25 April 2011 Lefke, Cyprus

Discussion with Shaykh Hisham at Zhuhr

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: You are always deep in thought. Sayyidee, your heart is always present with the Prophet (s), not with the people surrounding you here, because of the current events.

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: This news was prophesied from before; it is necessary to happen. Prophet (s) said, “Await the great dispute among the Arab tribes.” It is necessary to happen! And now the order has begun. (Yes, Sayyidee.) And yet this is still nothing. In what ways death will come unto people we do not know. I mean, a great suffering will emerge, because they opposed the truth; they forgot Allah and they followed in the footsteps of Shaytan. The punishment of the ummah must come in this life. They will not be touched my punishment in akhirah.

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: But Mawlana, subhaanAllah, they are killing without even knowing who they are killing, Sayyidee. There are hundreds and thousands of murdered people.

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim:

...And We will divide you into parties, to taste the wrath of each other. Look how We make plain Our verses, in order that they understand. (Al-An`am, 6:65)

(Subhaa-Allah!) You will find the murdered amongst every group of people. The majority of the population will become casualties, but there is no end result to the killing. La hawla wa la quwatta illa billahi 'l-`Aliyyu 'l-`Adheem.

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: But Mawlana, if out of every five only one will remain, perhaps this may be weapons from the Heavens. Or are they man-made weaponry?

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: All kinds, because the causes of death are limitless.

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: “There are countless causes but death is one. “

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: Yes.

كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَآئِقَةُ الْمَوْتِ

Every person shall taste death... (Aali Imran, 3:185)

(SubhaanAllah!) In the end all must go; there cannot be even one person remaining. But the causes of death are varying. SubhaanAllah. O, that He would not leave us in the hands of the tyrants!

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: Mawlana, are awliyaullah spread over this world or are they gathered in one area?

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: They are united. Being split up around the world in this context does not mean that they are opposing each other. (Yes.) All of them look there (at the Preserved Tablets) and steer accordingly. The ones who are responsible for executing the Judgement are awliya, Hisham Effendi, not ordinary people. Not every person is able to bear these commands. Some of them are responsible to execute Judgments. Who had been judged against must go. The one who is protected will go from this Earth with the rank of a martyr. Who is not protected, the cleansing process for the servants of Allah is that who has committed crimes, the Judgment has now come against them. And there are all kinds of ways to execute it.

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: Mawlana, are these awliya different from Budala, Nujaba, Nuqaba, Awtaad, Akhyaar?

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: There are all kinds. Each one of them is responsible of one country or the execution of a certain kind of command. The ones who are responsible, according to their particular oath they perform. It is something so simple to stop the killing in countries. But this is happening as a cleansing of the servants of Allah so that they will not be held responsible on the Day of Judgment. In this world He cleanses them so that in the Hereafter it won’t be necessary for them to be cleansed by the fire of hell. (Alhamdulillah.) Their punishment is in dunya, not in akhirah, ahli ‘l-ummah. (Ummat an-Nabee.)

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: Mawlana, Sayyidina Shaykh `AbdAllah (q), Sultan ul-Awliya, mentioned the 40 khalifahs of Sayyidina al-Mahdi (a), and their deputies are 59, so that they total 99. Are these from amongst the Budala, Nuqaba, Nujaba, Awtaad, Akhyaar or are these a different kind of awliya?

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: All are included amongst them! May Allah raise their ranks. Fatihah. By the barakah of their holy spirits, for the honor of the one who has no Prophet after him (s), Fatihah.

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: Mawlana, he even mentioned the Mashayikh al-Islam. He mentioned about nine, Sayyidee. He mentioned them under the title of “Mashayikh al-Islam,” to appear at the time of Imam al-Mahdi (a).

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: Nine?

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: Nine. This was in the notebook that Shaykh Sharafuddin (q) wrote.

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: Vuzaraa, the ministers?

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: These are different than the seven ministers, Sayyidee.

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: Yes, there are all kinds; depending on their type of service, they are dressed.

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: Yes, each one had the title, “Shaykh ul-Islam” before his name; nine of them. (Mawlana Shaykh Nazim smiles.)

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: Yes.

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: Then he mentioned the A’imma al-Mudabbiroon (the imaams in action) and the A’imma adh-Dhakiroon (the imaams of remembrance).

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: All of that is there? (Yes.) Nothing is missing? (Nothing is missing.) (Mawlana Shaykh Nazim looks up.) Their eyes are affixed on the Preserved Tablets (al-lawh al-mahfoodh). The will that comes from them is coming from the Will of Allah Exalted, Most High. May Allah forgive us, O our Lord.

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: Then he mentioned 313 awliya at the feet of the 313 Companions of Badr.

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: All of those are murshids, and you are also one of them!

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: Astaghfirullah.

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: Yes, that is well-known, and Adnan Effendi is also one of them! There are also 99 khalifahs of Mahdi (a).

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: 40 and 59 khalifahs, a total of 99.

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: Holy ones! Blessed be their commands.

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: The first of the representatives is Muhyideen at-Taifee, and Grandshaykh (q) mentioned that he is Muhyideen ibn al-`Arabi (q) who appears at that time. Yes, one time he mentioned this in one of the suhbahs.

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: Is this with you?

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: No, Sayyidee. Abu ‘Isam took it and disappeared. I have written all that in my notebooks; I copied it by hand. I made three copies: one Shaykh Adnan took, one is with Shaykh Mustafa, and one copy is with me. If you like I can bring them, either the originals or copies.

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: Yes, bring.

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: If you like, I can hand-write it for you or I can make a photocopy.

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: Make photocopies. I sent a message to Anwar to search for it. It’s with ‘Isam?

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: Abu `Isam took it, Sayyidee, and perhaps al-Fransi took it from Abu ‘Isam. There was one French person from the people of Abu ‘Isam, perhaps that one was the one who took it from Abu ‘Isam. I told Shaykh Adnan, “It is not necessary for us to return the to Grandshaykh as he won’t read them,” so we kept it with us, Sayyidee. But then later, Shaykh Adnan insisted that we return it to Grandshaykh. Grandshaykh put it on his night table near him, near his bed, and after a day or two, Abu `Isam came. He saw the notebook, spoke with Grandshaykh in Daghestani language and then took the notebook!

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: So he has it!

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: Yes, he has it, Sayyidee.

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim:: It’s a must; I told them let him bring it!

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: If he brings the notebook to you, I will give money to Anwar, Sayyidee.

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: Yes, I will give him also.

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: Inshaa-Allah, he’ll get from both of us, but just let him bring this notebook! (Laughter.)

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: He will bring it! He will bring it!

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: Mawlana, it is a very beautiful notebook with the magnificent handwriting of Shaykh Sharafuddin (q).

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: O Allah, raise their ranks always!

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: Then I copied from the original notebook and gave it to Mawlana Shaykh, and we returned the notebook. Grandshaykh (q) then told me, “The original notebook is now with Abu ‘Isam, give me your copy.” I gave the notebook that was with me. He told me, “Add to them the following Qur’anic verses.” I did not know why. I added all of them. Then I gave the notebook to Mawlana. I’m speaking about the second one that I copied. After some time passed, Mawlana Shaykh `AbdAllah (q) gave it to me, but it was not the original notebook. The original one Abu ‘Isam took.

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: Mawlana gave you also?

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: He returned to me what I wrote as a copy of the original.

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: It never came to my mind during all the years of accompanying Mawlana Shaykh `AbdAllah to ask him neither for a notebook nor for a pencil. (Mawlana Shaykh giggles.)

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: You, Mawlana, are the khalifah, the Sultan ul-Awliya, Sayyidee! What do you need to ask for? But I asked. From the windowsill of Grandshaykh, we asked if there is permission to write it. He said, “Permission is granted, take it!”

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: Sometimes, he would put his glasses on and say, “Nazim Effendi!” One time he looked and showed my name; he pointed to a name. (Yes, Sayyidee.) But aside from my name, there is also “Burhaan al-Kurama,” a different one. (Shaykh Hisham Effendi smiles.) He pointed at a name and said, “This is you.” But there are others from before. (Yes, Sayyidee.)

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: O Allah, a relief from affliction! Support us with heavenly support until the sultanate of Shaytan is under our feet. (Aamanna wa sadaqna, Sayyidee!) But Allah gave the punishment of the ummah in this dunya so that there would be no punishment in akhirah.

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: Mawlana, when Grandshaykh passed away, on the same day--and I never told anyone this but you reminded me now--that night I saw a dream: he came with the notebook, opened it and told me, “This is your name among the names of the khalifahs of Sayyidina al-Mahdi (a): ‘Thameer ul-Haqq Zain al-`Abideen.’”

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: Of course. Those ones are hidden. And you are of the ones who have been made to be well-known in many various countries, but your spiritual being is united in the gathering with them. And also you are in Sham. You are in the East and in the West! Mashaa-Allah.

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: All of this is from your barakah, Sayyidee. When we were in the mosque of my uncle, Shaykh Mukhtar, and I was 12 years old sitting with my two brothers, Walid and Selim, you came and said, “Selim, come! Hisham, come!” You said, “Mawlana Shaykh `AbdAllah wants you to come and visit him now.” That is how you opened our eyes from that time. I was 12 years old.

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim: And now you are 13? (Laughter.)

Shaykh Hisham Effendi: Now I’m 11, Sayyidee! You took us and brought us to Sham.
