Allah Will Give to the Prophet (s) until He is Satisfied

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani

18 January 2015 Dallas, Texas

Mawlid an-Nabi (s)

As-salaamu `alaykum wa rahmatullaahi wa barakaatuh. Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Laa ilaaha illa-Llah Muhammadun Rasoolullah. `Alayhaa nahyaa wa `alayhaa namoot wa `alayha nalqa ’Llah, inshaa-Allah. A`oodhu billahi min ash-Shaytani ‘r-rajeem. Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem.

I would like to thank Dr. Tahir al-Qadri, Shaykh al-Islam, for his great help to us for opening all his centers to us around the world for our shaykh. May Allah (swt) bless our shaykh’s soul and may Allah give Dr. Tahir al-Qadri, Shaykh al-Islam, cure and long life. Something miraculous happens everytime I go to Minhaj al-Qur’an around the world, I see this person there, Shaykh `Abdul Basit. I don’t know how he comes there, it might be by Israa’ and Mi`raaj. Thank you Dr.Yunus also, for looking after Minhaj everywhere. I would like to thank Dr. Hassan al-Qadri as well, for his `ilm and lovely presentation yesterday that was too short. For those who understand Arabic, we would have said let him continue in Arabic, because it is different from Urdu or English. Send my salaam to him.

Bismillahi 'r-Rahmani 'r-Raheem.

We are weak servants, yaa Sayyidi, yaa Rasoolullah, look at us! For you, you can see us at any moment,

but for us it is very difficult to reach you. Open that pipe between us and you, open that way between us and you. You can see us and see our weakness. We believed in you and we didn’t see you. Qaala 'l-rasool (s) li sahaabatihi 'l-kiraam. Prophet (s) said to his Sahaabah, “Man ash-hadu imaanan aw man `ajaba imaanan? Who are the ones that their imaan is so stunning, so astonishing? Who are those, can you tell me?” They said, “Yes, angels.” He (s) said, “How angels cannot have strong imaan when they are between the hands of Allah (swt) in Paradises and they see what no one is seeing? There are others.”

They said, “The Anbiya?” Prophet (s) said, “How Anbiya do not have strong, solid imaan when they get the Revelation and Jibreel (a) comes to them? They see what no one can see. How their imaan is not strong?”They said, “There is nothing left except us, the Sahaabah.” He said, “How you dare to say that when I am among you and you pray with me day and night and perform nawafil day and night? How you won’t have strong imaan?” They said, “Then who are these?” He said, “People who come later; they believe in me without seeing me. They are my brothers and Lovers, and you are my Companiona.”

You are his Lovers! We say that we are his Lovers, but it is not complete: He is our Lover! He loves us! He (s) guaranteed us Paradise, he opened for us everything! Don’t look at your image or behaviors, only look at Prophet (s), as he is the sincere servant of Allah (swt) to whom Allah gave the power to make shafa`at on the Day of Judgement for everyone. So it means all our images or make up or buttocks are gone, the only thing that is still there is the Love of Sayyidina Muhammad (s)!

On the Day of Judgement, Allah (swt) calls on Sayyidina Muhammad )(s), the first one, sending to him Sayyidina Jibreel (a) and Malak ‘l-Mawt (a) and Sayyidina Israafeel (a) and Sayyidina Mika’eel (a), four of them, then Sayyidina Ridwan (a) and Sayyidina Maalik (a), calling on Sayyidina Muhammad (s). We are not saying ‘Sayyidina’ although we have to when we say, “Muhammad,” it is like we say, “`Abdul Basit,” who is my friend. We want to be your friend, yaa Sayyidee, yaa Rasoolullah, we call your name. But in reality, we have to say ‘Sayyidina’ Muhammad (s).

Sayyidina Muhammad (s) asked Jibreel, “Am I the first one or the last one?” He was teaching them in a hidden way, “I am going to be at the top.” He asked, “Am I first or last?” He was worried for the Ummah, thinking, “Did Allah judge my Ummah yet or not?” Everyone must be afraid! Prophet (s) said to Sayyida `Ayesha (a):

من حوسب عذب

(Yaa `Ayesha!) Who will be judged will be punished for sure. (Bukhari)

Many don’t look at this Hadith which is strong, Yaa `Ayesha, man hoosib `udhdhib. “The one who will be called to Judgement will be punished for sure.” Ask Allah not to take you to Judgment, don’t think your `amal is going to save you, because Allah (swt) said:

وَقَدِمْنَا إِلَى مَا عَمِلُوا مِنْ عَمَلٍ فَجَعَلْنَاهُ هَبَاء مَّنثُورًا

And We shall turn to whatever deeds they did (in this life), and We shall make such deeds as floating dust scattered about. (Surat al-Furqaan, 25:23)

“We come to their `amal and throw it in their faces!” That is why Prophet (s) is worried about his Ummah:

فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَه ُُ وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَ

Whosoever has done an atom's weight of good shall see it, and whosoever has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it. (Surat al-Zalzaal, 99:7-8)

If we do good, we see good! Who can claim in front of a judge in dunya that he is innocent? He will be shivering in front of a judge, and that is human being. What do you think is going to be your case if Allah calls on any of us? We will be shivering in His Presence! That is why Allah does not call on anyone but Sayyidina Muhammad (s), that is a glad tiding for Muslims, and Prophet (s) comes and makes sajda. He says, “Allah opens to my heart knowledge and du`a that He did not open before. It is amazing.” We need to focus more to understand it, that Allah will open to the heart of Sayyidina Muhammad (s) du`a that never he heard before. What kind of du`a? Most people write du`a or poetry with du`a and there are a maximum of one million du`as, but he (s) said, “Allah opens du`a to my heart that I never heard before.”

In Arabic there are many words, as linguistics would know. What Allah (swt) opens to the heart of Prophet (s), is still Arabic, but something we never knew before, like in the Qur’an, “Haa. Meem. Kaaf. Haa. Yaa. `Ayn. Seen. Qaaf.” For Allah it has a meaning, for us it has limited meaning. For the `ulama and Awliya it has a limited meaning. And he makes this du`a, for half-an-hour he is in sajda. Allah (swt) says to him:

يا محمد ارفع رأسك وسل تعط وقل يُسمع لك واشفع تشفع

O Muhammad! Raise your head, ask and you will be given! Say and you will be heard! Intercede and it will be accepted! (Bukhari)

Prophet (s) says, “Yaa Rabbee, I want my Ummah!” Look at Prophet’s love to us! Now we are showing our love to him, but in reality he loves us. He doesn’t want anyone to fall or be punished, he will intercede. And when he will raise his head, Allah will say, “Ask and I will give you.”

Indeed your Lord will give you endlessly, so you will be well pleased. (Surat ad-Duhaa, 93:5)

One day is coming when Allah will give you until you will be satisfied. Do you think the Prophet (s) will be satisfied? He will still say, “I need more,” because he wants to give to the Ummah. Allah says, “Yaa Muhammad, do you want your Ummah? I will give you with no account. Take one-third.” He will take one-third and send them to Paradise without hisaab, this is in Sahih Bukhari. Then he goes into another sajda and he says, “Allah will open du`as to me that He never opened before, not the first time and not in dunya, they will be new du`as the second time.” What kind of Arabic? We know Arabic is twenty-eight letters with Laam-Alif it is twenty-nine. How those words will be put together? Let us say we have one million du`a in dunya but never before these words would have been said. Like we have a little bit of a nice smell of these letters: Haa. Meem. `Ayn. Seen, they have meaning, they are an ocean of knowledge. So the Prophet (s) will say, “Yaa Rabbee, I want my Ummah.” Allah will say, “I already gave you one-third, is that not enough?” Prophet (s) will say,“No Yaa Rabbee, You said that You will give until I say it is enough, yaa Rabbee, you think there is too much. I didn’t say that it is enough, I want more.” “Okay take one-third more to Paradise.” Prophet (s) will send one-third to Paradise. Then he said, “I will go one more time in sajda,” no hijab for the Prophet (s) in front of Allah, he can see! If he was able to see Allah in dunya he cannot see in Akhirah? Imam Nawawi (q) (whose grave was recently blown up in Damascus by people who say ‘this is bida`, this is shirk, this is haraam,’) said in Sahih Muslim in an explanation of Surat al-Mi`raaj that theProphet (s) ra’aa rabbahu bi `aynay raasihi. Prophet (s) saw his Creator with the eyes of his head. He wants to say more but he said eloquently “he saw with the eyes of his head”.

Allah manifested (His Light) for Sayyidina Musa (s) and he fainted, but Sayyidina Muhammad (s) did not faint. You know the story of Sayyidina Musa when he asked to see Allah (swt). He fainted but Sayyidina Muhammad did not faint. The one who was able to see in dunya, is interceding for us in Akhirah in the Presence of His Lord. What do you expect Allah will say to him? He said, “Yaa Muhammad, take the rest of Ummat an-Nabi (s) to Paradise without question,” but you have to do your obligations at least to show your Lord that you are grateful for what He is giving you. Allah will say,“Take all except for one, don’t take that one.” Allah looks at that one and He says after sending all the Ummah to Paradise by the intercession of Sayyidina Muhammad (s). It is not mentioned who that one is, that one must be the worst one, maybe we are the worst one, we don’t know. We say, Yaa Sayyidee, yaa Rasoolullah, we need your shafa`ah.” He is here:

And know Allah's Messenger is in you. (Surat al-Hujuraat, 49:7)

Laa tughayyiboo 'l-nabi (s), don’t make him as if he is not present, he is present, haadir wa naazir, hearing and seeing! He says don’t take that one. Prophet (s) was happy, but his heart was worried for that one. Allah looks at that one and says, “I have sent My Beloved Prophet as Rahmatan li ’l-`Alameen,

Mercy to humanity and you are from humanity, and Mercy is My Ocean, I gave to Sayyidina Muhammad (s) from that, but the whole ocean is Mine, bi rahmatee fal-yafrahoo, so by My Mercy go to Paradise now!” He forgives everyone from Ummat an-Nabi (s).

O Muslims! Allah (swt) said in Holy Qur’an:

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي أَسْرَىٰ بِعَبْدِهِ لَيْلًا مِّنَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ الْأَقْصَى الَّذِي بَارَكْنَا حَوْلَهُ لِنُرِيَهُ

مِنْ آيَاتِنَا ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ

Glory be to He who travelled with this slave by night from the Masjid al-Haraam to the Masjid al-Aqsaa which We have blessed in order to show him Our Signs. Truly He is the All Hearing, All Seeing.

(Surat al-Israa, 17:1)

Allah is praising Himself, subhaan Alladhee, saying, “Praise be to Me, Glory be to Me, from Me to Me, because no one is worthy of praising Me as I should be praised! I am praising Myself, to have sent Muhammad against the rules I have put at My Will in the universe, to put him against the laws of physics and raise him (physically):

وَسَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا مِّنْهُ إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لَّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ

And He has subjected to you, as from Him, all that is in the Heavens and on Earth. Behold, in that are Signs indeed for those who reflect. (Surat al-Jaathiyya, 45:13)

“I have made under your power and control all the Heavens and Earth and universes!” This is a declaration for the whole Ummah, that Allah (swt) made under Prophet’s (s) control the whole dunya and whatever is in Heavens and Earth, wa maa sakhkhara. Allah gave to us, but we are not seeing. This means that there is something wrong with us, the mechanism is not working. You know these wind-up toys you turn and the key is broken inside, it is not working anymore, then you need a charger battery, our winder is not working. There is something wrong. What the previous speaker said about imaan, it is not there. Shari`ah and Haqiqa combined with imaan will give you Maqaam al-Ihsaan and that can make you fly, to worship Allah as if you are seeing Him!

(Al-Ihsaan is) that you worship Allah as if you see Him, for, if you don't see Him, truly He sees you.

(Bukhari)

“Wa ta`bud Allah ka annaka taraah” means there is the possibility to feel that Manifestation of His Light on you when you are praying, but wind it, fix it! So He brought Sayyidina Muhammad (s) against all the laws of physics, all theories that they have made, and he went with Jibreel (a) and Buraaq. If you go up a little with a plane, it comes down broken. How the Prophet (s) went up through all these different environments where no human can go, even a bird cannot go above a certain level? He went through this universe, the galaxies we are in and the galaxies we are not in, he went through all these. This galaxy that we are in is comprised of 80 billion stars. It means when he (s) was crossing, iqra, he was reading as he knows the knowledge (already). Allah is giving him `Uloom al-Awwaleen wa ’l-Akhireen as he is ascending, that is why it is a Mi`raaj. He could have been there in a moment by kun fayakoon, but he didn’t. So Allah (swt) moved him up in ascension, made him pass through all these galaxies. Now scientists say there are more than 6000 galaxies, he passed all of these. Can you pass that? If you drive 200 miles per hour in a car, you might fall upside down. He went all the way; he went beyond had ad-dunya “the limit of dunya”. In dunya there is no Paradise, it is beyond, and all these galaxies are within dunya.

So he reached the First Heaven. Sayyidina Jibreel (a) knocked at the door, this is how the Seerah says,

they gave a signal and Jibreel knocked and was asked, “Who is with you?” He said, “Sayyidina Muhammad (s).” They asked, “Has he been invited?” Of course they know, as all Paradises were decorated and Allah (swt) made processions for his honor, welcoming him. Today we hold processions for Mawlid an-Nabi (s). Allah made processions for him in his honor by ordering the angels to decorate the First Heaven. Why He made him go through the First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh Heaven and so on, not taking him straight to Qaaba Qawsayni aw Adnaa? Because Allah (swt) wants to dress him with the Manifestations of the different Heavens, dress him with that knowledge, with that purity and that taste!

What kind of drink they gave him? What kind of knowledge has been given to his heart? The dress of the First Paradise, then Second Paradise. Like in our life if a president comes to the university they dress him with a gown and say: we are honoring you with a PhD and we dress you with that gown and hat. What kind of dress Allah dressed the Prophet (s) with in the First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Eight Paradises, unlimited Paradises, in order to dress him to be able to reach Qaaba Qawsayni aw Adnaa because there you have to have strong power that allows him to be there in front of his Lord. There, he reached Qaaba Qawsayni aw Adnaa. What is that? “Two Bows’ Lengths or less,” how much less? Okay, we know Two Bows might be the closest possible, might be one inch and that becomes an ocean, and the Prophet (s) proceeds and proceeds from one ocean to the next in ascension, because Qaaba Qawsayni aw Adnaa is not a fixed place, as there is no time, it is continuous. That is why scholars say that it is one Mi`raaj, but in reality, in every moment the Prophet (s) has a Mi`raaj! Not one Mi`raaj for the Prophet (s), every moment in dunya and every moment in Akhirah the Prophet (s) is in Ascension and he is taking his Ummah with him, he never leaves them behind!

Allah (swt) says:

Say (O Muhammad), "If you (really) love Allah, then follow me! Allah will love you and forgive your sins, and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Surat Aali-`Imraan, 3:31)

“If you really love Allah,” which my son just explained, “If you really love Allah, follow Muhammad (s), Allah loves you. Follow Muhammad; he (s) is in Ascension. Meaning, be in Ascension with him, We take you to Mi`raaj.”

Abu Hamid al-Ghazali (q) said, “I had many Mi`raaj to Paradise,” when Allah opened to him the reality, the knowledge. He was always confused at first, until he found Shaykh Yusuf an-Nassaaj who was from the Nassajiyah Tariqah, he showed him the way. If we want to reach we have to follow a guide, you will never reach without a guide. Although he doesn’t need a guide, Prophet (s) took a guide when he migrated from Mecca to Madinah to show that we need guides. On Mi`raaj, he took Jibreel as a guide until Qaaba Qawsayni aw Adnaa. Jibreel accompanied him as a guide even though Prophet (s) does not need one, until he could go no more, “Yaa Rasoolullah, you go by yourself.” When you reach that level, then you can go by yourself. So He dressed him with dresses of Eight Paradises in order that he may be able to reach Qaaba Qawsayni aw Adnaa. What happened there and in the Paradises, and what will happen to us, we will leave it to next time.

May Allah (swt) keep these events continuous. I know it takes time to organize, but these are the events that are a role model for our children and our next generation. They need role models to grow up on, like they have ‘Batman’, ‘Superman’, ‘Spiderman’, there is no ‘Sufiman’, I don’t know why? Give your children the love of Prophet (s) in order that we reach the love of Prophet (s) from our side. From his side, he loves us already. That is why he was praising us in front of his Sahaabah (r), as I had earlier mentioned. May Allah (swt) forgive us and bless you all. Thank you very much.
