sins. When it comes to Awliyaullah, Allah will forgive as He loves His Awliya, He loves the Sahaabah of Prophet (s), He loves the Anbiya. So let us be at least Awliya, and as we cannot we are asking, “Yaa Sayyidee, yaa Rasoolullah, make us Awliya,” because we are weak people with no power in anything! And you can see them fighting fiercely, like when Maalik al-Mawt comes to take the soul. We don’t want to fight, we want to say, “Yaa Rabbee! Inna nuhibbuk ahibboonee wa hubbakum. As-salaamu `alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh.” [Mawlana sits.]

Why don’t we read al-Burdah, as it includes Mawlid. It's author, Muhammad al-Busayri (q), said it’s enough to recite the Mawlid chapter. No `alim or speaker can bring the level of Muhammad al-Busayri's knowledge, his Mawlid is above others; after Dalaa`il al-Khayraat is al-Burdah. It is said Sayyidina al-Busayri (q) is one of the big Awliya. He wrote this by going to the shore of the Nile River with his followers, where he saw what he saw and fixed what he fixed. He put his feet in the water and recited, “Laa ilaaha illa-Llah Muhammadan Rasoolullah.”
[Mawlana recites the Mawlid in Arabic, with an explanation in English.] SubhaanAllah, he says, “When Allah created Creation, first He created that Light in Mecca tul-Mukarramah, and the Noor that was under Allah’s Gaze, he ordered Jibreel (a) to put it in Kaaba tul Musharrafah.” That’s why when we go to Mecca tul-Mukarramah we go round the place where they put the Kaaba.
“After that Noor was under Allah’s Gaze for 2,000 years, and some Ahadith say 70,000 years, Allah (swt) took that Noor out, then the entire universe shone and there will be no more zhulma.” That is why when you look into the skies you see above the atmosphere is dark, there is no light. That is where Allah didn’t gaze. Whatever Allah gazed upon at that time illuminated the universe!
That is where Sayyidina Muhammad (s) was put and still he was in the womb of his mother, he had not been born yet. So that night he didn't get out from the House of Allah (swt) in Mecca tul Mukarramah, where every Nabi stood in a line. Then Allah (swt) gazed upon Prophet (s) with the power of Bahr al-Qudrah, the Noor Allah (swt) gave to Prophet (s), and no one was able to see it.
He put it in that misbah, Lamp. So the Light of Prophet (s), his existence from that time, was put in that Noor and he became the Noor, and from him Creation was created, and Allah made him understand Creation and how it moves from time to time.
He (swt) said about the Light, al-Masoon: “As I have created the Light and the secret of that Light, I send it to Prophet (s), and he sends it everywhere, and wherever it touches becomes a human being. He filled the Earth with that Noor and I am responsible for him.” It means Allah is responsible for anyone that touched that Noor and they will be touching Heavens. That is why we go to Mecca: to touch the Noor of the Ka’bah, because it contains the Prophet’s power and his Noor!
“I filled the Earth and the whole universe with his Light, and I protect him, and I will clean him and his Family.”
Who is his Family? Sayyidina al-Hasan, Sayyidina al-Husayn, Sayyida Fatima Zahra, and Sayyidina `Ali are the Family of Prophet (s). They have honor and Ahlu ‘s-Sunnah wa ‘l-Jama`ah honored them more than any other creatures on Earth: whatever respect they give to them, our respect is higher and higher and higher. Ahlus ‘s-Sunnah wa ‘l-Jama`ah are connected with Allah’s Noor, so they never go down, they always go up! Be happy!
All Heavens are filled with that Noor that now reaches everyone in our jama`ah, because they are celebrating Prophet's birthday according to the reality of the Mawlid, not like others with no goal, who only read it quickly and leave. There is no “read and go”, there is Noor and zhulma will go, it will be replaced with Noor an-Nabi (s).
