As-salam `alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhuh.
Alhamdulillahi Rabbi 'l-`Alameen, wa ’s-salaatu wa ’s-salaamu `alaa ashrafi 'l-mursaleena Sayyidina wa Nabiyyina Muhammadin wa `alaa aalihi wa sahbihi ajma`een.
We are going to be brief concerning the problem that has arisen for humanity. This is the state of war against an unknown (enemy) and we have to be careful to follow whatever the government says to us.
Grandshaykh and Mawlana Shaykh Nazim have said that during a state of war, be in your home and don't do other than Dhikrullah and Khatm [to try to change it], and we are likewise saying this. We don’t enter into politics, we listen and we do what is required of us. And we recommend that everyone not mingle in public places but rather to be in their homes and reciting [reading] from Holy Qur’an and Dalaa'il al-Khayrat.
That is the order of our shaykh and of all mashaykh—firstly, to recite from Holy Qur’an and then during what remains of time to read from Dalaa'il al-Khayrat, which is the source, the spring, of wisdoms in this time of ours. We must follow this order. This is the recommendation of the leaders of Ahl as-Sunnah wa 'l-Jama`ah. Let there be no home without recitation/reading of Dalaa'il al-Khayrat.
Alhamdulillah, that is what gives us benefit because it consists solely of salawat on the Prophet, sall Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, who said:
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَيَّ وَاحِدَةً صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ عَشْرًا .
"Whoever sends me one salawat once, Allah returns it to him tenfold” (Sahih Muslim).
And it is an obligation on us to ask for blessings on our Prophet, sall Allahu ‘alayhi wa ‘s-sallam, for he will be our intercessor on the Day of Judgment, the intercessor for the entire ummah in all our deeds, both open and hidden.
As-salam `alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu and upon all those who love him.
May Allah bless you in the year ahead, especially for the upcoming 27th of Rajab (the Night of Isra and Mi`raj), and for the coming 15th of Sha`ban and the month of Ramadan. Insha Allah, the situation will improve and the Ummah will achieve success from the point of view of the awliya in this test.
