For Those Who Submit, Allah Will Open Doors To Heavenly Rizq

Shaykh Hisham Kabbani

17 February 2018 Fenton Zawiya, Michigan

A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani ‘r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem.

Nawaytu 'l-arba`een, nawaytu 'l-`itikaaf, nawaytu 'l-khalwah, nawaytu 'l-`uzlah, nawaytu 'r-riyaada, nawaytu 's-salook, lillahi ta'ala al-`Azheem fee hadha 'l-makaan.

Alhamdulillah nahmaduhu wa nasta’eenuhu wa nastahdeeh, wa naʿoozu billah min shuroori anfusina wa min sayyi’aati aʿamaalina man yahdillah fala mudilla lah wa man yudlil fa-laa haadiya lah.

Allah (swt) says to all of us, “Everything is in My Hand: I guide, I am free; I misguide, I am free; I do anything, I am free.” No one can complain, because if we do it gets worse, and we will be in trouble in front of Allah (swt) and His Prophet (s). When we complain, it is against the rizq Allah granted us on the Day of Promises, which is His Ma`rifah. So complaining is not of the best adab.

At-tariqatu kullhu aadaab. The way of Tariqah that we have chosen for ourselves, which is the way of Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Adil (q), is from Ahlu ’s-Sunnah wa ’l-Jama`ah and we are happy we are from them.

And Allah gives provision to whom He wills without account. (Surat al-Baqarah 2:212)

If Allah says 'kun', it means kun bardan, “a door for My Rizq,” then this whole dunya will turn into rizq, and Awliyaullah know they have to ask for rizq for the entire Ummah. That is why the Prophet (s) told the Sahaabah (r), “I’ll do my work and you’ll do your work,” because he knew if he opened the doors of rizq everyone would be so happy, but also they would leave their prayers and become so involved in dunya. That is our problem. We think there is only dunya and that’s it, but we must take as much as we can from it and run.

He made subservient to you everything that is in the Heavens and everything that is in the Earth.

(Surat al-Jaathiyah, 45:13)

Allah has ordered rizq for His servants, those who say, “Ash-hadu an laa ilaaha illa-Llah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadu ‘r-Rasoolullah.” For those we call Believers, Allah will provide for them not only in dunya, but also in Akhirah. We are meeting here today to remind ourselves not to complain, but to remember to do what Allah wants from us and He will open doors to those who have no doors to open.

Keep that relationship between yourself and Awliyaullah, and from Awliyaullah to the Prophet (s), and from the Prophet (s) to the Divine Presence. Allahu ar-Razzaq, Allah is The One Who Provides. Look how very delicate it is, although Allah forgives us. If we want to go deep into that understanding, if we say, “Today I bought one pound of rice through own efforts because I worked hard,” that is shirk, associating yourself with Allah (swt)! May Allah forgive us, as we make mistakes and must be very careful how we direct ourselves in order for Allah to forgive us. That is why He gave us something very simple and easy, He painted everything in two words:

كلمتان خفيفتان على اللسان ثقيلتان فى الميزان حبيبتان إلى الرحمن سبحان الله و بحمده سبحان الله العظيم

There are two words that are very easy to say, yet very heavy on the Scale, most beloved to The Merciful, “SubhaanAllah wa bihamdihi subhaanAllahi ’l-`Azheem.” (Bukhari and Muslim)

It means the way Allah wants us to be forgiven is through these two words, because it shows His Mercy, and Allah is The Merciful. No one is merciful but Allah (swt), and He dressed His Prophet (s) with it, and the Prophet (s) dressed Awliyaullah, and Awliyaullah dressed the Ummah. So we have to be very careful how we address our prayers, as well as our relationships with everyone else.

I am not going to say more, because whatever we say people might go with it or not. So it is better to keep to yourselves, to your awraad, to your prayers, to your family, and of course, to your shaykh, in order for them to open the doors that are closed. There are so many doors. There are ninety-nine doors to Allah's Presence: Allah's Beautiful Names and Attributes are the doors! There is a door for rizq: yarzuqu man yashaa’u bi ghayri hisaab, “Allah will provide to anyone without account.”

At the end of the day people are happy to count the money they’ve made and how much they have sold in their stores, but they don't remember to count what they have done of goodness, khayr, mercy, and barakah, or how many people they forgave that day. All this comes and opens heavenly rizq. If you do good, you get good. If you don't get it now, you get it later.

Many people come and say, “My shaykh, we need children. Many years passed and we don't have children. What must we to do?” You teach them one verse or one message that Holy Qur'an is telling us, and after a while they recite what they are taught, then after some time they come to you, saying, “We have children!” In Allah’s Hands is the khayr, goodness.

Say, ‘O Allah, Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You remove sovereignty from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your Hand is all good. Truly You are Powerful over all things. (Surat Aali Imraan, 3:26)

In Allah's Hands, He will put down whom He wants and He will pull up the one He wants. Suppose they put you in a plane and you say, “Make it go up!” It will not go up until Allah gives you the way and, for example, they tell you to say, “Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem,” and when you say that the plane takes off. Through “Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem” Muslims open their doors: it is one of the major provisions Allah (swt) has given humanity. “Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem” is comprised of nineteen letters, the number of Ahlu ’l-Bayt an-Nabi (s).

They say, “Why do you worship the Prophet?” Did you see anyone making sajda to him (s)? Even so, aren't you ashamed to discuss this matter and humiliate Prophet (s)? It is our duty to show him esteem and raise him (s) and his Family above our heads! Ahlu ’s-Sunnah wa ’l-Jama`ah, don’t lose hope wherever you are, for we are the winners, victorious through love of Allah and love of Holy Prophet (s), as Allah mentioned in Holy Qur'an, we don't worship him. Allah (swt) said:

Say (O Muhammad), "If you (really) love Allah, then follow me! Allah will love you and forgive your sins, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Surat Aali-'Imraan, 3:31)

“If you want to show your love to Allah (swt) then follow Prophet (s). Following Sayyidina Muhammad (s) leads you to following Allah (swt). If you really love Allah (swt) then follow Sayyidina Muhammad, that is it: follow Sayyidina Muhammad (s) in his ways, his understanding, his teaching, his Ahadeeth. “Follow Prophet,” Allah said it clearly in the Holy Qur’an. And still you hear people saying, “Why are you making tawassul through the Prophet?” What? Do you want us to make tawassul through you? You are like donkeys, although even a donkey has a good character, it is patient. All of us have characters of animals that reflect on us.

You have to know Prophet (s) gave us a way through the Holy Qur’an, as related in a Hadith Qudsi, spoken to him by Allah (swt):

My servant does not cease to approach Me through voluntary worship until I will love him. When I love him, I will become the ears with which he hears, the eyes with which he sees, the hand with which he acts, and the legs with which he walks (and other versions include, “and the tongue with which he speaks.”). (Hadith Qudsi, Bukhari)

Also, Hatta yaqoolu li’sh-shayʾi kun fa-yakoon. Allah Huwa ’l-muʿtee. If Allah loves His servant, He gives him (the power) to say, “Be,” and it will be. Allah is The Giver. The Prophet (s) raised his Sahaabah (r) to know that he is the one who can say to a thing “Be and it will be,” who went to Akhirah and saw everything there. Is he not the one through whom we must make tawassul? Allah (swt) said, “If you want to love Allah then follow me (Muhammad).” That precisely is tawassul through Sayyidina Muhammad (s), so anyone who has a problem, especially being disturbed by jinn--and there are jinn both good and bad-- to get rid of it, recite Surat al-Jinn three times before you sleep and those disturbances will go. Around the world, people come and say, “O! Jinn following me, what to do?” To get the help of good jinn, use the Ayat al-Kursi and you will be saved. Awliyaullah relieve someone affected by jinn through ayats of Holy Qur'an.

So some people say, “We only believe in Holy Qur'an, we don't believe in Hadith.” Allah (swt) is going to hang them spiritually and they will be prevented from receiving spiritual rizq (Ma`rifah): they will have money, but no Akhirah. Allah directs us to Prophet (s) as he is the Rope of Safety: if you tie yourself to him you will fly! It’s as if a flood takes everything in front of it and you see the savior come in the water, tie a rope to those being drowned and pull them up.

The Prophet (s) is the Savior of Humanity, the one whom Allah (swt) chose. I don't like to use the word “chose” because it is not that Allah made so many and choose one of them like a lottery. No, Allah said, “Kun faya koon!” Before created Creation, He created the Light of Prophet (s).

When Jaabir (r) asked, “Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you, oh Prophet of Allah! What is the first thing that Allah (swt) created?” the Prophet (s) said, “The first thing that Allah (swt) created is the Light of your Prophet from His Light, O Jaabir.” (Musannaf `Abdu ’r-Razzaq)

“Hold tight to the rope of Allah” means to hold tight to the Prophet (s)!

Hold fast to Allah's rope and do not separate. (Surat Aali-`Imraan, 3:103)

In the verse before that, qul in kuntum tuhibboona 'Llaaha fattabi`oonee, tie yourself to the rope (Prophet): tie yourself strongly with Holy Qur'an and Sunnah of the Prophet (s)!

May Allah give us the benefit of today. O Ahlu ’s-Sunnah wa ’l-Jama`ah! We are helpless people. We need unity, as Allah (swt) said, “w`asimoo.” We need love of the Prophet (s), which will give us rizq, and rizq will give us happiness, and happiness makes us pray more, and praying more leads us to Paradise!

I am not claiming anything, I am saying what I heard from Awliyaullah. We can be under the meaning of the ayah, wa sakhara lakum maa fi 's-samaawaati wa maa fi 'l-ardi jamee`an, “He made everything under your order.” When you pass all the requirements, Allah will give the keys of all the paradises, kullu jinaan, and you will need to open them. The key is the Family of the Prophet (s)! As we mentioned before, “Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem” is comprised of nineteen letters, and the letters of the names of the Ahlu ’l-Bayt, the immediate family members of the Prophet (s), are also nineteen. Every day, read “Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem” and I assure you these frightening spiritual beings that you cannot see will run away and not stay with you!

I pity the people of the Indian Subcontinent, the Middle East and North Africa as so many of them are badly affected. But if they recite, “A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani ‘r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem,” the evil spirits will run away, and afterwards they cannot say jinn are still with them, because jinn fear Allah and His Prophet (s). If you think they are still there, that is a mistake and you are disturbed. Avoid charlatans, the mash`awaza, fake shaykhs that misuse the power of Surat al-Jinn and don't believe them!

Once I was at Mawlana Shaykh Nazim’s house, may Allah bless his soul, when suddenly a large contingent of Turkish people arrived, about fifty or sixty people, and all of them were very good Believers. First Mawlana asked, “Do you need anything?” When they wanted to tell him their issues/complaints, he immediately gave suhbah for ninety minutes. They got bored and he gave them something and kept them there to polish them. We don't know what they felt, but after the suhbat they said, “It is okay, we understood, we have no questions.” Maybe they forgot what their questions were. [Laughter.]

When they left, he said to me, “When the second group comes, I have an answer for them and for the whole Ummah of the Prophet (s) and all dunya. Your story aside, you are coming to me, which means you believe in me and came for something. It might mean you love me, respect me, and believe in me. All of them have stories and problems; if we count all of their stories we wouldn’t finish until the end of the day, so what am I going to do? When they come as a group, I recite Fatihah for all of them. One Fatihah is enough to treat all their problems, and one ‘Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem’ at the beginning is enough to chase all the jinn from them.”

If people have knowledge, they will recite:

إِنَّهُ مِن سُلَيْمَانَ وَإِنَّهُ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Verily it is from Sulaymaan and verily it begins with the Name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful. (Surat an-Naml, 27:30)

That will take jinn away! But what they understand is not typical of what I am saying. That is why they want to explain their stories, as if I did not understand. As soon as they step into my zawiya (dargah, khaniqah), I have been informed of their names and affairs one by one, what each one needs, and I tell them to recite one Surat al-Fatihah and one Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem, which is sufficient to make all devils run away.”

That's why we said at the beginning, “Kalimataan khafeefataan `alaa ’l-lisaan thaqeelataan fi ’l-meezaan habeebataan li ’r-rahmaan: SubhaanAllah wa bihamdihi subhaanAllahi ’l-`Azheem.” Allah says, “I am giving, offering it to you, what do you want better than that? Two words are enough, light on the tongue and heavy on the Scale, Kalaamullah, which is heavier than Earth and this universe. May Allah (swt) forgive us and bless us.

It was said (in a parable), “Before someone sins, the ceiling of his house will crush the door all the way to the ground.” So one of the Companions (r) said, “Yaa Rabbee, I make du`a that I will crush them because of their sins like the crashing of the ceiling to the ground!”

Allah (swt) did not like that, and He said, “Where is My Mercy? My Mercy is with them; if they make istighfaar, I will forgive them.” And who of us here and of Ummat an-Nabi (s) does not say istighfaar? Everyone says, “Astaghfirullah.” That means mercy is coming, and if that mercy did not come the Earth would crush us! May Allah (swt) forgive us and make the ceiling not crush us, but fall in the ocean along with all our sins.

Wa min Allahi ‘t-tawfeeq bi hurmati’ l-Fatihah.
