(Translated from Turkish)
(Musical performance for Sultan al-Awliya)
This instrument was played in palaces in the presence of sultans; it is not a new invention. They used to play this instrument in the presence of the sultan for his relaxation. It is mulooki, royal. The jaariyahs used to play them. (Mawlana Shaykh sneezes.) For the honor of `alayhi ‘s-salaatu wa ‘s-salaam. (Mawlana Shaykh stands.) Allah Almighty had us listen to this as a means to lift the burden off our shoulders. (Mawlana Shaykh sits.) Inshaa-Allah, we hope to listen to poems from Heavens.
Fatihah.
