Salaam `alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh. Alhamdulillahi Rabbi 'l-'Alameen, wa ’s-salaatu wa ’s-salaamu 'alaa ashrafi 'l-mursaleena Sayyidina wa Nabiyyina Muhammadin wa 'alaa aalihi wa sahbihi ajma`een
Alhamdulillah `alaa ni`amihi zhaahiran wa baatinan. We have to thank Allah (swt) for His Favors on us. Dunya is not going to last and you cannot take dunya in the grave with you. What you do of good stays for you, for Akhirah. Any good `amal you do, Allah (swt) keeps it for you for Akhirah, where you will be rewarded endless rewards. Any bad `amal you do, Allah will not let the angels write it immediately and if you say “astaghfirullah” during that day or night, Allah will erase that sin and reward you with ten hasanaat. It is not worth it in dunya too much except to be a trustworthy person, a loveable person, and a caring person. Today we see people fight for no reasons.
Today Dato Abdul Jalil, one of the best mureeds of Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Adil (q) and the first one in Malaysia, passed away just now. He took care of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim for many years. Whenever Mawlana went to Malaysia, he was a pioneer in hosting. He hosted Mawlana Shaykh and me for over 27 years, until our last trip when I went there in December, I was hosted in his same guest house and his wife did her best always to accommodate us.
He just left dunya after struggling with kidney failure for over ten years. What did he take with him? Nothing from dunya, which he has as he is rich and generous person. He did not take that, but he took his good `amal. Because of him, Allah (swt) made everything possible in Malaysia. He and I were the first to open the center in Malaysia; we opened and registered a charity, an Islamic organization, and that is impossible to be approved nowadays. It was approved because of one lady, who is a lawyer and daughter of a prime minister; she took our application to the ministry and they signed it for her. This how we formed the first organization in Malaysia, the Naqshbandi Sufi Order. We went going from one street to another to find a place for a zawiya, and from home to home to do dhikr until he, and with the help of some other people, we found a place, a location to make a zawiya, where they are making dhikr up to today with at least two or three hundred people.
Through Mawlana's power and the help of Shaykh Abdul Jalil, with His Royal Highness Raja Ashman Shah, the son of the Sultan of Perak, we were able to reach all ministers and all prime ministers, and many ministers and prime ministers and members of parliament have either heard of Mawlana Shaykh or have taken baya` with him; three prime ministers took baya` with him and many other ministers, and Abdul Jalil was backing that. He had a good relationship with politicians and he was backing these things and everything was going very smoothly in Malaysia. He was a pioneer in helping and through his help we have opened many places.
So today he passed away, just half-an-hour ago. Do you remember when we read Surat al-Fatihah? That moment is when he passed away, when we read the Fatihah and asked for cure, then he passed away. It (his passing) was locked until we recited Surat al-Fatihah.
It is our duty to pray Salaat al-Ghaa’ib on him and we dedicate this dhikrullah for him and recitation of Surat Yaseen. I will ask everyone to recite and raise their voice, especially Imam Sahib, as my voice is not strong. We are asking Allah to accept from us this dhikrullah and for the sake of the Prophet (s) and Awliyaullah, to be written on the soul of Shaykh Abdul Jalil.
