Fajr Suhbah at a Private Residence (1)
A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani ‘r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem.
Nawaytu 'l-arba`een, nawaytu 'l-`itikaaf, nawaytu 'l-khalwah, nawaytu 'l-`uzlah,
nawaytu 'r-riyaada, nawaytu 's-salook, lillahi ta`ala al-`Azheem fee hadha 'l-masjid.
You cannot count the power of Awliyaullah. One wali can shake this whole Earth upside down with only the movement of his finger, but you need the key for the car in order to run the car, you need a code in order to get through to your accounts. Similarly, every one of Awliyaullah's mureeds have an account. Allah (swt) does not look at dirty ones, He looks at what good we do; He does not look at what we do bad, because Allah does not look at dirty things. Everyone has an account and his account is connected with his star, as Mawlana Shaykh Nazim has mentioned, everyone has a star. Every human beings that Allah created, if he is a wali, he wants to know about that mureed so he looks at the star of that mureed. The reality is not here, this is an image; like Sayyidina Muhyideen ibn `Arabi (q) said, everything is an image, it is a reflection from Muhammad rasoolullah, everything has been reflected from the reality of the Prophet (s).
The Entire Existence is in These Three Letters
As we said yesterday regarding "Alif. Lam. Meem.", Alif represents kull al-wujood. Alif, Lam, Meem, these three letters are the entirety of existence. Alif is the beginning, for Awliyaullah to understand the Reality of Allah's Divine Essence. No one can know the Reality of Allah’s Essence (swt) except through His Beautiful Names and Attributes. Every human being has been dressed from something of these Beautiful Names and Attributes. Because if you are not dressed with them you don’t exist, you are not here, you will not appear. You are appearing with Allah's Beautiful Names and Attributes especially Allah's Attribute al-Khaaliq, The Creator. If that attribute is not dressing you then you cannot appear to us, your existence is void. That is why the Prophet (s) loved it most when Allah called him “`abd”.
Everyone was present in sajda in the Divine Presence as `abd. What is the duty of an `abd? It is sajda, nothing else. There are Awliyaullah that never raise their heads from sajda except for making wudu and to eat, then they go back into sajda. That is like the work of the angels. Every angel has his own order, every day they look at the Preserved Tablets and see what type of tasbeeh they have to do according to what is written there. They can see because they are infallible, but we cannot see because we are veiled. Awliyaullah, however, can see what is written there on the Preserved Tablets.
We Do Not Interfere in Allah’s Will
There was a Wali of the Naqshbandi Sufi order whom Grandshaykh `Abdullah al-Fa'iz ad-Daghestani (q) used to mention. He had many mureeds. One of his mureeds was improving, he was progressing in his awraad and he did not speak except when he had been ordered to speak. We speak nonsense, but Awliyaullah speak something that has meaning. We speak whatever comes to our mind like crazy people in a mental house, where people throw out whatever comes to their minds. That is craziness. So one of those mureeds was progressing hard until he was able to see what is written on the Preserved Tablets, and he saw that his shaykh has been written from the people of Hellfire. He is a Naqshbandi shaykh, even any Tariqah’s shaykh, written to go for punishment although he was always teaching the followers, the mureeds, and he prays on time and he is a Wali with karamaat, miracles. He saw his shaykh was written as one of the people of Hellfire. As soon as it was opened to him he saw what cannot be seen by normal people, as Prophet (s) said in a Hadith:
ولا يزال عبدي يتقرب إلي بالنوافل حتى أحبه، فإذا أحببته كنت سمعه الذي يسمع به وبصره
الذي يبصر به، ويده التي يبطش بها ورجله التي يمشي بها،
My servant does not cease to approach Me through voluntary worship until I will love him. When I love him, I will become the ears with which he hears, the eyes with which he sees, the hand with which he acts, and the legs with which he walks (and other versions include, “and the tongue with which he speaks.”. (Hadith Qudsi, Bukhari)
“As long as my servant approaches Me through voluntary worship I love them, when I love them I will give them hearing that people cannot hear, I will give them seeing that other people cannot see like that.” So that mureed was able to see and was able to hear what was written on the Preserved Tablets. First he saw his shaykh was going to Hellfire, it was written. He went into sajda immediately and asking “Yaa Rabbee, send my shaykh to Paradise, send my shaykh to Paradise.” That was his daily wird. He stopped everything, asking Allah to send his shaykh to Paradise, until one day he saw that it was erased from the Preserved Tablets:
يَمْحُو اللَّهُ مَا يَشَاءُ وَيُثْبِتُ ۖ وَعِندَهُ أُمُّ الْكِتَابِ
Allah blots out or confirms what He pleases: with Him is the Mother of the Book. (Surat ar-Ra`d, 13:39)
Allah erases what He likes and keeps what He likes on His Preserved Tablet. Angels read from it what they have to do, and Awliya read from there what they have to do. So when it was erased he ran to his shaykh to give him the good tidings. As soon as he entered, his shaykh took his miswaak and broke it in half and said, “I break you in half! I will make you crazy. I will give you one chance to bring me back to what was written. For 25 years, I am seeing that my name is going to Hellfire and I am thanking Allah (swt). Wherever He puts me, it is His Will, it is His Order! I am not running after anything else, I am running after Him. If I am in Hellfire, I am running after Him. If I am in Paradise, I am running after Him. Go and put me back! Don’t change Allah’s Will or I will break you in half. For 25 years I am seeing myself like that and I didn’t interfere.”
And since he didn’t interfere, Allah (swt) raised him as a Wali among his followers. That mureed went back and made sajda and said, “Yaa Rabbee, bring my shaykh to Hellfire as he was before. Yaa Rabbee!” He did this day and night until he saw his shaykh going to Hellfire. He was so happy, he ran to his shaykh to give him the good tidings. He reached there to give him the good tidings and his shaykh said, “Yaa Waladee, we don’t interfere in Allah’s Will.”
We are `abd and `abd is a slave to his master. We are `abd: whatever Allah orders us we do. If the whole universe came against you and Allah wants you to win, He will destroy all of them. You don’t need to destroy them. Allah will destroy them. If Allah wants you to be slapped, everyone will slap you. He does not need for you to fight them. and if Allah wants to slap, you get slapped. How many difficulties did the Prophet (s) carry, people slapping him, calling him a big saahir, magician, astaghfirullah.
Deeper Meaning of Alif, Lam, Meem
So the Awliyaullah can see their followers by seeing their stars. Everyone has a star that is always in the presence of Prophet (s), because ilayhi yantahi l-amr, everything ends with Him. As we said yesterday about "Alif. Lam. Meem." creation begins with the Alif but it is hidden in Muhammadun rasoolullah. The Secret of Allah's Beautiful Names and Attributes are only appearances coming from the reality of the Yaa that is between the two Meems. Alif. Lam. Meem.: Alif is Allah (swt), it is pointing to Allah (swt), Lam is pointing to Jibreel (as) and Meem is pointing to the Prophet (s). So it is Meem, you cannot say ‘maa’, in the alphabet you have to say Meem. And Meem is spelled Meem, Yaa, Meem. So the first Meem takes from Jibreel, and the second takes from the first Meem. It will be reduced so that people can carry. So the first Meem is representing the Prophet (s), as he is in the Divine Presence receiving Revelation. The second Meem takes from the first one, but like a condenser, a transformer taking down from electricity which is coming as 360 volts, but which is reduced when coming to the houses so that the wires can carry it. Not everyone can carry 360 volts, go hold the wire and try!
So between the two Meems is Yaa, which in Arabic grammar is equivalent to Alif. Did you study that? Yaa is Alif in Arabic grammar. So in the Yaa everything is hidden because from the first Meem whose face receives in the Divine Presence, always in `uboodiyya, as in ‘laa ilaaha illa-Llaah Muhammadun rasoolullah’, since the beginning Muhammadun rasoolullah is there, receiving from the Divine Presence and passing to the Yaa. So between these two Meems, all the knowledge is hidden in the Yaa. What is needed to be known, like water drops from an ocean, coming from the Yaa hidden in the Meem in Muhammadun rasoolullah, is all the secrets of Allah's Beautiful Names and Attributes that Allah wanted Prophet to know and appear for the universe. These are hidden in its place in the Yaa between the two Meems. From that Yaa, Manifestations here and there have been dressed for human beings, and Prophet (s) has reduced them in order for them to be able to carry these Manifestations, but the Reality of the Essence is hidden there. No one knows it except the Prophet (s), and that as much as Allah revealed to him. That is why he was brought to Qaaba Qawsayni aw Adna physically because spiritually he is there. He is in the Divine Presence, in `uboodiyyah. But do you think he is there alone or do you think he took the whole Ummah with him? He took whole Ummah with him.
Second, what Allah dressed him there is hidden in the Yaa. No one knows. It belongs to Allah (swt). What Allah ordered the Prophet (s) to say he will say. That is why no one heard Jibreel (as) and how he revealed the Holy Qur'an and with what sound. Was he opening a book and reading? No, he was pouring in the heart. Awliyaullah receive from that second Meem. No one can touch the first Meem. What comes from the Yaa, Allah has put all that secret there, and that is why He called His Prophet Yaa Seen. Yaa and Seen. Seen is always an indication of the future in the Hadith and Holy Qur'an. Sa-takoonu fitanun, there will be fitna, sa-yakoonu dhaalik, that will happen. Seen is an indication of the future. It means that everything in the Yaa will be revealed in the future.
سَنُرِيهِمْ آيَاتِنَا فِي الْآفَاقِ وَفِي أَنفُسِهِمْ
We will show them Our Signs on the horizons and in themselves. (Surat al-Fussilat, 41:53)
“We are going to show them Our Signs in the horizons.” That is why Yaa comes first, Seen comes after. It means we are going to show them, sa, we are going to show them Our Signs. It is now hidden in Muhammadun rasoolullah. When that is released the hidden knowledge between the two Meems will be ordered to appear, the Prophet (s) will be ordered to send to the Ummah these Manifestations of Allah's Beautiful Names and Attributes.
Now we are under the Name of al-Khaaliq, but the Prophet (s) is under all the 99 Beautiful Names and Attributes. But the 99 Names are not only Names, rather they are groups of 99 Names, not only one set of 99 Names. There are infinite groups of 99 Names that infinite appearances of creations appear through them, through this group or that group of Divine Names.
Awliyaullah do not open that knowledge in this time because no one can carry it. They are leaving it to the hearts. That is why Grandshaykh `Abdullah al-Fa'iz ad-Daghestani (q) said that now the Awliya work on the mureeds' hearts. They give anesthesia to everyone and work on their hearts. They do not expect that the mureed can work and do the awraad as it is. So they put him to sleep, meaning not thinking about Akhirah thinking about dunya, and they work for him on the `amal of Akhirah. No one can imagine what Awliyaullah know, all we know is “this one said this” and “this one said that.” We fight with this one and we fight with that one.
What did Allah say in the Holy Qur'an?
إِنَّ اللَّـهَ يُدَافِعُ عَنِ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا
Truly Allah defends those who believed. (Surat al-Hajj, 22:38)
Do you want a judge to petition you, or do you want Allah to petition you? Allah said in the Holy Qur'an that He will defend the Believers. Believe in Allah and Allah will support you! That suhbat is enough until you die, because I am not only speaking it to you, but Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (qs) is opening it to you to dress you with it, and what is hidden between the two Meems is opened to whoever heard that, on the Internet or by being physically present here. It opened here, so good tidings to you! When Awliyaullah speak and we listen to them and we repeat what they say it is full of tajalliyaat, Heavenly Manifestations, and Allah (swt) will order His angels to dress all of us with the reality of what we are speaking. It is not only typing and hearing it on the Internet; no, they dress you, but you cannot feel it or see it because Iblees will come and destroy it as he thinks he is winner, he thinks he won because he trapped everyone and is taking them to his side, but he does not know that Allah (swt) forgave us before we came to dunya. In that time when there was no time, the souls were in the Divine Presence, when Allah asked:
أَلَسْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ قَالُوا بَلَىٰ
“Am I not your Lord?” They said, “Yes!” (Surat al-Araaf, 7:172)
At that time everything was done. Everything that we are going to do in dunya appeared, as dirtiness veiling all these Divine Manifestations with which we were originally dressed, but Allah has forgiven us and for that reason He said:
كُنتُمْ خَيْرَ أُمَّةٍ أُخْرِجَتْ لِلنَّاسِ تَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَتَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنكَرِ
You were the best of Nations sent to Mankind, calling for what is good and prohibiting what is wrong.
(Surat Aali-`Imraan, 3:110)

 The evidence for this, as Mawlana Shaykh Nazim Adil al-Haqqani related, is the Hadith regarding the birth of Sayyidina Muhammad (s) as follows:
عن رواية حسان بن ثابت قال ابن إسحاق : وحدثني صالح بن إبراهيم بن عبد الرحمن بن عوف ، عن يحيى بن عبد الله بن عبد الرحمن بن سعد بن زرارة الأنصاري . قال حدثني من شئت من رجال قومي عن حسان بن ثابت ، قال والله إني لغلام يفعة ابن سبع سنين أو ثمان أعقل كل ما سمعت ، إذ سمعت يهوديا يصرخ بأعلى صوته على أطمة بيثرب يا معشر يهود حتى إذا اجتمعوا إليه قالوا له ويلك ما لك ؟ قال طلع الليلة نجم أحمد الذي ولد به .
“On the night of the birth of Sayyidina Muhammad (s), a Jewish rabbi came running and was (happily) shouting, ‘O people of Madinah! The star of Muhammad has just appeared, it is just rising! Mujla. Good tidings for you! The star of the Seal of Prophets, Ahmad, has just appeared,’ and until morning he was running around the streets of Madinat al-Munawwarah.”
