Earthquakes Are Coming before and after Armageddon

Armageddon Series, Part 1

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani

18 December 2013 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Suhbah at a Private Residence

Last week, they opened a center in Kedah, Malaysia. It was more than that ten times. And they invited me to the masjid to give a lecture, and there were at least 5,000 people. And most of them, young people like this, between the ages of 18 and 25, were the majority. Ten percent were like me, old people. And subhaanallah, they are so much into the love of Prophet (s) and learning Shari`ah. And I was happy that our people are learning Shari`ah and most of you must do the same thing. Don't say there is no Shari`ah! In Islam, there is Shari`ah. First, there is Shari`ah, then there is Tariqat. First, our son will collect from zaawiya people. If you don't have something, put your credit card or watch! (Laughter.) If you don't have now, you can give tomorrow.

Allahumma salli `alaa Muhammad! Allahumma salli `alaa Sayyidina Muhammad hatta yarda Sayyidina Muhammad (s). Alhamdullahi Rabbi 'l-`Alameen. As-salaatu wa ‘s-salaam `alaa ashrafa ‘l-mursaleen, wa shafi`ee al-mudhnibeen. (Du`a.)

Viewers, wherever you are, as-salaamu `alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh. Insha-Allah, this evening, whatever will come in the heart I will try to explain. I need what I say. If what I say is correct, you take it; if I say something else, forgive me.

In Allah's eyes, we are all equal. In Allah Subhanahu wa Ta`ala's love for everyone we are equal, as Prophet (s) said:

االناس سواسيه كااسنان المشط

An-naasu sawaasiyatan ka-asnaani' l-masht.

People are equal like the teeth of a comb.

People are equal like the comb of a teeth: all of them are perfect. If you have one up or one down it will not comb properly, it must be equal so that it is easy to comb your hair or beard and if not equal, you might have a wound or pain. So Prophet (s) want to tell us that Allah created human beings equal in everything.

Laa farqa bayna `arabiyy wa laa `ajamiyy illa bi ’t-taqwaa.

There is no difference between Arabs and non-Arabs (one race and another) except in piety.

There is no difference between a believer and a non-believer, between a Muslim Arab and non-Muslim Arab, all are equal, except by virtue of taqwaa. So you must not try to say that I know more than you or you know more than me, we must all try to be equal. For that reason, we have to be very careful in understanding our limits, the red lines. You cannot cross red lines, red lights. Without fiqh, without learning Shari`ah, everyone might cross a red line without knowing, and since you are mature, above fifteen years of age, it will be considered against you. I am not saying this to make you afraid, but because I love to see young ones--old ones are finished (laughter)--but young ones have time to learn Shari`atullah, to learn what Allah wants from us, what Allah ordered us to do and prohibited us to do, in order to attain His ridaa, satisfaction. What we must know now is that too many Signs now appearing in the sky as we say:

سَنُرِيهِمْ آيَاتِنَا فِي الْآفَاقِ وَفِي أَنفُسِهِمْ

Sanureehim aayaatinaa fi 'l-aafaaq wa fee anfusihim.

We are going to show them Our Signs in the horizons and in themselves. (Surat al-Fussilat, 41:53)

“We are going to show them signs in the horizon” means even if the horizon is far in your eyes, but in Allah’s eyes it is near It means, “We are going to show them what is going to happen in the future, in the horizon that is slowly, slowly approaching.” That horizon is Armageddon, the horizon that is slowly coming towards us is Armageddon, it is the Day of Destruction, the Day of War, the day where everyone will be hiding himself or herself in order to be safe! Too many Signs coming today that we are seeing in front of our eyes. Look what happened three weeks ago in the Philipines. How many deaths there? They say ten-thousand were killed, but at least fifty-thousand were killed in five minutes! Look what is happening in the Middle East, look what is happening everywhere. If awliyaullah were not holding it, it will have blown up this whole Earth. So now we are inside that hurricane, we are inside that tornado, we are inside that evil power that everyone is trying to avoid. So to avoid that it is very simple: don't be munaafiq. Insha-Allah, we are not munaafiqoon. We are not people who say something and do something else, or say something in someone’s absence and then in his presence say something else to make him happy, no. So we have to eliminate that if we want to survive.

Prophet (s) said:

Aayatu ’l-munaafiqu thalaatha: idhaa haddatha kadhab, wa idhaa wa`ada akhlaf, wa idhaa ‘tumina khaan.

The signs of a hypocrite are three: when he speaks he lies, and when he makes a promise he breaks it, and when he is charged with a trust, he deceives. (Bukhari)

The signs of a hypocrite are three. Let us analyze and see if these three things are within us or not. If they are not within us, alhamdulillah we are out of it. If they are within us, we have to try and purify and eliminate them from our lives.

The first sign of a munaafiq is, idhaa haddatha kadhab, when he opens his mouth he lies, and lying is not accepted. The first sign means the major sign, that when a munaafiq speaks he lies. It means a lie is completely forbidden.

Quli ‘l-haqq wa law `alaa nafsik,

Speak the truth, even if it be against yourself. (Inscription on the Prophet’s sword)

Say what is true, although it may be bitter and displeasing to people. (Bayhaqi)

If you did something wrong, say, “I did something wrong.” You don’t need to say it in front of people, it is between you and Allah. Don't repeat it. And also say, "astaghfirullah." Idhaa haddath kadbhab, if he speaks, he lies.

One time the Sahaabah (r) asked the Prophet (s), “Yaa Rasoolullah! Does the mu’min steal or rob?" The Prophet (s) replied, "Perhaps." They asked, "Does the mu’min make zina (adultery)?" The Prophet (s) replied, "Perhaps." They asked, "Does the mu’min steal?" The Prophet (s) replied, “Perhaps.” Then they asked him, "Does the mu’min lie?" To this the Prophet (s) replied, "This, no!" Then the Prophet (s) followed it by (reciting), “Only they invent falsehood who believe not Allah's revelations, and (only) they are the liars.” [Surat al-Nahl, 16:105] (Kanzu ’l-`Ummal, 8994)

And Prophet (s) was asked, "Yaa Rasoolullah, can the mu'min steal?” Prophet (s) said, "Rubbamaa, might be." Might be a Muslim will go and steal money or steal jewellery or something. He said, “Might be, he might do it.” You don’t know why and too many people in history were stealing. Might be some people have a project, they have to get money and might be someone comes and steals, and this happens a lot! This is the Sign of the Last Days. This is the sign of the hurricane, the tornado we are in. This is a Sign of Armageddon that we are in it! Then they asked him (s), "Does a Muslim commit adultery?" Prophet (s) said, "Might be." Adultery is one of the major sins and we are not allowed to do it. Ma`siya kabaa’ir, it is not easy. May Allah forgive all of us. Then they asked, "Does a Muslim lie?" To make fitna or make business, lying to everyone, taking their money. Does this happen between communities? It happens. What Prophet (s) said, amma hadhihi fa laa, “This, no way!" A Muslim cannot lie. If we consider ourselves Muslim, we must not lie in any way.

Are we lying? (Yes.) You are still not admitting. Are we lying? (Yes!) Say, "astaghfirullah," Allah will forgive. We are lying, to whom? The biggest lie...you might lie between two brothers, or you might lie between two sisters, but there is a big lie that we are lying against Allah (swt), that we said something in one time and ignored or breached it in another time. We confirmed something and later we changed it.

Alastu bi-rabbikkum qaaloo balaa.

"Am I not your Lord (Who cherishes and sustains you)?" They said, "Yes, we do testify!"

(Surat al-`Araaf, 7:172)

When Allah (swt) in the Day of Promises asked, "O human beings! Am I not your Lord?" Qaaloo balaa, “They said, ‘Yes, Rabbee!’” When they said, “Yes,” in that Ocean of Knowledge, in that Ocean of Souls, together, saying in one voice, al-Muslimoon, all Muslims said, “Yes, Yaa Rabbee, anta Rabbunaa, You are our Lord, nahnu `ibaaduk and we are Your servants." We all agreed. When you agree on something, what happens? It is a contract. When you breach your contract in dunya, what happens? They sue you and put you in prison. What do you think about breaching your contract with Allah (swt)? When we agreed, “Anta Rabbuna wa nahnu `ibaaduk,” we agreed on, “Laa ilaaha illa-Llah Muhammadun Rasoolullah.” Ash-hadu an laa ilaaha illa-Llah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadu ‘r-Rasoolullah, “We bear witness that You are our Creator and we are Your servants.” We came to dunya and we breached the contract, because in the contract, when you say, “Ash-hadu an laa ilaaha illa-Llah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammad rasoolullah” (Shahadah), there is a contract with Allah (swt) and you accepted the Five Pillars of Islam. There is Shahadah: ash-hadu an laa ilaaha illa-Llah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan rasoolullah, waiqaamu ‘s-salaat, wa eetaa`u ‘z-zakaat, wa sawmu ramadan, wa hajju‘l-bayt.

How many Muslims are not fulfilling that requirement? Even when Muslims are praying, they are not fulfilling requirements as sometimes they do not pray on time or sometimes, they pray one time and next time they don't pray. It happens or not? So they are breaching the contract. So what happens when you breach your contract? Punishment. So that is why we have to be careful to learn not to breach the contract with Allah (swt) and not to breach it is to learn Shari`ah. When you learn, then you will not lie because you will know the basis of the structure, the foundation of your building. This building cannot be built without a foundation; if the foundation goes, this building will fall down. Allah gave us a structure, a foundation, which is the Five Pillars of Islam, then He gave us the building, which is Maqaam al-Imaan, the Six Pillars of Imaan: `amantu billahi wa malaa’ikatihi wa kutubihi wa rusulih wa bi ‘l-yawmi ‘l-aakhiri wa bi ‘l-qadri khayrihi wa sharrihi. Then the decorations of the building is Maqaam al-Ihsaan, the Station of Perfected Conduct, “to worship Allah as if you are seeing Him, for even if you are not seeing Him, He is seeing you.” So how are you going to lie to Allah (swt), Who is seeing you? Is He seeing us? (Yes!) May Allah forgive us.

Sayyida `Ayesha (r), when she was making du`a, Prophet (s) told her to make du`a that she not be judged, because anyone who will be judged, for sure he will be punished, because then He will check everything. He will order angels to check everything and for sure they will find many things wrong. Like when the US Internal Revenue Service audit for income tax, they check everything to find you guilty. Then, Allah will forgive you in order to show you His mercy, but we must not take advantage from Rahmatullahi ’l-wasi`a, Allah’s Rahmah, that will manifest on Muslims on the Day of Judgement. So don’t breach your contract.

How not to? By studying you know the limits. When you go for a driver's license exam, what do they ask you? To drive with the inspector. And what happens if you make one mistake? Finished, you cannot get your driver’s license because you might trespass the limits, you might move over a red line. So you don't want that and you have to make a strong structure, you have to learn your limits and your limits cannot be known except through Shari`ah. Tariqat will give the spiritual aspect of it, but Shari`ah will give you the foundation aspect; you cannot build spirituality on no foundation or it will be like imaginary, built on air, telling you what is behind this wall…. No, you want to know where the wall is so that you don't hit your head, unless you like to hit your head? Okay, if you do, then don’t study Shari`ah, go hit your head! Armageddon is coming and it will take you and go. So do you want to hit your head? So then, you have to learn your limits.

When they are constructing a building, they put a yellow line or makers on the street for you to know if you step inside you will hit your head or you will be killed. Prophet (s) said about the munaafiq, “When he speaks, he lies,” so we have to know the limits where we cannot lie. It is dangerous. I am not trying to scare you, but it is necessary sometimes to hear something, and I am traveling around the world and I am seeing young ones trying their best to learn fiqh, except Mawlana’s followers, I am not seeing them studying fiqh. Why? I don’t know. I am seeing that many doctors are taking a leave of absence and taking crash courses in fiqh, in learning Shari`ah, and they come back with knowing their Shari`ah, but you don't see anyone here doing that. It is not a mazra`a, a farm, it is a garden! On a farm it is dangerous to move as you don’t know where there is a snake, but this group is a garden. Keep your garden protected by Shari`ah!

The second sign of a munaafiq is idhaa tuminaa khaan. If you trust him, he betrays your trust. If you give him something as amaanah, he will not give it back to you. So then what do you do? You sue him and then he goes to jail. That is for dunya laws. Allah (swt) said in the Holy Qur’an:

إِنَّا عَرَضْنَا الْأَمَانَةَ عَلَى السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَالْجِبَالِ فَأَبَيْنَ أَن يَحْمِلْنَهَا وَأَشْفَقْنَ مِنْهَا وَحَمَلَهَا الْإِنسَانُ

إِنَّهُ كَانَ ظَلُومًا جَهُولًا

We did indeed offer the Trust to the Heavens and the Earth and the Mountains, but they refused to undertake it, being afraid, but Man undertook it. Lo! He has proved a tyrant and a fool.

(Surat al-Ahzaab, 33:72)

Allah is saying, “We offered our Trust to Paradise, Heavens, Earth and mountains to carry it. They refused and said, “Yaa Rabbee we cannot carry that Trust, it is too much,” they ran away from it. "Yaa Rabbee! We cannot carry that trust, it is heavy." Who can carry it? If mountains and Earth cannot carry it, human beings with their ignorance, took it! Allah Ta`ala said, "Human beings were oppressors, ignorant and they didn’t know how to keep it safe." Idhaa tuminaa khaan, they took it but they betrayed Allah because they did not keep His amaanat clean, they didn’t keep their salaat clean, their sadaqah clean, they didn’t keep their fasting clean, they didn’t keep their Hajj clean, they blended it with too many sins here and there. So what is the benefit? He betrayed the Trust. Did you betray the trust? Too many times, all of us. So what is Allah saying - If you want to repent I am waiting for you. Repent. Say, "astaghfirullah." (Everyone repeats astagfirullah).

When you want to travel at 3 a.m. in the morning, do you set an alarm to wake you up? When Fajr comes do you put an alarm? Why for travel you put an alarm to catch the plane, when for prayer, which is more important, you don’t put an alarm? Why? We have to understand what is inside us that anything that is for Allah (swt) we delay it, anything for dunya, immediately we run after it! What kind of magic? It is a black magic from Shaytan because there is a clot in the heart of human beings that Shaytan can come in and out, Allah said that and Prophet (s) said that. We have to be very careful. Why are we carrying a phone? This is his phone; is in there an alarm system? Is there an alarm (reminding us) to say, "astaghfirullah”? Why not? Every moment when we go out on the streets, or in the malls we make sins. We see everything, do our eyes not make sin, men and women? Say istaghfaar, so remind yourself, at least Allah gave you something to remind you, put an alarm system every half hour to remind you to say, "astaghfirullah." Might be you are in middle of a sin and the alarm rings for you to say, “astagfirullah,” and you will be saved! This (cell phone) is not only for dunya, it can also be for Akhirah.

The last sign of a hypocrite, the third one is idhaa wa`ada akhlaf (la yufee wa`dahu), if he promises, he does not fulfill his promise. These are the signs of a hypocrite from Prophet (s).

Prophet (s) was traveling from his city to another city far away and they stopped by a grave and one of the Companions of Prophet (s) said, "Yaa Rasoolullah, I have something to do in that village and will come back." The Prophet (s) said, “I will wait for you,” he promised. That Sahaabi left, and prayer times occured, `Isha even, but he didn't come. They prayed all the prayers and Prophet (s) was waiting. Sahaabah (r) said to Prophet (s), "Let's go," but Prophet (s) said, “If a mu'min promises, he has to fulfill that, I am waiting until he comes.” And the next day, that one came back and Prophet (s) was waiting and he didn’t scold him. What happens if we are in Prophet (s)'s place? Do we wait? No, we leave him and go back! We might wait a half-hour or one hour and then we would go. Prophet (s) waited. These are signs today that we see, Signs of Armageddon. Armageddon is moving with all its speed. The destruction of the world is coming. The major earthquake that is going to happen on Earth is coming. You cannot say, “No.” It is in Holy Qur’an:

When the Earth quakes with her [last] mighty quaking and [when] the Earth yields up her burdens and man cries out, "What is the matter with her?" On that Day will she recount all her tidings, as your Sustainer will have inspired her to do! On that Day will all men come forward, cut off from one another, to be shown their [past] deeds. And so, he who shall have done an atom's weight of good shall behold it and he who shall have done an atom's weight of evil shall behold it. (Surat Zalzala, 99:1-8)

Inside of the Earth will come out. At that time, Earth will tell its story of what it has seen, from everyone who lived on it, from human beings, from insects, from birds, from fish, from trees, from mountains, from oceans, from villages, from rivers, from everything that will tell its story what everyone has done. Allahu Akbar! Say astaghfirullah that it will not tell our story. Yaa Rabbee, we are asking forgiveness, hide our stories or else man husib `udhib, who will be judged will be punished. That is coming!

Today in the Phillipines they said, "ِA tsunami is coming, everyone has to run away." They tried their best to save people, but still thousands and thousands, tens of thousands died. In Banda Aceh, Indonesia, they say 250,000 died, but Vice President Yusuf Kalla told me it was a half million, maybe more. In Syria, it is from under their feet and now coming from skies; punishment is coming on them and killing hundreds and thousands, they say 130,000, but at least 200,000 or 300,000! Two million to three million refugees, one-and-a-half million in Lebanon, 600,000 in Jordan, 600,000 in Turkey, and hundreds of thousands have run away with their passports they are able to pass to different countries. The major one is coming! That is a Sign, that is epsillon compared to infinity, which means less than an atom compared to what has no beginning or end. What we are seeing is nothing. About what is coming, Grandshaykh, may Allah bless him, Shaykh `AbdAllah al-Fa’iz ad-Daghestani said, "People will be walking on dead bodies. A child of seven years, his hair will become white. There will be no child of seven years except his hair is white, they become older than their ages." This is coming! And we are not listening and taking care and being careful.

Inshaa-Allah, we will speak on Friday in the zawiya and anyone who wants to come is welcome. May Allah protect us from this big earthquake coming on Earth:

يَوْمَ تُبَدَّلُ الأَرْضُ غَيْرَ الأَرْضِ وَالسَّمَاوَاتُ وَبَرَزُواْ للّهِ الْوَاحِدِ الْقَهَّارِ

Yawma tubaddalu ‘l-ardu ghayra ‘l-ardi wa ‘s-samawaatu wa barazoo lillahi ’l-waahidi ’l-qahaar.

One day the earth will be changed to a different earth, and so will be the heavens, and (men) will be marshalled forth, before Allah, the One, the Irresistible; (Surat Ibrahim, 18:48)

When the Earth will be changed to another Earth. A new Earth will come, as Allah is saying in Holy Qur`an, we are not saying this. Allah is not going to judge us on dirty Earth, and samawaat, the universe, will be changed and a whole new Earth will come. Allah is saying this, not us. Everyone will find himself on a new Earth. Allah is not going to judge us on a dirty Earth, Allah is going to judge His servants on clean Earth as Allah does not descend on a dirty Earth. He will demolish this Earth and create another Earth and bring everyone.

May Allah forgive us. May Allah bless us.

Bi hurmati 'l-habeeb, bi hurmati 'l-Fatihah.

We have to be careful as there is Armageddon. I have a book about Armageddon in Arabic and English. You can see where it is selling, not that I am trying to advertise, but you can see where we are standing these days. If you cannot get it, it is available on Amazon.

May Allah forgive us. May Allah bless us.

(Fatihah.)
