Look at that child what is she saying? “Baba.” She runs to her father. Why? [She loves him]
All professions, you cannot be a doctor, you cannot be an engineer, you cannot be a lawyer or whatever by yourself.
By yourself you will be so wild.
Doctor J. if your father did not make you study to be a doctor, would you study? [No, I would go and play].
Everyone needs someone to tell them to go and study. And when you listen and go and study, what is that?
That is obedience to father and mother. You have to obey your teacher as well. If the teacher says one plus one equals ... what? [2]
equals two ones. you have to accept. You cannot say, "No." You obey.
Obedience is important as we obey to becomes to professional in dunya, we must also obey to become professional in akhira.
We need to listen and obey. What do we say [sami`na wa ata`na] We say “we listen and we obey” but those who say “we are listening and obeying” are not saying the truth. They listen to the ego and obey it.
Sam`na wa ata`na that is for the Sahaba. When that ayah came they said it and they asked forgiveness, ghufranaka rabbana wa ilayka al-maseer.
When they did that they never went back to the wrong they had done.
This child running to her father is saying "Daddy!"
What about us? We will be running like that to the Prophet on Judgment Day.
آدم فمن دونه تحت لوائي ولا فخر
The Prophet (s) said, as related in Musnad Ahmad, “Adam faman dunahu tahta liwa’ee yawm al-qiyamah – Adam and whoever is other than him will be under my flag on Judgment Day, and I say it with no pride.”
Under his flag. It is not necessary for the Prophet to make shafa`a, his flag will do it for us.
Adam faman dunahu tahta liwa’ee yawm al-qiyamah - Adam and whoever is other than him will be under my flag on Judgment Day”, means “under my safety.” Anyone comes under that flag is saved.
So alhamdulillah that Allah swt gave us a way out of problems of difficulties out of disobedience by running to presence of the Prophet (s) .
That is why Allah said:
qul in kuntum tuhiboonAllah fatabi`ooenee yuhbibukumullah – Say: if you really love Allah then follow me, Allah will love you.
It means if you will follow Muhammad then Allah will love you.
That is why I when was in
I never get tired to forgive them.”
Does Allah get tired? If Allah says “I forgive you”, does He lose anything?
If all of us do sajda, if all human beings from Adam to Judgment Day, if everyone if he has a life from that time to Judgment Day and spending that whole life in sadja only not eating and not drinking, only in sajda, does Allah increase?
If no one makes sajda does Allah decrease? So if He is not increasing or decreasing in anything that is affecting or not affecting him in anything
Are you going to punish this child? We are all children. Is Allah going to punish sheep? We are sheep. Sheep and cheap.
So since we are cheap, ahh these are cheap, send them to graze. Where are they going to graze. In
In hellfire there is no grazing. It is fire. But in heavens there is grazing.
So good tidings to Ummat an-Nabi.
This is a blessed Ummah - ummatun marhuouma.
Kuntum khayra ummatin ukhrijat lin-nasi tamuroona bil-ma`roofi wa tanhawna AAani almunkari wa tuminoona billahi walaw amana ahlu al-kitabi lakana khayran lahum minhumu al-muminoona wa aktharuhumu al-fasiqoon
Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing in Allah. If only the People of the Book had faith, it were best for them: among them are some who have faith, but most of them are perverted transgressors. Al-`Imran [3:110]
You were the best nation that has been sent to humanity on earth. Allah is saying, “you are the best Ummah.” How do you go to hellfire? Then you are the worst.
Kuntum khayra ummatin ukhrijat li’n-nass. you were the best nation that has been sent to human beings, this Ummah, tamaroona bi ’l-ma`ruf wa tanhawna ani ’l-munkar - calling to good and rejecting what is forbidden.
What is calling to good? It is calling to Allah and His Prophet (s). Calling to His Mercy.
If we say, "Ya Rabbee! Your mercy is big, send mercy on us.” And if we say “O Allah, You are big, what we want to do, we do,” then Allah sends mercy.
If we ask mercy, Allah sends mercy. Who created you? He knows you sleep all the day, and at night you sing.
What are you doing? “O I just went home.” “What time you did you get to office?” “
What do you work? 10 minutes. Allah doesn’t want us to do more than 10 minutes.
He said pray five prayers. How long does it take, 5 prayers? 5 minutes each. So how long 5 prayers. 25 minutes. Then you are free. And still people don’t pray. They say, “There is no time.” Allah says, “Give me 25 minutes, five prayers and the rest is for you.”
We say, "we are busy,” and Allah destroyed the whole stock market.
You don’t have money. But there are many people who have lot of money. Those who play stock market are like gambling. They are going to sink now. They are building islands in the sea and those islands are going to sink down
Allah delays but doesn’t leave you. Allah likes to clean Ummat an-Nabi (s) in this dunya that is why Allah takes everything from them.
So what He is asking? “Give Me 25 minutes, and you take the rest. And I will forgive you.”
Wa aqeemoo as-salata wa Aatoo az-zakAata w’aqridUllaha qardan hasanan wa maA tuqaddimoo li-anfusikum min khayrin tajidoohu `Inda Allahi huwa khayran wa `athama ajran w ’astaghfirullaha inna Allaha ghafoorun raheem.
and establish regular Prayer and give regular Charity; and loan to Allah a Beautiful Loan. And whatever good ye send forth for your souls ye shall find it in Allah's Presence,- yea, better and greater, in Reward and seek ye the Grace of Allah, for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. Al-Muzzammil [73:20].
Pray the prayer, give your zakaat and give loans to Allah swt - it means give charity. That is what He wants from us. He is not increasing with our worshipness and not decreasing.
So awliyaullah said, “If Allah is not increasing and not decreasing because of our worship or not worship, why to judge us?”
May Allah make us with the Prophet (s), here and in akhira.
Bi hurmati’l-habib bi-hurmati 'l-Fatiha.
