May Allah allow us to take from the oceans of Sultan al-Awliya .
Dastoor ya Sayyidee Qutba al-mutassarif.

la ilaha ill 'Llah, la ilaha ill 'Llah, la ilaha ill 'Llah, Muhammad Rasoolullah (s).
Today we opened, I said "Ya Sayyidee, what do I read?" Subhanallah, what came up is something amazing and it makes so much sense. Where is shaykh Abdallah.
Sultan adh-Dhikr. The Power of Dhikr. Sultan means power also. If you have power you are sultan. Allah told human beings fa`alam annahu la ilaha ill 'Llah. Mawlana is talking about Sultan adh-Dhikr.
We say la ilaha ill 'Llah. There is no God except Allah. What did human beings take as a God? Sayyidina Khalid al-Baghdadi has done Sultan adh-Dhikr six times in his life. When you say, 'la ilaha' no God, the moment between saying la ilah and ill'Allah he is able to bring all wujood before him, all creation. Do you believe that Shaykh `Abdallah?
What is 'la ilaha'? "no God." So when he is saying 'la ilaha' who is he addressing? You have to address someone when you say, 'la ilaha' when you say I am not taking your stones as God, I am not taking Anabulisa as God.
So the Waliullah is addressing and is fully aware you have to address someone yukhaatibahum, to every creation that Allah (swt) has created He is addressing them saying la ilaha ill 'Llah.
So what did Allah create? He created inanimate objects, stones. He created the plant world, and He created human beings and he created angels, jinn, stars, the sun, the moon and all the rest of creation.
Did human beings take trees, as god? Yes, the false deity Manat that the Arabs used to worship they took as gods. They have taken trees as gods.
Did human beings take fellow human beings as gods? Yes.
Did human beings take the moon, star and sun and angels and spiritual objects as gods? They did. Did they worship the jinn? They did.
بَلْ كَانُوا۟ يَعْبُدُونَ ٱلْجِنَّ أَكْثَرُهُم بِهِم مُّؤْمِنُونَ
kaanoo y`abudoon al-jinn.
"Rather, they used to worship the jinn; most of them were believers in them." (Surah Saba',34:41)
They were making `ibadah to jinn. Did they take Lucifer as God? Where are the California people? Don't they have the Church of Satan there? They did worship devils? Yes they did.
So human beings have worshipped anything, whatever is other than Allah as gods. They have taken every category of what is created as gods.
So Waliullah or Qutb al-mutassarif when he says la ilaha ill 'Llah he is addressing all creation saying "none of you is god!" That is Haqiqat adh-dhikr, the reality of Dhikr. It means not only to say la ilaha ill 'Llah, but Mawlana Shaykh Nazim says he brings all creation in front of him and tells them la ilaha, none of you are gods, ill 'Llah, ithbaat, affirming that only Only one creator, Allah, is God. Allah (swt) who called himself by that Name, Allah.
Qul Huwa Allah.
They said, " who do you worship" They asked Rasoolullah (s) when Surat al-Ikhlas came down. They asked "what is the hasab and nasab of your Lord? What is His lineage and what is He made from and so on. So Allah (swt) said, tell them "He is Allah". My Lord the Creator. Say "Allah".
He called himself 'Allah'. That's why when we say 'Allah' we are calling Him by the Name He called Himself.
The true Qutb will bring all creation in front of him, he looks at them and knows what they are about and he knows the wisdom of their creation. He knows why they were created, for what reason. That is the power of the Qutb and the power of Waliullah, the one who holds Sirru 'l-`Azham, the Greatest Secret.
Awliyaullah confirm that Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem is the tree from which all creation emerged, when Allah (swt) said Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem, by My Name, ar-Rahman, the Compassionate, ar-Raheem and the Merciful." Rahman in the beginning and Raheem in the end. Thus you are going from one rahmat, mercy, to another rahmat. O human beings! You are between two mercies.
So the one who is `Alim, the true Qutb will bring all the creation in front of him as Sayyidina Khalid al-Baghdadi ق did six times in his life. Mawlana Shaykh Nazim ق is saying. yajm`a kull al-wujood, he gathers all creations, from human beings, jinn, angels, min `awalim al-`ulwiyy wal-`awaalim as-sufliyya, from the lower worlds and underground worlds, such as demons and from upper worlds, the skies where angels live, and when all of them are gathered he addresses them saying: says la ilaha ill 'Llah. That is how powerful the Khalifatullah is.
What is a Qutb? What is a Waliullah? Deputy. Deputy means he knows everything because he has to represent Allah (swt). If he is unaware of even one creation of Allah (swt) how can he represent Allah in front of that Creation? He has to know every creation that Allah (swt) has created. That is the power of Waliullah.
So Sayyidina Khalid al-Baghdadi ق was able to bring all false deities, all categories of beings that human beings call 'gods' before himself six times in his life and address them saying "Allah is Lord and all of you are nothing but His servants."
Sayyidina Jamaluddin ق was able to do this nine times in his life and Sayyidina Shaykh Sharafuddin ad-Daghestani ق was able to accomplish this in every breath and that power is increasing upwards and onward. Mawlana Shaykh Nazim ق is saying, fazdiyaad, it is increasing multifold for each successor, because Rasoolullah (s) is continuing to ascend and Rasoolullah's (s) ascension never stops.
In Surat al-Inshiqaq Allah (swt) says:
لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَن طَبَقٍ
la tarkabanna tabaqan `an tabaq,
[even thus, O men,] are you bound to move; onward from stage to stage. (Surat Al-Inshiqaq, 84:19)
"I swear you will be riding from one level to the next."
Until when? That is the verse, "you will be riding from one level to the next." Until when? "You will be riding from one level or station to the next, with no end.' Allah is not limited. He (swt) has no limits. He never says, "I don't have any more."
He (swt) is unlimited, not like us, God is unlimited. His knowledge is unlimited, His love is unlimited, His mercy is unlimited. No matter how much you go in it, there is still more.
Mawlana Shaykh Nazim said, "The `ilm of `ulama is drop in the ocean of the `ilm of Awliyaullah; the knowledge of Awliyaullah is a drop in the ocean of knowledge of Anbiya, the Prophets. The knowledge of Anbiyaullah is a drop in the oceans of Habeebullah (s). The knowledge of Rasoolullah (s) is a drop in the ocean of Allah (swt)'s Knowledge.
Rasoolullah (s) is continuously ascending in Maqamaat al-Qurbiyya, in the Levels of Closeness, and the Waliullah representing Habeebullah in the Ummah in each time is also ascending with him to carry all the people who are present. So test yourself, where are you?
So where are we, O Shaykh? You go up and look at earth and you see it as a dot. They say they have reached the end of space and they are continuing further.
Where is earth? They don't know. You know I like the stars. I looked at the Milky Way and Andromeda, which they say are on a collision course. Where is the solar system? It is not even a dot.
Where are you on earth? We are a particle of dust, but Allah (swt) has given us power to collect all of creation before us if we become deputies of Khalifatullah fil-ard. As Allah said:
إِنِّى جَاعِلٌ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةً
And when thy Lord said to the angels: Truly, I am assigning on the earth a viceregent. (Surat all-Baqara, 2:30)
"I am making a deputy on earth to represent Me."
"If My creation needs anything from Me, they come to my representative, khalifa." That is why everyone goes to Rasoolullah (s). He is the origin, al-asl. Everything takes from his ocean. Rasoolullah (s) is the representative of Allah (swt) from al-azal to al-abad, pre-eternity to post-eternity. You need Allah (swt) you need to go through Rasoolullah (s) That is why la ilaha ill 'Llah, Muhammad Rasoolullah (s). not me, not you, not him. If you want Allah you have to go through Rasoolullah (s).
Imagine that power.
We were talking with some of my friends, eating some spicy fish, and we were saying that when you come to waliullah he knows everybody in his presence. If he is able to gather all creation and to declare to all of creation that they are not deities, it means he is able to know the 10 or 15 persons gathered in front of him.
Waliullah does not need to tell you what is wrong, he knows what is wrong. but he does not interfere in Allah's Qada wa Qadr, Decree and Will.
He advises to be patient. Be patient on ta`at, obedience, and be patient on balaa, adversity. Awliyaullah will not perform miracles, but they will pray for you. Rather they will advise you to be patient. How patient can you be? Can you be without your family for one night? Can you be patient without your truck for one night. How much can you be patient?
Mawlana Shaykh Nazim, may Allah keep his light shining, asked, "Why do they tell us to be patient?" There is something at the end. We love Mawlana Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani, I grew up with him. I spent so much time with him in Cyprus.
I think Mawlana Shaykh Hisham has told this story before. They know how patient you can be, they know your maqam. they know how much Allah has given to you.
So one of our Grandshaykhs Sayyidina `Ubaydullah al-Ahrar, looked at his mureed one morning and said to him, dag git geliyorum, "Go to the mountain, I am coming". That was in the morning. The mureed went up and waiting for his shaykh to come. So Zhuhr came the Shaykh did not show up. The mureed is waiting. evening came the shaykh didn't show up, the mureed is waiting. `Isha came, the Shaykh didn't show up. Night came and he spent his night on the mountain and then daybreak came and he is waiting, the Shaykh did not come.
One day, 2 days, 3 days, one week, the Shaykh did not come. One year, 2 years, 3 years, 5 years the Shaykh didn't come. How patient is he?
At the end of 7 years the Shaykh came.
Mawlana Shaykh Nazim said that mureed when he was praying the birds would come and settle on his shoulders. When he is hungry in summer he eats from the fruits he finds on the trees and in winter from the bark of the tree. The birds come down on him when he is praying and at night when he makes Dhikr Allah Allah ya Allah. and all the animals come and surround and sit with him.
All the jinn that are around that mountain, when he is making Dhikr they come and sit in his presence.So the Shaykh has withered away, it melted him. His body has grown hair to cover him and he has become a 'bigfoot'.
The Shaykh said, "O my son. What is wrong with you? Why did you wait here all this time?" The mureed said, "O my Shaykh. I followed your order."
The Shaykh said, "Ok, but my son, didn't you use your mind a little bit that maybe something came up; maybe the Shaykh forgot; didn't you think a little bit?"
He replied, "Ya Sayyidee. If I used my mind over your order, and trumped your order, you would not have come today by the order of Rasoolullah (s)."
That mureed as Mawlana Shaykh Nazim is saying became from Ahl al-Kashf, the people who are unveiled, because of his patience. He said, "Ya Sayyidee I am following your order. I did not use my mind, I did not use my reasoning, I did not use my opinion. I only followed your order, and because of that you would not have come by the order of Rasoolullah (s)."
And Mawlana Shaykh Nazim says that mureed heard the news his Shaykh was coming to him before he arrived.
Mawlana said, that mureed kept one thing in his mind: "That my shaykh who is a perfect murshid and Qutb will not give an order unless it is ordered by Rasoolullah (s). Never will a Waliullah, a Qutb give an order unless it comes from Rasoolullah (s). That mureed knew that his shaykh, Sayyidina `Ubaydullah al-Ahrar, did not give the order except conveying the order of Rasoolullah (s).
So the Shaykh is only in the middle, like Gibril (as), bringing the orders from Allah (swt) to Rasoolullah (s). So the Shaykh is doing the same role, bringing the order from Rasoolullah (s) to the Ummah. That is a trust in his hand.
So Rasoolullah (s) said, "He can be trusted, give him his treasures"
The treasures that Allah (swt) has reserved for us on the Day of alastu bi rabbikum qaaloo balaa. There are treasures for you that will be given to you if you are patient. And those will be given to you if you are patient.
So Mawlana Shaykh says, "What would you have done? By Asr time you would say, the Shaykh forgot; the people in the house don't know what happened, my wife and my children; you would use your mind and leave."
So that mureed disconnected himself from dunya and followed the order of the perfect shaykh. The perfect Shaykh that can see all wujood, existence and he knows the station of each creation.
In that way he reached his maqaam. Why? because he had no ego. Nafs will tell use your mind and your logic and your opinion. But when you have no ego, and you are following the order of Insan Kamil you have trumped your ego. What happens when the ego is destroyed. It is in Surat an-Naba.
وَسُيِّرَتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ فَكَانَتْ سَرَابًا
Wa suyyirati'l-jibaalu fa kaanat saraaba.
and when the mountains are made to vanish as if they had been a mirage.; (Surat an-Naba, 78:20)
So the waliullah eats like you eat; sleeps like you sleep, but he is not like you. That is a mirage. That is true fana. That jabal, that mountainous ego, has been taken and destroyed. so Allah (swt) has taken the ego from that mureed and destroyed it. At that time... when that ego is removed but became a mirage, one of the meanings of the verse will appear:
وَفُتِحَتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ أَبْوَٰبًا
wa futihat is-samaau fa kaanat abwaaba.
and when the skies are opened and become [as wide-flung] gates; (Surat an-Naba, 78:19)
"The heavens were opened and became doors."
Doors take you to a place. There are five maqams. First is the Station of the Heart, then the Station of Sirr, the Secret, then Sirr as-Sirr, the Secret of the Secret, then Khafaa, the Hidden and Akhfaa, Most Hidden.
So when these doors of sky open, meaning the doors of spiritual levels open. You are entering these maqaams you are entering into Sirr, Sirr as-sirr, Khafaa, Akhfaa, and reaching to haqq, to Allah (swt). That is Maqam al-Adna, You have reached Haqq.
Haqq is always with you but now you have reached. And then you go down. you go through the doors of `aqal, qalb, hafizha, Dhakkira, mukhayyila, muffakirrra.
You enter via the doors of the heart, the mind, the doors of giving examples of what is going on as you see Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Haqqani gave so many examples from the spiritual and physical world, and you enter the doors of hafizha, the one which contains memory. So you are with Haqq, the Lord and khalq, creation, at one and the same time. Waliullah is able to be with creation because when he is with creation he is with Haqq he is with creation. All creation is sitting before him. He is not heedless of the creation and he is not heedless of the Creator. They are all together. That is maqaam al-jam`a, the Station of Gathering Yawm al-Jam`a, Day of Gathering, when all human beings and angels are gathered together That day is you internally. By what? By being patient, as that mureed was patient following the order of his perfect Shaykh `Ubaydullah al-Ahrar. Not questioning and knowing the order is coming from Rasoolullah (s). He destroyed his ego. His ego was telling him, "go down to your wife. Go down to your business. Go down to your children.
What are you eating, you are eating the bark and leaves of trees. You have a big fridge at home with fired fish and fried chicken and samosas. He said, "No, no, no, my ego don't tell me anything!" His ego said, "Where are you going to sleep, on the ground? You have a 10,000 Sleep Number remote control mattress." But that mureed was sincere in wanting to find Allah (swt)."
He followed the guidance of Grand Shaykh `Ubaydullah al-Ahrar, who followed the order of Rasoolullah (s) that has followed the order of Allah (swt). He has reached Haqq and he has reached khalq and he has stayed with Haqq and not Haqq only but he is with khalq as well, not people only but he has reached Haqq. He has gathered both of them.
That is the wisdom of being with the perfect shaykh and the perfect waliullah. I am not perfect and I don't know who is perfect, Allah knows better. But if you find a perfect Insan, a perfect waliullah and follow them, and don't use your logic. If you follow him sincerely you will reach the Divine Presence. Don't follow my words lightly that you follow anyone who claims to be shaykh and follow his orders. He might take you to Church of Satan. He might say that is what we have to do today. "Omy Shaykh how are we going to the Church of Satan?" "Oh we have to go, there is a lesson to learn." He takes you to Jahannam.
Be careful of fake shaykhs! The true shaykh is the one who can gather all wujood in one saying of la ilaha ill 'Llah, no God except Allah, before the Kingdom of Humans, the Kingdom of Angels, the Kingdom of Rocks and before him is gathered all creation. If you find him he will open for you the doors of heavens and open the doors of earth. May Allah make us with them.
So when you say la ilaha ill 'Llah try to bring everything in front of you and insha-Allah He will bring you to that maqam.
