These nights that we are in are very precious nights. They are the last ten days of Shahr-ul Ramadan al Mubarak. And this month is in the year one thousand four hundred and twenty-two Hijri, Every number has a significance. If we add one for 1422 it gives us number of 9. And 9 in the numerical understanding means 0. And this year means it is a border, a limit, is a year that has an important significance in the history of mankind. Because it is going to begin a new era which is going to be 1423. If you add 1423 it gives the number 10. Which means, in …what you call this in English? This number knowledge?…numerology. It means one. Means a new era that it is going to be a new history for mankind there are a lot of changes going to happen that Awlia Allah are expecting and waiting. There will a heavenly support for mankind, for the best of mankind. Human beings are going to realize the importance that Allah(swt), the wisdom that Allah has sent us to dunya. In these upcoming years, which as we said is going to be a new understanding of this world, there is a great opening for everyone, for people to know the Truth. And truth is… means truth is against evil. Truth means against Batil, Haqq against Batil. Truth against falsehood. What is true is going to be what is enlightenment.
What is good for humanity is going to see too many in new knowledges that are going to be happening, Inshallah, at the beginning of 1423. For that reason, these last ten days of Ramadan, which I think is left only 8 days or 7 days. Akthiroo min as-salaati `ala 'n-nabiyi 'l-Mustafa, keep your tongue always praising Sayyidina Muhammed `alayhi afdalus-salatu was-salaam. Allah(swt) said in Holy Quran:
Inna 'Llaha wa malaa'ikatahu yusalloona `ala 'n-Nabi. Allah and his angels are sending prayers and blessings on Sayyidina Muhammed (s).
This means Allah has granted Sayyidina Muhammed (s) and honored him with the salah, the blessings that Allah is sending on the Prophet, and the prayers means, Allah is giving him in every moment, because this verse means, continuity, it doesn’t stop. Inn Allaha wa malaa'ikatahu yusalloona `ala 'n-Nabi, from when? We don’t know. Allah and his angels are praising, praying and blessing Sayyidina Muhammed (s). Since when? No one knows. It is when Allah wanted that to happen He ordered his angels to praise Muhammed (s).When Allah was praising Sayyidina Muhammad (s) even angels they don’t know. And in praising and praying and blessing sending on Sayyidina Muhammad (s) is raising him up in continuous Mi`raj. So it is not only one Mi`raj that Sayyidina Muhammad (s) has done, but it is in every moment from the time that Allah(swt) praised His Prophet, and from the time that Allah ordered His angels to praise His prophet and Sayyidina Muhammad (s) in continuous Mi`raj. And that continuous Mi`raj is the knowledge that Allah is pouring into the heart of Sayyidina Muhammed (s). And from that Allah to benefit the Ummah of Prophet, Allah ordered “Ya Ayyuha 'lladhina amanoo…O believers, you want this Mi`raj ? If you want that Mi`raj, send prayers to my beloved Prohet(s) “a Ayyuha 'lladhina amanoo salloo `alaihi wa salimoo tasleema” Prophet said, “Man salla `alayya salla Allahu biha `ashara.” Whoever pray on me one time, Allah pray on him ten times. This means that if anyone prays on the Prophet (s) he or she will go into that Mi`raj. Why? Because Allah is going to pray on that person ten times, and when Allah prays on a person He raises him in a Mi`raj. For every person there is a Mi`raj. And the most luckiest are the ones that they go in their Mi`raj from the same place that Prophet (s) went into Mi`raj. Those who are keeping the sunnah of the Sayyidina Muhammed(s) are going to find themselves being raised into a Mi`raj from where Prophet (s) began his Mi`raj.
Mecca, Medina, Quds (Masjid al Aqsa). If you look, Mecca, Medina…Mecca here , Medina here, because Mecca on the sea shore, near sea shore, near the Red Sea. Medina inside, little bit, and then Masjid al Aqsa on top. So If you draw a line between these three points, become a triangle. Means three dimensions. This triangle, from Mecca, Medina, masjid al Aqsa. If you draw a point, a line, it becomes a triangle. And that triangle is the three dimensions. Where is the fourth dimension? Where Allah(swt) is going to send His Throne on Judgement Day. Where He’s going to judge all His servants and according to ahadith of Prophet(s), that the Throne will be descending on Shaam-us-Shareef. It is going to be the spiritual dimension, the fourth dimension that you cannot see. Ardul-Mahshar, the land of the Reckoning is Ardus Shaam, the land of Greater Syria. Bilad-us-Shaam is Ardul-Mahshar, the land of the Gathering of Judgment Day. Prophet (s) gave more than 40 ahadith, and Imam Nawawi has pulled them out, about Fadail-e-Shaam; the fadail, benefits and goodness of Shaam-us-Shareef. And grandshaykh said that muslims and mu'mins they wish that they would have a piece of grave in Shaamu 'sh-Shareef, in Damascus. Why, because it is the spiritual dimension that you cannot see. Many of Ahl-ul-Bayt are being buried there.
So our Mi`raj, the Mi`raj for ummat un-nabi (s), is through praising of Sayyidina Muhammad (s). Man ahabba shayyin akthara min dhikrih. If you love something you mention it too much. If you love anything, everyone will be..Some people love flying. All their talk are how he flies an aeroplane, what kind of aeroplane. Some others they love cars. So they have to speak always about the best car that they can dream of. Some others they love yachts. So they dream about having a big yacht. Some people love horses, always riding on horses. So everyone loves something. So when you love something or someone, akthara min dhikrih, always mentioning it. So if you love Sayyidina Muhammad (s), means your heart completely always in praising of Prophet (s), nothing else.
Ya ayuhalladheena aamanu, salloo `alayh,”
"O mu'mins, believers, praise him, send blessings, send prayers on him" on Sayyidina Muhammad (s) – continuously. Allah in Holy Quran didn’t say "pray on him" one time. He said, "pray on him," continuously. That is our Mi`raj. Allah wants us to benefit from the barakah of Sayyidina Muhammad (s). He made us to praise Prophet and to pray on Prophet (s) in order that we will be able to get the benefit of Mi`raj-un-nabi(s).
And especially these nights of coming nights of Lailatul Qadr.لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ
Laylatul qadri khayrun min alfi shahr;
The Night of Power is better than a thousand months. (Surat al-Qadr, 97:3)
The Night of Power is better than 1000 months. Which months? Allah mentioned in Holy Quran:
وَإِنَّ يَوْمًا عِندَ رَبِّكَ كَأَلْفِ سَنَةٍ مِّمَّا تَعُدُّونَ
Wa inna yawma `inda Rabbika ka-alfi sannatin mimma ta`udoon
One day to Allah(swt) is like one thousand years of our reckoning. (Surat al-Hajj, 22:47)
And He mentioned that another place that:
تَعْرُجُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ إِلَيْهِ فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ
The angels and the Spirit will ascend to Him during a Day the extent of which is fifty thousand years. (Surat al-Ma`arij, 70:4)
Allah sends down angels and angels ascend to Him in one day. That day is being calculated as 50,000 years. “khamseena alfa sannatin” menas every day of this 50,000 years is 1000 years also. Understood or not? Not? There are 2 types of heavenly days. One day is “alfi sannatin `inda rabbika…” One heavenly day by calculation is 1000 years. Then He said when angels ascend to Allah, they ascend in one day, that is 50,000 years. So now there is a difference. In Mi`raj is different from our calculation. By heavenly calculations Mi`raj is higher, It goes to the Divine Presence. So it is 50,000 years. That 50,000 years, one day of that 50,000 years is 1000 years of the level that it is below it. So multiply 50,000 year times 1000 year, how many zeros are we getting here? Seven zero’s ? Eight zeros. So you have 8 zeros. That is for one day. Allah(swt) is showing us His greatness and the greatness of this Creation. It means angels ascend to Allah's Divine Presence in trillions of years, one ascends, or descends in trillions of years. Is it these trillions of years – where? There is no 'where'; there is no time, no space.
It means all this universe that we are seeing that has time and has space is still a limit, limited. All what we are speaking about and all this technology today, satellites and everything they have developed are still in limits. They cannot go beyond this small planet, the moon, Mars and Venus, that’s it. Not more than that. So what is this greatness that Allah (swt) has given to Sayiddina Mohammed (s) when He said that is his Mi`raj?
إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا
Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [ Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [ Allah to grant him] peace. (Surat al-Ahzaab, 33:56)
Allah and His Angels are praising and praying on and blessing the Prophet (s). It means Allah (swt) is raising him up and believers have to pray on the Prophet (s) and send salutations to the Prophet (s) in order that they will be raised from that fourth dimension.
So Awliyaullah all their vision is focused on Shaamu' sh-Sharif, Greater Syria. After Mecca, Medina and Quds comes Shaamu' sh-Sharif in virtue. That is Ardu 'l-Mahshar, the land of Resurrection. Anyone who is buried there or has a grave there, angels will take him and put him in that grave regardless of where he dies.
And we are not going to go longer, we are going to stop here… so these words: Laylatu 'l-Qadri khayrum min alfi shahar mean that Allah is describing one night that is better than 1000 months. Which months? Dunya months or heavenly months? What is the secret behind this night? Laylatu 'l-Qadri khayrum min alfi shahar. Why? Why this night is better than 1000 months? And the number 1000 is repeated. Wa inna yawma `inda Rabbika ka-alfi sannatin mimma ta`udoon One day is like 1000, one night is better than 1000 months. So why this 1000 always? 1 and three zeros. We have to learn, and we leave this for next time. Bi hurmati 'l-Fatiha.
